GridBagLayout resizing while making the window smaller

Hi,
I am maintaing a Swing app in which the GridBagLayout is extensively used. The GBL is not my cup of tea, I'd rather replace it by one of the LayoutManagers I seem to be able to control, but GBL is all over the place and not easily replaced. Now for the question: when a window is maximized, the components are resized as expected (made larger), when subsequently the window is made smaller again, the components remain large instead of shrinking back to their normal size and scrollbars appear. Can anyone give me a quick hint or pointer where to start looking in the docs or code to control shrinking?

Other windows in the same application do behave better, although most of their components remain at their original size.
The window is being repainted as scrollbars appear when made smaller. I really would like to experiment with some settings on the constraints but I lack understanding of what parameters control the shrinking back to the "normal" size.
I'll be checking the min/pref and max sizes settings.
The fill parm is set to BOTH...
As to an SSCCE: it is all part of a rather baroque collection of interdependent customized GUI components, I did not invent them but I have to deal with them. If any means of controlling the shrinking exist I'll happily read up on them and excersise the option in my app myself but so far a lack a starting point...

Whoa, I found the answer by clicking on one of the questions in the "More Like This" box to the right. I do wonder how to find that box before posting my dumb question. The answer turned out to be checking the youtube volume control. I turned that up and it solved the problem for Comast as well.

Last night when i tried to sign a document i received the mesage below and after that it says this document can't be signed what can i do to fix this problem.

I assume you are implying "biztax" application here, right?
I have contacted their program lead, with no result at all.
Past days I have been searching for a solution - reinstalls / new systems - no solution.
This issue appeared a week or two ago only.
I found http://forums.adobe.com/message/5338853 useful - but no positive results either.

If anyone finds a solution to this issue, please do let me know - any help is appreciated.
Biztax tells to use the "signature", not the "authentication" - but it is only Auth. that is showing up as option to sign (that works)
ps, did you fiddle with the Adobe Reader XI security settings and import that PKI etc as well? I hoped that would be the breaktrough. Sadly i'm still crying in my chair.
Oh, and dont forget: they claim nobody else got this issue. Maybe one or two people. (We got about 8 customers experiencing exactly the same symptoms at the same time )

I can't test hands on, but you might be able to clear that OSX "fog" using a rule such as:

This could be applied using the Stylish extension or by creating/editing a userChrome.css file.

Automatic batch creation while making the UD

What I have understood is you need not to create batch number while posting the MIGO document and need to fire the batch number at the time of performing UD? If it is so then here is the solution:-
You can meet the requirement via so many ways but according to me the easiest way is, follow these steps.
Step:01 Copy the movement type 101 (use Trx OMJJ) create Z01. Where you need to select the option "No Creation" in the field "Create New Batch" in the entry level control.
Step:02 Use this movement type while creating GR, (change the std setting for GR against PO for trx MIGO)
Step:03 For movement type 321 - TF quality to unrest change the settings for the "Create New Batch" field from "No creation" to "Automatic / manual without check"
I think these will be enough for your requirement.
If there is any query pls revert.

Hi, original poster here. I did not realize this would generate more discussion so I never checked back. I still had my warranty, so I took it to the store and got it repaired. The original problem I had was a screen with this icon flashing when I attempted to boot it up:
When I took it to the store, they told me that my computer was unable to communicate with the hard drive. I had this same problem three times in two months where this screen reappeared. Each time I went back to the store and they said the cause was different, but they were all hardware issues that physically made it impossible to communicate with the hard drive. After the third time, they simply replaced my laptop and I haven't had the same problem.
So in short: The reason you can't reinstall or move anything when you encounter this screen appears to be because nothing can communicate with the hard drive in the first place. You can't reach the disk or anything on it. So I don't believe it's possible to do anything besides take it to a physical store and have it fixed.

Repair the Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard Console). However, worry about losing users and groups that be created by Windows SBS Console. As far as I know, those will not lose.
Since, when you create users and groups via SBS console, those are added to Activity Directory.
The SBS console is a GUI component, which makes it easy to configure and manage your Windows SBS 2011 Standard network. When you repair the SBS console, this component will be affected.
In view of your concerns, please back up before operation. It will help us to avoid some unexpected

As per the group policy it will download and notify the user to install, but we need the command or script to install it while rebooting

Hi,
The WMI Performance Adapter (wmiApSrv) service provides performance library information from Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) providers to clients on the network. This service only runs when Performance Data Helper is activated.
This service is installed by default and its startup type is Manual. When started in the default configuration it will log on using the Local System account.
You can try troubleshooting the issue using Clean Boot to check if the issue is related to third-party software.

Why does the text size shrink when I make the window smaller?

I have some notes in a DOCX page. I don't want the entire page blocking up the desktop yet I want to see the notes. When I change the size of the page, the text shrinks too. How useless is that?
How to I keep the text normal size and have a smaller page?
Everything I know I learned from my cat. No matter what the situation is, there is a napp for that.

When we I change the size of the page manually in Word 2013, the text won’t shrinks. I also resize the window via code below:

How to make the text resize to fit the window ?

Resize effect maintaining the window centered

I have a TitleWindow that I open using the PopUpManager.
PopUpManager.centerPopUp(paymentWindow);
I would like to apply a resize effect when I show the window.
<mx:Resize id="expand" widthTo="640" heightTo="480"/>
The problem is that the TitleWindow is resized from the upper left corner to the bottom right corner. So the popup is no more centered. How can I apply the same effect but maintaining the window centered in the screen while it is resized?

I entered in the 3rd window and i have made some changes but not saved.when i close 3rd window it is not giving any message like 'Do u want save changes?'after closing the 3rd window cursor will go to 2nd window.if i open 3rd window again it is propmting the message(Do u want save changes or not?).How can i get this message while closing the 3rd window?

Iis this the only code which you used to hide/display window?
Might be some navigation is happening in your form. Like if there is relationship between window2 and window3's block and when you access the window2 then you try to move to the next reocrd and then you are try to go to the WINDOW3's block.
Or there is any CLEAR_BLOCK built-in bieng use in you form.

Making the window blink

Hi,
I'm working on a Messenger-client-application. The gui is pure swing. I've got two questions that I can't seem to find answers for in the API.
1) When a message arrives I want to notify the user either maximizing or even better making the minimized window blink. How do you start the blinking? is it some kind of window-event?
2) I'm also using scrollpanes. How do I set the scrollpane to always display the buttom part of it's contents? This way I won't have to scroll down every time a message is appended to my JTextArea-outputarea.

Yeah, I figured I should probably post my findings even though it's to a question that's old. Hadn't seen anyone post an workaround that functioned at all.
I will note that with some digging in Process Viewer, it seems that a second copy of the iTunes.exe file is launched as a sub-process, performing some intensive operation, then quitting. It's this process that's grabbing attention. I'm not sure what it's doing, but it's probably related to library management, or some such. It seems to have a distinctive pattern - during "work", it launches about once every 20-30 seconds, processes for about 5 seconds with heavy CPU load, then quits. The launching of this process apparently grabs focus. It sounds like something in the launch code of iTunes grabs focus even though it will end up doing background work.
