Getting the page name

Hi,
I have a JSP, which is redirected to a servlet. I want to know from which page the request to the servlet is coming from, but am not able to figure that out. If you could please guide me for the same.

Hi,
I found the way out.The page name is in the header of the request object. You can get the page name by giving request.getHeader("referer").

You have you execute this query, using both the numbers included in the parameter pageid:

I can't help you with the Javascript option - don't know if this is possible.
A simple PL/SQL item type that demonstrates how to do this:

A custom item type procedure is even simpler - you can pass the page group id and page id directly to the procedure, so you don't need to call WWPRO_API_PARAMETERS.GET_VALUE to pull the pageid off the URL.
There is a very good example of using custom item type procedures in this submission on the Knowledge Exchange. You must register for Portal Developer Services to access the Knowledge Exchange.

How to get the class name of a page in oracle apex

Hi All,
Can anyone please let me know how we can get the class name of a page or region in oracle apex? I would also like to know how we get the DOM object ID for particular item.
I appreciate any help on this.

How to get the function name/ID of the current page

HI,
I searched the forum and google, but it is not clear on how to get the function name of the current page.
I have 4 functions in my self service A ,B,C,D (seeded page links ) they all have to go to a page called hhhPG. Based on which function user is clicks I have to show the data in hhhPG.
so my question is how to get the function name ? I mean I need to know if user click on link A , B, C or D link and came to this page.
I found below in one forum and also there is getfunctionID in pageContext , but I do not know what to pass to getfunctionid("???") to get value.
FunctionSecurity funcSecurity = pageContext.getFunctionSecurity();
Or is there a better way of know where user is coming from ? like geturl....
Please help, I need this ASAP.

Use below to find out how the user came into the page

boolean isFunc2 = funcSecurity.testFunction(funcSecurity.getFunction("YOUR_FUNCTION_SHORT_NAME2"));
boolean isFunc3 = funcSecurity.testFunction(funcSecurity.getFunction("YOUR_FUNCTION_SHORT_NAME3"));
boolean isFunc4 = funcSecurity.testFunction(funcSecurity.getFunction("YOUR_FUNCTION_SHORT_NAME4"));
So one of them will be true based on the function the user came in.
Write your logic based on these flags.

Getting the page of a link

I use applescript to automate indesign.
now I've to do a job, where I make textframes on a new layer, same size and position as image/grafic-objects on other layers.
to do this, I check the links of the document. if there are more than one page, I need the page-number/id to position my textframe.
I've tried a lot of things to find out the page of a link, but nothing is perfect.
does anybody know an absolutly sure way to get the page number of a link - for example the to get the number in the link palette of the application.

P.S. Once you know that the link is on a page, you can easily find the page name (aka page number). Take note that this function works for images nested in groups (no matter how deep).

I have one requirement like to read the selected workset name in portal by the current user.I have read two documents regarding how to retrieve the PCD contents (iViews, Pages, Worksets and Roles) and its properties like Created by, Changed by, Last changed by and others using PCD API.

Hi Expert,
I found that we can use Interface INavigationHelperService to read Portal Role selected by user at runtime from http://scn.sap.com/thread/52194
But this class is available in SAP NetWeaver 7.30 Enterprise Portal .
But in SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Enterprise Portal that interface is not available.
INavigationService is available there.
But didn't get any proper discussion on this interface for the same requirement.

How to get the page number in section break level?

* Create a Field on the margin.
* Set its "Source" to "Page Number"/"Physical Page Number".
* Click "Page Numbering" button.
* In "Reset At" list box, choose the Repeating frame that surrounds your detail group in the layout.
This should cause Reports to increment the page number until the "Company" repeating frame resets.

I am using jcom610-win.exe and weblogic610sp2_win.exe .I need to use the Jcom for getting the user name of the NT Iser Logged in.I have got the process for this on the page at http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs61/jcomreference/Security.html .But this page uses a method isCallerAuthenticated() from a class file called jcom .I looked into the whole bea directory but there was no class like in the server dir.Can you tell where to get this class from.And if this has not been provided into the jar files that come along with the installable then why is it mentioned in the page @ http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs61/jcomreference/Security.html

I am loging in Single Sign On Page. Then it goes to one JSP which lists out some links including InfoView link. While clicking InfoView link, I need to pass user name with the url for authentication. How and where can I get the user name?

Care to be more specific what you mean with single sign-on? There are numerous ways this can be done.
Just how you get the authenticated o/s user from within an Oracle session, depends on just how the actual authentication to Oracle was done in order to create that Oracle session.
E.g. dealing in Oracle with a LDAP server is very different than dealing with a NT Primary/Secondary Domain Controller using o/s authentication, than dealing with a Java-based application server that does it own thing, etc.
