GET PROPERTIES function for TABLE OPERATORS sometimes get MMM1034

Hi! Another strange problem occurrs in my OMBPlus script:
I call for the SCHEMA property on a table operator of a mapping by issuing:
OMBRETRIEVE MAPPING 'SSM_ODS_MU_DETALJ_INS' OPERATOR 'SSM_ODS_MU_DETALJ' GET PROPERTIES (SCHEMA)
(The command OMBRETRIEVE MAPPING 'SSM_ODS_MU_DETALJ_INS' GET PROPERTIES (BUSINESS_NAME) works.)
The reply is:
+ OMB02918: Property SCHEMA of SSM_ODS_MU_DETALJ does not exist: MMM1034: Property SCHEMA does not exist.+
I know I have this property set so I went into OWB Designer and looked at the setting and everything looked OK. The SCHEMA was set to 'SSM' so I closed OWB Designer
Then I reran the exact command from above
OMBRETRIEVE MAPPING 'SSM_ODS_MU_DETALJ_INS' OPERATOR 'SSM_ODS_MU_DETALJ' GET PROPERTIES (SCHEMA)
And it answered 'SSM' !
Why did I get an error the first time? What did OWB Designer do that suddenly made the property valid for read by OMB? Why does it say that the property doesn't exist?
It might have something to do with the mapping and it's tables have been recently imported, but why can OWB fix it and not OMB? Any thoughts of what I'm hitting here would be greatly appriciated!

Nevermind! I went into OWB Desginer and validated everything and that seems to have solved the problem. It is however a strange behaviour...

Max function in yur case returns NULL and then
null + <anything> ... is still null
You can do
p_maxCode:=nvl(p_maxCode,0)+1;
or
select nvl(max(code),0) into p_maxCode from cms_codedetails where codetypeid=0;
Of course if YOU have decide that null in this case can be treated as 0

Instr function for table column

hi,
lets consider the basic soctt.emp table. i need to check for the first occurence of 'a' in the Ename column in emp table.
select instr(ename,'a') from empabove function does not seem to work

If it's not doing what you want, then post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements) and the results you want from that data. Dplain how you get those results from that data.
If you can show the problem using commonly available tables (such as those in the scott or hr schemas) then you don't need to post any sample data, just the results and explanation.
Always say which version of Oracle you're using.

Propagate Properties option for Primary Keys?

Hi,
I have a physical model Oracle Database 11g created. I would like to change Using Index option from one value to another for most of primary keys in the model. Is there a way to do it? Additionally I would like to assign all primary key indexes to one tablespace.
Now, I have to:
1. Double click on one of the primary keys.
2. Change Using Index option on General tab.
3. Go to Using Index tab and select proper tablespace.
All these steps have to be repeated for each primary key.
Is there a way to do it once and propagate the change for all? There is similar option on indexes but I don't see it for primary keys.

User defined function for getting last string in the line

Hi Experts,
I am not java expert, can anyone give me user defined function for getting last string in the line.
for example if the source field is "NEW ARBOUR SQUARE" i want to pass to target field only last string that is "SQUARE"
please help me out of this.

You don't even need a UDF for this. In the graphical editor look for the standard functions and once you do a scroll over on 'text functions; you will find what you are looking for.
Just a piece of advice, try keeping UDF's to minimum unless really required or it is complicated without it.

How to get the F4 help for table columns ..

Dear All,
Here I have created table with cell editors of INPUT FIELD .
And I would like to provide the f4 help for those columns .
Here I have checked the node , which i have binded to the table, there input help mode is set to Automatic and search helps are also attached for that node .
But in the table I am not getting the F4 help . Where as if i create the input fields invidually i am able to see the F4 help .
But for table column I am unable to find..
Help me regard this...

Hi,
In debugging , the I have seen the node info attributes list ( VALUE_HELP_ID and VALUE_HELP_MODE ) .
For you understanding, Here I am giving the values which contains ,
VALUE_HELP_ID contains the AUTO:VBUK
                                                AUTO:VBUP
                                                AUTO:MAT1
                                                AUTO:H_T023
and
VALUE_HELP_MODE contains the all Zeros for all the four attributes .
Hope I have given correct inputs .

Syntax check for tables and function modules

Hi,
I am writing a program that perform syntax check on object such as executable programs , function modules and tables.
Syntax check works fine for programs, but not for tables.
How can I perform syntax check on my tables or structures?
I get my data from the table TADIR. But I don't get my function modules from there. What is the table for this.

[iPhone] UI Design pattern for table views with properties and children?

Hello,
I'm getting started with iPhone development and I have a question about the proper way to display a list that has both properties of the list itself as well as the ability to drill down into the members of the list. For example, my data is a Group (of people say). The Group itself can have properties - the name of the group, group email address, web page, etc. - and it obviously has members which also have properties - name, address, etc.
In my table view, I want to show the Group members and have accessory/disclosure buttons on each row to show the details of a person, but I also want to be able to edit the properties of the group - Group name, etc. What's the UI pattern for editing the properties of the table itself?
I thought about having a tabbar that toggles between the list and the properties of the list.
I also thought about having a parent table that lists the groups (so I could have more than one) and then have accessory buttons on each group row. The UI would then have to be that the user taps the row to drill down to the group members and taps the accessory button to edit the properties of the group. Is that "proper" - tap the bar or tap the accessory icon in a table row?

I don't think I'd use a tab bar.
You could break the table up into 2 sections, section 0 being the properties, section 1 the list.
Make section 0 just say 'Properties', then when you tap that row you drill down to a properties table, slap an edit button in the navigation bar to go into edit mode.
