Glassfish + mysql + jsc2 table problems

I'm trying to deploy my app to a glassfish server and having some problems with tables and rowsets.
Situation:
Everything works fine under the development settings on my winxp machine with mysql and the 5.0 beta jdbc driver.
I managed to get jdk1.5 + glassfish + mysql + 5.0jdbc driver installed on my debian system with 2.6.16 kernel. Non-DB test apps deployed by exporting to a j2ee1.4 war file and then importing through the glassfish admin page work fine. DB apps that I've manually added the db access code to in the prerender() section of the page work fine. I can even get tables to work IF I put the code in the prerender section:
public void prerender() {
        try{
            usersRowSet.setDataSourceName("java:comp/env/jdbc/testcgcbt");
            usersRowSet.setCommand("SELECT * FROM users");
            usersRowSet.setTableName("users");
            usersDataProvider1.setCachedRowSet((javax.sql.rowset.CachedRowSet)getValue("#{Page1.usersRowSet}"));
        }catch(Exception e){
            error("Error "+e.getMessage());
    } But the table displays 'No items found.' with the default db access code in the _init() section:
private void _init() throws Exception {
        usersRowSet.setDataSourceName("java:comp/env/jdbc/testcgcbt");
        usersRowSet.setCommand("SELECT * FROM users");
        usersRowSet.setTableName("users");
        usersDataProvider1.setCachedRowSet((javax.sql.rowset.CachedRowSet)getValue("#{Page1.usersRowSet}"));
    }Has anyone run into this before? I don't know if there are some settings in the .xml files to change to make the exported war work properly. I would love to have my app work without having to cut and paste the code into the prerender() sections, I haven't looked through all my pages and I'm not sure that would work for each one.
Thanks in advance.

Well, it looks like I've found the problem...
The init() section is not being run when the page is loaded. Once I copied the
try{
      _init();
}catch...section into the start of prerender(), everything worked on both the winxp and debian boxes. Put log code at both the beginning and end of the init() method, neither is being run. I am a little concerned as super.init() is not being called, it doesn't seem to affect the test table app I threw together to check this out but I don't know the long-term effects on my main project. Has anyone else had this problem?
I noticed the jsf-impl.jar lib is put into the war archive, jsf-impl.jar also exists in the glassfish lib directory. Unpacking and reading the manifests of both versions reads: spec 1.1 implementation 2.4.1 for the jsc2 version and spec 1.2 implementation 1.2-b19-FCS for the glassfish version. Could this be part of the problem?
This has been tested on glassfish builds milestone 6(b42) and b44 with the same results.

  • SQL Developer 1.5: Mysql unique index problem

    I experienced a problem with SQL Developer 1.5: uniqueness of multiple fields indexes seems to be lost. On single field indexes it works properly.
    As you can see generated code lacks the "UNIQUE" keyword
    MySQL DDL:
    CREATE TABLE `my_table` (
    `aaa` CHAR(20) COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci NOT NULL DEFAULT '%',
    `bbb` CHAR(4) COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci NOT NULL DEFAULT '',
    `ccc` CHAR(4) COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci NOT NULL DEFAULT '%',
    `ddd` CHAR(4) COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci NOT NULL DEFAULT '%',
    `eee` CHAR(4) COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci NOT NULL DEFAULT '%',
    `fff` CHAR(30) COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci NOT NULL DEFAULT '',
    `ggg` CHAR(30) COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci DEFAULT NULL,
    UNIQUE KEY `All` (`aaa`, `bbb`, `ccc`, `ddd`, `eee`, `fff`, `ggg`),
    KEY `key_bbb` (`bbb`),
    KEY `key_ccc` (`ccc`)
    )ENGINE=MyISAM
    ROW_FORMAT=FIXED CHARACTER SET 'latin1' COLLATE 'latin1_swedish_ci';
    Generated code:
    CREATE TABLE my_table \[...\]
    CREATE INDEX All_ ON my_table
    aaa,
    bbb,
    ccc,
    ddd,
    eee,
    fff,
    ggg
    \[...\]

    That looks strange. I created the following three tables in mySQL:
    CREATE TABLE `my_table_a` (
    `aaa` CHAR(20) ,
    `bbb` CHAR(4) ,
    UNIQUE KEY `All` (`aaa`, `bbb`),
    KEY `key_aaa` (`aaa`),
    KEY `key_bbb` (`bbb`)
    CREATE TABLE `my_table_b` (
    `aaa` CHAR(20) ,
    `bbb` CHAR(4) ,
    UNIQUE KEY `All` (`aaa`, `bbb`),
    UNIQUE KEY `key_aaa` (`aaa`),
    KEY `key_bbb` (`bbb`)
    CREATE TABLE `my_table_c` (
    `aaa` CHAR(20) ,
    `bbb` CHAR(4) ,
    UNIQUE KEY `All` (`aaa`, `bbb`),
    KEY `key_aaa` (`aaa`),
    UNIQUE KEY `key_bbb` (`bbb`)
    The wrong result can already be seen in the captured model.
    Result for my_table_a:
    All: NON_UNIQUE
    key_aaa: NON_UNIQUE
    key_bbb: NON_UNIQUE
    Result for my_table_b:
    All: UNIQUE
    key_aaa: UNIQUE
    key_bbb: NON_UNIQUE
    Result for my_table_c:
    All: NON_UNIQUE
    key_aaa: NON_UNIQUE
    key_bbb: UNIQUE
    So there is at least one case where an index with two segments is remaining UNIQUE. But as soon as the index has three segments, the UNIQUE is lost.
    I'll check whether this is a known bug, and if not, I'll create a new bug.

    Wolfgang

  • PHP MySQL data display problem

    I am having trouble getting data to display on my web page.In Dreamweaver CS3, I created a new page.
    Selected PHP as the type.
    Saved it.
    Connected a database and created a recordset (all using Dreamweavers menus. I did not write any code).
    NOTE: The database is on a remote server.
    The TEST button displayed the records from the recordset with no problem.
    On the new page, I then typed some text.
    Then dragged some fields from the Bindings tab to the page.
    I saved it and then went to preview it in my browser.
    The page comes up completely blank. Not even the text shows.
    I then saved the page as an HTML page.
    When I preview this in my browser, the text shows, but the fields and data do not.
    I then tried creating a dynamic table (again, using the Dreamweaver menus.).
    A similar thing happens, ie. If I save it as an HTML, the text shows and the column labels and border shows, but no data.
    Nothing shows if I save it as a PHP file.
    I can view the data online using files created by PHPMagic, so I know the data is there and retrievable.
    It is just in pages created in Dreamweaver that don’t work.
    What am I doing wrong?

    My web server supports PHP. I can disply PHP pages created by other software packages, just not the Dreamweaver ones.

    To view php pages - or pages with PHP code in them - in a browser, the page must be served up by a Web server that supports PHP. You can set up a testing server on your local machine for this purpose. Look for WAMP (Windows), MAMP (Mac), or XXAMP for some easily installed packages.

  • Accessing MySQL InnoDB tables via JDBC using Oracle SQL Developer

    I had posted a problem in the Oracle SQL Developer forum with how that application (v1.1) accesses MySQL InnoDB tables and someone replied that the "[data migration] team created the integration with MySQL", so I am posting here in hopes of learning more about the problem.
    Here's a summary:
    When I use Oracle SQL Developer to query MySQL InnoDB tables, I need to issue a "commit" before I do each query to ensure that I am getting current results. Otherwise, it appears to be using a snapshot as-of the last commit. Is this a problem with SQL Developer, or a JDBC configuration, or MySQL problem even?
    The full details are here:

    I've posted a response to your original thread.

  • Plotting graph in LabVIEW from MySQL data table

    Is there any possibility to plot the data from MySQL data table in LabVIEW graph/chart??
    can somebody help me??
    thanks...

    I am new with LabVIEW and I am also with the same problem.
    No problems to write data into MySQL, but when trying to read data neither "fetch element data" or "get properties" answer !
    It is not possible to get a simple recordcount using the "get properties".  The same script give the right answers with MS Access, only changing the DB reference from "connection string" to a "UDL".  Does somebody can post an example retriving data (that runs ok even with a WHERE clause in the recordset) using MySQL ?
    The connection string I am using is:
    Driver={MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver};Server=127.0.0.1;Database=DBname;User=root;Password=xxx;Option=785;

  • Oracle to MySql character set problem

    Dear Gurus,
    My database is Oracle 11g R2 (11.2.0.1.0) on Sun Solaris 10. To get data from mysql database for reporting purpose, I used DG4ODBC and followed strictly the OMSC note "Detailed Overview of Connecting Oracle to MySQL Using DG4ODBC Database Link [ID 1320645.1]. Here are main configuration steps:
    - Check DG4ODBC 32/64-bit
    - Install and configure ODBC Driver Manager unixodbc-2.2.14
    - Install and configure MyODBC 5.1.8
    - Configure tnsnames.ora and listener.ora
    - Create db links
    Oracle character set is AL32UTF8
    MySQL charactoer set is uft8
    $ODBC_HOME/etc/odbc.ini
    [ODBC Data Sources]
    myodbc5 = MyODBC 5.1 Driver DSN
    [myodbc5]
    Driver = /opt/mysql/myodbc5/lib/libmyodbc5.so
    Description = Connector/ODBC 5.1 Driver DSN

    # ODBC env variables
    set ODBCINI=$ODBC_HOME/etc/odbc.ini
    My issue is I can query data from mysql database tables but the output is incorrect in character type columns (VARCHAR columns). It just shows the first character in such columns. I tried to read through some OMSC notes but none is useful. If you experienced on such issues, please share your idea / help me resolve it.
    Thanks much in advance,

  • Quering MySql DB tables using DB adapter in Oracle SOA

    Hi',
    I am trying to query MySql DB tables using DB adapter in Oracle SOA.
    inside the weblogic server console I have created a data source and test is "success" MySql
    Now inside the deployments > DBAdapter > Configuration > outbound connection pools
    I am new outbound connection, however I only get one option by default "javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory".
    which is default pointing to oracle DB.
    If someone has implemented this earlier or some blog/document demonstrates this please let me know.
    Thanks

    Thanks Naresh,
    actually I tried changing the "platformClassName" to "oracle.toplink.platform.database.MySQL4Platform" in the existing connection factory.
    I am able to update the DBAdapter successfully, however when I try to run the service created in JDEV which uses this MySql DB table it gives me below error.
    I also have another doubt regarding "How can we create a new connection factory in weblogic console?"

    Can you reproduce it using 2 sessions in a native mysql client?No, only Oracle SQL Developer is behaving like this.
    Here are the steps I perform:
    #1.) Launch Mysql client

    Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)
    mysql> create table MySchema.MyTable (col1 int) engine=InnoDB;
    Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.04 sec)
    #2.) Launch Oracle SQL Developer, connect as root to localhost.
    Username: root
    Hostname: localhost
    Enter SQL Statement:
    select count(*) from MySchema.MyTable;
    [F9 to Execute Statement]
    Results:
    0
    #3.) Alt-Tab back the MySQL client:
    mysql> insert into MySchema.MyTable values (1);
    Query OK, 1 row affected (0.01 sec)
    mysql> commit;
    Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec)
    mysql> select count(*) from MySchema.MyTable;
    | count(*) |
    | 1 |
    1 row in set (0.00 sec)
    mysql> exit;
    Bye
    #4.) Alt-Tab back to Oracle SQL Developer
    Enter SQL Statement:
    select count(*) from MySchema.MyTable;
    [F9 to Execute Statement]
    Results:
    0
    Enter SQL Statement:
    commit;
    [F9 to Execute Statement]
    Enter SQL Statement:
    select count(*) from MySchema.MyTable;
    [F9 to Execute Statement]
    Results:

  • Autonomous Trigger / Mutating Table Problem

    We have a specific problem in one of our applications being developed where by the database needs to enforce a specific business requirement.
    We need to use a database trigger to enforce some data integrity which involves more than one table as such cannot use standard constraint. The integrity has to be maintained in the database as the DML statements may be coming from a Java application or PL/SQL code as such we need the logic all in one place.
    The problem being that within the trigger we need to examine the state of the table the trigger is associated with as well as one other table. Obviously using a trigger on a table that is being affected by DML statements causes the dreaded mutating table problem.
    One suggested solution to this was to make the trigger or the code the trigger called autonomous. This allows the trigger to execute by only showing the trigger the original state of the table before any of the DML statements have affected it.
    The problem is this seems to work for single row DML statements but not for multi row DML statements. In multi row the trigger only sees the original state of the table, not the state of the table plus the changes made by any other actions in the same DML statement.
    Below I have shown an example of what I'm seeing.
    I have grossly simplified the example code below to only refer to a single table and use stupidly simple logic
    I do realise i appear to be implementing uniqueness in my own PL/SQL code, this is purely for the example.
    CREATE TABLE mutate_test
    id INTEGER NOT NULL,
    value VARCHAR2(255) NOT NULL
    ALTER TABLE mutate_test ADD CONSTRAINT pk_mutate_test PRIMARY KEY(id);
    ALTER TABLE mutate_test ADD CONSTRAINT ck_mutate_test CHECK (value = UPPER(value));
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION duplicate_found(in_value IN mutate_test.value%TYPE) RETURN BOOLEAN IS
    PRAGMA AUTONOMOUS_TRANSACTION;
    v_value_found INTEGER;
    BEGIN
    SELECT COUNT(*)
    INTO v_value_found
    FROM mutate_test
    WHERE value = in_value;
    IF v_value_found > 0 THEN
    RETURN TRUE;
    ELSE
    RETURN FALSE;
    END IF;
    END;
    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER tr_mutate_test BEFORE INSERT OR UPDATE ON mutate_test
    FOR EACH ROW
    BEGIN
    IF duplicate_found(:new.value) = TRUE THEN
    RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR(-20000,'Duplicate value found');
    END IF;
    END;
    INSERT INTO mutate_test (id,value) VALUES (1,'CLIFF');
    INSERT INTO mutate_test (id,value) VALUES (2,'SULA');
    COMMIT;
    SELECT * FROM mutate_test;
    -- Should fail as row 1 already has a value of CLIFF
    INSERT INTO mutate_test (id,value) VALUES (3,'CLIFF');
    COMMIT;
    SELECT * FROM mutate_test;
    -- Should fail as row 1 is already set to CLIFF
    UPDATE mutate_test SET value = 'CLIFF' WHERE id = 2;
    COMMIT;
    SELECT * FROM mutate_test;
    UPDATE mutate_test SET value = 'CLIFFORD' WHERE id = 1;
    COMMIT;
    SELECT * FROM mutate_test;
    INSERT INTO mutate_test (id,value) VALUES (3,'RONNY');
    INSERT INTO mutate_test (id,value) VALUES (4,'TIM');
    INSERT INTO mutate_test (id,value) VALUES (5,'MONIQUE');
    COMMIT;
    SELECT * FROM mutate_test;
    -- Wanted result would be row 1 would be updated from CLIFFORD to CLIFF
    -- and the others raise errors, or all of them raise errors.
    UPDATE mutate_test SET value = 'CLIFF' WHERE id IN (1,3,4);
    COMMIT;
    SELECT * FROM mutate_test;

    This is all from a University application that deals with eLearning.
    Shell = Mapping from the system to an external eLearning application, ie: unique id of the Blackboard course shell, or WebBoard board.
    Term = Academic term
    Sector = University sector, ie: Higher Education, TAFE, etc..
    Resource = eLearning tool, ie: Blackboard, WebBoard, etc..
    Resource Level = Whether the resource is being offered at a Course or Program level
    Resource Mapping = Association of a resource to shell
    What we are trying to achieve is that shells cannot be used across sector boundaries.
    The real table structure is (grossly simplified again)
    CREATE TABLE sector (sector_pk INTEGER PRIMARY KEY);
    CREATE TABLE sector_pattern (sector_pk INTEGER REFERENCES sector(sector_pk), pattern CHAR(2) NOT NULL UNIQUE CHECK (pattern = UPPER(pattern)));
    CREATE TABLE term (term_pk INTEGER PRIMARY KEY, term CHAR(4) NOT NULL UNIQUE CHECK (term = UPPER(term)));
    CREATE TABLE resource_level (resource_level_pk INTEGER PRIMARY KEY, term_pk INTEGER REFERENCES term(term_pk));
    CREATE TABLE shell_detail (shell_detail_pk INTEGER PRIMARY KEY);
    CREATE TABLE resource_mapping (resource_mapping INTEGER PRIMARY KEY, resource_level_pk INTEGER REFERENCES resource_level(resource_level_pk), shell_detail_pk INTEGER REFERENCES shell_detail(shell_detail_pk));
    Based on the Ask Tom article linked I'd liked to use a MATERIALIZED VIEW on the following query
    SELECT DISTINCT rm.shell_detail_pk,sp.sector_pk
    FROM resource_mapping rm, resource_level rl, term t, sector_pattern sp
    WHERE rm.resource_level_pk = rl.resource_level_pk
    AND rl.term_pk = t.term_pk
    AND SUBSTR(t.term,3,2) = sp.pattern;
    Then apply a UNIQUE constraint on that VIEW.
    But I'm receiving a
    SQL Error: ORA-12054: cannot set the ON COMMIT refresh attribute for the materialized view
    I'm not sure how to create the MATERIALIZED VIEW LOG entries for the above VIEW.
    Any ideas anyone? ;)
    Need to do some more reading and research but as Tom says
    "I'm asking around about the future of "SQL" as far as enhancments go like that
    (will update when I get some feedback), but -- you are not limited to triggers
    (in fact, I would avoid triggers as it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to implement
    cross row/cross object constraints with them!!!! at least correctly)"
    So I think i'll give up on the TRIGGER approach as it doesn't meet our requirements.

  • Custom mySQL  - updating path / problem with pre-installed mySQL

    I've got a custom mySQL installation setup and humming along on a 10.6.4 server. The problem is although I've updated the paths to search on usr/local/mysql/bin, when I try to access by using the shortcut mysql i get this error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/mysql/mysql.sock' . To be clear, mySQL is working fine - it's just the shortcut that's not.
    This makes me think that the shell is looking first at the default [not enabled] apple mysql install. So something in my paths must be wiggy.
    I had this working perfectly on my 10.4 Xserve but the no one, I'm at a loss.
    Has anyone else run into this - any tips? I'm not going to be running the Apple install of mySQL.

    Actually, my problem is not with the socket location but with the data directory location. But I think is caused by the same path problem to data as yours was with socket. I have posted this question to the Mac OS X Technologies > Unix forum. If you could take a look, I would appreciate it.
    Thanks.

  • Mutating table problem help required

    Hi. I am rather hoping someone will be able to help me with this problem.
    I have two tables, sa and mv. Create script below:
    create table mv (
    moduleId Char(2) CONSTRAINT ck_moduleId CHECK(moduleId in ('M1', 'M2', 'M3', 'M4', 'M5', 'M6', 'M7', 'M8')),
    credits Number(2) CONSTRAINT ck_credits CHECK(credits in (10, 20, 40)),
    constraint pk_mv primary key(moduleId)
    create table sa (
    stuId Char(2) CONSTRAINT ck_stuId CHECK(stuId in ('S1', 'S2', 'S3', 'S4', 'S5')),
    moduleId Char(2),
    constraint pk_sa primary key(stuId, moduleId),
    constraint fk_moduleid foreign key(moduleId) references mv(moduleId)
    And the scripts below is to insert data into both:
    insert into mv VALUES('M1', 20)
    insert into mv VALUES('M2', 20)
    insert into mv VALUES('M3', 20)
    insert into mv VALUES('M4', 20)
    insert into mv VALUES('M5', 40)
    insert into mv VALUES('M6', 10)
    insert into mv VALUES('M7', 10)
    insert into mv VALUES('M8', 20)
    insert into sa VALUES('S1', 'M1')
    insert into sa VALUES('S1', 'M2')
    insert into sa VALUES('S1', 'M3')
    insert into sa VALUES('S2', 'M2')
    insert into sa VALUES('S2', 'M4')
    insert into sa VALUES('S2', 'M5')
    insert into sa VALUES('S3', 'M1')
    insert into sa VALUES('S3', 'M6')
    Now for the actual problems.
    Firstly I need to try and overcome the mutating table problem by ensure that stuid = S1 in table sa can not take both moduleId M5 and M6.
    Just one or the other. I have created a single trigger, but if fails because of the mutating table problem.
    The second problem I need to overcome is that none of the stuids can have moduleIds where total credit value of more than 120 credits. Credit value is stored in the mv table.
    Many thanks in advance for any assistance.

    Use a statement level trigger:

  • How to delete the data loaded into MySQL target table using Scripts

    Hi Experts
    I created a Job with a validation transformation. If the Validation was failed the data passed the validation will be loaded into Pass table and the data failed will be loaded into failed table.
    My requirement was if the data was loaded into Failed database table then i have to delete the data loaded into the Passed table using Script.
    But in the script i have written the code as
    sql('database','delete from <tablename>');
    but as it is an SQL Query execution it is rising exception for the query.
    How can i delete the data loaded into MySQL Target table using scripts.
    Please guide me for this error
    Thanks in Advance
    PrasannaKumar

    Hi Dirk Venken
    I got the Solution, the mistake i did was the query is not correct regarding MySQL.
    sql('MySQL', 'truncate world.customer_salesfact_details')
    error query
    sql('MySQL', 'delete table world.customer_salesfact_details')
    Thanks for your concern

  • ADF BC on GlassFish, MySQL: ResultSet.IsClosed()

    So, I've spent couple of hours but still haven't managed to run a simple ADF Essentials application on GlassFish app server with MySQL database.
    I've installed ADF Essentials om GlassFish, added MySQL connector to JDev, established connections between JDev, GlassFish and MySQL, set application platform to GlassFish.
    Currently a no-data simple application works, but when I add a table to the page, everything breakes down.

    Would be grateful for help.
    Thanks.
    JDev 11.1.2.3, GlassFish 3.1.2, MySQL 5.6

    Solved.
    The problem reason was incorrect MySQL connector version.
    Taking connector from MySQL installation folder was the solution.

  • Dg4odbc 11.2 to mysql desc table issue, query return only one record

    <h2>Hi,
    I have the following set up:
    11g R2 RAC oracle database, dg4odbc 11.2, UnixODBC 2.3 driver manager, MySQL ODBC 5.1.7 Driver on 64 bit Suse SLES 11 server.
    Remote database MySQL version 5.0.67 running on 32 bit linux server.
    I am having the following Issues:
    1. When desc table, sometimes only the first field is shown:
    SQL> desc sub_index@mybilltracker;
    Name Null? Type
    subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
    SQL> desc "sub_index"@mybilltracker;
    Name Null? Type
    subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
    Some other times I am able to see the correct table definition:
    SQL> desc "sub_index"@mybilltracker;
    Name Null? Type
    subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
    sess_id NUMBER(10)
    sess_yr NUMBER(10)
    subject_name VARCHAR2(255)
    SQL> desc sub_index@mybilltracker;
    Name Null? Type
    subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
    2. Select count(*) returns the total number of rows correctly. Select * or Select "field name" from table returns only one row:
    SQL> select count(*) from "mbt_user"@mybilltracker;
    COUNT(*)
    2
    SQL> select "user_id", "email" from "mbt_user"@mybilltracker; _(always return only one record!)_
    user_id email
    1 [email protected]
    Has anybody seen this? Can somebody help me pinpoint the problem? Thank you!

  • J2ee tutorial. "ant create-tables" problem

    I am following Java ee 5 tutorial. In one of its sections it asks me to populate the db by following the below instructions:
    1. In a terminal window, go to the books directory or any one of the bookstore1 through
    bookstore6 example directories.
    2. Start the JavaDB database server. For instructions, see ?Starting and Stopping the JavaDB
    Database Server? on page 69. You don?t have to do this if you are usingNetBeans IDE. It
    starts the database server automatically.
    3. Type ant create-tables. This task runs a command to read the file tutorial.sql and
    execute the SQL commands contained in the file.
    4. At the end of the processing, you should see the following output:
    [sql] 181 of 181 SQL statements executed successfully
    when i reach step 3 and type ant create-tables, i get the following error:
    C:\netbeans-javatutorials\JavaEE5Tutorial\J2EEe-tutorial_5\examples\web\books>ant create-tables
    Buildfile:build.xml
    -pre-init:
    check:

Please specify the javaee.server.passwordfile property in 'bp-project/build.properties'. You will also need to ensure that the passwordfile is present and contains AS_ADMIN_PASSWORD.

    I have configure the build.properties file as follows:
    # Set the property javaee.home, using the path to your
    # GlassFish installation.
    # C:/Program Files/glassfish-v3 is the GlassFish v3 default installation
    # path on Windows.
    javaee.home=C:/Sun/AppServer
    # Set the property javaee.tutorial.home to the location where you

    javaee.server.port=8080
    # port number where the Admin Console of GlassFish is available
    javaee.adminserver.port=4848
    # Uncomment the property javaee.server.username,
    # and replace the administrator username of the app-server
    javaee.server.username=admin
    # Uncomment the property javaee.server.passwordfile,
    # and replace the following line to point to a file that
    # contains the admin password for your app-server.
    # The file should contain the password in the following line:
    # AS_ADMIN_PASSWORD=adminadmin
    # Notice that the password is adminadmin since this is
    # the default password used by GlassFish.
    javaee.server.passwordfile=C:/netbeans-javatutorials/JavaEE5Tutorial/J2EEe-tutorial_5/examples/common/admin-password.txt
    appserver.instance=server
    # Uncomment and set this property to the location of the browser you
    # choose to launch when an application is deployed.
    # On Windows and Mac OS X the OS default browser is used.
    #default.browser=/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin
    # Database vendor property for db tasks
    # JavaDB is the default database vendor. See the settings in javadb.properties
    db.vendor=javadb
    # Digital certificate properties for mutual authentication
    keystore=${javaee.tutorial.home}/examples/jaxws/simpleclient-cert/support/client_keystore.jks
    truststore=${javaee.home}/domains/domain1/config/cacerts.jks
    keystore.password=changeit
    truststore.password=changeit
    and the admin-password.txt
    AS_ADMIN_PASSWORD=adminadmin
    Any suggestions.

    I was stuck with the same problem but finally managed to get it to work.
    The only difference being, I did not change the "javaee.server.passwordfile" field. Like someone else said, I just changed the first two fields. The following are the values I set for the GlassFish 3.1 server with NetBeans 6.7.1,
    javaee.home=C:/Sun/AppServer
    javaee.tutorial.home=C:/JavaWork/javaeesuntutorial/javaeetutorial5
    Hope this helps.
