by using LoadVars.
But i don't know how to get JSON from the HTML embed
Javascript and get to work in flash?

Well, as near as I can tell the "do javascript" will in no way, shape or form pass info back out to Applescript from Bridge, and I need to grab the long user name from system info there.
To be honest, I was just trying to do a nice elegant dialog box with Bridge because Illustrator CS2 didn't know Script UI and I thought since everyone has CS3 Bridge on their machines already... But I've settled for 3 Applescript dialogs instead, so the fight is over.
1.5 days tinkering with JS. 1.5 hours recoding in AS. Whee...

How can I get a parameter back into a servlet invoked from an IMG tag ?

I'm using a servlet to create several graphical plots per JSP i.e. per HTML page. Each graph is supposed to be different, according to a parameter which I want to pass back from my JSP. I'm getting several plots but they're all the same!
I've tried setting an attribute in the session object before each IMG SRC= , but all I get is each plot the same! In fact, my debugging efforts show that the servlet is only called once despite 3 calls, each with a different session parameter value. I'm not sure the session parameter values are getting used properly.
I just can't find a way of getting a parameter back into my servlet which is invoked from the IMG tag (i.e. SRC= "servlet name").
Can anyone tell me the best way to pass a parameter back into a servlet which is invoked from an IMG tag? Can the request object be used? I can't, at the moment, see how it could be used?
I'll certainly be very grateful if anyone can help with this - could even be useful for others as well!

Obviously, I can't tell exactly what you did, but it sounds like you may have thought you were just putting it in the sidebar, but you actually put it somewhere else. The sidebar is not a location to put things, just a way to create a quick shortcut to access a file or folder, so you can't put things "back" from there.

JSON is a way to format data, not a way to fetch data. Call it an alternative to XML.
Are you perhaps talking about doing an ajax request to fetch data?

than how can we get db connection in our Servlet because we need get some database data through this Servlet,

JHeadstart is based on the Model-View-Controller (MVC) principle. This means that the Model layer is responsible for communication with the database (and thus database connection pooling). Accessing the database directly from a JSP or Servlet is against the principles of MVC. JHeadstart uses BC4J as the technology to implement the model layer. By going through an BC4J Application Module to do some database action (for example calling a stored procedure as you mentioned in another thread) you automatically get the database connection pooling.
So, in the JHeadstart philosophy, we do not access the database from a servlet, instead we would do the following:
- write a method on the BC4J app module that performs the database action
- add a method to the apporpriate handler that calls this AM method
- write a custom Struts action that calls the handler method
Having said this, nobody will stop you from doing database access in a servlet. But JHeadstart might not be the right choice for you if you do not want to stick with the principles of MVC.

Fetching Data from Another Entity (Lookup) - Done in 4.0 and needs to be done in 2013

We have a situation where we need to grab associated fields from a filtered lookup. We're willing to use javascript in conjunction with with either odata, soap or fetchxml. The goal is to bring in numbers from a custom entity and then fill in
fields to do mathematical calculations.
Basically on change of a lookup, you grab data, put it on the form, then perform the calculations.
Here is how the code used to work. How would you achieve the objective in 2013?

To Retrieve from other entity and populate the fields, for example on entering the account name in opportunity form the fields from account form like Sector, Region can be retrieved and can be auto populated in opportunity form using Odata as follows.
Call the function getAccountDetails in onchange event of Companyname. Do not forget to add Jquery

Error while deleting a row from the Entity Object

Hi OAF Guys,
i am unable to delete the newly created row from the entity object.
let me explain my scenario.
1. i have a table of which some of the columns are mandatory.
2. I am writing the code in the validateEntity to check wether the user really enter anything into the fields.
3. My problem is, when the user creates row and wanted to delete the row without entering any details, the validate entity of the EO gets fired which will not allows to delete the row.
Is there any workaround for this problem.

I am very sorry for not providing you the complete details of my scenario. Here i am explaining
1. what code you have placed while creating the row and in validation method on EOImpl.
while creating a new row i am initializing the primary key of the EO with the sequence value.
2.When you say, you are unable to delete the row, are you getting a error message ? if yes, custom message or fwk error ?
its not the fwk error, its the custom message which wrote in my validateEntity method of EO to check whether the user had entered all the necesary columns or not.
3.How are you trying to delete the row ?
while the user clicks on the delete switcher i am getting the primary key of the row and searching for the row in the vo and finally deleting it.
The problem arises when the user creates a row, and later doesnt want to enter the details and delete it. Here while deleting the row the validateEntity method of the EO gets fired and doesnt allow me to do so :(.

You cannot use the HttpServletRequest object to retrieve parameters from a multipart form. You'll have to use a package that can parse such a form. I suggest Apache commons FileUpload.

Using this package you can get both the file upload and any other parameters.

I have a similar issue and what I tried to do is to install JSON.NET in my project and used the "Assign" activity (under "Primitives" category on the toolbox) to assign the string to an object:

How to get values from an IFrame...

Hi everyone. I have come to a complete stop i my project and need to ask the following: How do i get the values from an IFrame.
Situation: I have a main.jsp page that contains an IFrame(data.jsp). Data.jsp is basically made up of a bunch of checkboxes. The state of these boxes(checked or unchecked) is determined and set by a JAVA program and the results are then stored in a StringBuffer. Contents of Stringbuffer could look something like this: <tr><input type='checkbox' name='box0' CHECKED></tr>.
The StringBuffer in then presented in the IFrame(data.jsp) like so: <%=res.getInfo()%>
The user should be able to check or uncheck the boxes from the main.jsp page then when pressing a submit button the changes should be stored in a DBase.
After the submit button have been pressed i go into my Servlet's doPost() method for some basic processing. This is were the problem starts. I usally use HttpServletRequest.getParameter(String param) to get values from the main.jsp page. But these checkboxes are stored in the IFrame, so how do i go about to retrieve the values from data.jsp from the doPost() method or in some other way maybe. This is quite urgent and i hope that i have explained the scenario in enough detail.
Any help would be greatlly apritiated.

How to get Position from EmployeeInfo in DIAPI

I am using DIAPI(JCO) for SAP B1. According to one or my reuirement i am in need of Position from the EmployeesInfo. But there seems no option or method for getting position from that. Can anyone guide me how to get that from EmployeesInfo ? Any help is appreciated..

Looking at the DI API properties vs. DB fields mapping documentation in the SAP Business One developer area (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c5f5dbcc-0a01-0010-5d82-f25f2bee715e)
it seems that this field is not exposed (yet).
I.e. you could only run a SQL statement to get this information.

The jar-Archive that I generated is corrupt. Is that normal?
Can you provide me with information on database acces?

I see that you are interested in getting data from R/3, please correct me if I'm wrong.
If that's so, you cannot do it by purely using EJBs, as an entity bean maps to a Table row in the database, which is not quite straight forward in terms of R/3.
The only way to get data from R/3 is to use
1)Java + SAP JCO
2)or a Netweaver technology like Webdynpro + Adaptive RFC
3)Portal Component + SAP JCO.
Again, assuming you're dealing with a WebAS server, coming to EJBs, its no different to any other application server. So, you need an RDBMS to use Entity Beans.
Please let me know if you've got more doubts.
