Getting "invalid type: 169" errors when using POF with Push Replication

I'm trying to get Push Replication - latest version - running on Coherence 3.6.1. I can get it working fine if I don't use POF with my objects, but when trying to use POF format for my objects I get this:

It seems to be loading my POF configuration file - which also includes the standard Coherence ones as well as those required for PR - just fine, as you can see at the top of the trace.
Any ideas why POF format for my objects is giving this error (NB. I've tested the POF stuff outside of PR and it all works fine.)
EDIT: I've tried switching the "publisher" to the "file" publisher in PR. And that works fine. I see my POF format cached data extracted and published to the directory I specify. So the "publish" part seems to work when I use a file-publisher.

I don't pass any POF config parameters on the command-line. My POF file is called "pof-config.xml" so seems to be picked up by default. The trace I showed in my post shows the file being picked up.

  • Type conflict error when using TS_EngineGetSeqFile

    I was trying to use function TS_EngineGetSeqFile to load a sequence file build in TestStand 4.0, and I got a OLE error showing me that I have a type conflict with "CommonResults". Does anyone know how to solve this problem??

    The type conflict dialog you are seeing is evidence that the copy of CommonResults (an NI-Installed type) in the sequence file has the same version but different settings than the currently loaded CommonResults type definition. CommonResults
    is stored in almost all of the built in TestStand type palettes which
    automatically get loaded when you open TestStand. Because of this, it
    becomes a part of the global type usage list in the Engine. If you
    didn't make any changes to CommonResults yourself, it is likely you have inherited a type virus from somewhere and I suggest you take measures to correct the problem.
    A
    type virus can spread when you tell TestStand to resolve a type
    conflict by using the version from the file you are currently opening
    (as opposed to the currently loaded type in the global type usage
    list). Once the "new" type is copied over to the type palettes, it will
    then get loaded every time TestStand runs. At this point, if you open
    up more files that use this same type and choose to use the currently
    loaded type when the type conflict dialog shows, TestStand will copy
    the "new" version into the file - thus the spread or viral like
    behavior.
    In order to correct the problem, you can either:
    Manually open each and every infected file and replace the invalid type with the valid type or...
    Use the Type Differ tool that I wrote to inspect each file pair and merge the conflict automatically
    I
    realize that using the Type Differ at this point is still "manual" in
    the sense that you must open each file pair and merge the conflict, but
    hopefully in your case there aren't that many affected files. To that
    end, I am working on a Batch version of the Type Differ that can diff
    and merge entire directory structures automatically. Let me know if you
    are interested in using such a tool and I will post a link when
    development has reached a beta version.

  • Crystal 2011 getting Logon failed IM004 error when using ODBC (RDO)

    I just installed Crystal Reports 2011 on Windows 7 Ultimate SP1.  Sporadically, but way too often (I would estimate about 60% of the time), when I go to set up an ODBC (RDO) connection or refresh an existing report and enter the password, I get the following error:
    Logon failed.
    Details: IM004:[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_Handle_ENV failed
    Other times, it just works, with no changed made.  It seems to work slightly more often when using the SQL Server driver (the one for SQL 2000) as opposed to the SQL Native Client or SQL Server Native Client 10.0 drivers.  But not often enough for that to be the solution.
    I have tested this with a locally installed SQL Server (on the same machine as Crystal Reports) and remote SQL Servers, with SQL 2000, 2005 and 2008.  Same results.
    I have Crystal Reports 2008 installed on the same machine and have not once had this problem.  I have tried using the same ODBC connections I already had from Crystal 2008 with Crystal 2011 and also to create new ones, same results either way.
    Is this a known issue, or is there a switch/setting I need to change to make this work consistently?  I am especially puzzled by the fact that it seems random, I have not been able to find any pattern at all.

    MS SQL Server 2008 has a client install now, the MDAC/WDAC doesn't install it as MS used to do with all of their OS's. CR also had to update the use of SQL Server 2008 to include the SQLNCLI10 client engine.
    I suggest, if you have not already, install the Native 10 client from either the SQL Server CD or you can download the MSI from MS's site and only use the Native 10 driver.
    MS kind of dropped ODBC and moved to OLE DB. The native client actually uses the OLE DB driver so using ODBC just puts another layer on top of OLE DB anyways. It's more convenient to use ODBC for deploying applications but it can affect performance.
    Anyways, as noted, CR 2011 is still in Ramp up mode so this issue may have been tracked. If not though you can purchase a support case, if it's a bug then you'll get a refund, if it's a limitation in MS then no refund.

  • "Invalid type library" error when opening Excel via ActiveX

    Hi,
    I am trying to open Excel via ActiveX (Automation open function), for
    instance by running the
    build in example "Open Excel and make visible". However, on some computers,
    I recieve the error code -2147319784 "Old format or invalid type library".
    The problem seems to be that LabView is unable to recognize the ActiveX
    control, as it does not appear in the list "Select ActiveX Class". It works
    perfecly from Matlab though, so the control seem to be in order. I have also
    tried reinstalling Office.
    On most computers it works perfectly, but three identical Dell P4 900Mhz
    have the same problem.

    This may be happening due to different Excel versions, a vi made to control Excel 97 won't work for Excel 2000 and vice-versa. Be sure you are using the correct activeX calls for each one.

  • Getting XML-32000: (Fatal Error) when using xml.jar of jaxb in jdeveloper 9

    Hi,
    I am trying to use jaxb in jdeveloper 9 to create java objects from an xsd. Any help would be really appreciated.
    I tested the below example with jdeveloper10 and it worked fine as jaxb was introduced in jdeveloper 10 by providing xml.jar.
    I need to use jdeveloper 9 in my project and jdeveloper 9 doesn't have xml.jar. I copied the xml.jar and xmlparserv2.jar from jdeveloper 10 to jdeveloper9. Created a build script to generate the java files for test.xsd.
    The build script works in jdeveloper 10 but gives the following error in jdeveloper 9:

    You can not simply swap arround jar files from jdev 10 to jdev 9. You then are also using an entirly different jdk and there probably are some dependencies on it. Will it work if you try to run ant from outside jdev and using a 1.5 jdk?

  • Why do I get an I/O error when using LabView 5.1.1 ViMove Out 8.vi in A24 memory space after upgrading to NI-VXI 3.2?

    Following an upgrade from NI_VXI 2.2 to 3.2, a VI which contained VISA Move Out 8.vi to load waveform data to a VXI WaveTek 1396 Arbitrary Waveform Generator using A24 memory space. The error coming back is -1073807298   VI_ERROR_IO and I have A24 Memory Space defined in MAX.

    You might try disabling DMA. You can do this either in MAX or programmatically using viSetAttribute to set VI_ATTR_DMA_ALLOW_EN to VI_FALSE.
    We have an idea of what the problem might be (due to the limited number of places this error occurs in the code) but we can't reproduce it internally. What OS and what VXI controller are you using? If disabling DMA doesn't help, you might want to contact NI tech support directly.

    How do I get the photo tray option to come up in iphoto from my mac notebook when I have an HP C6280 all-in-one printer

    I have an HP all-in-one C5140.  When I print from iPhoto the dialog that comes up has a "Presets" drop down at the bottom.  One of the choices is "Print from Photo Tray."  Is that there on yours?  If not make sure you have the latest software from HP.

    I'm trying to script up a basic load test of the SAP Portal using Load Runner HTTP/HTML protocol. I've dome some correlation but I'm finding the web_submit_data functions seem to be passsing garbage for the eventQueue (see below).

  • Invalid File Name Errors when syncing to Ipod

    Ever since an update last fall I have been getting Invalid file name errors when I try to sync my ipod. A window would pop up saying "Windows could not copy 'SONGNAME' to the iPod 'IPODNAME' because an unkown error occurred (-37)." I would press OK and another window would immediately pop up that would say, "Attempting to copy to the disk 'IPODNAME' failed. the file name is invalid or too long."
    The windows would keep popping up countless times until the sync would just seem to time out and stop.
    The problem songs would have no problem playing in iTunes.
    Prior to the update this did not happen. No new songs were added around this time and nothing was changed to my file directory structure. I was too busy to troubleshoot this problem at the time and hoped that another update would fix it. Well, here I am many months and updates later and still no fix. After fiddling with iTunes and resetting my Ipod multiple times (goodbye saved angry bird games)I have found out that:
    1. By writing down the file name when the error windows pop up I can get a partial list of the problem file names. I could not get a complete list of the problem files because the sync would time out before a full list could be compiled (the list appears to be in the hundreds).
    2. If I changed the name of the file by adding OR deleting one character, remapping the song in itunes, the song would then sync properly.
    3. If I changed the name of the file, remapped the location of the file within iTunes, changed the name of the file BACK to the original name that iTunes supposedly had a problem with, and then remapped the location of the song within iTunes, the song would then sync properly
    4. If I moved the song to a different directory without changing the file name, remapped the song within iTunes, the song would sync properly.
    5. If I moved the song to a different directory without changing the file name, remapped the song within iTunes, moved the file BACK to the original directory, remapped the song again, the song would sync properly.
    6. If I renamed the file and then named it back to the original file name WITHOUT remapping the file location in iTunes, the song would still not sync properly
    7. If I moved the file into a different directory and then back again without remapping the file location, the song would still not sync properly.
    8. Changing or deleting the tags has no effect at all.
    9. File name lengths are already under 200 characters and there are no special characters used.
    So, to sum up, I have found out a way to fix the issue. The problem is, that there are hundreds of songs that appear to be affected and renaming or moving every single one individually and then remapping is extremely inefficient and ignores the cause of the problem. I also did not want to delete the itunes library and then add all of the songs back in because I have many custom playlists that I have spent hours creating and I do not want to delete them.
    Is there a better way to fix the problem? Especially if someone knows the root cause?

    I got a procmon log file and examined it. I have the file and I could also provide you with that or screenshots of it.
    There is nothing unusual about it. I can see entires in which CR has successfully opened the report and has cached in a c:\windows\temp.
    However there is one or two non-successful entries that may be related, especially that examining the stack trace brings us to a call to get_ProductLocaleID():
    - A call to read reg entry HKU\S-1-5-20\Software\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Crystal Reports\Locale fails with NAME NOT FOUND.
    - immediately after that and from the same process (w3wp.ex) there is a call to open directory "c:\" which is logged as ACCESS DENIED.
    Any subsequent unsuccessful calls seem to be results of exception handling in the debug code.
    Does this point to any setup issues with CR? We always run the redistributable x86 runtime when installing it.

    I had tried using -Xms / -Xmx options (upto 1 GB).
    The trace of exception gets delayed (from being displayed on the console) as the memory size is increased; but after sometime it starts getting displayed on the console.
    Even though this exception is displayed on the console, the Timer Bean continues to execute upto sometime before it finally crashes!
    If anyone has encountered such problem; would appreciate if you could share the solution.
