Going to url with jpg and storing that jpg

I am trying to create a thread that will simulate going out to a webpage with a .jpg extension( specifically, http://www.springsgov.com/trafficeng/woodmen.jpg ) and store it in a vector. I'm then going to have a client use RMI to read from that vector and display the .jpg's onto another webpage. However, I am trying to figure out how to store the .jpg and I am have issues on how to do it. I tried to use JEditorPane but when it redisplays it to the screen, it displays it in bytecode and not a picture. I was wondering if someone out there might be able to help me with this...

The problem is not completely clear to me, however you can display jpg files in java by creating instances of java.awt.Image. Once you have your jpg bytes, you should call java.awt.Toolkit.createImage(jpgBytes).
Then you pass the resulting java.awt.Image to the constructor of javax.swing.ImageIcon; then you create a JLabel and pass the ImageIcon to its constructor. Finally you and add the JLabel to your favourite java.awt.Container (such as JPanel or JScrollPane).
Hope this helps,
Lucio.

  • I applied a template to a page with SWFs and now that page does not play the SWFs. Why?

    I applied a template to a page with SWFs and now that page does not play the SWFs (just a blank area where the SWF should be). When I detach the template it will play the flash file. This site will eventually be updated via Adobe Contribute. And I just discovered that when applying a template to a page that uses HTML datasets (Master/Detail),it no longer reads the Master/detail regions and displays a blank. Any thoughts?
    [Moved to Dreamweaver forum by moderator]

    Firstly, you shouldn't really 'apply' a template to a page, you should create a child page by going to FILE>NEW>Page from Template.  Too many things can happen when applying a template the way you are doing it. eg:; editable and non-editable regions not matching up and being asked where to place these regions and in all likelihood, you end up with 2 or more of the same region.
    When a swf file is inserted into a page, a corresponding Scripts folder is written automatically is stored in the root of the site - it is also linked to in the head of the document. What I believe is happening is that when you apply a template to the page, the Template has no idea that there is a swf file on the page and is not aware of the correct link to the Scripts folder.  If you do a test and add the swf file to the template page itself, I bet that the links to the swf and the scripts folder are correct - because DW knows the correct path to the script file.   Hence the reason the page probably works when you detach it from a template.

    I have 2 games Words with Friends and Cityville that receives a Pop-up message form iTunes...  "Connect to iTunes to use Push Notifications" and will not allow me to exit out of the app or play.  How can I get this message to STOP?

    Yes - I connected my phone to my computer / Itunes and went into the apps section, but from there I have no idea how to manage the push notifications.  I even tryied going into itunes that is installed on my phone.  I still cannot find anyplace to manage these popups.  I have also gone into settings - notifiations - and tried turning all notifications for these apps all off but that didnt work either.  Any guidance is MUCH appreciated - Im not sure where to go from here.

    Hi Bala,
    Thanks for the reply.
    Iam writing the code under method like below.
    Importing:
    ls_doc type bapi_doc_draw2.
      APPEND is_files TO it_files.
      CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2'
        EXPORTING
          documentdata               = ls_doc
       IMPORTING
         documenttype               = iv_doctype
         documentnumber             = iv_docnumber
         documentpart               = iv_docpart
         documentversion            = iv_docvers
         return                     = iv_return
       TABLES
        documentfiles              = it_files.
    Iam checking with document number , document type, document part, document version... it is throwing error message as

  • FCP7 HELP - Exported quicktime mov plays differently than what I edited on the timeline. The playback shows the clips with ins and outs that are different than what I set in the clips when I edited - some are too early and the clips don't playback

    Please help ASAP.
    Specs: IOS 10.6.8
    Processor 2.4GHz Intel Core i5
    Memory 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3 -- Everything is edited, sourced, and stored on an 2TB external hard drive to make things go faster.
    Editing with FCP 7
    When I export the sequence I edited with quicktime, the playback video is very different from what I edited on the timeline. The playback has the clips with ins and outs that are way off than what I cut, and some of the clips don't show at all or have changed transitions. However when I play in the timeline in FCP, the sequence is fine, just the way I cut it.
    The source of the clips was one long .mov that I cut into clips for the timeline. Everything has gone smoothly but the exported .mov is just so different.
    How can I get the time codes of the clips to be the same in the exported .movs? I just want the quicktime .mov to represent my edit exactly.
    This video is due tomorrow - if the solution is too time consuming, can I play within the FCP player window and Log and Capture?
    Thanks,
    MV

    What is your source material? Is it H.264? FCP does not work correctly with that material.
    Click on a source clip in the FCP Browser, and once selected, type Command + 9 to see the item properties for the clip. Either report those properties, or take a screen shot of the item properties, and post that here.
    Next, click anywhere in your timeline, and then type Command + 0 {zero} to see your Sequence Settings. Either report those Sequence Settings, or take a screen shot of the Sequence Settings and post that here.

  • Using url with username and password in URL class

    Hi,
    I'm writting an applet in which I use getAppletContext().showDocument with an URL.
    The problem is that I'm using URLs with username and password (http://user:[email protected]/page) and it isn't working because the browser is getting the URL http://user/page.
    Is this a bug in the URL class? Or in the showDocument method?
    Is there any way to make this work?
    Thanks for any help,
    Pedro Prospero Luis ([email protected])

    I'm not sure whether this is supported behaviour. I've had this syntax fail to work in the Netscape address bar so I can't recommend it as an approach for authentication.
    If you want to authenticate the user before redirecting to the page, though, you could try creating a connection to another page on the same server and sending the authorization information then. Your browser may then be successfully authenticated.
    See http://www.javaworld.com/javatips/jw-javatip47.html for information on this.
    You might not need to read back the page from the server, just connect to it. Might work.

    Looking for an app that works with Mac and iPhone that will set calendar reminders of birthdays in contacts.

    Hi ron1098,
    Try my application Dates to iCal. it runs on the Mac, but you can sync the calendar to your iOS device.
    See more about Dates to iCal here. It is £4 shareware with a 2 week demo.

    I want to buy an hp m1536 laserjet for my ipad printing, I believe the printer is not wireless but has sprint. Is the print job going through my wireless router and does that router need to support AirPrint.

    The following model is airprint compatible, is this the one you have?
    HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf MFP
    If not the "dnf MFP" model, then no.
    The router needs to support the Bonjour protocol.  If not, the airprint won't work.

  • Performance Issue : Why does ADF Taskflow Portlet (JSF bridge portlet) loading ADF Specific images, css, js everytime from portlet producer with dynamic URL with portlet_id and context parameters?

    Hi All,
    We have used WSRP Portlet in Webcenter Portal Page. The Portlet is created using JSF Bridge out of ADF Bounded Taskflow.
    It is causing Performance issue. Every time static content like js, css and images URLs are downloaded  and the URL contain portlet_id and few other dynamic parameters like resource_id, client_id etc.
    We are not able to cache these static content as these contains dynamic URL. This ADF Specific  images, js and css files  are taking longer time to load.
    Sample URL:
    /<PORTAL_CONTEXT>/resourceproxy/~.clientId~3D-1~26resourceId~3Dresource-url~25253Dhttp~2525253A~2525252F~2525252F<10.*.*.*>~2525253A7020~2525252FportletProdApp~2525252Fafr~2525252Fring_60.gif~26locale~3Den~26checksum~3D3e839bc581d5ce6858c88e7cb3f17d073c0091c7/ring_60.gif

    Please suggest , how this performance issue can be resolved?
    Thanks.

    Strange...
    I can't reproduce this because i have issues with creating portlets... If i can solve this issue i will do some testing and see if i can reproduce the issue...
    Can you create a new producer with a single portlet that uses a simple taskflow and see if that works?
    Are you also using business components in the taskflows or something? You can try removing some parts of the taskflow and test if it works so you can identify the component(s) that causes the issues.

  • How do you burn videos taken with myIphone and stored on my computer to a DVD disc.  I purchased and tried using RealPlayer Plus 16 but got error message saying "unsopported media type"?  I alos tried using Real Players file converter with no success!

    How do you burn videos taken with my Iphone 4S and stored on my computer to a DVD disc.  I purchased and tried using RealPlayer Plus 16 but got error message saying "unsopported media type"?  I also tried using Real Players file converter with no success!  Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

    Probably the OP is no longer paying attention to this unless the OP is subscribed to this discussion.  While not really an iPhone question I guess using an iPhone to produce the movie which then needs taking to the next step makes this as good a starting place as any unless you happen to know enough about what to do to determine in which forum to post.  A suggestion in that direction would help.
    Anyway, Apple is backing off from supporting optical media.  It also depends upon what you mean by "DVD".  A DVD is just an optical disc which can support different file formats, but many people think it means a movie disc you can put in your TV.  Producing a movie disc requires special iDVD authoring software Apple used to sell but stopped several years ago.  I don't know if the old versions work under newer systems.  There's also the free Burn application which authors DVDs but takes a bit of learning and has nowhere near the features of iDVD.
    If the OP means simply burning the transferred movie files to a DVD for archiving in computer format you don't need special software for that; its built into the operating system File > New Burn folder etc.

  • ORA-03113 with pool and stored proc

    We are experiencing a strange error when calling a stored procedure using a
    connection pool (WLS 5.1 SP10, Oracle 8). Everything works fine until the
    stored procedure raises a user-defined exception. When the connection is

    Well, this seems to do the trick. We'll keep testing, but the errors have
    now disappeared for all instances of this problem.
    Thanks for the help!

    We'll try this, but it seems to be connection-oriented. If we have a pool
    of 5 connections, and an exception happens, only that connection seems tobe
    affected. The other connections in the pool work fine, and the proc works
    for those connections.

    Hi.
    The issue is likely related to our caching of PreparedStatements
    for performance. If some DBMS failure occurs which could invalidate
    a PreparedStatement/cursor such that it could never be re-used,
    even after clearParameters) are called etc, then this case might
    occur. Please take the attached jar file, and add it to the
    weblogic.classpath ahead of the standard weblogic stuff, by
    editing your startWebLogic script. This will turn off caching, and
    should make the problem go away. Let me know...

    Hi John,
    I have researched about this - but could not find a known issue
    which
    may
    be
    related to this.
    Which JDBC driver are you using?

    We are experiencing a strange error when calling a stored procedure
    using
    a
    connection pool (WLS 5.1 SP10, Oracle 8). Everything works fine
    until
    the
    stored procedure raises a user-defined exception. When the
    connection is
    used again, we get the 03113 error. It appears that the connectionis OK
    due to the testConnsOnReserve not returning an error, but on the
    next
    stored
    procedure call, the error happens. The database guys have no
    answers.
    Does
    anyone have a clue?
    Here is an ouput log showing what happens (this was done with a

  • What's wrong with iCloud and all that. See below

    What's wrong with iCloud tonight I am
    Sending texts and it is going as a normal text
    Not iMessage it was working earlier. Now
    Gas stopped working all of a sudden. If
    Anyone Is experiencing the same please let
    Me know. Also it is saying when I turn on and log
    In waiting for activation. I've never had this before.

    There is an earlier thread that was answered by an Apple employee that states they are seeing the iMessage and Facetime servers are down. It is unknown when they will return, however it generally is not an extended period of time.

  • How do you make a jumpt to URL with RRI and multiple values (RSBBS)

    I cannot for the life of me figure this out. I would like for a user to run a query on my sap portal. Put in a few restrictions, that could be multiples, example ZipCode 33333,45852,15454, CustomerAccounts = 'X', BusinessType = 'Y' etc etc...
    When I use the RRI with a URL link it only sends one value per parameter at a time example
    mybsppage.sample.htm?zip=33333%CustAcc=X&BusType=Y.
    My problem is that I need all three Zipcodes, not just one. Has anyone found away to send values to BSP pages or anyother url, using a form post anything... Help...

    You are correct in understanding that
    OWSM Templates cannot be modified after its created.
    You cannot change policy at one place and have it applied to all the services.
    You can however use the template and create policiies and if you want to change any values for a particular service, you can do that.
    Templates are more for combining individual steps into one template so that you can apply that to request or response pipeline and then add ore modify steps.
    Since there is no default way to apply policy to many services, One work around i can think of is to look into content routing.
    Thanks

  • "Log on failed" with ODBC and Stored Procedure

    I am in the process of porting our application from CR10 to CR.NET and am having some trouble setting the log on info.
    I have a report that was designed against a stored procedure and a development database.  The connection at design time is ODBC to a SQL Server.  At runtime I want to set the database and logon credentials to that of the production server, set the stored procedure parameters, and then display the report.  No matter what I do always get "Log on failed" error.
    After having considerable trouble with ApplyLogOnInfo on the tables where it seemed to not actually apply my changes, I finally found code which appeared to work elsewhere on this forum.  So this is the code that I have now, but the call to VerifyDatabase on the report always throws the Log on Failed exception:-
    void SomeClass::SetLogOnInfoForReportRecursively(ReportDocument^ ReportObj)
            CrystalDecisions::Shared::TableLogOnInfo^ l_pTableLogOnInfoToSet = gcnew CrystalDecisions::Shared::TableLogOnInfo();

    // l_Parameters contains the stored proc param name/values pairs to set at runtime
    for each (KeyValuePair<String^, String^> param in l_Parameters)
            pReportObj->SetParameterValue(param.Key, param.Value);
    pReportObj->VerifyDatabase();
    which then fails.  Can anyone see what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks

    Hi Paul,
    Are you using CR for VS SP 13? If not you can get it here:
    SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio: Updates & Runtime Downloads
    And MS SQL Server does not use a blank database name:
    l_pConnectionAttributes->Collection->Set("QE_DatabaseName", String::Empty);
    Set it to a database used in the report.
    And you don't need to call .Verify, unless the reports are not up to date, which is not recommended, you should be using ReplaceConnection. ( Search for this, KBA's and posts on how to use it )
    So rather that call .Verify try CRTable.TestConnectivity();
    If that fails then you know your log on failed also.
    Curious, if you try to preview the report it should prompt for log on info, if the Server and Database names are grayed out ( not editable ) then CR can't find the client either.
    And MS recommends using the client that matches the version of SQL Server, So if 2005 and less you can use the MDAC SQL Client driver, for MS 2008 then use the SQL Native 10 or above.
