Google like search

Question

Hi,
i'm trying to do a google like search in a J2EE application using Oracle 8.1.7 with Intermedia Text. Thus, I want to query
database and return a set with first the 'AND results' and then the 'OR
result'.
The result set must be distinct.
I came up with a query using the SCORE mechanism of Intermedia Text to do
the AND- and OR-sorting.
The query works, however he looks inefficient to me, and the execute time is
54secs. This is not acceptable.
Can anybody provide me with some tips on how to build a 'google-like' search
in oracle with Text. Or how to optimize my query, or oracle for executing my query.
