Getting last x rows written to the DB

Hi all
I have written some data to my table and wanted to know the best way of getting the last x rows written to the table?

/So, if you have some sort of data and a column of datetime type, you can sort the data in descending order by this datetime column and then take the "last" rows, e.g. the rows which value in the datetime column is the oldest one.

I am writing a query, and I need to filter the last 15 rows of from the select query.
For example: Select id, name,join_date from emp order by join_date;
So I need to get the last 15 rows from emp table so that we can who are the last 15 employees joined the organization. I want to show the result in ascending order, otherwise I would have taken first 15 rows with order by clause as descinding order.

How to get the number of rows written to the header of the spool file.

I need to create a header line for the spool file .
the header line should include fixed length values .
The header should include the number of records found in the table with a maximum begin date (begin_date is the column of the table)
To get the header in the spool file , i wrote a select query has :-

I know that a subquery should be written in the from clause to get the number of rows found with a maximum school_begin_date.

To get this done you can do the following.
1. Create the Result Source.
2. Create the display template using the design manager and copy the existing template make the req. changes on the template and publish it to the document library and give the manage property that you req. for this concatenation functionality. Manage Property
like the domain etc.
3. Create search center and add the new page modified the core result web part and give the result source and custom template that created in step 2.
4. Publish the page.
5. Create the Search vertical and give the name and use the same page the created in step3.

I want know what i have to do to import the last row written in a table from a MySQL database.

I total agree that my first suggestion isn't what you want but I wanted to put the idea across that you can retrieve records from table in the order they were written using a simple SQL command.
When dealing with databases I always design my queries using Design View in MS Access. Once you have the query designed you can then convert the query you have just designed in Design View to SQL by changing to SQL View.
So this example SQL statement would return the MAX Timestamp.
SELECT Max(tblTimeStampTest.Timestamp) AS MaxOfTimestamp
FROM tblTimeStampTest;
Say the timestamp was 12/14/2005 8:18:33
SELECT tblTimeStampTest.*
FROM tblTimeStampTest
WHERE (((tblTimeStampTest.Timestamp)=#12/14/2005 8:18:33#));
This will return your last record as long at the timestamps are unique and records are written in timestamp order. You can then use Build Text Express VI or Format into String to build your SQL strings that have variables like the timestamp above.
I have no experience with mySQL but I would assume MS Access could interface to it somehow either through ODBC or MS Access Projects so that can build you SQL commands.

Getting the last inserted row

I want to get the ID for the last inserted row in another view (not the ones I have in my page), to pass it to a web service. How can I get it?
This returns the first ID in the table: ${bindings.myIterator.RequestId}
This one doesn’t work either: ${bindings.myIterator.currentRow.RequestId}
It shows the following exception
1. JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: java.lang.RuntimeException, msg=javax.servlet.jsp.el.ELException: Unable to find a value for "RequestId" in object of class "model.Travel_ViewRowImpl" using operator "."

What does ${bindings.myIterator.currentRow.dataProvider} returns?

while this is close to the correct syntax it is not complete
${bindings.myIterator.currentRow.RequestId}
this would attempt to call set/get RequestId on the Row class, which doesn't have this property. It has a property getAttribute() but this doesn't allow you to pass an argumentbecause of EL limitations.
Work around: Create an attribute binding for the "RequestId" attribute and call it with
#{bindings.RequestId.inputValue}
ADF always ensures that the currentRow's RequestId is the one obtained from the Attribute binding

I am looking to convert it from Report Generation Vi like New Report, Append Table to Report, Dispose Report. The tunneling through all the report generation Vis seems extensive. Code is attached. I used the Excel Forum to get a lot of great ideas. My code is almost working.
There is a 2-D String Array that represents the String data that I am exporting to the Excel File Sheet 1 - 5.
I am attempting to determine the last populated row in sheet 1 then populate the next row of Sheet 1. Since all 5 sheets are populated every time, I should not have to search every sheet for the last row.
I am getting two row populated on sheet 1 with seeming the same data.
I found an AXExcelWrite2D ArrayWorksheet.vi that I thought would work. I think there is a Table determination that is causing me problems. The link is http://lavag.org/topic/13324-labview-and-excel-activex-or-ado/. The Application Invoke Node has a convert formula with "FromReferenceStyle" with R1C1 Attached to it. I am not sure what this function is doing. When I try to bring the function help up, there is a missing file.
I am including both the new active x vi and the report generation vi. Report Generation VI works.
I would appreciate any assistance I can get on this.

You should define your requirements properly for volunteers to help here..
Your data is not good enough to provide you accurate solution. Reason being you dont have a proper column which differentiates between first and last entry.
The solution becomes easy based on your desgin.
I have introduced a grouping column called "id" and a time column called "time_of_insert" (only this way you can confidently say that you can differentiate between first and last (also a fool proof solution) --- you may optionally use sequence(instead of date though if you say you may end up inserting two rows at the same time, then probably sequence would be a better choice to differentiate rather than a timestamp field) etc...)
With your sample data something like this can be done to achieve your desired result.

Please, define what "last" means. Sets are unordered by definition, so if you want to retrieve rows from a table in a specific order you need to specify what that order is - e.g. by maintaining a value in a column (or a combination of columns) that you can use in the ORDER BY clause of the SELECT statement.
If, for instance, you kept the time when the row was inserted in a special column (InsertedTime), you could use this in your query like this:
select top (10)
<column list>
from <table or view>
where <restriction(s)>
order by InsertedTime desc;

Tableview getting refreshed when changing data in the rows

Hi Gurus,
Iu2019m doing a BSP with MVC. The requirement is as below.
In the main page there is a button u2018Create Orderu2019, to create a sales order, once I click this button, another screen (pop up) comes up and within that I have a Tableview display with the below fields with the data of 20 records.
Material no
Quantity
Delivery Date
Here user is allowed to choose the quantity and delivery date by selecting each row.(with MULTISELECT option in BSP)
The issue is after I select first row and change the quantity and date, and if I click on second row, the Tableview gets refreshed to enable the second row to be editable and the changes what I did on the first row are also refreshed.
So i want the Tableview not to be refreshed when selecting the multiple rows. So that I can keep the changes I make to the quantity and date fields Can you please suggest any method.

You need to capture the value entered by user in Quantity and date field and update the internal table with these values for the current selected row.
For ex.
The tableView code is like:

Now the internal table lt_fields contains all the editable cell values , just update the internal table of your tableview with these values.

I have tried reseting to factory settings by removing battery and holding down the power switch for more than 5 sec but this does nothing.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I think with so much unwanted data on the desktop and other places the whole os will crash very soon.

The hard drive may be dying anyway, or the directory damaged because it is so full. You should never let the hard drive get over 85% full.
A -36 error is a read/write error.
All you did with the power is reset the SMC. Does nothing to reset everything to factory settings.
Do you have your original 10.4 installer discs for the MacBook?
Is your data backed up?
