Get the the value in input field based upon the fast input field

Hello Experts,
i am new to webdunpro abap.
i have a small doubt in webdynpro.
isuue:- i have two input filed one is for " MATNR" and second input filed " Material Description"
I have to chhose the MATNR by pressing f4 (it is standard search help), it will come from MARA table.
Once it is filled the second inputfiled shoul filled automaticaly base upon the MATNR with readonly mode.
Could any body send me the the splutin or any sample code for this

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed: Copy a line of text from this web page into the window of another application. Wait for the script to run. It usually takes a few minutes. Then paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page. The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. Details follow.
4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

Getting a zero value from text field

Hi,
The form has 3 text fields for Freight areas, the viewer inserts "1" in the field that is applicable to their area.
The first 2 fields have a cost of $10.00 and $15.00 and the third is for pick up so there is zero cost. If they insert "1" in either of the 2 fields, it shows up as 1 in the returned email to to the site owner and to the viewer but I can't get the free freight field to display anything in those returned emails.

Yes, but this a bit of a long running issue. The OP ideally wants to add the freight cost to the total price at the bottom of the form on the website before the information is sent back via php but that is done using javascript and radio buttons mess with the calculations. Inserting 1 into the freight form fields, which is counter-intuitive, does the trick but that will mess with the total price when php collects the information because the value is 1 rather than 10 or 15.

Getting run time value on form field by sql query and function

we have below requirement -
create a form with fields as below -

Organizational E2 70 1-jan-2010 1-jan-2011
lov of kra_type has 2 values (Functinal, Organizational). requirement is to validate Weightage field such that for same grade :- Fuctional Weightage + Organizational Weightage = 100.
please suggest on how to approch this.

this is not related to FORMS at all......
1) create a database function which take grade parameter and return the total weightage.

System generated value for a field and incrementing (using module pool pro)

Hi,
I'm getting system generated value for a field and incrementing (i.e done by coding) when i'm saving the screen or transaction (which is created using module pool programming) while modifying, saving its working fine, but when i'm going out of the screen or exit n again i start the screen (with some ztransco) the value for the field again starting from 0 so i want to start from the same value for a field where we exit or got out from the screen n incremented respectively while saving the screen,

Will my imac run the fast speeds for google fiber?

How can I know in advance if getting the fast googlefiber will actually make my internet connection faster on my imac? Imac is four years old, running 10.6.8.

Not knowing what you're current Internet speed is, I can't say for certain you'll really notice any difference for ordinary web surfing. I have a slow DSL and the only reason for getting a faster speed would be for downloading and uploading files. At around 1Mbps down and .38 up, pages load quite fast, so I don't think I'd notice the difference for ordinary loading of web pages. But going from my current DSL to Verizon fiber would make a significant difference for larger downloads. Right now a 1GB file takes over two hours; with 15/5 that would take far less, just minutes I suppose.
But to answer your initial question, the Mac won't have any problem with the increased speed.

How to get the value entered in input enabled field of a list output?

I am developing a program to display list with two input enabled fields . After users enetered the values into these fields I need to do some calculations based on these values and modify the value of another field in the list.
But i couldn't have an idea how to read the values after users enter into these fields.
Please help me on solving this problem? If possible please provide the sample code.

You can enable disable screen fields in at selection screen output event.
And by using loop at screen.
And for changing the values you can do in initialization event.

Need help to get the user entered value from a input field in Table in OA

I have a table in my OA page.
Here one column is there which should take in put from user.
i.e an item quantity field text input is there which should take the updated value when the add to cart link which is next column in the table. On clicking of the link I am trying to get the updated value entered by user. for the respected row for which addto cart link get clicked.
For that link I have defined some parameter through SPEL,( like this parameter name: item_quantity value : ${oa.MisibeItemSearchVO.ItemQuantity} ) which has fireaction. But when i am clicking the addto cart link I am not getting the current value entered by the user.
Can any body guide me how to get that related value for which the add to cart link got clicked.
for this when i am doing pageContext.getParameter("item_quantity"));
I am not getting the value entered by user.

Trying to get the input parameter of a web service fxn based on table value

Hello--
I am new to ADF and Jdev 11g (I am a forms developer). I had created a web service from a pl/sql stored db package. I can successfully execute a function with an input parameter from ADF Faces.
Instead of the input parameter being enterable by the user, I would like it to be based on a selected ADF table column value. How would I correlate the selected row column value as the function input parameter?
I played with an ADF output text based on the ADF table column with the PartialTriggers value set to the ADF table...which updates the output text based on the column selected. Do I use some sort of partial trigger on the input parameter?
From a forms point of view, I am looking for the "Copy Value from Item" property :)

But if your table is bound to a ViewObject, it will be easier to get the current selection.

User wants to get the cumulative values based on his input.

I am working one FI Report; the out put values are Cumulative values for Current, Previous years. I developed and it fetches the data last 3 years Cumulative years data without any input FYMonth based on SAPexits and varible offsets. But user wants to put Fiscal year Month as input. So he wants get the cumulative values based on his input. For example, If his input SEP'2005(062005), Then Query gives the Output Cumulative Value (I.e., Sum of Total values of Form APR'2005 to SEP'2005)
Please provide the solution

You can try doing this.
1. If the user input is fiscal period(2005006) , you can create a customer exit variable which will take the user value (i_step =2), and change the variable value to 20005001. (this is a simple code where tye last 2 digits are replaced by 01).
if the user is entering calmonth, you can use FM - DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT, to convert the month to fiscal period.
2. You can create a rkf with restrictions on time char based on the customer exit variable and the user entered variable.

Getting Drop Down list for a field in portal based on the values in R/3

Presently we were customizing the ESS>>Family Members/Dependants iview in Portal. Because of the design requirement, in R/3 we have added some custom field for infotype 21 (Family Member details Infotype). We have to display these field on portal in Family Member Iview.
However for these custom fields i am not able to get the drop down list with all the possible values description(F4 help ) in portal unlike the standard SAP fields.
I am able to display the codes but the description is not coming up for the fields. However for standard SAP field, only description comes.
For this I tried to attach the search help to the data element and also assigned a check table to the data element in R/3. But still I am not getting the description in the drop down.
So how can I get the description and only the description in the drop down.

When you run the Search hep is it giving the description or not
You have to create the serarch help with both the fieldname and its description field then we cna the values. Or
Try to mantain the text table for this field and get the data.
Get the valeusinto drop drown with this table Or create the SearchHelp for this text table

Let me make sure u r working with table control.
First u have to create a event(VALIDATE) to do the validation.
Inside the event,
1. First get the current index where user has pointed the curson
2. Once u get the index read the internal table with index value.
3. Now u can compare the col1 and col2 values and populate the error message.

How to get the value of a parameter/field in a ADF Read-Only Form

Hi,
My requirement is as follows. Could anyone shed some light on this issue.
I am showing the records from db table using ADF Read-Only Form ( which uses ViewObject created for the table). Now I want to capture(get) the value of a field in this form and then have to invoke an action based on the value in this field. I mean to say the next page depends the value of a field in this form.
Please suggest how can I achieve this functionality?

That's indeed what Sivaji needs.
In the page definition you can add a value to the parameters of a certain method. Like RJundi mentioned, point to the attribute of the current row.
Example:
The value of the read only textfield will be something like this:
#{bindings.EmployeeName.inputValue}points to an attribute value in the pageDef of the page:
    <attributeValues id="EmployeeName" IterBinding="AllEmployees">
      <AttrNames>
        <Item Value="EmployeeName"/>
      </AttrNames>

After dropping the method, a screen will appear asking to fill in a value for the parameter ('name' in this example). Fill in '#{bindings.EmployeeName.inputValue}' if you want to pass the EmployeeName of the current row.

F4 help based on the Value in other field

I have a requirement in which there are two fields say field1 and field 2 in an ALV grid (in which new data can be entered). The F4 help of field 2 should be based on the value the user enters on field1.I have checked out the BC_ALV* programs but there are no clear help .
I have tried setting the parameter id of the first field value and then get that parameter id on_f4 event of the second field.But where can i set the parameter id of the first field . on_f4 of first field does not have its value and there is no event after_f4 . There is a parameter e_afterf4 in data change event but to tirgger that there shud be some event right.
Moreover If at all i get the first field value , i can use FM F4_int_table_value_request to show the refined f4 in field 2 . But I am passing the a field symbol table in my grids set table for first display . what can i pass as parameters here to the FM F4_int_table_value_request?
