Getting rid of borders on captions above fields

Hi, (über-noob alert)
How do I get rid of the black borders to the left, right and above a field when the caption is above the field?
The borders of the field are set to 'none'. I could have no caption and place the captions as simple text blocks, but seems a needless workaround.

Hi,
a textfield has two border settings.
One for the entire object and one for the text edit UI element you typing in the text.
The objects border is accessible from the Border palette and need to be set to none.
The UI elements border is located under the Object palette in the visibility dialog (select customize...).
Here you also select none for the edges and white for the filling of the text edit UI element.

The field {DevelopmentTracking_SELECT.Concepts} is already an Integer in the database, so it shouldn't have any decimals, for some reason CR add them. It's easy to format a stand alone field, but how to do this in the formula?
I tried the int() function, but it didn't work. The Round(field, 0) function didn't work either - still see the numbers like 12.00 instead of 12.
I would appreciate your help.

I've found the solution, this way it worked:

How to get rid of find on page above keyboard

I can not get rid of find on page bar above the keyboard on my ipad2. I tried closing all apps, shutting down the ipad as suggested in other solutions, but it did not work.

If you are talking about the Find on Page feature in Safari, you can't get rid of that. It is there for a reason, and that is so that you can search for something g on a given web page.

When i publish my flash movie for the web the page still has
a slight border around the left and top sides (even though i have
specified it not to in the publish settings) Any ideas how to get
rid of this and also get the browser window to appear at the movie
size with no scroll bars etc.

Professional 8 - Can't Get Rid of Tab Number In Text Field

Hello,
I hope someone can help me with this issue - when I create a text field on a PDF document and type text in the field, a "1" appears in the upper left hand corner (it's enclosed in a little black bordered box). If it was only in the PDF file itself I could deal with it, but unfortunately it shows when I print the document too. I've got some advice that it's the Tab function in Professional 8, but when I look for a way of turning it off or at least preventing it from showing up in the print, I can't find anything that works. Adobe support has been no help, there still "looking into it". I was hoping that perhaps someone has had a similar situation and could shed some light?.....

I've attached an example of what's happening though I don't know if you'll be able to view the "1" in the upper left hand corner of the Text Field unless you have similar settings in Professional 8 (just a guessbecause Tech Support at Adobe couldn't see it so I sent a screen shot as well), so I've also attached a screen shot of the bottom of the document where the Text Field is showing the "1" in the corner.
Things I've tried from suggestions made:
1) You have a tab order in your form turned ON. This is a standard feature of Adobe Acrobat. This is the only way Acrobat will display little numbers in the left-hand corner of the text field. However, tab order should not be visible during printing or entering data. These numbers are only displayed while editing form fields using "Form > Edit Fields in Acrobat...." - (Which I didn't use to create the Text Field, I used "Tools", "Forms", "Text Field Tool")
2) "Print" dialog. Select "Document" under "Comments and Forms" pull-down menu to avoid printing any markup or comments.
I suspect that tab order might get printed for some reason you select anything else besides "Document". - (I've tried everything is this menu)
3) 1. Open your PDF form.

How to get rid of blank space showing above my pages

I built my site dyingforthetruth.com using Muse (thanks, it's pretty nifty!), following a video tutorial you provided.
I've ended up with a blank space showing above all pages, and much trying with the blue lines and rebuilding my header strip has NOT succeeded in fixing it.
Here's a snapshot of the top left part of the "main" master, showing the blue lines and the space at the top.
You can see what it looks like on the web by going to the site URL (dyingforthetruth.com).
Can you please tell me how to fix this. I find it a bit strange to see all my pages for this site coming up in all 5 browsers I've tried (IE, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari) with a pronounced gap at the top of them all.

Go to Page> Page Properties and on the "Padding" section set "Top" to 0. That should do it.
If you are on a master page make sure that the top blue arrow is at 0. That arrow controls the top of page, and you need to have a padding of 0 for what you want.

How do I get rid of the small area above my text in a text box?

It's likely your First Baseline setting (Object > Text Frame Options > Baseline Options > First Baseline > Offset) is set to Ascent, (the default). To get what you want, set it to Cap Height.
Or, perhaps you've got a Text Inset (same dialog) accidentally set as a default.

Did you zero out the default browser margins and padding in your CSS code?

Getting rid of captions in some themes

How do I get rid of the image captions (file names) in certain themes....There has got to be an easy way!

To the right of the "Theme:" menu is a menu with a little tag on it. Pull it down, and pick "None"... or any of the other choices.
You can do this separately for the thumbnail page and the detail page.
I wish Apple let you choose an arbitrary selection of metadata to display, rather than this canned list. Portfolio has a checkbox interface for displaying metadata that allows you to pick and choose exactly what you want to have displayed with the image.

I got an I phone 5 yesterday and every time I text non-I phone users I have a smiley face at the bottom of each message I send to them. I went through almost everything on the settings nothing is working. How do I get rid of it?

The above solution was for email messages, but I believe you are experiencing this with iMessages.
There is no built-in signature capability for the Messages app, did you download an app to do this?

Can't get rid of white space

Hi, I'm new to dreamweaver, searched around but couldn't find a solution. Here is the site I can't get rid of that white space above the footer. It's a clearfloat I think. I've tried a whole bunch of things, but nothing works, it's not so much that I want to get rid of it, cause as I understand it's usefull, just want the footer and maincontent to line up. Yesterday an extra Google Search Box was placed in the body of one of my home pages. Cannot get rid of it.

I use Firefox as my reading browser and sometime ago stumbled upon a method to make the most visited sites readily available by having photos of their sites as a supplemental home page. Yesterday a large Google Search box was added at the top of that page that I neither want nor need. I search from the address bar. Always have. I've done everything recommended to reset the home page and nothing seems to work. How do I get rid of that space hogging search field (it reduced the size of the 9 site photos that formerly occupied that page;I just click on the page to open a site). I captured a screen shot, but it seems to be awfully large. Can I get rid of it? It just showed up yesterday.

In order to uninstall a possibly unwanted extension, please do the following:
#Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] and choose Add-ons.
#Once the Add-on Manager has opened in a new tab, click the ''Extensions'' button on the left side of the window.
#You should now see a list of your installed extensions on the right side together with buttons on the right side of each extension.
#To remove an extension from Firefox, simply click the Remove button. You should see a message that informs you about the successful removal of the add-on.
#Note that some add-ons require a Firefox restart to be removed completely. To perform a Firefox restart after the add-on removal, click the ''Restart now'' link in the message.

Can't get rid of horizontal lines bordering quicktime

I am putting a movie slideshow over a white background and the las clip is white to give it a "dissappearing" affect. However there are horizontal black lines bordering the player. How do I get rid of? -paul

No, I'm just plugging a HDMI cable into my macbook to see how it looks on a tv screen. I want to put it on youtube and show it at some places later on, if the lines dissappear.
Here are 2 screenshots, where the first one is without 'show both fields' and the second one with 'show both fields'.

If it is the FiOS STB that is generating the captions, they can be controlled by using the * key on the remote, also labeled with "cc" (just above the A key). Pressing that key multiple times will cycle through the various closed Captions options, one of which is "off."
If it is your TV generating the closed captions, you will need to figure out how to turn them on and off, it will depend on your TV.

Is there a way to get rid of the space left when I delete a field?

I have a document that I am editing and I have deleted some fields but that leaves big white spaces in the document. Is there some way that I can get rid of those spaces without having to manually move up all the subsequent fields one by one?

Not really. There are things you can do to make the process easier, but you can't just highlight the white space and hit 'delete' to bump everything up.
You can select all of the items below what you removed on the heirarchy tree (that are on the same page) and move them all up at once.
You could make the document flowed and enclose the whole area in a subform, but that presents its own set of challenges if the fields and such do not already take up entire lines (or close to it). It does make the process easier in the future if you have to add/remove more items again.
