Getting increment value in PostgreSQL

This works for MSSQL or MySQL but not PostgreSQL :( I tried - it throws an exception when using
PreparedStatement st = con.prepareStatement(Queries.INSERT_STREET, Statement.RETURN_GENERATED_KEYS);--
Exception in thread "main" org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: This method is not yet implemented.
at org.postgresql.Driver.notImplemented(Driver.java:413)
at org.postgresql.jdbc3.AbstractJdbc3Connection.prepareStatement(AbstractJdbc3Connection.java:283)
Does anyone knows the solution?

That is not applicable -
* much people use db at once
* select max (id) will not be always correct as it is needed to perform inserts like INSERT INTO T1(id, title) VALUES (12, 'some text')
Well, the only solution i see is to get currval('mk.street_street_id_seq') but that seems like a hack :(

From the snapshot attached, i want to increment the value of number indicator only once when its true and should increment the value again when the loop is true..i mean i want to get the number of times the loop is true.
But in this vi i am getting the value incremented many number of times when the loop is true because the while loop is running continuously.

A loop is a structure and not a boolean, so it cannot be false or true and thus I don't understand the question!
Why don't you attach the actual VI instead of a word document? Your code is very difficult to understand because it seems to suffer from severe localitis, and some of the few visible terminals don't show a label. What's in the other cases of the case structures?
Incrementing a value is better done in a shift register or feedback node. What's the purpose of the "absolute value" function. As long as you make sure you don't start with a negative value, it should not be needed. If you are looking for a off-on transition, try "implies" with the current and previous value of the boolean. (For an example, have a look at this post and the quoted example in it.)

How to get auto-increment value after insert on ACCESS db?

When you insert a new record to a table with an auto-incrementing key, how do you find the value for the row you just inserted? This works differently with different databases. I know how it's done on ORACLE and mySql.
How does it work with ACCESS through ODBC? How about MSSQL?

I have discovered there's a LAST aggregate function which when I've tested it gets the just inserted auto-increment, but I'm not sure if it's reliable. You have to do:
SELECT LAST(index-field) FROM table
That ought to be faster than MAX, which I've noticed some people use. Persumable LAST will get the value from the last row in the table's natural order.
In fact an auto-increment field has no business filling in missing slots since the main point is a a foreign key in other tables and a foreign key pointing to a deleted table row ought to be invalidated, not point to some unrelated successor record.
I could use a separate table as a source of counters, of course, though that's one more call. In either case I'm worried about thread safety. In Oracle there are special sequence objects for this purpose which are incremented and read atomically. I'm not sure if the access driver transaction handling works adequately.
Perhaps the safest approach might be to use a separate sequencer table and Java sychronisation to serialise access to each row in the sequencer table (assuming all the access is from the same app).

You can use request.getParameterNames() which will return an enumeration, then you can iterate through the enumeration and use request.getParameterValue(String paramName) method to get the values.

Every webdynpro component has a global controller called the component controller which is visible to all other controllers within the component.So whenever you want to share some data in between 2 different views you can just make it a point to use the component controller's context for the same. For your requirement (within your popups view context) you will have have to copy the component controllers context to your view. You then will have to (programmatically) fill this context with your desired data in this popup view. You can then be able to read this context from whichever view you want. I hope that this would have made it clear for you. Am also giving you an [example|http://****************/Tutorials/WebDynproABAP/Modalbox/page1.htm] which you can go through which would give you a perfect understanding of all this. In this example the user has an input field in the main view. The user enters a customer number & presses on a pushbutton. The corresponding sales orders are then displayed in a popup window for the user. The user can then select any sales order & press on a button in the popup. These values would then get copied to the table in the main view.

Lets say the item that i selected from the list is 'Xplace' and I clicked on the Select District button,
what I got is this error message:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to convert string 'Xplace' to class java.util.Vector for attribute usrTDistrict: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Property Editor not registered with the PropertyEditorManager
So where is going wrong and what the message means?. Any help very much appreciated. Thanks

I presume you used triangle brackets (< >) to avoid having the Jive Forum think it was the "italics" tag?
Are you certain this: dbaseInfo.getcurrentDistrictID(nstate,vselectedDistrict);
expects a Vector as its second parameter? And returns a Vector?
I don't believe you've shown how you use the javabean, or its code? Perhaps it should be rewritten to accept an array of strings instead of a Vector?

Problem getting arraylist values from request

What is ResearchResults?
Is it a request parameter or is it a request attribute?
Parameters and attributes are two different things.
Request parameters: the values submitted from the form. Always String.
Request attributes: objects stored into scope by your code.
They are also accessed slightly differently in EL
java syntax == EL syntax
request.getParameter("myparameter") == ${param.myparameter}
request.getAttribute("myAttribute") == ${requestScope.myAttribute}
You are referencing the attribute in your scriptlet code, but the parameter in your JSTL/EL code.
Which should it be?

Get selected values from Listbox control

I'm still new to SL so please bear with me.
I have a ListBox being bound with some records from a DB. Here's the xaml:

What I need is to get the values of the items that were selected and I can't seem to get it to work. I've tried looping through the SelectedItems but there's no property for value or text. I even tried to cast the item as a ListBoxItem but I
get the following error:
Unable to cast object of type 'UI.Silverlight.TransactionService.DTODropDown' to type 'System.Windows.Controls.ListBoxItem'.
How can I get the values of the items selected?

You're using windows forms style techniques with xaml.
This is a bad idea.
You ought to learn MVVM.
You probably don't think you want to learn it, but trust me on this one.
Learn MVVM as soon as you can.
There's a selecteditems collection.
You have to cast to listboxitem, it has a content property which you cast to whatever you put in there originally.
Here's a snippet.

How can i get all values from jtable with out selecting?

i have one input table and two output tables (name it as output1, output2). Selected rows from input table are displayed in output1 table. The data in output1 table is temporary(means the dat wont store in database just for display purpose).
Actually what i want is how can i get all values from output1 table to output2 table with out selecting the data in output1 table?

I have Page1 and Page2. Page1 has a h:inputText field and a submit button.
On click of the "Submit" button in Page1, I have to pass this text value entered by
the user to Page2. In Page2, I have <h:inputText readonly="true" /> field,
which will display the value that the user entered in Page1. Also, Page2 has a "Submit"
button. On click of Page2.Submit button, the value displayed in the Page2.textfield
is not getting populated to the Page2 bean attribute.

I have a tree with 3 level and it is working fine.. In view mode I need the First child value of the 3rd level with out clicking / Selecting from teh Tree node..
for eg;
A -- ist level
Ap -- 2nd level
Apple -- 3rd level
So What I need is that I should get a message 'Apple' While landing teh Form itself without clicking on teh Tree

To my knowledge it is not possible to get the value of a node which is not selected.
What you have to do is to build up a memory structure similar to your tree, then you can access any node at any time.

When I select a single row, I need to get the value of a particular column.
I created an action on the leadSelect of the table and gave the following code:
