Got a Lenovo G50-70 computer running windows 8.1. Got a pop up says Adobe Air needs to be updated asks when do you want to update. Is this legitimate? I'm worried about viruses, worms. thanks.
The popup says An Adobe AIR update is ready to be installed.
I'm not sure it's really a message from Adobe.
I may not have any need to use AIR if it was installed on my computer by Lenovo or Windows 8.1.
My last computer had a popup that was, I think, a worm which told me I needed to update Flash Player Pro.
So, I'm nervous now about popup messages. I wish all legitimate programs could have options to Automatically install updates.
Can someone tell me if the popup sounds legitimate? Some programs give you a third option of No Thanks but this one just has a box to click for Update Now and a box for Update Later.

Shouldn't be a problem. Just like Windows Update, Adobe AIR needs to update itself periodically. Just click Update Now to update to the latest version.

Repair iTunes Security Permissions
Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Securitytab and click Advanced. Use the Change Permissions... button grant to your account (or the Users group) and SYSTEM full control of this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to Replace permissions entries... which will repair permissions throughout the library. When complete switch to the General tab, click in the Read-only check box to clear it, then click Apply.
If you don't have the option to change the permissions then use the Owner tab and Edit... button to take ownership from an account with administrator privileges. Tick the option to Replace owner on subcontainers and objects.
Repeat with the media folder if it isn't stored inside the main iTunes folder.
If you've brought over the library from another computer you may also want to remove any "mystery" identities (S<string of dashes & digts>) that have come over from the old computer...

I'm not sure if iTunes is compatible with my computer operating system because when I try to install it, it says the installation is completed but it says there was an error so it won't let me get itunes! Natalie.I just tried running the Lenovo Hard Drive Quick Test both in normal mode and in safe mode. Both times it indicated a failed read test on the HDD. The last two tests also failed. I forget what those tests were called.
I am really beginning to think I have a bad HDD and the problem just happens to be in the reserved partition where my factory system software resides. -
5200 photosmart all-in-one problems printing with new dell computer running windows 8.1
have a photosmart C5280 all-in-one that I was using with a computer running windows XP, it worked fine. Bought a new computer running windows 8.1, printer not printing very well at all. It prints page after page of one or two lines of hyroglifics untile I cancelled print document to stop using up paper. I uninstalled printer software and reinstalled from HP web site software for running with windows 8.1 still not working.

View Solution.I think this has got me printing again. I had to uninstall the full feature software and loaded the driver only. I could not get the full feature software to load completly so I loaded the driver only and this seem to work O.K. Thanks for the help.

Your question has probaby been answered already because it was posted a month ago but anyways what you do is you plug your phone into your computer. Next you want to open iTunes and click on File. Then you go down to "Transfer Purchases from *your name* iPhone". Then just wait for it to sync and you should be good.

I just set up a new computer running Windows 8.1. When I go to my icloud photostream, the pictures are in PNG format NOT JPG. When I open and upload photos from the photostream, the resolution is so low that the image quality is terrible. Help?!?
Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. I have Iphone 4 running version 4.3.5 when I try to syn with iTuneson my computer running Windows XP I get the message "canot save Backup" any thoughts how to resolve?
Trying it again worked. The only difference between this time and the last time was that this time I let the sync process do its backup. So, for anyone else, before trying drastic steps to fix the issue, I'd suggest just updating to the latest iOS (I did it via USB, it probably doesn't matter though) and letting the sync process do ALL of its thing.
