Hi,
I have a tble in my schema. I have to run the process everday and it updates the table and commits the data.
My question is ......can i get the data back which was there before i ran the process....simple way ...can i get the data back after commiting ...????

Creating View based on Current and previous data from same table

I am trying to create a view based on a table called “my_companies”. The table has following columns: “company_id”, “start_date”, “product_type_code”, “partner_id”
The main purpose of this view is to obtain previous company_id’s associated with a particular “partner_id“and “product_type_code”. So basically, I’m looking to create an extra column, say “prev_company_id” in the view along with all the other columns. The “previous” data can be obtained depending on the “start_date”. I’m not able to write a query successfully to do this.

Whenver you have a question, it helps to post:
(1) The version of Oracle (and any other relevant software) you're using
(2) A little sample data (just enough to show what the problem is) from all the relevant tables
(3) The results you want from that data
(4) Your best attempt so far
Executable SQL statements (like "CREATE TABLE AS ..." or "INSERT ..." statements) are best for (2).
Formatted tabular output is okay for (3). Type before and after the tabular text, to preserve spacing. The sample results should include any special cases that you foresee, such as one company having many previous companies, or vice-versa.
It sounds like might need a +self-join+, where you have two copies of the same table, as if the current companies were in one table and the previous companies were in another, even though they are all actually in the same table.

How to get checked rows data from a table?

For displaying a check box in my table in jspx page,I created a transient Attribute , sel and select type as Boolean.Then When i drag and drop the viewObject in to my jspx page.The table cantain id,Name,Designation,Salary,sel
Then i deleted the binding in the sel column,and drop a Select Boolean checkBox in to that column.Then in the property inspector i bind the value as #{row.sel} for checkbox..
In my table suppose there are 5 rows..I checked only 3 of them.When i pressed a button,the corresponding id 's should be fetched from the checked rows in the table and i want to show some more details corresponding to that id 's in to another table in the jspx page.I am using jdev 11

So if I get you correct this time, you do not want to select the rows by clicking on the table row but rather by selecting the checkbox you created. Correct? Sorry, the earlier confusion is due to me "thinking in Trinidad". Anyway, you can then set the table's rowSelection as None, since you won't be selecting the row that way. Try the code below.

Determine previous date from the selection date

Hi Guys,
I need to get a previous date from the selection date mm/dd/yyyy
Eg:
Selection date is 02/28/2008
Sol- -02/27/2008
Selection date - 03/01/2008
Sol- 02/29/2008
Selection date - 04/02/2008
Sol-04/01/2008
If i do ofset -1 in query ....it goes -1 month. In Exit if i do Sys-datnum -1. It works but not in case for Feburary month. Since 2008 year has Feb (29 days) but for 2007 (28 days)

Problem is i have a 0Date restricted to a variable and if i do offset-1 to that variable it goes previous month not the date.
I dont have 0CALDAY in my cube. Can i do in the UserExit.
If i do sy-datum-1. Will it work?

How to get data from COSP table, field HRKFT as the key to data from PM?

Dear ladies and gentlemen!
I need to get data from COSP table, field HRKFT as the key to data from PM tables (AFKO and AUFK).
The problem is that it is a key field to the COSP, and all non-key fields as an alternative to HRKFT are not suitable for this task.
All this is necessary for the extractor, which loads the data from the R \ 3 systems in the BW-system. I need to perform SELECT from a table COSP and maybe also JOIN, most likely between tables COSP and AUFK.
What should I do in this case?

From information on help.sap.com I've made a conclusion that one of possible solutions in theory is to modify standard extractor PM_OM_OPA_1 in order to make HRKFT field available for work, because by default it is hidden by SAP and not available for use as a key field.
Of course, it's not a very good solution, but for now I know no other way to solve this problem.
Maybe someone knows better ways? In this case I will be very grateful for any help!

I have dmp files generated using expdp on oracle 11g..

Can I use a parameter file given below to get the table data in to the sql file or impdp the only option to load the table data in to database.

To explain more about my situation.
Target database has the dump files, where as the source database (cloud) doesn't have access to the target database.
However, I can request the target DB DBA team to run the par files and provide me the output like a SQL file which I can take and run it in my source database.
I got the metadata the same way, but is there any way I could get the data from the dump files on the target DB without actually accessing it? My question might sound weird, but please let me know.

Oracle supports different structures for data and indexes. A table can be a hash table or index organised table. It can have B+tree index. It can have bitmap indexes. It can be partitioned. Etc.
How the table implements its structure is a physical design consideration.
Application code should only deal with the logical data structure. How that data structure is physically implemented has no bearing on application. Does your application need to know what the indexes are and the names of the indexes,in order to use a table? Obviously not. So why then does your application need to know that the table is partitioned?
When your application code starts referring directly to physical partitions, it needs to know HOW the table is partitioned. It needs to know WHAT partitions to use. It needs to know the names of the partitions. Etc.
And why? All this means is increased complexity in application code as this code now needs to know and understand the physical data structure. This app code is now more complex, has more moving parts, will have more bugs, and will be more complex to maintain.
Oracle can take an app SQL and it can determine (based on the predicates of the SQL), which partitions to use and not use for executing that SQL. All done totally transparently. The app does not need to know that the table is even partitioned.
This is a crucial concept to understand and get right.

In PSA table, I found the some cancellation records for that particular records quantity would be negative for the same record value would be positive.
Due to this reason the quantity is updated to target but the values would summarized and got the summarized value of all normal and cancellation .

in deleting the records in PSA table difficult and how many you will the delete.
you can achieve the different ways.
1. creating the DSO maintain the some key fields it will overwrite the based on key fields.
2. you can write the ABAP logic deleting the duplicate records at info package level check with the your ABAPer.
3.you can restrict the cancellation records at query level.
