Getting prob while creating view in webdynpro ABAP application

Hi Guys,
I am facing a problem while creating a view for webdynpro ABAP application. It is giving an error as "ICF service "/sap/public/bc/WebDynpro/ViewDesigner" inactive".
can anybody let me know how to solve this problem.

I think check Internet explorer Tools ->Internet Options ->Connections.>Lan Connections> if the proxy or anyting checkbox is clicked coz it doesn't work with Internet on .

if you r importing the bean for second or nth time , delete your previous imports from model in your application and also delete the previous mappings in the component controller and corresponding view controllers and recreate it.(importing the JARs of both EJB and Bean in WD Library and recraete the java build paths,references) .
revert back if issue persists..

Issue on Creating RFx in webdynpro ABAP application - SRM Business Package

Hi
We are in to SRM 7.0 with the same version of Business Package in SAP Portal also.
I am trying to create a RFx from Portal which in turn calls the webdynpro ABAP application (Strategic Purchasing->Strategic Sourcing->Create Documents->RFx)
sap/bc/webdynpro/sapsrm/wda_l_fpm_oif.
This Application has some button called "Tech RFx", "Permissions" etc., When I click on those buttons it throws the error as below :
"There is no iView available for system "SAP_SRM": object "TechResp". For more information, contact your administrator."
Please let me know where we are missing. I have checked all the Portal permissions. Even I can able to access all other iviews except this two buttons.
Any settings or parameters required on webdynpro ABAP side.

this behavior occurs if the IView com.sap.pct.srm.gp.iv_tech_resp
is not assigned to the role which is assigned to the user.
Please assign this IView to the desired user.
Here are the steps to follow in your systems:
STEP 1: Login to the Portal with Content Admin Authorization.
STEP 2: Navigate to Portal Content -> Content Provided by SAP ->
specialist -> SRM7.0 -> Core -> Roles -> Open the desired role and
choose Navigation Folder.
STEP 3: Now navigate to Portal Content -> Content Provided by SAP ->
specialist -> SRM7.0 -> PPS -> iViews -> Tendering -> Select Tech
Responses (Technical name is iView com.sap.pct.srm.gp.iv_tech_resp) and
right click and choose 'Add iView to Role' -> Delta Link and save.
STEP 4: Log off and login with the user and check the issue.

Getting error while creating SPSite object in console application

Hi,
I am getting error "The Web application at
http://myWebApp/sites/siteCol could not be found. Verify that you have typed the URL correctly. If the URL should be serving existing content, the system administrator may need to add a new request URL mapping to the intended application." whenever
I try to execute the below code in my console application.
SPSite oSite = new SPSite("sitecolUrl");
I tried to change the platform target to AnyCpu,
I tried to wrap it with SP.RunWithElevatedPrivileges
but all above didn't solve the error.
Any suggestions?

I was try to create genric extractor where i was getting error
While creating view generic extractor where i am getting error "Entry A V_ZFRT does not exist in DD02L - check your entry".
My requirement is need to create extractor which is getting populated from three modules like SD,MM,FI/CO.From these three module i am using several tables and some of the tables don't have relation between these tables as like foreign key and refrence key.
Which extractor i need to create as given scenario?
Does view will fulfill with my requirement or any other extractor.
Please some one can help me in this scenario.

Hi,
Rather than writing a program write a function module. Create a structure and include all the necessary fields in the structure. Then in the function module write the logic to extract the values for those fields. While creating the datasource specify the function module and structure name.

Apply custom themes to WebDynpro ABAP application in Portal

Hi,
We have just upgraded the E-Recruitment to EHP4. We have two instances of ECC in which one acts as HR instance and the other one for E-Recruitmet. We have created custom themes for portal and need to apply the same for the WebDynpro ABAP applications for E-REcruitment. I have downloaded the theme and from portal and uploaded the same in MIME folder using SE80 transaction. I have also added the parameter sap-cssurl=/sap/public/themes/<my custom theme folder name>.
Also tried giving the url in application parameter as
SAP-EP-THEMEROOT=http://<hostname>/irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.design.portaldesigndata/themes/portal/customer/<custom theme>
Is there any other way to apply themes for WD ABAP applications. I dont want to customize the standard applications and just want to apply the themes.
Any suggession on this is highly appreciated.

to create theme for webdynpro abap application, use Eclipse Plugin. Please remeber to check the version of theme file before using theme.

I am getting ORA-00604 while creating view from the front end. And some time I get Maximum cursor open, It is ok amy be I am opening cursors in while loop. While ORA-00604 is giving lots of truble to me. In help it said to contact Oracle service, I dont know how to do that. Help me.

Please post your view definition including the complete error_message and also the relevant parts of your code with the while loop.

How to create Radiobutton in webdynpro abap

Hi experts,
I am new to webdynpro abap.I have been given 1 scnario in webdynpro abap to develope:the scnario is as follows:
In first screen there are n no of user are present, i hv to select any user using radiobutton then that user will able to write some text or message in second screen or view( i hv to decide where user can write text or message).similarly other user which has been selected by radiobutton will able to write text in screen or view belongs to them respectbly. Then if user click on save or delete button the text should be saved or deleted from ztable.
I think i hv to create TEXTVIEW or TEXTEDIT so that respective user can write text or message in their view or screen. Please suggest me how to prossed.How to create TEXTVIEW & TEXTEDIT & what is its use.
Secondly please give me steps to create Radiobutton in webdynpro abap.

Getting error while creating the variable of Schema Element type

Hi everybody,
For creating a variable of schema element type I am doing the following steps...
Select 'Variables' after right clicking on bpel process. IN this window, go to 'Create VAriable' then select 'Element' type. Now in Type Choose, I expanded the my imported schema files. And selected a element type, then click ok to create this variable... I am getting the message...
IN ORDER TO SAVE IMPORTED WSDL/SCHEMA FILES, YOU MUST HAVE A PARTNER LINK LOCATED UNDER THE CURRENT PROJECT DIRECTORY.
What is mean by that.
I have imported the schema files in project. AFter that I have imported them into the WSDL also. Now why I am getting error while creating the variable. However I can create variable directly in .BPEL file then everything is fine. And it is working also. But what is mean with the above error? Why I am not able to create variable through GUI?

The idea is that the jdeveloper is not very good working with directories with spaces on the directory name. If you move all your work to a directory without spaces, it will work smoothly. At least, it had worked for me.

Try the following in the ERP backend system:
Standard Hierarchy Inconsistencies
Issue: one Cost Center is repeating in more than one node in Cost Center Standard Hierarchy.
Update from SAP Global support, the following was the email received:
in transaction KSH3 please run both the ambiguity and completeness check(Menu -> Extras -> Check and Help functions).
If you think that your standard hierarchy is inconsistent you can check that as following:
Run transaction Extras -> Hierarchy - Master data -> Test. The result shows you if there are in consistencies. If that is the case run also Extras -> Hierarchy - Master data -> Comparison.
Alternatively, you can run the report 'RKCORRH1' (TN SE38).
Run both the Hierarchy->Master data->test and the
Hierarchy->Master data->comparison.
As stated above inconsistency message showed after Test. Run the comparison and you get a similar message.
Once the above two are run, again when you go to test, the inconsistency disappears.

What error you are getting exactly while creating the business action? Did you try to create business action for any other protocol? If not, then please try to create business action for any other protocol and check whether you are getting the same error over there also.

I think you are using the IDES system, Can you check the services in SICF transaction. If the service is not activated you activate it again.
In this path you will find in the below path and try to check/activate the services relevant to the WDA stack.

Getting Pernr for WebDynpro ABAP application

I am building a new WebDynpro ABAP application and I want to be able to get the PERNR for the user logged into the portal and this application.
I have read some information on this forum about getting the URL or application parameters in order to get the userid or similiar parameters and to handle this within the Window in the HANDLEDEFAULT method of a WebDynpro ABAP application.
I have looked into this and I don't think pulling information from the application parameters will work. For example, I checked one of our current services for "Personal Data" and when I go to the portal content administration, application parameters, I don't see any reference to userid..etc. I see Property ID, Property Category, Inheritance, End-User Personalization, and Property Description. In addition, I do not see any information from the URL itself that I could use.
Here is the scenario. The user logs into the portal using the 3 character Network id which in turn, I assume, gets their SAP userid and PERNR in order to retrieve all the HR infotype information for each service. By the way, the service I mentioned above, "Personal Data", is written in JAVA, so I am not able to see how this particular service works or handles getting the userid and PERNR.
Has anyone come across this scenario before and how was it handled in terms of getting the userid and PERNR?

I was thinking that SY-UNAME would be available, but was not sure. For some reason, I was thinking I was going to have to pass something from the applicaton parameters or some other method to my WebDynpro ABAP program..
I am not the portal administrator so I have not yet added my WebDynpro ABAP program to the portal yet. Once, it's added, I will check out the availablility of sy-uname.
