  • Graphical/Visual representation of semantic network in webcenter

    Hi Experts
    As part of a solution we are developing, we require to have a graphical or link analysis view (web based) of the semantic data stored in an Oracle Database.
    Ideally, we are looking for a tool/component that we can use to invoke from a portal screen.
    Alternatively, are there any APIs available that we could use to develop the web based user interface/graphical viewer of the semantic data.
    Would appreciate a reply at the earliest.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
    Graphical presentation of link may not realy give you whole a lot of information as to why the link is slow, graphical just provides for utilization stats and perhaps errors stats depending on the graphical software used just as prtg provided by previous poster.
    One thing you may want to consider is to implementing in your router netflow and get a freeware netflow collector to see how is your link being utilized , you may need to watch the physical interface stats of your broadband link for errors to rule out physical issues in the link.

  • Presentation Printer Advice

    I am looking for a decent printer to print mostly graphical presentations and occasion decent quality photos from Adobe CS5 Design Suite and Microsoft products. We are a construction company and we print project proposals (usually 8 copies, 20-40 pages), but because they are always completed at the last minute before they are due we rarely have time to send them to the printers. Our high end marketing material is printed by a 3rd party so that is not a consideration. I currently use our Savin C4040 office color laser printer but it does not print borderless and the quality is not great on the photos in the presentations. Also once the printer gets hot (100+ pages with intense color) the prints will get splotchy and flake in areas.
    Budget: $500 - $2000
    Size: 8x11 should be fine
    Borderless: Yes
    Double Sided: would be nice but not required if budget does not allow
    Network: needs to be ethernet networkable to reside on our domain and a shared printer
    Bypass Tray: I would like if it has a straight through bypass tray able to accept heavy weight paper for covers and back pages, presentations are usually bound with a spiral coil

    Thanks for the information. =>

  • Start up disk full - doesn't add up!

    Hi,
    I'm a first time Mac user and, I am having trouble with a full start up disc. My iMac 1 TB hard disc only has 12 GB unused space. I've seen a number of questions posted, so it seems I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. However I've not seen any answers for the problem I'm experiencing. I've downloaded DaisyDisk hoping it would point me in the right direction as to what files to delete. However this has only confirmed that something unidentifiable is eating away at my disc space (probably something in the "dark slice" seen in the graphic presentation of my hard disc seen below). When checking out the hard disc i can se that 85 GB is space used by Users (of which home video and pictures is about 45 GB), 7 GB Library-directory, 3,2 GB System, 2,5 GB Program, and finally about 2,5 GB Other smaller files. In total approx. 100 GB used space!! What is occupying the 800 GB which cannot be seen? Something not visible is eating away space or is there a problem with OX Lion which I've upgraded to?
    Please help! I hope there is a MAC guru somewhere out there who can solve this in laymans terms.
    (And please do not tell me there are personal files clogging my computer - there is no way that is creating this problem. As stated above I've checked for this and it only amounts to 100GB. There must be some system log file or cache file, under the radar creating this problem. And yes I have emptied the trash can, web cache as well as disconnected my gmail account from Mail and emptied it)

    Pondini,
    Thank you for the great help! I downloaded WhatSize (one of the programs referred to in the article you guided me to.). Logged on to every user account and ran this disk utility. Turns out Mail (connected to a gmail account) for one of the users has been creating the problem. A faulty mail has been resending and failed again to infinity and created some sort of backup log which reached more than 800 GB! I'm now back at 100 GB used disc space of 1 TB. (Perhaps DaisyDisk might have done the same thing, but I was getting desperate. WhatSize was worth every penny!)
    The air is back, I can breath again.
    Once again many thanks!

    Hi Ludek,
    That is exactly what I was doing, but, the problem is that I can't assign a keyfigure to the sencond pointer in the Graphic Design step. Although, in Graphic Assigment tab I fill information for the second pointer, it is lost and never remains in the definition and of course it doesn't appears at graphic presentation.
    As Kai suggest, there is a way to set Use Categories and Data Index, but, where  can I do that?, following the step by step procedure to configure the cockpit frame, there is no a step to set up those properties.
    Thank you

  • Read Error of images in libre office

    read error in images of LibreOffice
    Hi, when loading this file, do not load images in the document, this only happens since version 3.5, instead of pictures, a box appears with the message "read error".
    The file I downloaded from the Internet, the images are correctly loaded into abiword.
    I would appreciate your help, thanks.
    The File

    Crystal Reports is limited in how it works with images - large images or a large number of images, etc. Much as CR is not a good database archiving tool, it's not a very good graphics presenter. I find stand-alone versions of CR are a bit better, but that may just be a perception. My recommendations:
    1) Try an eval of a stand-alone version of CR:
    http://www.sap.com/solutions/sapbusinessobjects/sme/freetrials/index.epx
    Go for CR 2008 as CR 2011 does not have any SDK
    2) Make sure the picture  blob  what ever, never spills beyond the designer pane of the report. This may change from site to site depending on printer drivers used (CR depends on these to render the report)
    3) Have a look at the article [Causes of "Background Processing" error|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/50a6f5e8-8164-2b10-7ca4-b5089df76b33]

  • Problem: How to reduce display size in Xorg

    I am really stuck at this. The problem is as follows:
    I have a DIY projector which uses a 17'' 1280x1024 LCD (Samsung 740n). Due to some technicalities the top and bottom 100px of the display are mostly unusable and I have covered them in isolation tape so that stray light cannot pass. I want to configure X to use only 720px vertical (1280x720) without changing the resolution (it must stay 1280x1024, otherwise the LCD will expand it to fit the whole screen).
    Graphically presented it would look something like this:
    XXXXXXXXXXX
    OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOO
    OOOOOOOOOO
    XXXXXXXXXXX
    Xs are unused space (black bars)
    Os are usable display space (1280x720)
    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

    Yes. The LCD will stretch everything you give it that's not 4:3, that sucks.

    Virtual 1280 720
    Was the first thing I tried, actually. It doesn't really work, I tried it with several other options. It either stretched the picture or did nothing. I think the only possible way to do it would be to send a 1280x1024 to the videocard and fooling X into thinking its usable desktop size is 1280x720. I don't know if this makes any sense whatsoever, I'm not really familiar on how X interacts with the hardware.

  • Class CL_RSR_QUERY_VARIABLES does not exit anymore

    Dear all,
    Class CL_RSR_QUERY_VARIABLES does not exist anymore in NW04s. Does anybody know what is the new class that substitutes it?
    Thanks and regards,
    Flavia Sanchez

    Hi Michael,
    I am the guy responsible for this development.
    The class is used in a function module to execute a BW Query and return a xml string within a BSP application. The result table of the query is used within the BSP application logic to fill the graphical presentation layer that consitutes the front end of the BSP application.
    Here is the statement within the FM where the class is used:
      DATA: wf_query_var TYPE REF TO cl_rsr_query_variables .
    Here is the call to the FM within the BSP application (Even Handler: OnInputProcessing):
          CALL FUNCTION 'Z_RMZ_BW_SEM_NGRM_EXE_QRY'
            EXPORTING
              QUERY_NAME            = rpt_tech_id
            IMPORTING
              XML_OUT               = xml_out
              REF_RESULT_TAB        = res_tab
            TABLES
              QUERY_VARIABLES       = var
              RETURN                = breturn
              META                  = meta
            EXCEPTIONS
              BAD_VALUE_COMBINATION = 1
              USER_NOT_AUTHORIZED   = 2
              UNKNOWN_ERROR         = 3
              QUERY_NOT_FOUND       = 4
              OTHERS                = 5.
    If this class does not exist with this name in NW then I assume it must exist as another object since this is THE class for programming with query variables.
    Thanks for your support.

  • BiBeans possible with 8i or 9i

    Hello,
    Is it possible to use BiBeans with Oracle 8i or 9i database with JDeveloper?
    Thanks in advance.
    Cosmos

    BI Beans supports 9.2 of the database with either the 9205 or 9206 patchsets. This will allow you to create an OLAP schema within your database. BI Beans will then use the database java OLAP API to enable you to create crosstab or graphical presentations of your data.
    The BI Beans graph bean is packaged as a seperate component and can access relational data sources as well as OLAP data sources. It does this by using an XML data source. There is a sample shipped with BI Beans that shows how to use the BI Beans graph with an XML data source.
    There is also an OBE listed at this link:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe9051jdev/BIBeansOBE/BIBeansOBE.htm
    which shows how to use a BI Beans graph with in an ADF Business Components/JSP/Struts Application. The application built in the script is a master view with one detail, where the detail is rendered as a Business Intelligence Beans Graph (BI Graph).
    Hope this helps

  • HR-OCI 6.0 Announcement

    Dear certified vendors, SAP Partner - Software - with Certified Integration, and/or Independent Software Vendor with Certified Integration for HR-OCI 4.6,
    Dear intertested vendors in organizational charting integration with SAP,
    Today, we would like to inform you that as of end of September 2006 a new version of the HR-OCI interface will be available for mySAP ERP 2005 and onwards.
    The new interface HR-OCI 6.0 - as its previous version - allows a third-party vendor’s application to extract SAP Organizational Management objects, relationships and attribute data from SAP Organizational Management and SAP Personnel Administration. Extracted data are displayed in a graphic presentation. Mainly, as the interface is a Web-enabled interface, the graphical display is for the SAP Enterprise Portal and specifically for SAP Enterprise Portal roles (e. g. SAP Manager Self-Service).
    The interface utilizes the functionality provided by the Object and Data Provider (OADP) and SAP Query to extract the desired data from SAP Organizational Management and SAP Personnel Administration.
    The technical reason why SAP offers a new interface version is that the Object and Data Provider (OADP) functionality changed as of release mySAP ERP 2005. Hence, a new parameter that was introduced by the new OADP functionality needs to be reflected in the interface. This new parameter is coming along with the organizational structure views invented in mySAP ERP 2005.
    Besides the technical reason for a new version of the SAP HR Interface for Organizational Charting the new interface version includes the following additional features:
    Context-sensitive launch of organizational charting applications
    This means that from an OADP based table (like the Organizational Unit Viewer iView in the Business Package for SAP Manager Self-Service (mySAP ERP) 1.0 a user can launch the organizational chart for a subordinated organizational unit. The third-party’s organizational chart application can show up a subordinated organizational unit as the focused object (i.e. object on top of the screen that displays the chart) although the root object is some levels up. To support this functionality, a new organizational structure is delivered to act as example for your implementation.
    Usage of the integration scenarios in other solutions that use the Object and Data Provider (OADP) functionality as of mySAP ERP 2005 release (according to license conditions).
    This provides the possibility to give other users than managers access to organizational chart utilizing third-party products and thereby use graphical org charts in other business scenarios.
    Central SAP Notes are:
    931794 (SAP HR Interface for organiaztional Charting (HR-OCI) 6.0)
    746426 (MSS: Organizational Charting Interface HR-OCI 4.6)
    846057 (HR-OCI - Certified Providers)
    For the new interface HR-OCI 6.0 we offer third-party vendors the possibility to get certified. The certification is valid for the integration scenarios from mySAP ERP 2005 onwards. Certification for the previous version of HR-OCI, namely HR-OCI 4.6, are for releases 4.6C to mySAP ERP 2004 and certainly are valid.
    If you are interested in more details or certification, do not hesitate to contact the Integration and Certification Center (ICC) via SAP Service Marketplace (http://www.sap.com/partners/ICC) using the online service request form.

    Can you please advise if customers who have older versions of SAP (with R/3 Web Plug-in, or versions with integrated HR-OCI) and who have upgraded to SAPGUI Build 640 are affected by this issue We are seeing the following error when trying to pull back the default views OCIMIN and OCIOFO from SAP.
    XML data is empty
    However logging in to SAP and using the remote function module HCM_GET_ORGSTRUCTURE_AS_XML or HCM_GET_ORGSTRUCTURE_AS_XML_IN we get XML returned OK. Can somebody please respond?

  • What is the best way to display list of software titles for sale?

    I am a small retailer that would like to display a list of approximately 15-30 software titles in the most professional way (with prices).
    Can anyone recommend a layout that would serve this purpose, the ones in the template just don't seem to cut it.
    If anyone wants to email me an example, I'd really appreciate it.

    Probably your best bet would be to browse the websites or catalogs of other software stores to see what strikes you as professional, and use that as an inspiration to design your own.
    Also, there are many websites with additional iWork templates--here's one:
    http://www.iworkcommunity.com/
    and google turns up more.
    I can think of a few different ways to present a list of 15-30 software titles with prices (one column, two column, sub-categorized by maker, sub-categorized by function, sub-categorized by sale vs. regular price), but only you have the knowledge to know what system is most likely to appeal to your customers and match the overall graphic presentation of your store.

  • Discoverer plus running totals

    hi,
    any help will be appreciated.
    I use Oracle discoverer plus. recently I tried to build a running total (average) calculation using the template provided. I defined 10 previous observations for this purpose. discoverer performed the calculation but the problem is with the first 9 (in this case) observations of the new calculation, because it averaged the first first observation, than the first two, than the first three and so on. when you get to the tenth observation it becomes correct, but you can imagine it is problematic, especially the graphic presentation. if I could present the graph only from the tenth observation and on it would be an acceptable compromise. any other suggestions are welcome too.
    Thanks.
    Mark.

    Hi,
    I am afraid it is not at all clear what you are trying to do here. If you think of your results as a table of data do you want your calculation to be the same for all rows, a group of rows, or a running calculation changing for each row. Any graphical representation must be based on this underlying data.
