Green border around urxvt in xmonad

Heya,
I installed xmonad about a week ago and I set my terminal to urxvt in my xmonad.hs. Every urxvt window I launch, whether it be from Mod-Shift-Enter, dmenu, or another terminal has a green border, completely ignoring the border colors I specified in my configuration. If I set my terminal to xterm, it actually uses the border colors I specified.
I've been having the same problem on Arch in a Parallels VM for about a month and I've yet to see how to fix this, yet I see people in the Artwork/Screenshots board with no such green border on xmonad. How would I go about fixing this problem?

edit: I should mention that I tried URxvt.borderLess: true but that didn't work.
Try to add it then..see if that helps
URxvt.borderColor: <color>
(you could also make it the same color as URxvt.background and the border would have to disapear anyway)
Yeah, that doesn't work either. I have a feeling xmonad itself is giving it the green border due to borderLess and borderColor not working. :S

    skottish, thank you so much! At least I found where to search thing to fix.
    There was one problem with you solution - if you change window.client.padding lines to the zero, you will lost ability to resize terminal window. The best fix is to change this lines:
    window.active.client.color: #XXXXXX
    window.active.client.color: #XXXXXX
    and set #000000 or what would you like.
    Anyway, thanks again, you gave me a key to solution!

  • DVD plays with green border

    I am new to DVD studio pro. I'm trying to burn my first DVD. Whenever I burn a disc and play it on my computer there is a thin green border around the edge. I exported it from Final Cut Pro and converted it with compressor to be in the right format for DVD studio. Can anyone tell me why this happens and what I can do to get rid of it?
    Thanks!

    As a follow up, I tried putting both Anti-Alias and Detail Level to 1, which reduced the border (halo) to almost acceptable levels (a bit on the left, almost unnoticeable on the bottom), but the image quality was reduced noticeably in side-by-side comparisons between it and the default settings.
    I also tried turning Frame Control off which made the green go away completely and improved the image quality compared to the DVD from the default settings.

  • How to get rid of the black border around the artboard

    Hopefully my last question for tonight.
    I need to get rid of the black border around the artboard. The two images show my drawing lined up with the art board and then inside the artboard. The dark gray is not the artboard.
    As you see, the artboard has a black border. I need to get rid of it. It shows up in my project when my color key is green. The black won't go to transparent.
    So how-to get rid of the border? Thanks
    ***Update***
    I figured it out. View > Hide Artboards. Maybe this will help someone. Doesn't change the fact my spider looks like a tick:)

  • Red Border Around Image

    Hi,
    In Photoshop CS3 I'm creating a 5 x5  pixel image in a green color. On my canvas it shows it completely green. I then emboss it. Before and after I emboss it I look at the navigator window and I see this red border around the green image. After I save it as a PSD file and then bring it into Dreamweaver, I can see the red border when viewing in IE. I tried making the background and foreground green but still a red border. Am I missing something?
    Thanks
    Steve

    You're confusing some things...
    The red rectangle in the Navigator window has nothing to do with the content of your image.  It shows you what part of your image you're looking at in the main window.
    If you're saving your file an seeing the red border in the image, you have somehow saved the red color in the image, or the way you're using the image has put a border around it.  For example, put in a web page a certain way a browser might put a border around the image to indicate that it's a link.  I'm not familiar with DreamWeaver, but I suspect from what you're describing the red isn't really in the image.
    Do you see the red in the image when you use an image viewer to view the file from within your folder?
    Please post the image here (use the little camera icon just above where you type) and we'll let you know if we see any red.

  • Export from FCE to iDVD, results in black border around movie

    Here is the problem....
    I have edited a movie in FCE where all of the footage is 1440 x 1080
    I export it using: File -> Export... QuickTime movie
    I choose "self contained" movie and "audio/video", plus "chapter markers" in the pop up menu.
    I then take this into iDVD amd all looks ok in the preview, but once burnt to DVD, there is a large black border around the entire movie.  It is almost like it is a smaller movie which does not fill the screen correctly.
    Any idea why this happens and how to overcome this. When I lok at the exported movie from FCE- it is 720-x576 and not the full size- is this the problem?
    Thanks for any tips.

  • Automating a border around graphics that is 5in wide and .5in from top/bottom of graphic w/stroke

    I have a repetitive task at work that sidetracks me from my 3d work quite a bit.  I take graphics that are converted to .ai from Coreldraw.  My task is to create a border around the graphic that is either 5in wide or 6.5 wide and whatever height I need, usually .5in from the top and the bottom.  Then I group them together (which isn't 100% necessary), save them back out for the desktop publisher to use in Indesign.  So essentially I need a script to access the data from the entire graphic and create this border rectangle around it and center them together.  I would also like it to be able to choose that if a graphic is 4.8 wide to make the border 6.5, and likewise if it's less that 4.8 wide then create a border that is only 5in wide.  This whole process is necessary to import the graphics into indesign.  This would save our company LOADS of time.  Any help would be appreciated.
    EDIT:  As well the stroke needs to be aligned to the inside.  This may be a very simple script, I'm just pretty new to scripting in Ai.

    If there is no border it comes into ID blank.  I'm not in the loop on their workflow but before I started
    writing this script I asked why they needed the border and why it had to be aligned to the inside.  I'm to the point of just making the script and save myself hours a day rather than question their pipeline issues.  It's keeping me from getting my 3d work and animations done having to mess with it so...Here's the code I have so far.
    'Variables
    Set appRef = CreateObject("Illustrator.Application")
    Set docRef = appRef.ActiveDocument
    set artHeight = docRef.groupitems(1).height
    set artWidth = docRef.groupitems(1).width
    'Set variable to adjust width depending on art width
    If artRef.width >= 325 then
        set rectWid = 468
    If artRef.width < 325 then
        set rectWid = 360
    End If
    End If
    'Make rectangle height 1 inch taller than the artwork
    set rectHeight = rectHeight + 72
    'Create rectangle
    set rectRef = docRef.PathItems.Rectangle (700, 50, rectWid, recHeight)
    rectRef.stroked = true
    rectRef.filled = false
    'Create white color and variable
    set colorRef = CreateObject("Illustrator.RGBColor")
    colorRef.red = 255
    colorRef.blue = 255
    colorRef.green = 255
    'Apply the color to the stroke
    rectRef.strokecolor = colorRef
    This is my first script for Ai and I haven't worked with VB code in a good while.
    I can't find a way to set the groups height and width to a variable to I can add to them to give dimensions of the border.  As well I can't find an attribute to align the stroke to the inside of the rectangle.

  • Border around button on mouse over

    hi,
    I am trying to get a white border around a buttonwith green background on mouse over but the button always get filled with blue.

    </Style.Triggers>
    </Style>
    </Button.Style>
    </Button>
    the button background is green but the green color is overlapped with blue on mouseover.
    I want the green color to be there and a white border to appear around the button.
    can somebody help me with this?

    Yes, this behaviour is by deign in WPF. Since button control in WPF has one ButtonChrome component and its backgound will be re-rendered when we use mouse over it. I can show the default template of Button: (we can use Visual Studio 2010 + to export
    the default template)
    <ControlTemplate x:Key="Template1" TargetType="ButtonBase">
    <my:ButtonChrome Background="{TemplateBinding Control.Background}" BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding Control.BorderBrush}" Name="Chrome" RenderDefaulted="{TemplateBinding Button.IsDefaulted}" RenderMouseOver="{TemplateBinding UIElement.IsMouseOver}" RenderPressed="{TemplateBinding ButtonBase.IsPressed}" SnapsToDevicePixels="True">
    <ContentPresenter Content="{TemplateBinding ContentControl.Content}" ContentStringFormat="{TemplateBinding ContentControl.ContentStringFormat}" ContentTemplate="{TemplateBinding ContentControl.ContentTemplate}" HorizontalAlignment="{TemplateBinding Control.HorizontalContentAlignment}" Margin="{TemplateBinding Control.Padding}" RecognizesAccessKey="True" SnapsToDevicePixels="{TemplateBinding UIElement.SnapsToDevicePixels}" VerticalAlignment="{TemplateBinding Control.VerticalContentAlignment}" />
    </my:ButtonChrome>
    <ControlTemplate.Triggers>
    <Trigger Property="UIElement.IsKeyboardFocused" Value="True">
    <Setter Property="my:ButtonChrome.RenderDefaulted" TargetName="Chrome" Value="True" />
    </Trigger>
    <Trigger Property="ToggleButton.IsChecked" Value="True">
    <Setter Property="my:ButtonChrome.RenderPressed" TargetName="Chrome" Value="True" />
    </Trigger>
    <Trigger Property="UIElement.IsEnabled" Value="False">
    <Setter Property="Control.Foreground" Value="#FFADADAD" />
    </Trigger>
    </ControlTemplate.Triggers>
    </ControlTemplate>
    so we have one simple solution to apply our custom background in button, remove the property set in buttonChrome:
    <Window.Resources>
    <ControlTemplate x:Key="Template1" TargetType="ButtonBase">
    <my:ButtonChrome Background="{TemplateBinding Control.Background}" BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding Control.BorderBrush}" Name="Chrome" RenderDefaulted="{TemplateBinding Button.IsDefaulted}" RenderPressed="{TemplateBinding ButtonBase.IsPressed}" SnapsToDevicePixels="True">
    <ContentPresenter Content="{TemplateBinding ContentControl.Content}" ContentStringFormat="{TemplateBinding ContentControl.ContentStringFormat}" ContentTemplate="{TemplateBinding ContentControl.ContentTemplate}" HorizontalAlignment="{TemplateBinding Control.HorizontalContentAlignment}" Margin="{TemplateBinding Control.Padding}" RecognizesAccessKey="True" SnapsToDevicePixels="{TemplateBinding UIElement.SnapsToDevicePixels}" VerticalAlignment="{TemplateBinding Control.VerticalContentAlignment}" />
    </my:ButtonChrome>
    <ControlTemplate.Triggers>
    <Trigger Property="UIElement.IsKeyboardFocused" Value="True">
    <Setter Property="my:ButtonChrome.RenderDefaulted" TargetName="Chrome" Value="True" />
    </Trigger>
    <Trigger Property="ToggleButton.IsChecked" Value="True">
    <Setter Property="my:ButtonChrome.RenderPressed" TargetName="Chrome" Value="True" />
    </Trigger>
    <Trigger Property="UIElement.IsEnabled" Value="False">
    <Setter Property="Control.Foreground" Value="#FFADADAD" />
    </Trigger>
    </ControlTemplate.Triggers>
    </ControlTemplate>
    </Window.Resources>
    <Grid>
    <Button Content="Button" Background="Green" Name="button1" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="75" Template="{StaticResource Template1}" />
    </Grid>
    Then you could contiune to apply your custom trigger in style to apply different color on MouseOver the button.

  • How can I put a colored border around the whole page?

    I just want to know how to pur a colored border around the whole page?

    Hi Rachel,
    Here's an example. Instructions follow the image:
    Start with a new, Blank word processing document.
    Insert a rectangle shape (the darker green is the default colour)
    Change the colour to your desired border colour, using the Fill Color well in the format bar.
    Set the Stroke to none, using the first popup menu on the Format bar. (I missed this step in the example, leaving the black line seen at the rigth edge of the pages.)
    Drag the handles to resize to shape to cover the whole page.
    Go to the View menu and choose Show Layout to see thae area that text will occupy.
    Insert a second rectangle shape on the page.
    Set its Fill colour to whatever bckground colour you want in the text area,
    Set the Stroke to none.
    Resize the second shape to fit just outside the text area indicated on the Layout.
    Select both shapes, then go Arrange > Group.
    Go Arrange > Move Object to Background.
    Go Format > Advanced > Move Object to Section Master.
    If either of:
    Go Arrange > Make Background Objects Selectable
    Go Format > Advanced > Make Maste Objects Selectable
    have checkmarks beside them,
    Select that item to uncheck it.
    The frame will now appear on every page in the section.

  • How to get rid of white border around Container Div (main box)?

    I have look and look for a solution but couldn't find one. I'm developing a website but the main issue is the white (I changed it black so you can see what I'm talking about)  border around the website when i go to preview it from DW to Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.
    I've tried everything! from setting body margins all to zero but nothing works... can anyone help me?!

    No that's not what I'm talking about, the black div bot on the top is what i put, I put the entire style.css code in my last post, I'm talking about the white border on the right inside the scroll bar.
    let me explain from the bottom, let say I don't put Margin: 0 under Body  in my style.css . I get a white (I made it Green to show you better) border around my entire webpage looking like this:
    so this made me curios because I wanted to know why it gave me this border without putting Margin: 0 under Body in my Style.css sheet. so i went to inspect element inside Google Chrome and saw this:
    I was shocked because it automatically added 8 px in Margin around the body. So I took all the advice i was given in this thread and put the Margin: 0 ; under Body in my Style.css Sheet and it did this:
    for Some reason it says Margin 0 in the inspect element under body but put a default white border there to the right....
    I have explained this the best way possible. PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME?!
    ps. its doing this for all browsers so i know it not a chrome issue!

  • How do I print multiple (4) photos on one page with a border around each?

    How do I print multiple photos on one page with a border around each? I've gone the contact sheet route and adjusted the number of columns but there's only outer margins and very little white space between the photos down the middle of the page.

    Ok, now I feel stupid! I always thought I was printing 6 x 4 but now I realise I can't have done!!
    The photos that I used to print are approx. 5.2" x 4" (i.e. 4 fitted nicely on a page & I had to cut the boarder off).
    I guess I just need to play with different sizes under the 'custom' option in order to get the biggest possible picture!

  • How can I create a white border around figures that are in an image? (CS 6; examples+image included)

    Hi,
    I have CS6 and am wondering how to create a white ("comic style"?) border around figures in an image, as in the examples below. I don't wish to include the black shadow of the border, just the white part.
    Examples:
    Here's the image I'd like to alter, making a white border around the outline of all five figures:
    I researched for quite a while but could find no instructions. It would be very much appreciated if someone knows and would be kind enough to share the technique! Thank you.

    If you make the image a layer (opposed to Background)...
    You could Select the blue with the Magic Wand as Semaphoric says, then fill with white.  Then choose Select - Modify Selection - Contract, and mask or delete the remaining pixels.  The Contract operation will give you a nice border the size you choose.
    For extra credit, you could use Refine Edge to make the selection more accurate.
    Click to see the image  against a dark background.

    I'd like to add a black border around the edge of certain images I'm printing. I know it's fairly trivial in Lightroom, but I can't see where this option is in Aperture. Is this lacking in Aperture, or am I just missing it? Many thanks.

    Thanks, Rich. That's a good plug-in, and does cover what I need (with lots of other features, too). The problem, though, is it requires an export of the image, which I then have to either print from another application, or reimport to Aperture to print. I was hoping to find something that will either just apply the border to the print job, or that would serve as more of an Edit With . . . type of plug-in than an Export plug-in, so I can keep everything in one place. Thanks again.
