GRC: Control Design Plan Task dump  MESSAGE_TYPE_X

Hi,
When a task plan is created, workflow WS75900001 gets triggered. This workflow sets a task for background execution to update the plan status. This step generates a dump  MESSAGE_TYPE_X in background, and the workflow is held up (status remains in process).
Due to this the task plan status is not updated to "Complete" from "Planning".
What can be the root cause of this issue?
I feel some configuration is missing, but am not able to figure out what?

    Hi Experts,
I need very urgent help from you guies,
Point 1. I am training to do the Survey for Control Desing Assesment .
         --Created Survey for Control Design
         --Created Questions for Control Design
    Then i created planner
Planner under Assessment Planning in the Assessments work center
         created Planner
         Enter Planner Name : ABC
Select Plan Activity :Perform Control Design Assessment from drop down list
It display my Survey Templet name and selected the same as previously created one
and then specified  Due Date xxxxx
then i click on Next button
Select Regulation screen is displaying ..
    hear is the Issue
I am not able to find the Regulations in this screen..
But i checked in SPRO..all regulations are mapped to Perform Control Design Assessment
So what is the path forward for this..please help me.
    thanks,
    Suresh

    Hi Karina,
    Thanks for Response ..
Node "Relate Regulation to Plan Usage" in SPRO ?
In this Customizing activity, you assign specific plan usages to specific regulations
--->Already Assign specif plan to usages to specific regulations for Ref Please see the below info
    PERF-CDASS--->SOX
    PERF-CDASS --->ZINTERNAL_CONTROLS
    PERF-CDASS-->ZSOD
As Naveen Discussed on above What Role should required to assign in Org level ,can you please specify the roles,So that i can recheck it.
please let me know for path forward.

  • Plan Task functionality in 11.5.10.2

    Hi all!
I would like to ask how the Task Status, as it appears on the Warehouse Control Board, is controlled.
Initially, in 11.5.9, the Tasks used to appear with the status of 'Pending'.
After a recent upgrade to 11.5.10.2 the Tasks appear with the status of 'Unreleased' .
Please note that the Pick Release Rules, in both cases have the "Plan Task' set to YES.
    Looking forward to your feedback

You need to reapply your mod directly to the 11.5.10.2 version of APXVDMVD.fmb via forms builder (f60desm on unix or ifbld60.exe on windows). Then copy the form to $AU_TOP/forms/US and compile the form via adadmin or command line:
    cd $AU_TOP/forms/US
    f60gen module=$AU_TOP/forms/US/APXVDMVD.fmb userid=APPS/apps output_file=$AP_TOP/forms/US/APXVDMVD.fmx module_type=form compile_all=yes
You should register the mod in $APPL_TOP/admin/applcust.txt so you get a warning while patching if you get an updated file that wipes out your mod.

    Hi;
I have a problem in GRC-PC I can't solve. My User is generating a 'Dashboard' report on the status of planned for the 1st quarter of 2014 (compliance controls), this controls not planned, but presented the control with status Submitted.

If you open the recovery drive (partition) it should only have a single folder (Recovery).
To make sure that your not saving restore points to that drive.
    See:
Start, Control Panel, System, System Protection tab. Make sure the D drive partition is set to OFF so that it does not save there.

  • Workflow for control design assessment

    Hello Experts,
By using the planner "Control Design Assessment", we are able to send workflow to control owner.
But when we try to send the same workflow to more than one user (by assigning more than one control owners for the same control), all the assigned control owners are getting the workflow, however when any one of them responds to the workflow and submits it, the workflow received by the other control owners is getting closed without them responding to it.
So, is there any configuration setting whereby all the control owners should respond to the workflow?
    Regards,
    Ramakrishna Chaitanya

    Dear Ramakrishna,
change the task settings of this path to "All Approvers" instead of "Any one of Approvers".
This should actually fix your problem and all approvers have to approve.

    Alessandro

I've tried and tried but can't get the State-Space block module to give me a graph / output.
I have no idea what the problem is and hope that somebody can help me. The numbers and calculations work in Matlab (Simulink) but i can't get it to simulate in labview.
    Anybody got any ideas?

The problem is that you are assuming that LabVIEW executes left to right. Dataflow doesn't work this way. Your code as this:
does not tell LabVIEW that it has to execute everything from left to right. What is happening is that he is executing the 3 'island' of code in parallel and, in this case, it will have 'empty' values. You have to remove the local variables to make this work and dataflow paradigm will execute your code from left to right, as you want. here is the code:
Also, one more thing. Your input to the "CD Linear Simulation" is all zero. That means that you are trying to input zero input to a linear system, which will give you a zero output to the response. You probably do not want that since zero as input doesn't give you any more information. If you want to see how to system goes to zero after initial conditions, you should use "CD Initial Response". Or you should modify the input signal to the system. Please study this shipping example to understand how to use Linear Simulation and Initial Response:

  • Graphic Design Plan?

I am a student, and I see that there is an affordable 10/month plan for photography exclusive programs. Is there something similar for a graphic design plan? Like a 15/month plan for Illustrator and Photoshop?

    Hi,
I am sorry but there is no such plan.
If you wish to subscribe for only Illustrator and Photoshop, you will need to sign up for single-app plans separately for each application.

  • Timed Loop timing source - Control Loop From Task is too slow

I'm trying to make a Timed Loop run at a period of 2 ms, with an analog input task running at 50 kHz as timing source. The input analog signal is scaled and fed into a synchronised analog output task on the same multifunction DAQ board. Using the built-in 1 kHz or 1 MHz clock as timing source for the Timed Loop works great, except for a slight time lag between the loop and my AI/AO tasks which over time becomes unacceptable because my task will be running for up to an hour. However, when I use the DAQmx Create Timing Source: Control Loop From Task vi to create a timing source, everything slows down and the fastest loop time I can get is around 20 ms. Any suggestions to get around this would be highly appreciated!
System: LabVIEW RT 8.0 with DAQmx 8.0 running on an NI PXI-8186; NI PXI-6251 used for analog input.

    You're welcome!
You can build an array, and if your data is not hugh (100's of MB) this may be the easiest solution. However, we aways suggest implementing the Producer/Consumer Architecture. Keep the PID in the Producer loop, but move the File IO to the Consumer. Also, it  appears that your instrument uses some form of serial communication, so that could cause lags in your system....
What is your application about in general, what performance are you hoping for, etc?

  • ALE throws dump Message_Type_X

    Hi All,
I did ALE configuration on my DEV and PRD for transferring data from DEV to PRD. Although i know, we should not move any data from DEV to PRD, but it's client requirement.
So i did ALE and model view successfully generated on DEV and RFC is perfectly fine even by connection test or authorization test.
When i run bd10 on DEV, it successfully generated idoc with message type MATMAS. and when i get the materail via BD11, it successfully created idoc on PRD. but when i see the material in MM03, it throws error material does not exist or is not activated.
    it also throws dump Message_Type_X

  • Control design and simulation module

    Hi,
I am new to Labview and i am trying to work on Control System design. I have downloaded and installed the Evaluation Module of Control Design and Simulation Module. The problem I am facing witht this is its not showing any control fuctions in functions Palette. While installing it said its installing only control design and simulation assistant. Please, can anyone help with this.
I am actually looking at this module to implement Sliding mode control for non linear systems. I would like to know if there are any examples to implement this??
    Thank You.

    Hello
The problem is the following. The version of LabVIEW that you are using does not match the version of the evaluation version of LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Module (CD&SIM). If that happens, the installer will not select the support files for your LabVIEW. If you download LabVIEW 2011, then you must install CD&SIM 2011.
Now, the module in the current version does not have an example with sliding mode control. But using this module, you can easily implement the algorithms and simulation its result using the Control and Simulation Loop.
    Hope this helps.

  • Control design and simulation palette

    Hi all
I've recently installed LV 8.2 professional edition on my PC.
Watching the function palette i've seen the sub-palette 'Control design and simulation' empty... Is it normal? Do i need some toolkit to see something in it?

its because the main labview is install in c:\program files , but when you install the module it will install in programfiles(x86) ,that because the **bleep**ing bug in the installation and programmers , plz fixx this , i think you have to copy paste files into the main NI labview which is in program files not program files (x86)...
If LabVIEW is installed in "c:\program files", it means that you installed LabVIEW 64bit. You should install LabVIEW 32bit, which will go to "c:\program files(x86)" and will be compatible with your toolkit.
There is nothing wrong with the installer. You simply picked the wrong product.
Do NOT copy files between the two mentioned folders. One is for 32bit applications and one is for 64bit applications (assuming you have a 64bit OS).
The toolkit is not compatible with 64bit LabVIEW (Details).

  • Control, design and simulation

    Hello everybody,
I am trying to run a simulation in Control Design and Simulation module. My simulation consists of various simulation systems. The subsystems are working as desired when run as separate units, but when I run the complete system, the subsystems fail to produce the output values.
I have not used any local variables or any discrete function vi inside a subsystem.
Where am I wrong ? Any help would be much appreciated.

I mean the indicators connected to various subsystems are inactive and don't produce any output values. I tried to find the error using the Error Cluster, but it didn't show any error. I am using LabVIEW 2011. I have attached the complete system including the subsystems. The individual systems are working fine. I changed the solver too, but the problem persisted. Please try to identify the error.
    Barp wrote:
When you say: Fail to produce a output, what do you mean?
On the right side of the Control and Simulation loop you have the 'Error Out' cluster. Create a control from it and see if you have an error. Also, which version of LabVIEW are you using?
If this is not producing an error, then try to change the solver you are using. It would help if you could post your code (or at least pictures) of it.
