Can anyone please tell me how can I get the connection service name using forms 6i.

Let me explain in a bit detail.
Lets suppose, using TNSNAMES.ORA, I created a service by the name DBServer
similarly I have some other services in TNSNAMES.ORA and I may swith between these services
Now I connect my forms using scott/tiger@dbserver
I wish to get this service name i.e. 'dbserver' using the form 6i

Iam working on setting up a dynamic partner link in a BPEL, by passing the endpoint of a web service queried from the UDDI (Oracle Service Registry 10.3 ) using the API. Iam able to do it successfully.
Now, for example I have two operations in my wsdl, one to createCustomer and the other to bookTicket. I need to get the operation name using UDDI API so that i can pass it along with the endpoint to the partner link. ie. When i need to createCustomer, my UDDI API code will need to get the service name createCustomer and the endpoint and I would pass them to the partnerlink and the createCustomer operation of my webservice would be called.
Can any one help me to get the service names of the wsdl using UDDI APIs.

My application has code that is dependent on the databases "Global Name" make application processing chooses. I want to switch that to the "Service Name" the the user connected to. I have looked at SYS_CONTEXT but I do not seem to see it their. Any ideas?

Getting the file name using ehdr:getRequestHeader function in style sheet

Hi, I am facing an issue while using ehdr:getRequestHeader function to get the name of the file, which was placed in FTPS server and read by FTP Adapter. In style sheet I am trying to get the file name as below.

When I use the same function getRequestHeader for FileAdapter, it is working fine. Do anyone know why this issue occurs? Is this an issue with environment?

As far as I can see the problem is the invoke of the SOAP service. This could be because of an empty filename but maybe there are other issues. First, make sure that the filename is read correctly by looking it up in the BPEL runtime process. Maybe the content is different than you expected it so that the read action for the properties give wrong result. Are you sure that ehdr is the correct prefix for the ftpheader?

Query to get the service name

Hi There,
I want to append the SERVICE name to my email subject sent using UTL_SMTP. I am running it within PL/SQL so that it can change based on the instance. I can do a V$instance, but that shows the sid and not the service name.

How to get the directory name using vnode address

Weblogic server can have multiple services in NT & W2K. Is there any
way to get all the Weblogic service names ? Since the user can give
any service name they want it I don't know how we can get the service
names. I do see that all the service names are created in
SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services.

Hmm. One way to address this would be to look at the service parameters
in the registry. For example, the ImagePath parameter for the wls
service is a fully qualified path name to the beasvc.exe executable.
Under the Parameters folder there is a CmdLine parameter which is a
string ending with 'weblogic.Server'. You could search the registry
looking for 1 or both of these params - they will be consistent across
all of your wls service instances. If you can find these params then you
can grab the service name since it will be a wls instance.

How do I get a new value for the service name field and update it in Connection Properties?

I am running Windows Vista. I just upgraded to Firefox 4. When I try to log on to the internet, it tells me the proxy server is refusing connections. A diagnostic reported Error 815 and said the remote server is not responding because there is an invalid value for the "Service Name" field. It said to get a new value and update it in Connection Properties. How do I do this?

When you create a new film script, the first page you see is a title page.
The page after this title page is the one where you generally type in your scenes.
It looks like you are facing some issue and not able to delete any text.
Can you please send me this script so that I can have a better look at your issue?
You can save this script to disk by using option 'File -> Save to disk'. This will create a '.stdoc' file on your system.

Unable to get Windows User Name using Oracle Forms 6i, Jinitiator 1.3.1.17

Requirement: Get Windows User Name using Oracle Web Forms 6i.
Tools Using: Windows NT, Oracle web forms 6i, Oracle 10g DB.
Description: I am using GetClientInfo JBean from otn.oracle.com, which gets windows user name, IP address and machine name. The demo I got from oracle web site uses Jinitiator version 1.1.7.18. While we are using the latest version Jinitiator 1.3.1.17. Due to this reason, I am unable to use Javakey which comes with older version but doesn't come with newer version, that's why I can't create the new JavaBean Java identity (PJC).
Please advise what to do. All environment variables are set everything is done, this is the only thing bothering me.
I went through the article 202768.1 from metalink, but on step 5, it gives an error keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Input not an X.509 Certificate.
Also, please let me know if there is any other workaround for this requirement.

Thanks for your kind reply. Actually there was a problem in creating a certificate, now it is okay with the same method. Certificate got imported on client and everything is ready.
Now, the problem is when I try to set Bean Area Implementation Class property with oracle.forms.demos.GetClientInfo, it gives an error FRM-13008 Cannot find JavaBean with name 'oracle.forms.demos.GetClientInfo'.
I went through the articles 1072329.6, 196824.1, and set ClassPath and Path variables with proper values. Also, I have copied jar file and signature file in forms60/java folder. I don't see any problems. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. My limitation is that I have to do all this in forms6i.
I searched forums on metalink and found out that someone installed Patch 15, and everything went okay for him. Do you think I should install Patch 15? if YES, how will I do it, I mean should I first uninstall my forms and then install patch15 or install the patch on my forms?
