Get value formula worksheet with POV manange

I have a number of spreadsheets with numerous of getvalue formulas to populate reports. when I refresh the data, I get an error that says each member can be used once and only once and the pov manager pops up. I cant get rid of this issue. Its like the worksheets has characteristics of an adhoc grid, but with out the adhoc grid.

This error occurs when a formula is pointing to cells that have repeated members for example:
A1 has Account#NetIncome and B1 has Account#NetSales; and your get formula accidentally is referencing A1 and B1 among the other cell references, hence the error. I know this is unlikely when is pointing to something so obvious like accounts, but the Custom and IC dimensions can have similar members and the cell reference can be confused.
So, all you can do, although you probably already have tried it, is to check the cell reference until you find the dimension that is being repeated in your formula.
Also, make sure the member that is being referenced on the cell is not part of your point of view. It is recommended to have all 12 dimensions visible on your spreadsheet and avoid using the POV when you are using formulas.

    Hello everyone!
    My problem is:
    I have created JPanel, i have an array of JButtons and array of JLabels, they are all placed on JPanel depending from record count in *.mdb table - JLabels have its own value selected from Access table.mdb! I need- each time i press some button,say 3rd button i get value showing from 3rd JLabel in some elsewere created textfield, if i have some 60 records and 60 buttons and 60 labels its very annoying to add for each button actionlistener and for each button ask for example jButton[1].addActionListener() ...{ jLabel[1].getText()......} and so on!

  • Get value in Grid with CollapseLevel

    Hi all,
    I have a grid with CollapseLevel=2
    In my datatable, i have 2 lines.
    When i load my grid i have 5 lines (Grid.Rows.Count)
    i want to get the value of the selected lines. How can i do ??
    Example :
    2 lines in datatable
    5 lines in my grid in mode view
    if i select the line 5, pVal.Row has the value 5 but this number of lines does not exists in my datatable.
    Thanks for your response.
    Best regards
    Michael.

    Hi,
    you may check if the row is selected in cycle as
    if oGrid.Rows(x).IsSelected() = true then
    and when is selected, receive the value directly from grid and not from datatable or from datatble as
    oGrid.GetDataTableRowIndex(x) where x is selected row in matrix and result is row in datatable and the value you will receive from datatable.
    hope it helps

  • Using bean.variable for inputText but not getting value

    Hi I am using ADF BC JSF 10.1.3.2.
    I have a search page that has : dropdown1,
    based on dropdown1, I populate the dropdown 2 and with autosubmit and partialtrigger and also set either of the two search layouts true
    LAyout 1 based on dropdown1 value, say x, is rendered and I have 3 inputText , each have value= #{backingbean.variable}.
    Now when i am running this page, I got dropdown2 rendered with correct values and layout 2 rendered as required. Problem starts when I enter a value in the inputText1 and click on search button. In the search method, I try to get value for variable with so many ways : getVariable(), this.getInputText1.getValue()/// All these returned null.
    I tried to initialize the variable. In this case, the inputText1 showed initialised value and when i change value and submit, in the search method I still get the old initialised value.
    The inputText1 somehow never sets the value
    Please help..
    Regards
    Sudha

    Hi,
    I'm not exactly sure about what your functionality is but from what I gather the problem could be that if the bean is request scope then the value of the input text is already lost when you are trying to retrieve it.
    In any case I think that the best thing to do is to use the default view criteria functionality to perform the search if it is done on a view object.
    Gabriel.

  • XmlObject - set value of element with a particular attribute

    Hi,
    In a xmlObject I try to set the value of xml element with a particular attribute but it doesn't work

    var myValue = xmlObject.ELEMENTS.ELEMENT.(@category == "myCategory"))// works fine
    //set value of element with a particular attribute
    var myValue = "foo"

    Hi Dirk,
    For example :

    myValue = xmlObject.elements.element.(@category == "foo1");

  • Creating Variable with Replacement Path to get value from ANOTHER Variable

    Hi all,
        Is anyone has created the Variable with Replacement Path to get the value from another User Entry Variable, PLEASE ?
    First created the User Entry Variable (ZV_X) and it accepts the date range like '01/01/2009 - 01/31/2009'. Next created the Characteristic variable (ZV_Y) of Replacement Path for which source variable will be ZV_X and we should get the 'FROM Date' (01/01/2009) from the selection (ZV_X) into it (ZV_Y).
    While creating the Characteristic variable (ZV_Y) of Replacement Path, I didn't find my newly created ZV_X variable in the list of available variables under 'Variable' header in 'Replacement Path' tab and it is causing the error 'Source to replace variable ZV_Y is not defined'. How could I create the Characteristic variable of Replacement Path for my requirement, PLEASE ?
    The following is from help.sap..com:
    Replace with Characteristic Value
    Text and formula variables with the processing type Replacement Path can be replaced with a corresponding characteristic value. In the variable editor, on the General tab page, you specify under Reference Characteristic the characteristic that is to be referenced by the replacement. On the Replacement Path tab page, you can choose whether the variable is replaced with the From or the To Value and with the Key or the Name of the characteristic value. You can also specify the Offset Start and Offset Length for the output.
    Replace with Variable
    Characteristic value variables, hierarchy variables, text variables, and formula variables with the Replacement Path processing type can take their values from a different variable.
    The following prerequisites need to be fulfilled:
    Variable
    ●      The variable must not be input-ready
    ●      The variable must represent a single value
    Source Variable
    ●      The source variable must not be a hierarchy node variable
    ●      The source variable must be input-ready
    ●      The source variable must be available in the query
    ●      The source variable must represent a single value or an interval
    In the variable editor, on the Replacement Path tab page, you specify the source variable from which the value is to be determined. The value is either determined from the key, the external attribute of the key, the description, or the attribute value. You can specify an Offset Start and an Offset Length for the output here. The variable is replaced on the variable screen upon each data release.
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

    Hi Eve,
    It is possible to connect the 2 queries using a Replacement Path characteristic variable. You would need to create the variable on the char whose values you want to pass from Q1 to Q2. The variable will be of type replacement path and you will need to enter the name of Q1 from which it will get the values. Make sure that you include this char in the query definition of Q1 and Q2. In Q2 you will restrict the characteristic using this variable. DO not use this variable (replacement path) in Q1.
    In your query properties check if you have turned on the checkmark for Release for OLE DB for OLAP (3rd tab). If the check mark is there, then remove it.
    We are using the scenario in a couple of places, and it works very well.
    Hope this helps...

  • Variable used in FOx formula should get value from user

    Hi Gurus,
    In my fox formula I want to multiply a keyfigure (say quantity) with a factor. For example if the factor is 10 then all records should get multiplied by 10.
    But the requirement is user shpuld be able to give the factor that should be multiplied. That is the l_factor used in the fox function should be a variable which gets value from user. I know we can give variables in filter and planning functions in IP. But can we give values in Fox formula.
    I would really appreciate the time and effort.
    Thanking you,
    Jerry Jerome

    Hello,
    May be you can try this solution.
    I think you have create a dummy character info-object(Z_Number) of same data type interget number.Create variable for Z_Number and restrict in filter(ZV_NUM).
    DATA Z_MAT TYPE 0Material.
    DATA Z_NUM TYPE Z_NUMBER.
    DATA Z_NUM_READ TYPE I.(Declate same as data type for Z_Number)
    Z_NUM = VARV(ZV_NUM).
    FORACH Z_MAT.
    Z_NUM_READ = Z_NUM.
    {Z_KF1,Z_MAT} = Z_NUM_READ * {Z_KF1,Z_MAT}.
    ENDFOR.

  • How to get real value from selectOneChoice with javascript?

    Hi,
    How to get real value from selectOneChoice with javascript? The event.getNewValue() only gets me the index of the selected item, not the value/title.
    JSF page:
    <af:resource type="javascript">
    function parseAddress(event)
    alert("new value: " + event.getNewValue());
    </af:resource>
    <af:selectOneChoice label="Location:" value="" id="soc4">
    <af:clientListener type="valueChange" method="parseAddress" />
    <f:selectItems value="#{Person.locations}" id="si7"/>
    </af:selectOneChoice>
    HTML :
    <option title="225 Broadway, New York, NY-10007" selected="" value="0">225 Broadway (Central Office)</option>
    <option title="90 Mark St., New York, NY-10007" value="1">90 Mark St. (Central Office)</option>
    Thanks a lot.

    Something I was missing ,
    You need to add valuePassThru="true" in your <af:selectOneChoice component. I have personally tested it and got the actual value in alert box. I hope this time you got the real solution. You can also test the following code by your end.
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.1"
    xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"

    xmlns:af="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/rich">
    <jsp:directive.page contentType="text/html;charset=UTF-8"/>
    <f:view>
    <af:document id="d1">
    <af:form id="f1">
    <af:panelBox text="PanelBox1" id="pb1">
    <af:selectOneChoice label="Set Log Level" id="soc1"

    valuePassThru="true">
    <af:selectItem label="select one" value="First" id="s6"/>
    <af:selectItem label="select two" value="Second" id="s56"/>

    </af:selectOneChoice>
    <af:resource type="javascript">
    function setLogLevel(evt) {
    var selectOneChoice = evt.getSource();
    var logLevel = selectOneChoice.getSubmittedValue();
    // var logLevelObject = AdfLogger.NONE;
    alert("new value is : " + logLevel);
    //alert(evt.getSelection);
    //alert(logLevelObject);

  • Getting values from a stored procedure with no parameters

    Hi,
    I'm trying to get values out of a stored procedure that I created on SQL server. I'm trying to get XML values out of the database, but I'm not sure how to get any data out of it written to a file if the procedure doesn't have any parameters.
    So I'm just making a call:
    CallableStatement cs = conn.prepareCall("{call myproc}");
    cs.execute();How do I get values back from this stage?
    Thank you very much,
    Lior

    The short form answer, which assumes that the stored procedure is returning the XML as an out parameter would go something like this.
         public void build(String newUserID, String newPassword) throws SQLException {
              String sql = "{ call GET_ITEM_DETAIL(?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?) }" ;
              try{
                   init(newUserID, newPassword) ;
                   setCallableStatement(getConnection().prepareCall(sql)) ;
                   getCallableStatement().setInt(1, getItemNumber()) ;
                   getCallableStatement().registerOutParameter(2, oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleTypes.CURSOR) ;
                   getCallableStatement().registerOutParameter(3, oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleTypes.INTEGER) ;
                   getCallableStatement().registerOutParameter(4, oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleTypes.VARCHAR);
                   getCallableStatement().registerOutParameter(5, oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleTypes.VARCHAR) ;
                   getCallableStatement().registerOutParameter(6, oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleTypes.VARCHAR) ;
                   getCallableStatement().execute() ;
                   setSqlResult(getCallableStatement().getInt(3)) ;
                   setSqlMessage(getCallableStatement().getString(4)) ;
                   if( getSqlResult() != 0 ){
                        throw new SQLException(getSqlMessage(), null, getSqlResult()) ;
                   setResultSet((java.sql.ResultSet) getCallableStatement().getObject(2)) ;
                   if( getResultSet() != null ){
                        while( getResultSet().next() ){
                             setItemType(getResultSet().getString("ITEM_TYPE")) ;
                             setItemValue(getResultSet().getString("ITEM_VAL")) ;
                             setDisplayType(getCallableStatement().getString(5)) ;
                             setDisplaySize(Integer.parseInt(getCallableStatement().getString(6))) ;
              catch(SQLException e){
                   java.util.Date now = new java.util.Date() ;
                   java.text.DateFormat format = java.text.DateFormat.getInstance() ;
                   setSqlMessage( e.getClass().getName() + " : " + format.format(now) + " : " + e.getMessage() + " : IN " + getClass().getName() ) ;
                   System.err.println(getSqlMessage()) ;
                   throw e ;
              finally{
                   closeResources() ;
         }The GET_ITEM_DETAIL stored procedure returns several out parameters of various types. The code registers them as out parameters along with an anticipated type and then calls the getXXX(n) method that corresponds with that data type in the appropriate position.
    As I mentioned in my other post, the onus of returning the XML is on the stored procedure, when you get it into Java it's going to be a java.lang.String that you can then parse by whatever means is appropriate to your situation.

    Hi Hasan,
    Per my understanding you want to add mutilple value parameters to filter the data in the sharpoint list datasource report, right?
    I have a test based on the step by step details information in below link and all works fine which will make the multiple value parameter works fine:
    https://audministrator.wordpress.com/2014/02/17/sharepoint-list-add-distinct-parameter-value/
    Add the custom code from above link
    Parem1 is the parameter which get values from a query and with all the values(duplicate value),please setting as below:
    Param2 is the parameter which will display in the report have done the deduplication, check the "Allow Multiple values" and then Specify the available value and default value using below expression:
    =Split(Code.RemoveDups(JOIN(Parameters!Param1.Value, ",")), ",")
    Add the filter and preview.

  • Pricing: header condition with condition value formula

    Hi,
    can anyone helps us on the following topic:
    - is it possible to enter a conditon value formula for a header condition?
    We have created a formula, but it is only executed when we enter the condition on item level.
    Our condition settings are:
    Cond. class - A
    Calculat. type - G
    Group condition - X
    Header condition - X
    Item Condition - X
    thanks in advance!

    Hello,
    we have a breakpoint at the beginning of the formula.
    If we enter the condition at item level we reach the breakpoint otherwise (when entering on header level) not.
    The question now is, if this is due to configuration settings on condition type or within calculation procedure - or if it is just impossible to have a conditon value formula for a header condition.
    thanks

  • BW 3.5 - Issue with formula variable with replacement path

    Dear experts,
    I'm facing an issue with formula variable with replacement path.
    Just to clarify, I know replacement paths is raising a lot of questions but I've been using this functionnality extensively in the past, both in 7.0 and 3.5, so I'm not looking for basic information about how to use it.
    I'm trying to setup a simple report that would show total values per plant of Purchase Order < 100 €
    To do so I've setup a calculated key figure as follow:
    VAR1 * ("PO value" < 100 ) * "PO value"
    VAR1 is a formula variable with replacement path on 'purchase order' and value attribute 'constant =1'.
    (The report has to show values summarized by plant but should not show the detail PO by PO, so I'm not looking at a solution based on condition)
    The report as characteristic "plant" in rows and my CKF in columns.
    Now let's take an example. I have 3 POs in Plant 1:
    PO1 -> 150€
    PO2 -> 90€
    PO3 -> 80€
    Because of the variable with replacement path, the result in my query should be:
    plant1 = 170 (even though characteristic "purchase order" is not in my rows, system should evaluate PO one by one and return values only for those two that are below 100).
    But the result coming is 320, which is wrong.
    I've done the same report on many other 3.5 systems and it worked perfectly, and I am not able to get proper support from SAP OSS who keep saying that this functionnality is not ready in 3.5 (although I've provided screenshot of this working on another 3.5 system!!! how frustrating...)
    They have also pointed to problems of Before and After aggregation but that has absolutely no impact. Once again, the scenario is working perfectly on other 3.5 systems with the same query design, so i'm sure it has nothing to do with Query Designer options.
    Would anyone have ever come to an equivalenet problem? I'm wondering whether the DB itself could not play a role in the variable with ref  characteristic 'constant =1' ...
    Any though is welcome!
    thanks

    Hi,
    The text variable is replaced when the exact date is clear for this key figure column according to the restriction.
    To achive this, please make sure that either the variable is directly restricted in the key figure selection, or that the date characteristic is in drilldown.

    Patricia

  • How to get a formula from the user from a text box in a webpage

    Hi. I would like to know how to get the formula from the user who enters in a textbox. This formula can have any number of variables starting with a and goes on.
    The complexity of the formula can go upto sin, cos, ln, exp. Also user enters the minimum and maximum values of these variables. Based on a specific algorithm (which I use) I would calculate a *set of values, say 10, for each of these variables, substitute in the formula and based on the result of this formula, I select ONE suitable  value for each of the variables.
    I don't know how to get this formula (which most likely to be different each time) and substitute the values *which I found earlier.
    Kindly help me out in this issue.
    Thanks

    The textbox is the easy part. It's no different than getting a String parameter out of an HTTP request.
    The hard part is parsing the String into a "formula" for evaluation. You'll have to write a parser or find one.
    Google for "Java math expression parser" and see what you get.
    Or write your own with JavaCC.
