Getting extracter 'N' in query string from weblogic  server

hai,
I am using weblogic7.0 as app server and mssql2000 as database server.
When writing sql queries i am using prepared statements.
Ex:
PreparedStatement pstmt=con.preparedStatement("select email from temp where tempid=?")
pstmt.setString(1,"0000A");
after executing the above query. If i check the query statement in database profiler
then i am getting the following stament:
select email from temp where tempid=N'0000A';
here i am getting an extra character 'N' in the query string.
Can anybody tell me how can i avoid that.
Thanks in advance

--durgaHi. The driver is putting that there to ensure that if your parameter is a
true-16-bit character that the DBMS doesn't corrupt it.
If your string data are guaranteed to be simple English 7-bit ASCII
characters, there's a driver property you can add to the pool connection
properties that will tell the driver not to put the "N'" prefix. This is
an important performance benefit because the "N'" will stop the DBMS from
using varchar indexes in searches.
If you are using the weblogic mssqlserver driver, add the useVarChars=true
property. If you are using the MS free driver or the DataDirect driver,
add a property sendStringParametersAsUnicode=false.

    I am getting unexpected results, and would just like to SEE what the query string IS.Run your app with diagnostic output turned on. Here's the instructions for that.
    To turn on diagnostic, go to the IDE,
    1. Select the project.
    2. Do right mouse click and select "Project Settings..."
    3. On the Settings dialog, select Configurations/Runner.
    4. In the righthand side pane, you should see a textbox for "Java
    Options". Please add the following JVM switch:
    -Djbo.debugoutput=console
    Then, rerun. The run command should include
    -Djbo.debugoutput=console as in
    "D:\JDev9i\jdk\bin\javaw.exe" -Djbo.debugoutput=console -classpath ...
    You should now see a lot more output on the IDE's message window.
    This should also include the findmode query that gets built after you hit the execute button from a findmode panel.

  • Get concurrent user amount from WebLogic Server 6.1

    Does someone know how to get concurrent user amount from WebLogic Server 6.1
    by writing AP.
    thank for your help!

    If each user in your system corresponds to an active session,
    you can get a count of all the active session MBeans and that
    will be your user count. I have used code like this:
    import javax.management.*;
    import weblogic.management.*;
    import weblogic.management.runtime.*;
    try {
    //-- Get the domain's Admin MBean Home so we can ask it questions
    weblogic.management.MBeanHome mbh =
    weblogic.management.Helper.getAdminMBeanHome("system", "<password>",
    "t3://localhost:7001");
    //-- Get JUST the session runtime mbeans (one per active session)
    Set sessionMBeans = mbh.getMBeansByType( "ServletSessionRuntime" ) ;
    System.out.println( "Number ServletSessionRuntime MBeans: " +
    sessionMBeans.size() );
    } catch( Exception e ) {
    System.out.println( "Exception: " + e);
    e.printStackTrace();
    Hope this helps!

  • GET Method with long query string

    Hi there,
    Not sure if this has already been answered. Sorry if it has!
    I have a Biztalk application which does a pass-through for all http requests. It is using WCF-WebHttp transport type with URL mapping of /*.
    It works fine except for GET method that has query string longer than 256 characters. It chokes with following exception:
    The adapter "WCF-WebHttp" raised an error message. Details "System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: The value of promoted property cannot exceed 256 characters. Property "To" Namespace "http://schemas.microsoft.com/BizTalk/2006/01/Adapters/WCF-properties".
    My question is is there a workaround for this e.g. extend the string length limit?

    Hi Karsten,
    Try giving the one part of URL in address box and other pass the arguments inside HTTP Method and URL Mapping dialog.
    Eg:
    Address (URI) : https://btstecheddemostorage.blob.core.windows.net
    <BtsHttpUrlMapping>
    <Operation Name="ListFiles"
    Method="GET" Url="/{mycontainer}?restype=container&amp;comp=list"
    /> </BtsHttpUrlMapping>
    Thank YOu,

  • How to update Data Services (ALDSP 2.5) from WebLogic Server 9.2 correctly?

    Hi,
    I need to update some physical data service in ALDSP 2.5 on WLS 8.1 SP6 (8.1.6) via Static Mediator API from WebLogic Server 9.2 MP2 (9.2.2) application. I have reviewed the article about interoperability of ALDSP 2.5 and WLS 9 here:
    http://edocs.bea.com/aldsp/docs25/appdev/ejbclt.html#wp1090900
    Firstly, I had a problems with the interconnection between 9.2 client and ALDSP 2.5 due to some missed methods/classes. Finally, I've added the following libs to my WLS 9.2.2 pre-classpath in such an order:
    MyDSPProject-ld-client.jar (built with Ant script using XmlBeans 2.0)
    wlsdo.jar (from ALDSP 2.5)
    xbean.jar
    xqrl.jar
    wlxbean.jar
    ld-client.jar (from ALDSP 2.5)
    I do the update in the way shown in attached java file.
    After submit method call, I've got two copies of a new item added in the DB and also an exception that is shown in attached log-file.
    What is the possible cause of this issue?
    I use MySQL DBMS version 5.0.45.
    I've also tried MS SQL 2005 but it simply had the same results.
    DSP audit log is also attached.
    Thank you in advance!
    Best Regards,
    Vitalii Tiutiunnyk

    The problem is that your client is WLS server, and WLS server has network class loading disable (for security), and the result from the call requires a class that is not on the client. The call succeeds, but the the network class load for the result fails, and the WLS 9.2 framework (incorrectly) retries the call (and you get either a duplicate key exception or a second row inserted). Putting the server jar in the client classpath solves the problem.
    If you wanted more information or help, you can contact BEA Customer Support and tell them it is regarding the CR I mentioned.

  • Need Weblogic.jar from Weblogic server 9.2

    Hi All,
    I need weblogic.jar from Weblogic server 9.2.
    but i dont want to download & install Weblogic Server 9.2.
    Is thereany way i can get only the .jar file?
    Thanks & Regards,
    BOB

    We are having this problem as well. I e-mailed BEA support, but they just said we needed to include the jar in the EAR (this is all supposed to be assembled automatically by the workshop).
    For us the issue seems to be the files not being put into the EAR automatically as they are with other types of projects. If we have to manually copy/jar up our class files then we might as well just use notepad and some batch files and skip BEA altogether.

  • AP gets always a new IP address from DHCP server

    Hello,
    When an access points doesn't find a controller it gets always a new IP address from DHCP server.
    Does anyone know, why?
    thanks

    Hi,
    From what I know this is to do with DHCP option 60 and 43.Normally when APs request for IP address, DHCP Server also returns the management IP Address of WLC if the VCI matches.
    If the VCI sent by the AP does not match with the one configured under DHCP for that particulart AP type, the DHCP will never return the WLC IP and hence AP can not find the controller.And the AP keeps sending DHCP Req and sometimes end up getting two IP addresses!
    So may be you can check VCI on DHCP server for that AP model.
    Let me know.
    Cheers

  • Jsp:forward param not getting included in my query string

    Hi,
    On a particular JSP page, mine.jsp, I am forwarding to a servlet ...
    <jsp:useBean id="HotelResortDBBean" class="com.lvcva.database.HotelResortDBBean" scope="request" />
    <jsp:forward page="/meetings/meeting-venues/results">
         <jsp:param name="sqftRange" value="${empty param.meetingsqft ? -1 : param.meetingsqft}" />
    </jsp:forward>This forwards to a servlet, when I query "request.getQueryString", it comes up null. However, when I enter the URL, "mine.jsp?sqftRange=-1", the query string returns "sqftRange=-1" as expected. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong in the above that is causing the jsp:param to not be added to the query string?
    - Dave

    a forward does not create a new request, and thus the query string is not altered. If you want the query string to change, use a redirect in stead.
    note: even though the query string does not change, the new parameter IS added to the HttpServletRequest object, so you can still fetch the new parameter from it even with the forward.

  • Apache - CGI script can't read query string from STDIN

    My Perl CGI script begins as follows:
    if ($ENV{'REQUEST_METHOD'} eq "POST") {
    read(STDIN,$in,$ENV{'CONTENT_LENGTH'});
    I dumped all ENV variables at entry, and verified that REQUEST_METHOD = "POST" and CONTENT_LENGTH = 73 (which is correct). QUERY_STRING is null. After the above read statement, $in is still null. Any idea why STDIN is not providing the query string?
    Thanks!

    Hi--
    This isn't really an answer to the question you asked, but is there a reason you aren't using the Perl CGI module? It's installed by default on OS X and makes this kind of stuff much, much easier. Just add a line like this at the top of your script:
    <pre class="command">use CGI qw(:standard);</pre>Then you can get the paramaters for your script like so:
    <pre class="command">my $value = param('paramname');</pre>No muss, no fuss. You can get more information at the CPAN archive page for this module.

    I am using content editor web-part to show GooglePiechart  for workflow status column in a list. When user click on chart, i need to show particular clicked area data in another list web-part. So that, i need to pass the query value from content editor
    web-part to another web-part. How to achieve this scenario?

    Hi Sam,
    What you can do is using SPD create a data view webpart which excepts query string value as filters as shown in the below article

    Then When you click on the pie charts particualr section perform a post back  by appending the required query string paramter to the same page on which your webpart exist

  • Calling WS from WebLogic server 8.1 that is behind a Proxy server

    Hi,
    I have a web application deployed on WebLogic server 8.1 sp1. And my server is
    behind a http proxy server. Now one of the components in the application makes
    a web service call to a service located external to the system, and it always
    throws "java.net.UnknownHostException". I have set the Java system properties
    http.proxyHost = my proxy server, http.proxySet = true and http.proxyPort = 80
    and it still does not help.
    If I try to evaluate the web service component as a stand alone client using WebLogic's
    webserviceclient.jar, everything works fine. I can't figure what I have to do
    to get this component working from within the WebLogic server. Can anybody provide
    me with inputs, comments or suggestions.
    Naveen.

    Found solution. Followed Part 2 of the solution as explained in http://support.bea.com/application?namespace=askbea&origin=ask_bea_answer.jsp&event=link.view_answer_page_solution&answerpage=solution&page=wlw/S-19283.htm
    What surprises me is that this solution to a common problem is hidden and hard
    to find. If I am correct, no part of WLS 8.1 documentation suggests this. Rather
    the doc says, set the system properties for the standard JDK 1.4 network properties
    and it should work fine. If it is actually supposed to work like this, is it a
    bug then?
