Gotoxy( ) for console apps

Question

Does Java have a method to locate the cursor on the output screen of a console application?
I am referring to a method that is similar to the gotoxy(x,y) function in C++ that will place the cursor on the output screen at the point with coordinates (x,y) for subsequent output.
Note that I am not interested in any GUI-related solutions to this problem ... I am strictly in need of a solution for a simple console output application.

of a console application?I think, No. Java uses console on i/o stream.
I am referring to a method that is similar to the gotoxy(x,y) function
in C++ that will place the cursor on the output screen at the point
with coordinates (x,y) for subsequent output.In this case, if you can handle it easily in C++, then by using
Java's JNI it could be easily solved. The data transfering
between Java program and native code could just be the integer
coordinates and some command flags.
