Group By Operator and statistics operation

Hi all,
in my model from the data service I obtain these fields
sold_to (T)
delivery_date (D)
quantity (N)
zdiff_date (N)
zindex (N)
I have to present a table where I have a row for each SOLD_TO and in the columns I'd like to show the average values.
So the situation should be:
sold_to | quantity (AVG) | zdiff_date (AVG) | zindex (AVG).
For this I use the Group by operator where on SOLD_TO field I apply the Group1 and for the others fields I use the average operation.
My problem .... I don't see the results..... all the average fields are empty but if I apply the sum (for instance) I obtain the right results.
Where is the problem? Have you ever seen or tested this kind of situation?
Regards, Roberto

Hi,
I applied your suggestion but doesn't work for the AVG. Only for the total (SUM).
I have these records in input:
SOLD_TO        |  DELIVERY_DATE | QTY      | DIFF_DAYS   | INDEX
0000102004    |  02.01.2008           | 1500     | 7                    | 0,00467
0000102004    |  05.02.2008           | 1500     | 91                  | 0,06067
0000102004    |  05.29.2008           | 17,010  | 27                  | 0,00159
Group By Operator:
SOLD_TO (GROUP1)
DELIVERY_DATE (NONE)
QTY (AVG)
DIFF_DAYS (AVG)
INDEX (AVG OR STDDEV)
The results is
SOLD_TO        |  QTY      | DIFF_DAYS   | INDEX
0000102004    |               |                       |
But if apply the following Sigma for the Group by operator
Group By Operator:
SOLD_TO (GROUP1)
DELIVERY_DATE (NONE)
QTY (SUM)
DIFF_DAYS (SUM)
INDEX (SUM)
The results is
SOLD_TO        |  QTY      | DIFF_DAYS   | INDEX
0000102004    |  20,010  |      125           |  0,06693
Only with the total it seems to work.

  • How to Perform Group By operation in OBIEE 11g

    Hi,
    I have created a report for the "Nationality count in department wise manner", since for this i need to give 'group by department' for getting correct answer...
    But in OBIEE 11g on presentation service how i need to give "Group BY" operation....for viewing correct count in nationality wise......
    Regards,
    Harry...

    Hi sai,
    U mentioned, but i couldn't clearly able to understand that.......Since to perform Group By i need to make some setting changes in content in Advanced Tab setting like that it is mentioned, but i need to perform in the following manner
    select count(nationality), nationality
    from per_all_people_f, per_all_assignment_f, hr_all_organization_units
    group by department
    Note: per_all_people_f-----------> dimension table, per_all_assignment_f--------------> fact table
    nationality from per_all_people_f and count(nationality) from per_all_assignment_f
    But department is from hr_all_organization_units--------->dim table
    I dont want to see the departments but i need to group the result in department manner that i was taking from the table hr_all_organization_units.....
    How to perform Group BY in OBIEE 11g.......
    Thanks,

  • Huge Group by operation on Huge Table takes lot of time

    Hi,
    Pl find the below given process which takes of time in execution (approx 5-6 hrs)
    The mailn reason for this is
    1) It Fetch data from huge table partition (i.e 18GB data for per day)
    2)Performs Group by operations
    3)In the where clause Index is not there on destination_number so performs Full Table scan
    I have some idea i.e I need to change the Some Parameter which will make the process faster ,
    Can you please help on this
    create or replace table tmp_kumar nologging as
    SELECT c.series_num , subscriber_id , COUNT(1) cnt , SUM(NVL(total_currency_charge,0))total_currency_charge ,
    TRUNC(disconnect_date) FROM

  • SAP XI BPM Performance and statistics

    Hello all,
    I am currently working on an integration using the BPM process within XI.  During our initial testing, we noticed that, when it comes to the BPM process, XI takes too long to process a message.  The actual size of the payload is really small and there is not much to the BPM process.
    For example, I create one BPM process that takes a message and splits the message into separate documents for each target application and pass it on to another BPM process.  The second process takes the message and changes its format to what is expected by the receiving application.  It calls the target system and waits for a response.
    Sender     Recv'r     Begin       End        End - Begin
    SAPPRG     Split     11:29:46  11:31:01 74.810089

         Total                0:06:14  1.907142533
    We also noticed some gaps b/w a message been send and receive steps within XI.  I would like to know if there is any statistics on XI performance when it comes to processing messages within the BPM process and/or some documentation on how to improve performance using BPM.
    Please, advise
    Thanks..

    Hi,
    Checklist to use BPM-

    If you are using Correlation etc, then try to use Local Correlation. SO that you can avoid the scope of the correlation to the entire process. By default it will be for entire process. Even you can make use Block step and try to group related steps and give the scope of the steps for the block.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,

  • Logs and Statistics Page in Airport

    What does "rotated ccmp group key" mean on Airport routers? What do other saying mean on the logs and statistics page? Thanks helps alot

    Your signal and noise readings are excellent; these are numbers in decibel (logarithmic) scale, with 0 (zero) being the maximum; the signal levels reported indicate how much below the theoretical maximum signal strength you are receiving. As a point of comparison, as I type this right now I'm getting a signal of -45 db and a noise of -9 db. Rate, I believe, is in megabits per second (I'm showing 117 at the moment, though it often goes up to 130 or so).

  • How do i use an active directory group for vpn and not all user

    hi all,
    i have an asa 5515x...
    how do i use a particular group in active directory to have vpn/anyconnect access?  right now i believe it's for all user on my current config,
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    !integrate with active directory
    aaa-server LDAPSERVERS protocol ldap
    aaa-server LDAPSERVERS (vlan192) host 10.0.0.2
    ldap-base-dn dc=company,dc=com
    ldap-naming-attribute sAMAccountName
    ldap-login-password 12345678
    ldap-login-dn cn=administrator,cn=Users,dc=company,dc=com
    server-type auto-detect
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    say i want this "vpn-group" object group in AD and my vpn is only anyconnect and no other vpn types.
    thanks for any comment you may add.

    The best way is to use Dynamic Access Policies (DAP). Cisco has a white paper (here) that shows how one can choose the LDAP group as one of the DAP criteria.
    DAP requires the Advanced Endpoint Assessment feature, so your licensing must support that.

    Hi r,
    Make sure you close iTunes before shutdown.  And you're quite welcome.

  • ASA 5505 VPN Group Policies (RADIUS) and tunnel group

    I have a single ASA firewall protecting a small private developing network, and I need it in order to access remotely to two distinct network spaces both of wich are VLAN tagged: 1 is LAN and 3 is management. Each net has its own IP address space and DNS server.
    I'd like to set up Anyconnect to land on lan 1, and SSL VPN in order to see the IPMI and management websites sitting on VLAN 3. In order to make things "safer" I have found a free OTP solution, OpenOTP, and I decided to implement it on a virtual machine, setting up a radius bridge to allow user authentication for VPN. I can pass wichever attribute I'd like to using this radius bridge (for example "Class" or "Group-Policy" or whatever is included in the radius dictionaries).
    Actually all I need is quite simple. I have to segregate my remote users in 2 groups, one for Anyconnect, and one for SSL based on the radius response from authentication. (I don't need authorization nor accounting) I'm no Cisco Pro, what I've learnt is based on direct "on the field" experience.
    I'm using two radius users for testing right now, one is called "kaisaron78" associated to a group policy "RemoteAC" and a second one called "manintra" associated to a group policy called "SSLPolicy". "kaisaron78" after logging in should only see the Anyconnect "deployment portal", while "manintra" should see the webvpn portal populated with the links specified in the URL list "Management_List". However, no matter what I do, I only see the default "clean" webvpn page. This is an example of "sh vpn-sessiondb webvpn" for both users..

    As you can see, it seems like the policies are assigned correctly by radius attribute Group-Policy. However, for example you'll notice no vlan mapping, even if I have declared them explicit in group policies themselves. This is the webvpn section of the CLI script I used to setup remote access.

Do I have to disable both default tunnel groups and set VPN_Tunnel as default on both connections in ASDM ? I know I'm doing something wrong but I can't see where the problem is. I'm struggling since may the 2nd on this, and I really need to finish setting this up ASAP!!!!
    Any help will be more than appreciated.
    Cesare Giuliani

    Ok, it makes sense.
    Last question then I'll try and report any success / failure. In this Cisco webpage, http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa84/configuration/guide/asa_84_cli_config/ref_extserver.html#wp1661512 there's a list of supported radius attributes. Actually I'm using number 25 Group-Policy, in order to get the correct group policy assigned to users. I see, in that list an attribute 146 Tunnel-Group-Name. Will it work out for the purpose you explained in the previous post ? I mean, if I set up two tunnel groups instead of 1, 1 for anyconnect with its own alias and its own url, and 1 for SSL VPN again with its own alias and url, do you think that using that attribute will place my users logging in into the correct tunnel group ?
    Thank you again for your precious and kind help, and for your patience as well!

  • SSRS Report Group By Vertical and Horizontally with Detail Data

    Dears,
    I am expecting your help to achieve blow task in SQL Reporting Service. I am pulling data from a SharePoint List and my data set looks like below; and, I need to show those data in following layout;
    Group by: Destination and Week (vertical, horizontal)
    Detail : JobNo and VessleName (no aggregation and should show detail text data)
    How could I show that in SSRS Report? I tried Matrix and couldn’t get that layout yet; it shows me always 1st Job NO and Vessel Name for each Destination, not showing the rest.
    Kindly share with me guide lines attached is for your reference.

    I was trying your project with my real data and was not success.
    Also, when I check in details with my test data, I saw that Job2 is missing in your output.

  • Performance Problems - Index and Statistics

    Dear Gurus,
    I am having problems lossing indexes and statistics on cubes ,it seems my indexes are too old which in fact are not too old just created a month back and we check indexes daily and it returns us RED on the manage TAB.
    please help

    Dear Mr Syed ,
    Solution steps I mentioned in my previous reply itself explains so called RE-ORG of tables;however to clarify more on that issue.
    Occasionally,ORACLE <b>Cost-Based Optimizer</b> may calculate the estimated costs for a Full Table Scan lower than those for an Index Scan, although the actual runtime of an access via an index would be considerably lower than the runtime of the Full Table Scan,Some Imperative points to be considered in order to perk up the performance and improve on quandary areas such as extensive running times for Change runs & Aggregate activate & fill ups.
    Performance problems based on a wrong optimizer decision would show that there is something serious missing at Database level and we need to RE_ORG  the degenerated indexes in order to perk up the overall performance and avoid daily manual (RSRV+RSNAORA)activities on almost similar indexes.
    For <b>Re-organizing</b> degenerated indexes 3 options are available-
    <b>1) DROP INDEX ..., and CREATE INDEX …</b>
    <b>2)ALTER INDEX <index name> REBUILD (ONLINE PARALLEL x NOLOGGING)</b>
    <b>3) ALTER INDEX <index name> COALESCE [as of Oracle 8i (8.1) only]</b>
    Each option has its Pros & Cons ,option <b>2</b> seems to be having lot of advantages to
    <b>Advantages- option 2</b>
    1)Fast storage in a different table space possible
    2)Creates a new index tree
    3)Gives the option to change storage parameters without deleting the index
    4)As of Oracle 8i (8.1), you can avoid a lock on the table by specifying the ONLINE option. In this case, Oracle waits until the resource has been released, and then starts the rebuild. The "resource busy" error no longer occurs.
    I would still leave the Database tech team be the best to judge and take a call on these.
    These modus operandi could be institutionalized  for all fretful cubes & its indexes as well.
    However,I leave the thoughts with you.
    Hope it Helps

  • How to create a dynamic menu for each group of responsibility and  user

    Hi
    I am using Jdev 11.1.1.6 and new to ADF, my application require to populate menu which would be different for different groups of user, and the user in each group would have different submenu depends on their responsibilities assigned to each one of them.
    so on the top level would be menu_top_item1, menue_top_item2
    |-->submenu1_1 |-->submenu2_1
    |-->submenu1_2 |-->submenu2_2
    also the menu would need to be on_mouse_over to show the submenu items or collapsed back.
    any idea what would be the best approch? or is there any example around?
    thanks a lot

    You can use ADF Security to control access to menu options.
    More about ADF Security here:

    If you also use WebCenter you might use their menuing option:

  • Is it possible to group the dimensions and measures into respective folders in SAP BO Analysis office - excel?

    Hi Guys,
    We can group the similar dimensions or measures into folders in Universe which can be further consumed in other BO reporting tools.
    Is it possible to do the same while connecting AO with HANA?
    I want to group similar dimensions and measures so that it comes as respective folders in AO and makes the experience for the user better. Is it possible?

    Krishna Tangudu

    Hi Michael,
    Thanks for your reply. If this feature is not present or not in the roadmap too then i might have to follow the same solution as well.
    Hoping Tammy Powlas has some answer for this.

  • In a document library : group by view and manage metadata filter & Navigation problem

    Hi all, I encounter a problem when configuring a document library using a group by view and in combination with the Managed Metadata filtering and
    navigation :
    - all the documents appear under my group by, even the ones that does not correspond
    - In the other hand, the number in brackets shows the correct number of documents that should be shown
    See screenshot below.
    Did you already encounter that issue ? Is there a workaround ?

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to use a group by view and combine with the Managed Metadata filtering and navigation in a document library
    to show the corresponding documents with the correct numbers in SharePoint 2013.
    In my SharePoint 2013, I created a view which was group by two columns and combine with the Metadata Navigation Hierarchies and Key Filters some fields in a document
    library. As a result, it showed only items matching the filter values.
    So, I recommend that you can follow the steps to implement it in your environment.
    Step1: Enable Metadata Navigation and Filtering:
    Metadata Navigation and Filtering is a Site Feature that has to be activated for this to work.
    And, the Metadata Navigation and Filtering feature is enabled by default on most sites.
    If it is not enabled for your site, you can enable it on the Site Features pages for your site.
    You must be a Site Owner or a Site Collection Administrator to enable Metadata Navigation and Filtering.
    1. Go to “Site Settings” and click “Manage site features” under Site Actions.
    2. Find “Metadata Navigation and Filtering” in the Features list and click “Activate”.
    Step2:
    Configure Metadata Navigation:
    You must have a least the Manage Lists permission level to configure metadata navigation for a list or library.
    1. Open the document library for which you want to configure metadata navigation.
    2. Go to “Library Settings” of the document library and click “Metadata navigation settings” under “General Settings”.
    3. In the Configure Navigation Hierarchies section, select the field or fields you want to display in the navigation hierarchy and then click “Add”.
    4. By default, Folders are automatically displayed in the navigation hierarchy. If you do not want folders to display, select Folders, and then click Remove.
    5. In the Configure Key Filters section, select the fields you want to add as Key Filters, and then click “Add”.
    6. In the Configure automatic column indexing for this list, specify whether you want to automatically create indices on this list to increase the performance of the
    queries that users will perform when they use the Navigation Hierarchy and Key Filter columns you've specified. It is recommended that you select the option “Automatically manage column indices on this list”.
    7. Click “OK”.
    Step3: Set a group by two columns by modifying view in the document library:
    1. Go to the “LIBRARY” ribbon of the document library and click the “Modify view”.
    2. Click the “Group By” and select up to two columns to determine what type of group and subgroup the items in the view will be displayed in.
    3. Click “OK”.
    Step4:
    Go back to the document library, apply Navigation Hierarchies and Key Filters to do a test in your environment.
    The result will like as below:
    There is an article about how to apply Metadata Navigation Filtering in SharePoint 2013 for your reference.

  • Select from table in group of columns and generate a sequence number

    I have to select data from a table in group of columns and generate a sequence for every group resetting the sequence to start from 1 onwards.
    For example:
    Data:
    Col1 Col2 Col3 Col4
    A NA KA 2009-08-13
    B NA KA 2009-08-13
    C NA KA 2009-08-13
    A NA KA 2009-08-13
    B NA KA 2009-08-13
    A NA KA 2009-08-13
    Expected output from Select Statement:
    Col1 Col2 Col3 Col4 Seq_No
    A NA KA 2009-08-13 1
    A NA KA 2009-08-13 2
    A NA KA 2009-08-13 3
    B NA KA 2009-08-13 1
    B NA KA 2009-08-13 2
    C NA KA 2009-08-13 1
    How can this be possible with a SELECT statement? Is it possible to assign seq numbers for a group of columns and reset it when it changes? In the above example, all columns form the key to generate the seq number
    I know it can be done using Stored procedures and that is how I am doing it now by introducing a temporary table.
    Can anyone help me in this regard? Please let me know if the question is vague to understand!
    Thanks,
    Nachi

    select t.*,row_number() over (partition by col1,col2,col3,col4 order by col1,col2,col3,col4) from tYou can replace partition by col1,col2,col3,col4 with only columns that you need for grouping condition
    and also order by you can just do on the column you need.
