GetDesktopURL() problem with multiple DNS domains

Hello,
I use PS6.1 on a server with more domain names. If I login to one domain many portal links are directed to other domain.
I suppose that there is something wrong in function/tag getDesktopURL(). The domains are swaped sometimes after server restart. (I clear all cookies between tests).
For examle:
Page URL:
www.d1.com/portal/dt
In channel JSP:
<dtpc:getDeskpc.geDesktopURL/> -> www.d2.com/portal/dt
pc.getDesktopURL(null) -> www.d2.com/portal/dt
pc.getDesktopURL(request) -> www.d2.com/portal/dt
but:
request.getServerName() -> www.d1.com
request.getHeader("host") -> www.d1.com
Thank you for any hint, M.C.

You should give Apple a call and ask to speak to the iPhone enterprise group. They should be able to help you get your network setup properly.

  • Is an AP got problem with multiple regulatory domain?

    Hello,
    Our customer in China reported that they got poor 2.4GHz wireless quality(i.e.slow response, slow data transfer). But these not happened on 5GHz band. The main WLC installed in Bangkok, Thailand. This controller take controll all their APs over the country and oversea branchs. We checked into the AP configurations and saw this..
    Regulatory Domains: 802.11bg:-E    802.11a:-C
    Country Code: CN (China)
    AP Part:     AIR-CAP2602I-C-K9
    After we checked these tables
    (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps5679/ps5861/product_data_sheet0900aecd80537b6a.html#wp9005671)
    All regulatory domains for this AP should be -C right?
    We followed this page for configuring China country code.
    (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/controller/7.4/configuration/guides/lwap/config_lwap_chapter_010000.html)
    I got noticed in guidelines and limitations
    Although the controller supports different access points in different regulatory domains (countries), it requires all radios in a single access point to be configured for the same regulatory domain. For example, you should not configure a Cisco 1231 access point’s 802.11b/g radio for the US (-A) regulatory domain and its 802.11a radio for the Great Britain (-E) regulatory domain. Otherwise, the controller allows only one of the access point’s radios to turn on, depending on which regulatory domain you selected for the access point on the controller.
    So, this should be a problem? or I hit a bug?
    WLC information:
    Part:                                       AIR-CT5508-K9
    Version:                                  7.3.112
    Configured Country Code(s):     TH,US,CN
    Regulatory Domain:                 802.11a: -ACE, 802.11bg: -ACE
    Thank you.

    This is not a bug. Refer to Cisco TAC response.
    Its not a bug, from the WLC you can run the command:
    Show country supported tx-power
    (WLC-5508-RAC1) >show country supported tx-power       KEY: ## = Tx Power in dBm.
               ##*= Channel supports radar detection.

    So from that you can confirm that for 802.11bg you can use E and C regulatory domains.

  • LDAP supporting multiple DNS domains

    I have an environment with multiple DNS domains, and am configuring a Directory server (DS 6.3.1) to centralize various OS configuration maps including user authentication. None of the DNS domains have unique data, so I'd like to do something like storing all the real data in one suffix, then somehow have all clients look to that primary suffix. I am aware that the Solaris Native LDAP client wants to bind to a nisDomainObject that matches its DNS domain. I'm just having a hard time believing that I really need to manage all those individual suffixes when they don't have unique data requirements.
    Take as an example the following domains to be supported: foo.example.com, bar.example.com, dev.example.com, qa.example.com, prd.example.com (no hosts are actually in "example.com", they are all in subdomains). Again, all share common configuration data, same user IDs, etc - no unique maps are required.
    I created a suffix, "dc=example, dc=com", set it up with idsconfig. All is well there.
    [A] My first thought is to bind all Solaris clients, regardless of their DNS domain, to the baseDN of "dc=example, dc=com" in order to avoid having a separate suffix for each DNS domain. I tried to do this using "-a defaultSearchPath=dc=example,dc=com" with ldapclient init, but it failed with an error indicating it wants to see the nisDomainObject of its real DNS domain.
    The second though I had, which I don't believe is possible, is to find some sort of a LDAP equivalent of a symbolic link so that I could actually have an object for each DNS domain, but it would simply point back to "dc=example,dc=com". I can't find anything in the documentation which suggests this is possible, but I'd love to be wrong!
    [C] Perhaps this could be somehow done with a rats nest of SSDs, but that really seems unwieldy, right? I plan on using a fair amount of the available objects, so it would be many SSDs per suffix. Yuck.
    Can anyone comment on my above thoughts, or provide how they would go about supporting multiple DNS domains that have common configuration data?
    Thank you,
    Chris

    Ok, I answered my own question. Turns out it's pretty easy. Just use the "-a domainName=example.com" option with `ldapclient` then make sure that the FQDN of the LDAP server is available (or use its IP address). My problem was that the ldapclient overwriting nsswotch.conf was clobbering the SSL session because I used the FQDN which couldn't resolve.
    This leaves an interesting condition of having the output of "domainname" not match the DNS domain. I'm testing now to see if this causes any unexpected issues with our environmnet, but I suspect it's not a problem.

  • Multiple DNS Domain support in Single instance of Portal

    Can BEA portal support multiple DNS domains in a single instance of BEA Portal.
    For example can I setup portal to respond as bothe www.xxx.com and www.yyy.com
    and keep those urls as trhough the entire portal?

    Hi,
    thanks for your quick response. You mean we should run only one copy of the package I mentioned and seperate the plants and machines by logic implemented in the package? Well, I think this is critical in case of deploying a new version, since all machines at all sites won't have the system available at the same time. At the moment we do not have things in the system that are needed to go on with production, but we have planned to implement some things that will be indispensable and in this stage we need a clear seperation of the plants to minimize the risk of a simultaneous stand at all plants.
    Thanks for your suggestion and best regards,
    Matthias

  • People Picker search order with multiple forest domains

    I had customer with multiple forest domain environment. Now the problem is that all users from one domain synced to the resource domain(Domain A) where sharepoint is installed.
    The peoplepicker is now finding at first the user in Domain A where sharepoint is installed. My Solution is now to specify the order of searching in People Picker that first all users in Domain B will return and if there is noting will return Domain A.
    All SharePoint Server(s) had Network Access to the other Domains. And there are two-way-trust konfigured.
    Any Solution for that?
    Thanks for your feedback!
    P.

    Regardless of search order, you would get both results returned. Have you tried using the UserAccountDirectoryPath property on the Site Collection to specify DC=domainB,DC=com?

    This post is my own opinion and does not necessarily reflect the opinion or view of Microsoft, its employees, or other MVPs.
    Nice to now that i can set it up per site collection. But it do not work in my case, it indeed returned users from Domain B but Domain A, C, D and F(Examples) are excluded from People Picker.

  • Problem with multiple Toplink/JPA apps in same server

    Anyone have experence of running serveral Toplink/ EJB-3 Web apps in the same server (OC4J, alas)?
    We seem to get a problem with the second app failing to initialise toplink, with an entity not found message. Each app runs OK on it's own.

    Yes, they access the same datasource and most of the tables overlap.
    We're thinking it might help to have common entity classes and put them in a shared library, but I don't know if this is relevant (setting up shared libraries complicates testing and tends to snowball, I reckon we need about 15 jars all told).
    I''ve had some funnies on OC4J before which I think may be to do with it's use of ClassLoaders, for example I initially put persistence.xml in the libary jar with the data model, but for some reason I get the entity not found error that way. It only seems to work if it's in the classes folder.
    For the moment we're getting arround the problem with multiple OC4J instances in the server.

  • Jabber and Multiple DNS Domains

    have a customer that is running into some "minor" issues in getting Jabber to work well on their mobile devices.
    The issues revolves around I think a DNS issue in that their Internet domain is "mycomp.com" while inside they are "corp.mycomp.local"
    Am I correct in that this is easily fixed for the expressway-E and expressway-C is to have the following setup:
    On the External DNS server
    _collab-edge.tls.mycomp.com  =>  expresswaye.mycomp.com
    On the Internal DNS server:
    _cisco-uds._tcp.mycomp.com => cucm1.corp.mycorp.local
    _cisco-uds._tcp.corp.mycomp.local =>  cucm1.corp.mycomp.local
    If the Expressways are configured correctly, then this should work and the credentials for the users should be the same instde and out, OR am I missing something?
    Thanks

    Hi there,
    I've a problem with oracle.jbo.domain.Date,
    I'm doing this code (this part of code is used in my Session Attribute Listener):

  • Problems with multiple idocs in one file ( Inbound file )

    HI,
    Thanks in Advance for your suggestions.. Highly appreciated.
    We have problems with multiple IDocs in one file.
    We are using XIB ( Amtrix ) as Middleware to receive the files.
    Curretenly When the file contains one IDoc then there is no problem. IDoc is created and everything is ok.
    If file contains two IDocs ( for example two messages ORDERS and DELVERY ) then it is creating two IDocs but both IDocs contains ORDERS plus DELIVERY segements information. That is the problem. Some how SAP unable to differentiate the IDocs in the file.. But it knows that how many idocs are there in the file..because it is creating exact number of idocs.
    We are using TRFC port ... Do I need to change it to File port..
    When we have more than one idoc do we need set any parameter in the file ...

    Thanks for the swift response. Always ideas are useful.
    As of now , Middleware cannot split the file.
    Thing is SAP is creating two Idocs with different message types. Problem is First IDoc contains ORDERS message type but also DELIVERY segments as well. Second IDoc with DELIVERY message tyoe but ORDERS segments as well... This is the problem... I think we are missing some field activation in file for EDIDC record.
    As far as I know file port supports the number of IDocs in one file.. Hope TRFC port also supports that

  • Problem with multiple forms and subview

    I have a problem when using NetBean Web Pack (JDK6, Net Beans 5.5, JSF 1.2).
    1) I created a JSF page (hello.jsp) and a page fragment (header.jspf) inside Web Pack, and let the JSF page (hello.jsp) includes the page fragment.
    2) The include instruction is outside of the "form" element id=main_form() of the first JSF page.
    3) Inside the page fragment (header.jspf), I put a form (id=header_form) with some input fields inside the "subview" element.
    4) When running the web application, the form and its children (id=header_form) inside the subview are not rendered.
    It seems to be a problem with multiple forms on a page and the subview.
    Do I use these JSF components incorrectly? Any advice?
    Thanks

    The forms are not nested.
    hello.jsp
    <webuijsf:body ...>
    <!-- BEGIN: include header -->
    <div style="margin: 0px 0px 10px 0px; left: 0px; top: 0px">
    <jsp:directive.include file="Header.jspf"/>
    </div>
    <!-- END: include header -->
    <webuijsf:form ...>
    From above fragment, you can see the header.jspf is outside of the form element.

  • Problems with multiple Domains open in same web browser?

    Here is the problem.
    I login to one domain and then open a new webpage (same browser) and login
    to a 2nd domain. I can then navigate in both domains in each web page.
    However, when I logout of one, it logs me out of both and which ever one
    that I logged out of is the logout/login page that I see for both web pages.
    The same thing happens if I try to login to 2 different domains at the same
    time. One will override the other and I end up with the same domain open in
    both browsers.
    I am pretty sure that this has to do with the cookie, since it is probably
    using the same one for both and then getting confused. Does anyone know how
    to fix this?

    the portal domain/dns domains and the client ipaddress.
    When a user logs in a random session id is generated, and then once he
    authenticates the session id is made valid and is added into the session hash
    table.
    So to answer your question you can do what your trying to do if you are using
    two browsers but in the current architecture and the way sessions are handled it
    is not possible if your using just one browser ..
    iWS Sp8 is not certified to run with portal and the web server that is shipped
    with should not be updated seperately, in the past doing that has broken portal

    Hi guys,

    And yet I am getting this event:

    What can I do?

    Hello ILikeMyScreenNameNdCoffee,
    I had the same problem with XMLSocket and I used a policy server that runs
    on the remote server on port 843 and from Flex I load file before connecting
    the xmlsocket Security.loadPolicyFile("my server address:843"). If you want
    I can upload a version of my policy server or you can use the server policy

  • Problems with local DNS after 10.6.8

    Have a Snow Leopard server that's been running quite well. After (I think) the 10.6.8 update, I've encountered a really weird error regarding dns - the internal DNS doesn't recognize the top level DNS domain (companyname.net), so internally we can't see the site. Externally though, it's fine. Additionally, after about an hour or so, the local DNS entries seem to just stop working and it *seems* to crash, even though Open Directory still works fine, as do the external mail ips and website.
    My DNS/web aliases have been working great for years now and are set up as the following.
    10.6.8 Server: macpro.companyname.net
    DNS zone: companyname.net
    companyname.net alias to macpro.companyname.net.
    www alias to macpro.companyname.net.
    Web Admin is set up as the following:
    Hostname: companyname.net
    Web server aliases: companyname.net, www.companyname.net
    Everything had been working fine until the 10.6.8 update. The website would redirect both companyname.net and www.companyname.net to companyname.net. Users on the local LAN see the local IP, externally see the external public IP.
    But now, it's as if the DNS record for companyname.net LOCALLY doesn't exist. I can't ping it at all from local machines. I'm not sure what the deal is, and I also can't figure out where the look in the logs for assistance. I see entries that say so there's some sort of rebooting going on, but I'm again, not sure why. Any help would be great appreciated! I've restarted, done tons of cache reloads, deleted and readded entries - but as of now, still nothing.

    Lastly, I've been pinging the heck out of example.net. I've found that the server itself and Snow Leopard clients ping the correct internal address, but Lion clients (and iOS devices, oddly enough) return that it can't find the host.
