How can I retrieve parent control size in pixels?

I'm using BusinessGraphics control and there is no way to bind a width or height attribute to it - it's not bindable.
But I need to reduce or extend control to browser window. I rely on do this through wdDoModifyView method.

I have a tab folder with several tabs, and in one of the tabs I have another tab folder. When I start the test I can reach all tab items from the parent tab folder. I have the following code:
get-tab-folder | get-tab-item "Übersicht" | click
get-tab-folder | get-tab-item "Benutzer Vertretung" | click
with [get-tab-item Dokumente] {

get-tab-folder | get-tab-item Arbeitsplatz | click
get-tab-folder | get-tab-item "Übersicht" | click
The parent folder has the tab items: "Übersicht", "Benutzer Vertretung" und "Dokumente".
In the tab item "Dokuemente there is another tabfolder with tab item "Arbeitsplat".
When I do the click in this tab item
"get-tab-folder | get-tab-item "Arbeitsplat" | click" I can't select any tab items from the parent folder.
This means, the last code line gives an error.
But the first line is ok, but they are equal.
I think this is, because "get-tab-folder" has the wrong parent control. But I don't know to set the right parent control.
I have a screenshot of the app attached.
Has anyone an idea?

if it doesn't help, could you please try to play with indexes, like:
get-tab-folder -index 0 ...
get-tab-folder -index 1 ...

Can't get Parental Controls Preference Pane to load

On a fairly vanilla iMac (Core 2 Duo, 2 GHz) running Mac OS X 10.5.4 I get the infinite colored pinwheel when trying to get into the Parental Controls pane of System Preferences.
This has been going on for several 10.5.x releases now, I can't remember exactly when it started.
I've tried repairing permissions and installing the latest combo updater (everything is up-to-date).
The error I see in the console is:
System Preferences[713] * -[NSCFArray objectAtIndex:]: index (0) beyond bounds (0)
Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Thanks - that's nice and clear - so only works if I set-up my children with separate log-on and restrict what they can view in their itunes view?

K1: Update Android Market version to latest to get parental controls?

I noticed that the Lenovo K1's Android Market version is 1.0.28 which does not have the parental control/PIN for in-app purchases. This allows kids to accidentally purchase items without your consent, and therefore makes the Lenovo K1 and other android tablets very family/kid unfriendly.
From what I've read online, the latest Android Market version is 3.1+ and has the PIN code setting.
Does anyone know how we can get the latest Android Market?

The Android Market app updates itself as appropriate for each device.
My market app is version 3.4.4 on my A1, but you're assuming that the Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich devices -- your K1 being one of the former -- use the same market app. I don't know that is the case. You may, in fact, have a newer market app that is earlier in its lifecycle. 1.0.28 may be the very latest version of the HC/ICS app.

I'm trying to add a variable number of same-sized Canvas
squares to the HorizontalList below:

I want the squares to be proportional such that as the app is
resized, the squares also grow or shrink in size. My item renderer
gets the size of the parent HorizontalList (via
BaseListData.owner.width) in order to calculate the dimensions of
each canvas square; as the app is resized, the size of the parent
changes and my square's dimensions are recalculated. However, it
seems that the size of the parent container isn't know until I
render some content but I can't render content until I know the
amount of real estate available in the parent. I missing something
basic here, right?

Turn it around. Instead of having the item renderer calculate
its width based on it's parent's width, have the HorizontalList set
the size of its children in updateDisplayList().

Parent Controls aren't allowing access

I am an educator with 14 computers in my mobile lab. I can't seem to get Parent Controls to allow access to just the programs I want to allow. We went from Leopard to Snow Leopard and then Lion. I have installed all available updates and now have Mac OS X 10.7.5 but when I active the controls to allow only access to the Adobe CS6 programs the students still can't access them. I have searched all over and keep finding "How to" lists but it doesn't seem that others are having this same issue. Can anyone help?

Are you leaving the Mailbox Role checked? You need to "uncheck" the role that you want to uninstall and then click next. The license key has nothing to do with it.

Remote Parental Controls from 10.6 incompatible with 10.7 client

All,
This weekend I was wresting with getting Parental Controls setup on my Neice's MBP which is running Lion, no problem I have that working. But I wanted to setup my Sister's iMac which is running Snow Leopard as the remote admin machine. Unfortunately as it turns out Apple has made a number of changes in kerberos from Snow Leopard to Lion which makes them incompatbile and the iMac will refuse to connect to the Lion machine. It'll just sit there for a few mins spinning its wheels, then finally comes back and says invalid username or password..
Here's a snip from the MBP's logs:

I'm guessing there is no work around for it, but curious if others have experienced this, and if they know of a possible workaround?
The funny thing is that screen sharing and everything works just fine, just can't manage the Parental Controls..
I think the only 'fix' is to upgrade everything to Lion, but why not ask, and maybe someone will find this post and will be saved from countless hours of hair pulling!

I know this is a dated thread, but since I'm seeing the same behavior currently, I didn't see any reason to start up a new one w/ the exact same symptoms. I rebuilt a MacBook w/ a 10.6.6 installer and was surprised to find that most updates from my 10.6.8 Server SUS were not "visible" to the client, including the 10.6.8 v1.1 combo updater.
This may be a larger issue w/ Apple's catalogs (which I believe are causing 10.5.8 Leopard SUS to bail out w/ an error when checking for new updates), as pointing to another 10.6.8 server on another network entirely results in the same problem. I'm not missing ALL of the updates on the MacBook, just MOST of them, your Safari 5.1.7 above included. Another is GarageBand 6.0.5. So, for comparison, on a 10.8 test Server SUS, I downloaded and enabled both of those updates and pointed the MacBook to it. They show up immediately on the MacBook.
Are any of you experiencing this currently? And if so, do you have any points of comparison on other SUS machines by chance? Again, I'm thinking this has something to do w/ the upstream catalogs that Apple is putting out.

I made my main account a parental control account and when I accessed the account created as admin, at the Parental Control options I deleted my main account and now I can't get back in it. I need help with this problem.

I made my administrator account a parental control account, at the time of creating it, the system asked for my administrator password, to restart the computer, and the new account was created. When I accessed that account at the parental control menu I could see my main account on the list and i deleted the account from that list, and now i'm trying to get back to it but I'm not able to because every time i restart the computer brings me back to the account I created. I searched for help on the web and it says to go to users and select the account I want to restore but I can't do it. Please help.

I have Cox Internet service, which allows me to control what content other users on my computer see and do. My son has parental controls which do not allow him to view certain websites, download programming, ext... With this last update to Firefox, I am still able to get on the internet, but when he tries to click on the Firefox icon on his desktop it tells him there has been an error and shuts down. He is forced to use Internet Explore. I do not want him using this web browser. Please help us get him back on Firefox.

Add-ons are the responsibility of their authors. McAfee does not even put their extension on http://addons.mozilla.org you had to install it from their site.
Disable "McAfee Site Advisor" extension which was just updated to 3.4.0, which probably took it out of the addons block list.
* "Ctrl+Shift+A" > find McAfee Site Advisor and use "Disable", and then restart Firefox.
* Do a Google Search no problem
* It seems that if you re-enable Site Advisor again, and restart Firefox you are okay. At least you know where to look if you get the error again or Google searches slow down.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account then the steps on this page will give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6170
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

Experimental advice ... but, plausibly, the preference files containing the parental control setting may be damaged. If so, removing the iTunes preference files may help.
For the basic technique, see the "Remove iTunes preference files" section from the "User-specific troubleshooting" section of the following document:
iTunes for Windows Vista or Windows 7: Troubleshooting unexpected quits, freezes, or launch issues
To see those folders, you'll need to first set your PC to view hidden files and folders
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
Click OK.
Prior to doing the preference file rebuilds: Best to make a note of any custom preferences you have set up for your iTunes. (Rebuilding pref files returns preferences to their defaults ... so you'll likely have to set some of those custom preferences up again from scratch.) Also make a note of any third-party plugins/add-ons you have installed. You may have to reinstall those after the rebuilds.
Things to watch out for during the rebuilds
Rebuilding the preference files in the \Local\ location causes the iTunes license agreement to run. So you'll need to agree to that again.
Rebuilding the preference files in the \Roaming\ location causes the iTunes Setup Assistant to run. When prompted to do so, do not add files to your iTunes library. (Otherwise you'll end up with a library full of duplicates.)
