Getting Report File Path location at execution in TestStand 2012 and later

I need to include PNG pictures into my TestStand Report (HTML, XML, ATML).
When report generation was made through plugins (before TestStand 2012), it was easy to get report file location during execution through variable RunState.Root.Locals.ReportFilePath in order to save PNG files near the report file (in same directory).
I didn't find yet an easy an simple way to do the same in TestStand 2012 with Result Processing Plugins.
Any idea ?
Remarks :
Since this functionnality has to be included within MESULOG TS+ last version which is a TestStand Add-on, I cannot modify Report Options, Process Model or include a callback (like GetReportFilePath.
In need ReportFilePath within a Custom Step Type which cannot wait for PostUUT or ReportGeneration to save its PNG files.

RunState.Root.Locals.ModelPluginConfiguration.Plugins[<plugin index>].PluginSpecific.Options.Directory is valid only if
RunState.Root.Locals.ModelPluginConfiguration.Plugins[<plugin index>].PluginSpecific.Options.DirectoryType is set to "SpecificDirectory".
It seems that I cannot get the complete ReportFilePath before "UUT Done" plugin entry which is after MainSequence execution.

Invalid Report File Path (URGENT)

Im using CR which came as a bundle with VS2005. I deployed my ASP.NET project on online server. Sometimes, When users try to load the reports, they got an error says "Invalid Report File Path" appears at the top of the report, and no data shown. If i reset the IIS, it return to work fine again.
Usually i got this error when there is a lot of hits on the server and reports..
Can you plz advice on that???

                   Thanks for responding. I load the report using the Report.Load(Filepath) command. The reports are located on a seperate machine within the network. The error occurs after the form has been loaded, parameters have been determined and margins have been set, but before the report actually gets displayed on the screen.
Here is the last breakpoint I can find before the error occurs.

Everything here runs fine, but if I F11 from the END SUB I get the error and cannot figure out where its going from there or what's throwing the error.

How to get Sequence file path In "SequentialModel.Seq"?

I need to get the sequence file path in "SequentialModel.seq" before the "GetReportoptions" Callback is called.
I found that step "Determine Report File Path" in "Sequenctialmodel.seq" returns the sequence file path but i.e after executing quite a series of steps.
i need to get this sequence file path in the starting of "SequentialModel.seq".

try "RunState.InitialSelection.SelectedFile.Path" or "RunState.ProcessModelClient.Path" at the beginning of SequentialModel.seq please.

SSIS - Change Config File Path LOCATION in SQL Agent Job Step (NOT USING DTEXEC)

I am not new to ssis but am trying to deal with promoting of ssis config files differently for a specific project. We are using SQL 2008 R2.
As a standared pattern used for years, we just use SQL Agent, build a job step for the ssis package, add the ssis package as SQL Integration Services Package type from fileshare (not using Integration Services), and add the necessary production
config files in the configutation tab of the job step. Easy. We do not execute our packages with DTEXEC command line.
A new project has the developers leaving the config files in the package - not removing the config files for deployment. Is there a way to override JUST THE CONFIG FILE PATH LOCATION in the job step for ssis package? Remember, we are NOT using dtexec.
I was told that /SET might do it but I do not see a good example anywhere of hooking this in and how it works for a CONFIG FILE PATH LOCATION - I see variable overrides but not CONFIG FILE PATH LOCATION. The packages were written with Absolute config file
path and not Relative path.
Please understand that my goal is to let them leave the packages as is, we move the config files to the production sever and all we have to do is flip the location of where the config files are sitting for the ssis pacakge to look for them. We would
rather NOT have to use DTEXEC command line with the job step for reasons that I do no need to get into on this forum.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

There is no way to overwrite the XML configurations file just through modifying the SQL Server Agent job steps. The Dtexec utility will apply the default package configurations for the second time after applying the options specified in the command
lines or other package configurations configured in the job step.
If the package is not deployed/installed, the Dtexec utility looks for the XML configurations file according to the file path defined in the Package Configurations Organizer window. In this situation, you need to either disable the package configurations
or modify the XML file path in the BIDS.
If the package is already deployed/installed, you need to modify the package as above or re-specify the install folder for the package configurations file.

How can i get the definitive report file path in teststand V3.0

Hi,
The report file path is generated inside of the process model. If you look at the Test UUTs entry point inside of the SequentialModel.seq, you will see a C/C++ Adapter step called "Determine Report File Path". After this step executes, the variable Locals.ReportFilePath inside of the entry point contains the full path to where the report will be saved. Let me know if this is what you are looking for.

Invalid report file path.

I have a .NET C# Web App with embedded Crystal Reports (version 10.2.3600) running on Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition (Service Pack 2). Every few days the reports generate errors and we have to restart IIS to get them to run again. I cannot figure out what is causing the system to lock up. The error I am getting is 'Invalid report file path.' Do you know what would cause this to happen?

Specify Report File Path by Expression

TS201x Help under "Specifying Report File Paths by Expression" talks about using a number of various macros, but starts the page showing how to also use FileGlobals. When specifying the expression (... >>Specify Report File Path by Expression>>Expression Browser), I'd like to combine macros with FileGlobals, but none of the FileGlobals are listed i.e. available. The expression builder has access to the StationGlobals though, but not to the FileGlobals.
Is there a workaround, or at least an explanation, for this behaviour?

So, I created the expression in the >>Specify Report File Path by Expression>>Expression Browser, using FileGlobals.MyReportName as per your suggestion.
Here, as expected, I got the first two error messages shown in the attached pdf.
I also made sure that my sequence has the FileGlobals.MyReportName defined.
When I run my sequence, I get the third error message shown in the attached pdf. I'd say this error message is also expected, since the non-listed FileGlobal
referred to in my expression created above, never reaches NI_ReportGenerator.seq i.e. modelsupport2.dll. Or perhaps I completely missed a point in your message?
In any case, please reply if you get a chance.

In IE7 (and probably all famous browsers, including old Firefox 2), if we submit a file like 'C:\folder1\folder2\folder3\filename' it works properly and gives the full path to the file and the filename.
In Firefox 3, it returns only 'filename', because of their new 'security feature' to truncate the path, as explained in Firefox bug tracking system (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143220)
I have no clue how to overcome this 'new feature'.
Can anyone help to find a single solution to get the file path both on Firefox 3 and IE7?

As you're posting this in the JSF forum and looking at your [previous topic|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5342365], I assume that you're using Tomahawk's t:inputFileUpload. I mean, i am supposed to give only TEMP as the input for that function module and I need to get the path of that in the system as the output.

How to remove file path location listings from photos and objects in Acrobat Pro 9.0 PDF?

After converting a windows-based Powerpoint 2007 presentation to an Acrobat Pro 9.0 PDF, the file path location of all photos and objects are shown in a dialogue box when the cursor is moved over the image as seen in this screenshot below. How can I stop this from happening and remove this feature on my pdf documents?

I saw that referenced on a forum, but it does not seem to address the issue I am having.
As per Adobe Acrobat X Standard * What’s new, the equivalent to the "Tools > Protection > Remove Hidden Information" utility found in Acrobat X Standard is the same as the "Document > Examine Document" feature in Acrobat Pro 9.0. Those tools seem to cover meta data, book marks, hidden text, and deleted or cropped content, but not the file path listings that appear on images and objects converted from Powerpoint presentations and other MS Office programs.
I have reviewed the settings used while creating a pdf, and have also tried the “Advanced > Preflight tool”, but could not find anything to apply to the issue at hand.
Thus, this issue has not been resolved, but seems like it should be an easy fix that anyone who publishes pdf documents would want to use to publish clean, professional documents without anyone seeing the file path location of every object and image shown in the document on their hard drive.

For java file, you can get complete path by simple method call : getAbsolutePath() on file object.

The formula must always return some value. When a conditional test produces no result and this code is responsible for the RETURN in a formula, the error occurs. Make sure that the condition returns a value in all cases (trap errors).
Example:
Problem code

If deptno is not 10 , this does not return any value .
Correct code
You can write the function as:
