Getting 502 errors in isapi_redirect.log (ColdFusion 11)

Hello,
We have browsed many threads on the subject of tuning CF11 (& CF10) IIS connectors (in particular ColdFusion 10 instance/Tomcat dying at predictable intervals (white screen of death) )
and we have applied the suggested changes to tune the connector.
workers.properties:
     worker.cfusion.max_reuse_connections=250
     worker.cfusion.connection_pool_timeout = 60
     worker.cfusion.connection_pool_size=250
server.xml
     <Connector port="8014" protocol="AJP/1.3" redirectPort="8447" tomcatAuthentication="false" maxThreads="250" connectionTimeout="60000" />
The above has fixed the issues/failures we had under load (503 errors, white screens).
But now we are getting 502 errors in the isapi_redirect.log as follows:

These are popping up once every minute or so. But the site is running ok.
The log file is growing (obviously) and I would appreciate help on how to diagnose these errors (and whether these are worrying or not...)

Regarding AJP APR.
If you open CF10 CF11 coldfusion-error.log you will notice something like EG:

The Apache Tomcat Native Library  provides portable API for features not found in contemporary JDK's. It uses Apache Portable Runtime (APR) as operating system abstraction layer and allows optimal performance in production environments.
How to change CF from BIO to APR?
-Download tomcat native http://tomcat.apache.org/download-native.cgi windows binaries
-extract tcnative-1.dll to CF10 CF11 \cfusion\lib
-Note tcnative-1.dll in \bin\x64 for 64bit source versa 32bit
-Restart CF10 CF11 application service
Outcome coldfusion-error.log now says EG:
INFO: Loaded APR based Apache Tomcat Native library 1.1.32.
org.apache.catalina.core.AprLifecycleListener init
etc
org.apache.coyote.AbstractProtocol init
INFO: Initializing ProtocolHandler ["ajp-apr-8012"]
Post again if that helps with the 502 error message or not. Probably will not assist tribule's thread since I have seen same ISAPI log details with APR present.

  • I keep getting an error message when logging onto iCloud. It states that "you cant sign in because of a server error".  But the cloud status is "normal".

    This is happened today after I udpated my iPad to IOS v7 and iTunes to 11.1.0.126  and only for one of my computers.  I keep on getting an error message when trying to log onto iCloud.  The error message is "you cannot sign-in because of a server error" but the iCloud status is "normal" and iCloud is fine on my other computers.

    Next day the problem still continued.  I did restart my computer a couple of times and then "it worked".  Not sure why - if it really was a server problem or something on my side.

  • Apache proxy getting 502 errors talking to portal

    We went live with our SAP project approximately 4 weeks ago.   We use Apache 2.2 as a reverse proxy with mod_balancer splitting traffic between two SAP portal systems at version 7.0 ehp 1 service pack 7.
    In the first 10 days we had two incidents where  communication from the Apache reverse proxy to one SAP portal system was consistently failing with a 502 return code, but communication with the other portal system was fine.  We do not see anything abnormal in the SAP logs.
    The first incident was resolved by restarting just the Apache server while the second required restarting the SAP portal application on the affected system as well.
    We are currently examining some leads found on the SAP forum and support site but are looking for input from others to help guide our investigation.  The SAP Note 929082 describes a sporadic problem similar to ours except that ours was consistently failing for over 30 minutes.

    We have a moderate level of logging turned on in the Apache server, so we can see that connections are being evenly distributed between the two portal nodes.  To clarify the original statement, we consistently get the problem on connections that are using the portal node with which communications have gone bad, while connections to the other node continue to work properly.
    We are reluctant to try the solution suggested in the note, because the KeepAlive value in the Apache proxy relates to communications between the proxy and the client browser, while the communication problem we are having is between the proxy and the portal nodes.
    One option we are looking into involves disabling all connection caching between Apache and SAP by setting the DisableReuse flag.   None of the examples we have seen have involved doing that but most examples appear to be using Apache 1.3 or 2.0 and so probably are not caching connections.  Has anyone needed to do this with their Apache 2.2 reverse proxies?
    The problem occurred again for us last Friday.  We tested by connecting to the portal directly using a browser from the system on which the Apache proxy runs.  Connections to the affected portal node on the SSL port were problematic, while connections to the non-SSL port worked.  The same tests performed from a desktop on the portal's subnet yielded the same results.

  • Keep getting server error when i log into eprint

    when i log into eprint site it keeps giving me a server error message
    it say hit f5 to refresh and if doesnt work email .. who???

    There appears to be some server side issues going on at this point in time as you are not the only one with the problem. I would suggest trying again in a few hours, or tomorrow, and see if they are resolved at that point.

  • I am trying to access a website for my business and keep getting this error message when logging in: (Error code: ssl_error_access_denied_alert). Help!

    How do I fix this error code? Everything that I have searched and tried to do did not help. Tech support is unsure how to handle this error message either for this something they have not really had to deal with. Any insights would be greatly appreciated on how to handle this error code and clear it out. Thank you!

    Did you try to disable TLS by setting both prefs to 0 or only use TLS 1.0 (both prefs 1)

    Was this working before? If yes, what changes have been done recently?
    Please stop Apache, and verify that you have no processes from the OS, start Apache and check then.
    Also, run AutoConfig on the application tier and make sure it runs successfully.
    If the above does not help, I would suggest you enable debug to collect more details about the error.

  • Essbase Errors in the log and applications crashing - 11.1.2.0 and 11.1.2.1

    We recently started installing a new DEV, CERT and Prod environment. We installed 11.1.2.0 in Dev and then 11.1.2.1 in Cert and Prod. In all three environments we are getting error messages in our essbase logs...“Essbase Error 1042017 - Increase the NetRetryCount and/or NetDelay” We have done all the usual changes to the config file by changing the netretrycount and netdelay settings, however the problem still persists. We are only working with developed applications in Dev, and there it causes those applications to stop. In Cert and Prod, only the sample apps are loaded, but again we get these errors in our logs. Since it spans multiple environments it seems that this is some thing with our environment, but not sure what that would be. Any thoughts?

  • Some Clients Not Updating. Reporting "Compliant." hr=8007000E Error in WindowsUpdate.log

    I have a significant number (but not all) of my SCCM 2012 R2 CU3 clients not updating though my SCCM software updates. On these problem clients, I get this error in WindowsUpdate.log:
    "COMAPI WARNING: ISusInternal::GetUpdateMetadata2 failed, hr=8007000E"
    Then these machines report "Compliant" even though they don't install the updates. Almost all of our workstations are Windows 7 SP1 32bit. We are running SCCM 2012 R2 CU3. My site servers are running Windows 2008 R2.
    I don't see much in WUAhandler.log or scanagent.log. These client are however, getting my SCEP definition updates just fine. (I have an ADR for those.) And when you go out to Microsoft for security updates it works. I have tried all of the usual Windows
    Updates repair suggestions (re-register dlls, rename software distribution folder, etc.) And I tried un-installing and re-installing the SCCM client on a problem PC, to no avail. I also tried using a Software Update Group with fewer updates (<100) and targeting
    a problem system with only that SUG, to no avail.
    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    One of the bigger nuissances of this particular bug is that it's hard to identify from a central location that you've fallen victim to it. Without spot-checking client machines you'd be none-the-wiser. This most likely results in a lot of shops out their
    thar are completely unaware they have a security issue with a false sense of "fully patched" security.
    I've create the following guidelines to identify whether you are indeed one of the victims.
    create a script configuration item.
    Select All Windows 7 32 bit as the supported platform
    Use String as the data type
    Choose powershell as your script language of choice
    Paste the following text in the discovery script:select-string-pattern'GetWARNING:
    ISusInternal::GetUpdateMetadata2 failed, hr=8007000E'-path"$env:windir\windowsupdate.log"
    Add the configuration item to a Configuration baseline
    Deploy the configuration baseline to All Windows 7 32bit machines
    The report list of assets by compliance state for a given baseline is a good report to check the results.
    !!!! Any machines reporting compliant to this baseline have a serious issue as they won't install any software updates, yet report compliant on all !!!!
