Group multiple Rows in to one

Hello Guru's
I have requirement where I have to show the Key figure value in one rows instead of multiple rows as shown below. The issue is Planned Time is being pulled from one infoprovider and Actual from Another infoprovider, In one of the infoprovider the values are posted as Not assiged and due to this the result in Bex are shown in two rows. A result (yellow) row on first characteristics sums up the results and shows correctly but requirement is row with Not assigned  values should show  but Key figure against it (Here 8 against Actual Time) should show on first row instead of second one. I have idea that this done using CKF's but not sure how to use them.  I will appreciate your help in this matter.

  • Depicting multiple rows' data in one row

    Hi All,
    Pls. check the below query:
    select manager_id mg_id, employee_id emp_id, last_name name from employees
    where manager_id = '100'
    and DEPARTMENT_ID = '80'if i run the following query, then o/p comes row wise; like below:
           mg_id           emp_id            name
           100             145                     Russell
           100             146                     Partners

           100             148                     Cambrault
           100             149                     Zlotkeybut if i want the o/p like below; i.e; under manager # 100, all employees' emp_id and name should come in only ONE row NOT in multiple rows:
    mg_id                   emp_id     name          emp_id       name       emp_id     name         emp_id     name                emp_id         name

    kindly tell me if there is any posting guidelines (except "Plain Text Help" on the right side) in this forum. i tried a lot to post above two o/p in easily readable format, but couldn't do that.

    [AskTom.oracle.com|http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/asktom/f?p=100:11:0::::P11_QUESTION_ID:2196162600402] shows several different ways to do it.
    You can format that one big column so that it looks like separate columns.
    If you want each emp_id and name in its own column, that's called Pivoting .
    Look up "pivot" for various techniques. If you do not know exactly how many rows were in the original query (and therefore how many columns you'll need in the output), then it will require Dynamic SQL , which can be complicated.
    Unfortunately, when you do search for "pivot", mlost of the hits will be things like "Search for pivot and you'll get lots of examples".
    Re: Help for a query to add columns is one that actually has some information. It was a question very much like yours.

  • 10GR2 - How can I load multiple row values into one field?

    Hi
    Can anyone please help with a problem I'm having with merging data.
    The source table has multiple entries for the same Id e,g,
    ID Code
    1 123
    1 234
    2 123
    2 567
    The output should only have one row per ID e.g.
    ID Code_List
    1 123;234
    2 123;567
    Do you know what operator I could use that would allow me to do this? I've looked at unpivot but I think I would need multiple output fields (one for each Code). I have to concatinate the codes and separate with a semi-colon.
    Thanks

    One way with 10g:
    select mgr,
           rtrim(xmlagg(xmlelement(empno,empno||',').extract('//text()')),',')  emps
    from emp
    where mgr is not null
    group by mgr;10g:
    -- define this function:
    create or replace
    function concatenate(c Sys_refcursor, sep varchar2 default null) return varchar2
    as
      val varchar2(100);
      return_value varchar2(4000);
    begin
    --  open c;
      loop
      fetch c into val;
      exit when c%notfound;
      if return_value is null then
        return_value:=val;
      else
        return_value:=return_value||sep||val;
      end if;
      end loop;
      return return_value;
    end;
    select mgr,
           concatenate(cursor(select empno from emp e where e.mgr=emp.mgr order by empno),',')
    from emp
    where mgr is not null
    group by mgr;With 11g:
    select mgr,
           listagg(empno,',') within group (order by empno) emps
    from emp
    where mgr is not null
    group by mgr;

  • Merging multiple Rows in to one In Table.

    Hi Friends,
    In Our application we are maintaining one table which has 12 rows with 12 different values (All are Read only).
    Based On Some condition the number of rows changes. The maximum number of rows possible with diffrent vaues is 11. but as soon as the number of rows become 12 all the values become similar. means all the values are same. so what i want is, in this condition i want to display only one row instead of 12 rows. how can i marge those 12 rows..??
    Thanks & Regards
    Jeetendra

    I think you just need to break down the approach into two:
    1) basic merging of data based on the categories you mentioned. put them in an a Collection family object and merge from there.
    2) dynamic UI programming for the table
    That's what I see at least. Goodluck!

  • Selecting Multiple rows

    Ok I have three tables which two tables are one to one and
    the other one is a one to many. The one to one tables have all the
    data in one row and the one to many has the data in multiple rows.
    The one to many table (named county_notes) has notes about specific
    counties. The other tables (named county_bio and county_stats) have
    different information about each county. The three tables are
    connected by an ID.
    What I want to be able to list the county information and the
    notes about each county in the same report.
    For example:
    Record1
    County: Craven
    Phone: (252)123-4567
    Notes:
    Judy is nice
    John is mean
    The tables would like this:
    county_bio
    ID county_name
    1 craven
    county_stats
    ID county_phone
    1 (252) 123-4567
    county_notes
    ID notes
    1 Judy is nice
    1 John is mean
    Obviously the above tables are just examples but you get the
    idea of how the tables are set up. The problem is I can join the
    county_notes table to one of the two using tables, so that is
    problem one. Problem 2, Coldfusion separates each note into a
    different record. So I end up with record "craven" showing up twice
    (once with the note about judy, and once with the note about john).
    Here is the SQL that joins county_bio and county_notes:
    SELECT *
    FROM county_bio
    LEFT JOIN county_notes
    ON county_bio.ID = county_notes.county_ID
    First how do I get all three tables connected? And second how
    do I get ColdFusion to print each note about the county in one
    record?
    Thanks for any and all help! I have been working on this for
    a few days and am out of ideas.

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! This was a big help. Forgive me for
    being new at SQL but can you explain why there is a ( ) around the
    inner join in the from statement? My only guess is it is some sort
    of subquery that joins those two tables together into one virtual
    table and then joins that table with the county_notes table
    creating one big virtual table.
    Am I even close?
    In this particular case, the brackets were not necessary.
    But, obviously they didn't hurt.
    The concept you are describing has many names. I call it
    joining to a subquery. Others call it creating tables on the fly or
    derived tables. The syntax is
    select stuff
    from a_table join (select etc) alias_name on a_table.field =
    alias_name.field
    etc

  • Expand & Collapse groups of rows like an outline?

    Is it possible to have a group of rows collapse into one as if it were an outline?

    There is no way to "collapse" a group of rows because there is no inherent outline hierarchy in them.
    However, you can create rows that duplicate any level of an outline structure, order rows below them as if they were elements of that structure, & hide whatever rows you don't want to see. Unfortunately, revealing hidden rows is an all or nothing process, so this won't function like it would in an outline.
    You can create something more like a collapsable outline structure by using the bullet options in the Text Inspector & checking or not checking the 'Wrap Text in Cell' option.

  • Multiple Flex Apps on One Page

    Now that I've been laid off from Adobe (along with 700 others), I would like to seek Flex consulting opportunities, and one possibility is with web designers/developers wishing to offer their clients value added components.
    My question is that I heard you don't want for example three separate Flex apps on one web page, as it results in three instances of the Flash Player generated, or something like that.
    So is it necessary to group multiple Flex components into one Flex app to each web page? This can limit placement of Flex components on a web page, because the web page will not be completely done in Flex, as the page must be searchable.
    Any insight on this, particularly from Alex and others on the Flex product team at Adobe.
    Anyone new to Flex needs help on Flex components/applications, I'm available: [email protected]
    Thanks!
    Greg

    IMHO, it is all about memory.  Lots of pages have multiple flash players running banner ads.  That's because those ads are small.  If you're going to stick a couple of really small flex apps on a page, I would expect most folks have enough computer resources to handle that.  Once you get more complex, your apps also likely take up more screen real-state and soon you're looking at a portal and probably should have one main shell that loads sub-apps.

  • How to pivot horizontally Author names, and group by Book title. One row per book with multiple authors

    I have 3 tables - Book, Author, BookAuthorReference
    A book can have multiple authors, and when I do straight query I get multiple rows per book
    SELECT <columns>
    FROM Book b, Author a, BookAuthorReference ba
    where ba.BookId = b.BookId and
    ba.AuthorId = a.AuthorId
    I want to get the results as ONE row per book, and Authors separated by commas, like:
    SQL 2008 internals book    Paul Randal, Kimberly Tripp, Jonathan K, Joe Sack...something like this
    Thank you in advance

    This can by done by straying into XML land. The syntax is anything but intuitive, but it works. And moreover, it is guaranteed to work.
    SELECT b.Title, substring(a.Authors, 1, len(a.Authors) - 1) AS Authors
    FROM   Books b
    CROSS  APPLY (SELECT a.Author + ','
                  FROM   BookAuthorReference ba
                  JOIN   Authors a ON a.AuthorID = ba.AuthorID
                  WHERE  ba.BookID = a.BookID
                  ORDER  BY ba.AuthorNo
                  FOR XML PATH('')) AS a(Authors)

  • I wanted to display the multiple rows in one row but column should be diff

    Hi
    Could any body help me regarding this query how to write to get the multiple rows in one row.
    eg.
    i have one table tab1(eno number,ename varchar2,uid1 varchar2,uid2 varchar2,uid3 varchar4)
    but when i am runing the query I am getting multiple record against one eno number because of uid1,uid2,uid3
    suppose value of table is
    eno ename uid1 uid2 uid3
    1 a u1
    1 a u2
    1 a u3
    when i am quering it is coming same as above but I want in one row
    eno ename uid1 uid2 uid3
    1 a u1 u2 u3
    can any onle help me how to write the query for this requirement.
    thanks
    saif

    which is hard coded in my code? Here another approach, but fail for c as there is no information for the value of a column: does 1 in u1 means col 1, etc.

  • How can i select some row from multiple row in the same group of data

    I want to select some row from multiple row in the same group of data.
    ColumnA
    Column B
    1                  OK
    1                   NG
    2                   NG
    2                          NG
    3                          OK
    3                          OK
    I want the row of group of
    ColumnA if  ColumnB contain even 'NG'
    row , select only one row which  Column B = 'NG'
    the result i want =
    ColumnA         Column B
    1                         NG
    2                   NG
    3                          OK
    Thank you

    That's some awful explanation, but I think this is what you were driving at:
    DECLARE @forumTable TABLE (a INT, b CHAR(2))
    INSERT INTO @forumTable (a, b)
    VALUES
    (1, 'OK'),(1, 'NG'),
    (2, 'NG'),(2, 'NG'),
    (3, 'OK'),(3, 'OK')
    SELECT f.a, MIN(COALESCE(f2.b,f.b)) AS b
    FROM @forumTable f
    LEFT OUTER JOIN @forumTable f2
    ON f.a = f2.a
    AND f.b <> f2.b
    GROUP BY f.a

    Hi Gena,
    When i execute the query with where clause, it gives me the output with more than one pool:
    Command> select pname, count (*) from table1 where pname='pool' group by pname ;
    < smcG3 , 18836 >
    < pool , 423527 >
    2 rows found.
    Command> select pname, count (*) from table1 where pname='pool' group by pname ;
    < intG302 , 17202 >
    < pool , 425159 >
    2 rows found.
    While if give use the having clause it gives me multiple rows for one pool only ( sometimes) :
    select pname, count (*) from table1 group by pname having pname='pool';
    < pool , 32686 >
    < pool , 420445 >
    2 rows found.
    select pname, count (*) from table1 group by pname having pname='pool';
    < pool , 393574 >
    < pool , 5838 >
    < pool , 110943 >
    3 rows found.
    Command> select pname, count (*) from table1 group by pname having pname='pool';
    < pool , 414590 >
    < pool , 8395 >
    2 rows found.
    Please suggest what can be done in this case, need i open a case with Oracle for this.

  • Passing multiple rows from one action to another

    Hi,
    I've build a Guided Procedure Process with two actions. Both actions call a Visual Composer Model (deployed as Flex).
    The Processdesign is:
    Process
    ---Block
    Action 1
    CO 1 as VC Model (Flex)
    Action 2
    CO 2 as VC Model (Flex)
    From the first vc model I want to pass multiple rows (its a vc table) to the second vc model. Therefor I've group the out-going parameters from model 1 with the in-coming parameters from model 2 at the block-level.
    Now, when I start my process I have two results in the table of  vc model 1 and will pass them to model 2. But only one record (always the first) is shown at model 2.
    Can you say me the reason for this? Have I configured the parameter-grouping false? Or isn't it possible to pass multiple rows at guided procedures?
    I'm using Visual Composer 7.0 and Guided Procedures 7.0 technology.
    Thanks in advance
    Claudia

  • How Do I Group Multiple Disks as One Album?

    I've got the latest iTunes update, 11.0.4, and as with the update before it, I'm supposed to be able to group multiple disks as one album, but I can't figure out how, and can't find any directions at Apple.
    I've lately begun ripping my large collection of symphonies and operas on CD into iTunes. Operas especially almost always come on two, three, or even four CD's, BUT IT'S ALL THE SAME OPERA, and the CD's come in the same boxed set. On top of that, there really aren't any "tracks" in an opera; the plot and the music unroll seamlessly from beginning to end (that sometimes takes 5 or 6 hours, which goes with the operatic territory).
    On my CD player, I'm used to a pause between disks, but now that I've figured out how to get the "tracks" on each CD to play in order on iTunes (not so intuitive), I'd like to be able to go from the last "track" on Disk 1 to the first track on Disk 2 without interruption, since the technology should be able to support that option.
    In the INFO box, I've tried keeping "1 of 3," "2 of 3," "3 of 3." No joy. So I've tried erasing the first element, 1, 2, 3, and just leaving the total number of disks. Again, no joy.
    Since the album name is often filled in with something like "Carmen [Disk 1]" for example, and since Albums should have exactly the same name so that iTunes can figure out that in fact, they belong to the same work, I've tried deleting '[Disk 1]" etc. on all 3, leaving just "Carmen" in the appropriate space on the INFO panel for each of the 3 disks. Doesn't work.
    Has anyone else been afflicted with the same problem?
    Has anyone got a solution?

    Have you seen this helpful article:
    Grouping tracks into albums:
    http://samsoft.org.uk/iTunes/grouping.asp
    In the INFO box, I've tried keeping "1 of 3," "2 of 3," "3 of 3."
    That is correct.  Don't   erase the first element, 1, 2, 3, that should not matter.
    Also correct.  Also chec, if the  "Sort album name" is the same.
    Do the artists differ on the tracks?
    Then set the "Album Artist" on all CDs to the same name (Various Artists), also check, if the album sort artists names differ.
