Getting SID with a given service name or host

Hi.
I am curious if there is a way or command line to get SID with a given service name or host. I have a service name, but I don't know how to get SID. I know that I can parse the tnsnames.ora file to get it, but if possible, I want to use the more official and safe way.
I'd appreciated if somebody knows it.

Hi guys,
I am struck with a problem while retrieving the Windows Credentials from WCF service.
1. I have used WSHttpBinding.
2. I have configured the Website and App pool to run under a specific user who is an Administrator for the server.
3. I have created the windows Credential of Generic type using Credential manager with the same user.
4. I configured the Website to allow only Anonymous and Windows Authentication in IIS (IIS Version: 8.5).
5. I tried the same code in the same server by logging into server with same user and debug the service. The service is returning the windows Credential requested.
6. But i am unable to retrieve the Windows Credentials from the same code when published in IIS in the same server.
i configure the Security in Server and client as below:

2.if its in service side, then I suggest you to enable tracing on wcf service for debugging purpose to findout the root cause.

How to get Request Offering from given Service Offering using Service Manager SDK?

Recently, I am working on application where I have to fetch all Request Offering from given Service Offering.
I can retrieve all Request Offering using following method of SM SDK :

But I am unable to get request Offering from given Service Offering as I am new to this platform. I have searched in web but can not find solution to this problem.
It would be great if someone guide for this problem or give me any suggestion related to this problem.

RequestOfferings are handled a little differently in the SDK, but fortunately, they're still backed by standard EnterpriseManagementObjects..it just takes a little work to get them.
There are a few ways you can go about getting a request offering's related service offerings. I'm going to show you the relationship route, but you could also use a type projection to achieve the same goal.
In your original post, you're simply retrieving _all_ request offerings..that's fine. If you wanted to retrieve a single request offering (as I do in my example) you need to find the request offering's identifier. This identifier is a pipe delimited string
of various values. The quickest way to find it, in my opinion, is to query the MT_System$RequestOffering table in the database, but you can also find it by looping through all the RequestOfferings returned by group.Extensions.Retrieve<RequestOffering>();
Anyway, for the following example to work, you only need your request offering's Identifier and your management server name. (Again, you could simply loop through all of your request offerings and retrieve the service offerings for all of them)
The comments inline with this example should guide you through the steps.

How to find all tables that are associated with a given domain name.

I want to find all table, excluding the structures, of a given domain name, say, waers.
Some of the tables are directly contains the domains while others are related with a data element which is connected to that domain.
I want to find tables for all two case -either tables connected directly to the domain or connected via data element- and exclude the structures.

The following thing may help you.
in se11-> search for tables having names like 'DD*'.
From this list of tables you can find the required table to get domain, data element nad table name.
one way of doing it:

Pick a particular file and keep on target side with the same file name

Hi Guys,
I have got couple of files in a folder. I need to pick only two files, I have setup BPM procedure 2 payloads merge. To keep these merged file with the same source filename.
Source side file Directory
abc_12345_20100408101029.xml (abc_seq number_timestamp.xml)
xxx12345.xml
test.xml
abc_12345_20100408101149.xml
Target Side, How do I keep with the same file name?
abc_12345_20100408111239.xml --- same file name with diffrent timestamp.
One more question: How to setup a file adapter to trigger between 2:00am to 5:00 am? in a particular time

For this you can Availability time planning (i.e you can schedule the file adapter to poll for the files with in the time interval i.e 2 -5)...
for generating the file name at target side you need to look for the Dynamic Configuration as you need to change the timestamp for the file..and i am not sure how this works in BPM..
in normal scenarios dynamic configuration will help....

Getting started with a web service client

I am trying to figure out how to create a web service client using NetBeans 6. I started with a class library for testing in Fitnesse. I've been using tutorials and Googling around but now I am stuck. I have added the JAX-RPC library; I am able to add a web service client to the project using the IDE; and I can view all of the objects and methods under "Web Service References" and compile the code; however, at runtime I get the error:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/rpc/Service
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) ... etc.
What am I missing?
P.S., when I try to test any web service in the IDE I get an error like this:

I was able to get the web service client to work in Windows XP by following the same steps I was using in Windows 2003 x64. I did not need to add anything to the Class Path in XP to run the test application and execute a web service method; however, NetBeans would not give me the option to test the web method from the IDE.
I will try re-installing java and netbeans on the 64 bit server and see if that helps.

How to print the spool request with a given file name.

Why does FF 21 not open a site with a given domain name in Amazon-it will open img from that domain and will work if we provide a new domain name to same kit

We host a site on Amazon Ec2.
FIrefox will not load the page - it just times out after loading half the images etc on it
If we take the same site and give it the Machine Name the Amazon server on which the site resides, it will work.
If we give the Amazon server a domain name, it will work.
If we try to load a part of the page, like an image with the original (i.e. not working domain name) it will work.
Any ideas of possible causes?

Congratulations on your new Mac! It sounds like your purchased songs are not playing completely after you downloaded them. I recommend to following steps for an issue like this:
Symptoms
Occasionally, if a song purchased from the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC was not downloaded completely, the song may not play back fully. The song may abruptly stop during playback, and iTunes may start playing the next song in your library or playlist.
Resolution
If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.

Getting host, port from the tnsnames.ora with the service name

I think that I asked a similar question yesterday. I want to ask if there is a way to get host and port from the tnsnames.org with a given service name. Somebody answered it for getting SID in the sqlplus. so I tried it in a similar way, but it didn't work.
I have a service name, but I don't know how to get host and port. I know that I can parse the tnsnames.ora file to get it, but if possible, I want to use the more official and safe way.
I'd appreciated if somebody knows it.

Oracle RDBMS does NOT now or care about content of any tnsnames.ora file.
Realize that each (remote) user can have their own personalized copy of tnsnames.ora
The content of tnsnames not NOT have to reflect any reality.
I could post the content of my tnsnames.ora & it would be useless to everyone reading.

Query to get the service name

I want to append the SERVICE name to my email subject sent using UTL_SMTP. I am running it within PL/SQL so that it can change based on the instance. I can do a V$instance, but that shows the sid and not the service name.

Oracle 9i "TNS:could not resolve service name" on 64-bit OS

I have a 32-bit .NET 3.0 application that can run on 64-bit OS using WOW64. When I connect to the database on 32-bit OS with 9i (9.2.0.1) client, everything works fine. However, if I install the same client on 64-bit OS (assuming that it would run using WOW64) and run the application, I get "TNS:could not resolve service name" error.
To make sure that it's not something with configuration, I've installed both clients in the same directory on 32-bit OS and 64-bit OS, and copied the same tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora files. I can also connect to the database without a problem on 64-bit OS using SQL Plus. The error only occurs when connection is made via the application, which uses .NET oracle client. The only main difference is that on 64-bit OS, 64-bit version of .NET 3.0 is installed.
Does anyone have an idea why I am getting this error?

"instance_name" 이라는 개념이 제공되며 이를 이용해서 데이터베이스로 접속한다.
init.ora 파러미터
init.ora 파러미터인 SERVICE_NAMES 는 데이터베이스 서비스를 지정하기
위해서 사용된다. 이는 디폴트로 DB_NAME.DB_DOMAIN (global db name 으로
이해하면 된다) 값을 가지며 데이터베이스는 하나 이상의 서비스이름을
가질 수 있다.
init.ora 패러미터인 INSTANCE_NAME 는 데이터베이스의 instance 이름을
지정한다. 이는 instance 의 SID 와 같다고 생각하면 된다.
예를들어 OPS (Oracle Parallel Server) 환경에서는 service_names 는
어떤 데이터베이스로 접속할지를 지정하게되며 instance_name 은 그

주어진 SID 의 값들을 셋팅하였으나 오라클 8i 이후에는 PMON 이 동적으로
데이터베이스를 리스너에 등록해 주므로 listener.ora 에 SID_LIST_LISTENER
부분을 지정할 수도 있고 지정하지 않을 수도 있다.
a. listener.ora 에 SID_LIST_LISTENER 가 지정되었을 경우:
i. connect descriptor 에 SID 를 사용하면?
---> 잘 접속된다.
ii. connect descriptor 에 SERVICE_NAME 을 사용하면?
---> 잘 접속된다. 단, 데이터베이스의 service 가 리스너에 등록되었을 경우.

마찮가지로 service 가 리스너에 등록될 때까지 클라이언트는 아래의

I haven't been defining my own services so far. I have just been using the default names.
My understanding from this page

is that if I declare 10 caches with the same service-name and service-type then all 10 are sharing the same pool of resources and can not call each other from EntryProcessors, etc. due to re-entrancy. But if I define 10 different service names then I'm taking up 10x the resources(what resources? threads? memory?) but I can call one cache from another without re-entrancy issues. Is that all correct?
Why do I want to avoid using default service names out of the box? Just because as I said above it locks me into sharing one resource pool for all caches using that service-name?
