Getting IRemoteSession in Custom Tag through PRC

Hi All,
I am working on custom tag and i have to use sssion object that i am getting through GetExplicitloginContext method, but i dont want to use that since it will bind users to provide username and password when ever they will access it.
Anyone who has used PRC in custom tags, please help us.
Is there any way of getting Page Request Object in Custom Tags????
Thanks in advance.......

You can use following code(java) to get request object:
IXPRequest request = this.GetEnvironment().GetCurrentHTTPRequest();Alternatively you can store variable using this code:
this.GetState().SetVariable(s, obj, scope);or
this.GetState().SetSharedVariable(s, obj, scope, flag);More info here:

  • How do you programmatically register custom tags through the adminapi?

    Hello,
    I am not able to find much documentation out on the net on how to write codes to programmatically register custom tags through the adminapi (extensions.cfc). The only examples I have been seeing involve setting up datasources. Any advice you can provide is appreciated. Thanks.
    Best regards,
    C. Lee

    Short answer:
    The problem is that the login method is a bit goofy in that it requires the password first and the username second. Assuming you are using a valid password (and not the string "password" you are showing), reversing them should solve your problem.
    Long answer:
    As background for those interested, in order to call any method in any of the Admin API CFCs, one does have to log in programmatically, providing a valid CF Admin password, or password/username combination if you have enabled multiple user logins for the CF Admin. (Multiple user logins in the Admin is an optional feature since CF 8.)
    If one does not setup multiple user names, then you only need to pass a password to the login method (just as on the login page of the CF Admin). Technically, the default username in that case is "admin", and you can specify it if you want to, but again it has to be password then username, on this login method. (The Admin API was added in CF 7, before the multiple usernames feature was added, so it looks like they just added it as a new argument.)
    You can learn more about multiple user logins in the CF Admin (and an option to change or remove the default "admin" username) an Adobe DevCenter article linked to from http://www.carehart.org/articles/#2009_1.
    Note finally that the username/password field values are case-sensitive, even on Windows, and the default username really is "admin" not "Admin".
    This discussion of needing to login is documented on the page that Adam pointed to (see the "using" and "examples" sections of the page). There's even a comment from someone pointing out the need to put them in password/username order (because it's not mentioned in the docs). I also just added a comment there about the case sensitivity, either of which could bite someone. Let's hope they update the docs in the next release to clarify both these points.

  • Trying to get AuthenticationUser from custom tag

    Hello, I'm trying to access the authentication username from a custom tag. The code we're using is this:
    IPTSession session = (IPTSession)GetEnvironment().GetUserSession();
    String authName = session.GetUser().GetAuthenticationUser();
    But we get an exception:
    com.plumtree.server.marshalers.PTException: -2147024891 - Error in function PTUser.GetAuthenticationUser (): -2147024891 - PLUMTREE authentication in use. AuthUser is user name.

    Are you trying to get login name or definition of the user present in user repository ?
    Check these methods: GetUniqueAuthName() or GetLoginName().

  • Ho wto get a Custom Tag generate other Tags?

    Hi Folks,
    I need your help with this issue. I have a Tag A:X which needs to generate some code containing another tag A:Y. How do I get the container to also evaluate A:Y?
    The long version of the problem. I have a web page that uses the tag A:X which is a custom tag. When executed, this custom tag needs to go through a bunch of other HTML page segments and find the right one, say Page 25. Once it finds this page 25, it has to output the code of page 25 in place of A:X. Yet, Page 25 itself also contains JSP tags. So, somehow, I need to tell the container to reevaluate the code produced by A:X.
    Normally, the handler of tag A:X could behave like the container and invoke A:Y's handler in the following way:
    AYTag tag = new AYTag();
    tag.setPageContext(...);
    tag.setParent(...);
    tag.setAttribute1(value1);
    tag.setAttribute2(value2);
    tag.doStartTag();
    tag.doEndTag();
    tag.release();I, however don't feel like it is a good decision. This is the job of the container and I don't want to have it done in a tag handler. Worst, I might have problem later on, if new pages come (similar to Page 25) that use other tags with different set of attributes.
    Any help is very much welcome.
    Thanks,
    Klaus.

  • How can I use evaluate to get the instance variable in customized tag

    1.
    At first , I create a class called bean,and declared several params in it and do not define any getter function for the param.
    class bean{
    String param = "test";
    SomeClass scObj = new SomeClass();
    2.
    The second ,I use
    request.setAttribute("beanObj",new bean());
    3.
    And then I wanna use the customized tag to show a text box , then initialize it's value.
    <salt:text name="param" value="beanObj.param">
    <salt:text name="obj" value="beanObj.scObj.func()">
    4.
    I tried the evaluator provided by JexlContext ,Struts, JSTL and it seems that if I do not define the getter for the variable ,I can not get the bean's instance variable's value.
    Expression e = ExpressionFactory.createExpression( value );
    JexlContext jc = JexlHelper.createContext();
    jc.getVars().put(strInitBeanName, request.getAttribute("beanObj"));
    Object obj = e.evaluate(jc);
    the result of the obj is null....
    Can anybody recommand some other evaluator can get the value of a instance variable from an object?

    do you have any other suggestion ? Nops, somebody else may have though. AFAIK, all lookups of the type
    beanName.propertyNameuse reflection on the getXXX() methods to access the property.
    Having said that, I guess you could write one though in a custom tag, using the same - reflection (you will ahve to rely on the java.lang.reflect.Field class quite heavily) - but that would be reinventing the wheel for most other functionality that you would have to include (like looking up the bean in scope etc)
    cheers,

  • How to get custom tag output rewritten for netui tags?

    I have a custom tag that outputs <netui:button> elements but these need to be reprocessed
    into valid html prior to display. For example, in the JSP a netui:button becomes:
    <input type="submit" name="portlet_3_3actionOverride:ChangeMonth" value="Current"/>
    but from the taglib it remains the following in the html:
    <netui:button type="submit" value="Current" action="ChangeMonth"/>
    Is there a simple way to get the preprocessor to reevaluate the taglib output?

    No, there's no practical way to do that. For now, you might consider building a
    small ".jspf" (JSP fragment) that gets included at run time, to encapsulate what
    you're trying to do.
    When JSP 2.0 comes along (in the unseeable future, for WLS), you'd probably be
    able to write a "tag file" that encapsulated the logic you're trying to write.

  • Getting the webapp name in Custom tag?

    Hi,
    I have a custom tag that dispalys some search results, and at the bottom of the results is a link to a controller servlet to go ad get more results to display. (Sounds bad I know but the search is very quick).
    I would like this tag to be used in webapps of different names, and so need to know the web app name to build the link.
    I can use pageContext.getRequest().getRealPath(""), and chop the webapp name off the end, but I was hoping for a nicer solution?
    My Tag extends TagSupport.
    Thanks

  • How do I configure portal desktop to use my own custom tag in template?

    I seem to have tried everything. I want to use a custom tag from a jar file on a template JSP. I keep getting error saying tag library not found. I have the tld in the meta-inf of the jar. I tried putting the jar in the desktop classes, the deployed WEB-INF lib directory for portal, in the web-src directory for the portal. I tried configuring the uri in the web.xml for the portal webapp. None of these have worked. Does someone know how to do this? If someone could help out that would be great. I tries the jar from a web application and it worked fine. I just need to get this working with Portal Server.

    Thank you for the reply Alex. We are using the Dynamics AX 2012 R3 ISO for our installation. In the software requirement documentation for Dynamics AX it says that is able to run on Windows Server 2012 R2. I believe the prerequisites for Dynamics AX and
    Dynamics CRM are different. We received a response from another forum that you can change the .NET version that Sharepoint 2010 uses through IIS in the application pool, but even after setting it to .NET v2.0, we still receive the error in the Dynamics log
    that says it is not compatible with .NET v4.0. So I suppose the question is, where does the Dynamics AX 2012 R3 prerequisite checker look to see which version of .NET Sharepoint is using?

  • For your reference: A real life AppleScript script regarding custom tags

    I'm working through a collection of photographs from iPhoto. One problem I have is that I have more than one set of the photographs and trying to eradicate duplicates and identify the true original images is rather difficult.
    One thing that can help is referring to the complete EXIF data from the image file. Unfortunately, Aperture doesn't give us the complete EXIF set, only a subset. In addition, Aperture doesn't allow us to see the File date/time; only the Image date/time.
    So I wrote this script. Before running the script, I batch renamed all of the images in my subject project using '<counter 4>—<Master Name>' to be sure that every image had a unique name. I then exported the masters from the subject project using '<Version Name>', the reason being that Aperture doesn't allow access to the file name via AppleScript. GraphicConverter will read the EXIF data from this exported set and the script will write most of the EXIF data back to the image in Aperture via custom tags.
    One caveat: Aperture is *slow*. It requires almost 4 seconds to write each custom tag. With 6000+ images in my subject project, this script will take a while to complete.
    The script:
    tell application "Aperture"
    activate
    tell project "untitled Project" of folder ""
    -- set theImages to every image version
    -- move through the images one by one, deleting and creating the appropriate
    -- custom tags from exif text obtained from exported versions via GraphicConverter.
    repeat with i from 1 to theImages's length
    tell theImages's item i
    -- tell image version id "++s5iIgRT1uKC8lrxd5bMg" -- test image
    delete (every custom tag whose name begins with "GC–")
    set exifdata to getEXIF(name) of me
    repeat with i from 1 to exifdata's length
    copy ("GC– " & exifdata's item i's first item) to tName
    copy (exifdata's item i's second item) to tValue
    make new custom tag with properties {name:tName, value:tValue}
    end repeat
    end tell
    end repeat
    end tell
    end tell
    return

    set newEXIF to {}
    set fileDate to ""
    set imageDate to ""
    repeat with i from 1 to theEXIF's length
    copy theEXIF's item i's first item to tName
    if tName is not in exifTagsToIgnore and ¬
    tName does not start with "Unknown" then
    set end of newEXIF to theEXIF's item i
    if tName begins with "File date and time" then
    set fileDate to date (theEXIF's item i's second item)
    else if tName begins with "Date and time of original" then
    set imageDate to date (theEXIF's item i's second item)
    end if
    end if
    end repeat
    if fileDate is not "" and imageDate is not "" then
    if fileDate is less than (imageDate + 24 * 60 * 60) then
    set end of newEXIF to {"File & Image Same Date", "True"}
    else
    set end of newEXIF to {"File & Image Same Date", "False"}
    end if
    end if
    return newEXIF
    end getEXIF

    Correction 1:
    please uncomment the line near the top of the script that reads:
    -- set theImages to every image version
    Correction 2:
    writing the custom tags via AppleScript gets faster after Aperture's done it a few times.

  • Custom Tag not evaluating expression in attribute

    I have a custom tag that needs to take dynamic values in the attributes, but I can't seem to get the values "interpreted" correctly. I have the <rtexprvalue> tag set to "true" in my .tld file, which I thought was the only thing that was needed in order to accomplish what I am trying to do. However, that does not seem to be the case.
    I am using WebLogic (8.1.4) and their <netui> tags, along with JSTL tags (1.0).
    An example of what my code looks like is the following:
    <test:myTag id="1" idx="<netui:content value='{container.index}' />">
        <netui:select ... />
    </test:myTag>and
    <c:set var="myIdx" value="<netui:content value='{container.index}' />" />
    <test:myTag id="1" idx="<c:out value='${myIdx}' />">
        <netui:select ... />
    </test:myTag>Neither of the above approaches has worked. In my code for my Tag.java file, I get the literal string values of <netui:content value='{container.index}' /> and <c:out value='${myIdx}' />, respectively, in my idx property.
    Can someone give me any hints as to what I may be doing wrong?
    Thanks.

    Shouldnt that be
    <netui:content value='${container.index}' />Actually, weblogic does not use the '$' prefix before
    their expressions. Fine. Which in turn means weblogic has some custom expression evaluator.
    Note weblogic 8.1
    as a container doesnt implicitly supportexpressions
    and you have to build in that feature into yourtag
    library.Are you referring to the 'isELIgnored' attribute when
    you mentioned the above statement? If not, can you
    explain what you meant by "build that feature into
    your tag library"?
    It's like this - expression language is supported by default in all containers that implement the j2ee 1.4 spec (servlet 2.4/jsp 2.0). Additionally you should also declare your web application to adhere to the 2.4 standards (through the schema definition in web.xml). In applications that refer to the 2.3 dtd but are run on a 2.4 compliant container you can set the 'isELIgnored' attribute to false and use EL. This works because your container anyways supports it.
    If your container doesnt provide support for EL (outside the jstl tags) as is the case with weblogic 8.1, then you can still use expressions by using something like the [url http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/el/]apache common evaluator  package. The difference being that you will have to call the evaluator classes to evaluate the attribute.
    Are there any alternatives that I could use to
    accomplish what I am trying to do?Did the above answer your question?

  • Custom Tag -- Custom Component problems with iframes

    I have a "project" component that originally iterated over a list of models and created/renderered the corresponding (and fairly complex) interactive UI components for those models. On the client-side, the output from these were then organized neatly into "tabs" via CSS ... all on one page. Since these UI Components are so hefty, when any iteraction was done on one of them, the whole page had to re-render and things got just plain slow. To get around this limitation, I decided to have my "project" component no longer create the UI components himself, but instead generate an IFRAME that points to a page that will generate a single component. This way, any iteraction will just cause that single IFRAME to refresh.
    Due to the fact that an IFRAME can only be populated by using the src attribute, I have created a page that contains a JSF View (<faces:view>) and inside is a single custom tag of mine (<mine:displayView>). Let's call this page singleDisplayView.jsf. I create iframes that point to singleDisplayView.jsf with different request params for each (singleDisplayView.jsf?modelName=Foo, singleDisplayView.jsf?modelName=Bar, etc.)
    The displayView tag has one attribute called requestQueryString and I use the tag like so:
    <t:displayView requestQueryString="<%=request.getQueryString()%>" />The displayView tag's class is DisplayViewTag. In DisplayViewTag::setProperties(UIComponent uiComponent) method, I get the model name out of the request map and set this property on the UIComponent.
    The problem is that I'm noticing that as the main page (that contains these frames) loads, setProperties() is only being called twice. After that, the components created by subsequent iframes just seem to be using the modelName from the second frame.
    Is there a syncronization issue I don't understand?
    Any ideas?
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mark

    On a possibly related note, I read this in an article of the JSF application lifecycle:
    In the first phase of the JSF lifecycle -- restore view -- a request comes
    through the FacesServlet controller. The controller examines the request and
    extracts the view ID, which is determined by the name of the JSP page.Could it be that the lifecycle is trying to reuse components from a single view, since all these iframes are pointing to the same page?

  • Custom Tag with boolean Attribute problems

    Hi,
    I've created a simple custom tag that is expecting a boolean attribute called "disabled". In my Tag derived class I've created a setDisabled(boolean b) method and set the following in the tag descriptor:
    <attribute>
         <name>disabled</name>
         <required>false</required>
         <rtexprvalue>true</rtexprvalue>
    </attribute>I'm using a JSTL expression "${someExpression}" which, when I do a c:out on the value, returns true.
    I call the tag like this:
    <mytag disabled="${someExpression}"/>However, in my custom tag class the value is passed as false. I can get true passed in if I hard code it, but that isn't going to work.
    I've tried a number of different combinations and even read through this forum for the last 2 hours and cannot seem to figure it out.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    John

    TLD File, per your previous recommendation:
    <attribute>
         <name>disabled</name>
         <required>false</required>
         <rtexprvalue>true</rtexprvalue>
         <type>boolean</type>
    </attribute>My Tag class (snippet):
    public class ButtonTag extends TagSupport
      private boolean disabled;
      public ButtonTag() {}
      public boolean isDisabled()
         return disabled;
      public void setDisabled(boolean b)
        disabled = b;
    }A sample of the jsp file invoking it:
    <c:set var="result" value="${computedValue}"/>
    <ltm:button disabled="${result}"/>Regardless of the value of result, ("true" or "false") it always passes false to the setDisabled method of the button tag class.

  • Using gateway'd URLs in JSP custom tag attributes

    Hello,
    I am running Plumtree G6 using a gateway prefix to gateway Javascript from a remote server. I have recently discovered, thanks to people's help on the forum here, that in certain cases, you need to wrap a URL in a pt:url tag in order for Plumtree to recognize it as a URL that has to be gateway'd (i.e. a URL inside of a Javascript function).
    However, I have a custom tag that contains a contextPath attribute. This custom tag then includes other XML files that get included in the final page that is displayed. I am passing this value as my contextPath:
    <mytag:body sessionName="mysession" campusName="SampleCampus" contextPath="<pt:url pt:href='http://localhost:7021/application/scripts' xmlns:pt='http://www.plumtree.com/xmlschemas/ptui/'/>"/>
    However, in the resulting content that is created from this custom tag, the contextPath value is still set to <pt:url pt:href=......./>, and not the actual gateway'd URL. I would have thought that Plumtree would have recognized and gateway'd this URL before it got substituted in the custom tag.
    Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get around a problem like this? One thought I had was to get ahold of the gateway URL value and pass that value directly in my contextPath attribute. Is it possible to get that gateway value, or is there a better solution here?
    Thanks again for any help you can provide.
