GTC FlatFile Reconciliation in 11gR1

I have configured GTC fLatfile Trusted Recon. I some how made it work, but I still don't understand few things in it:
- What are the required ATTRIBUTES? Do we have to configure "Design Console Access" attribute?
- In OIM User data what does "Role" and "UserType " signify? As of now I have mapped them to literals "Full-Time" and "End-User" respectively.
Am I right in assuming "End-User" means a normal OIM User and "End-User Administrators" mean users who have Administratives rights inside OIM.
- What do "USR_EMP_TYPE" and "USR_TYPE" signify? I couldn't fing much information from these filed lookups. How do I know where is the "Full-Time" and "Full-Time Employee" mapping done?

no User Type is different in data base it is usr_emp_type in DB where mapping User Type -> Role
Design Console Access- Xellerate Type(mapping) --- USR_TYPE(in db)
UI Label -> User Profile Mapping Attirbute -> Attribute in DB
Design Console Access -> Xellerate Type -> usr_type (Lookup.Xellerate.Type) --End-User, End-User Administrator
User Type -> Role -> usr_emp_type (Lookup.Users.Role) -- Full-Time, EMP...etc

I have a CSV which is a trusted source for users. I have configured GTC as below

I have mapped all the fields between staging & OIM (ie, made useid mandatory, other fileds as matching etc...)

in recon manager it shows Event recieved. But when i click on create user/reapply matich rules. it throws this error. I had followed configuring GTC several times, but every time I endup with same error.

Unable to configure Flatfile Reconciliation in OIM 9.1.0.1

Hello,
I am facing this weird issue with OIM in my new project. I have followed the below steps to configure the flatfile reconciliation using as a trusted source.
1. Transport Provider- Shared Drive
2. Format Provider- CSV
I have filled the location for the Staging Directory(Parent) and Archiving directory. I am using Cp1251 for File Encoding.
The problem which I am facing is that as soon as I move forward from the above step for Mapping, I do not see any fields under the Source and Reconciliation Staging
in Step 3: Modify Connector Configuration. What could possibly be the reason for this? The flat file is already there in the parent directory location before starting the configuration of Flatfile GTC. There are no logs generated for this for obvious reasons. It would be great if someone can reply soon as I have been facing this issue since yesterday morning.

I created a new flat file and a new connector. Now I am facing a different issue. The data is getting reconciled as per the reconciliation events and the Status is "Event Received".
Basic Mapping is;
login->User_login
firstname->First name
lastname->Last name
organization->Organization Name
User Type->Xellerate Type
Employee Type->Role
Password-> hardcoded as "abcd@12345"

GTC FlatFile Recon

Hi All,
I have performing the Flat File Reconciliation in OIM-11.1.1.5.0 , i am using the match regular Expression validation condition while mapping. i provided the value match regular expression ABCD . when i am passing values like DCBA the user creation is getting failed due to validation error . but when i am passing value ABCDEFG the user is getting created. I am not able to understand this behavior of OIM. can anybody please help me

my xl.defaultDateformat=yyyy/MM/dd hh:mm:ss z and source Date Format is given as yyyy/MM/dd(2009/01/25) and the date format in my flatfile is given as yyyy/MM/dd. But i still get this error.
I also tried with the following dates in flatfile
2009/Mar/25
2009/01/25
2009/March/25
Did I miss anything here!

Problem with GTC flatfile recon

Hi experts,
When i run Flatfile recon i get an unparsable error. my date attribtue in xl.defaultDatefomat yyyy/MM/dd but the dates in my flat-file dd/MM/yyyy is there any way i can fix this error?

GTC incremental reconciliation task.

Hello,
In our environment its not possible to have Timestamp Date field in HRIS oracle table.
Are there any other alternative solution OOTB or customized.
Environment: OIM 9.1.0.2 , Connector pack 9.0.x
HRIS has roughly 60K users.

OIM 11g : Flat-File Reconciliation using GTC Connector : Urgent

Hi,
Can you pls. help in creating an GTC for flatfile reconciliation.
I am using OIM 11g version, and i am struck when i create a try to insert a record into OIM.
Provided a flatfile in the below format:

Performed the mapping of data in the below format

password -> Password Generator
Also did the configuration on the OIM design console end.
I have taken guidance from the OIM release 9.1.0,

Now when i run the GTC connector, the job moves to running state and remains there for a long duration. The account is also not gettting created on the OIM end.

We have tried the option, of creating a new GTC, but that too didn't helped in solving the issue.
When we schedule the job, it moves to RUNNING state for a long duration and the below error is encountered. Can you pls provide some suggestion on the below error.

I would suggest don't map manager directly. and use 'Full-Time' instead of Full-Time Employee for role. or verify the lookup Lookup.Users.Role having Full-Time Employee as code key or not. if not create it for usage else you can just pass 'Full-Time'. as it will be compared with code key

Custom Connector - Reconciliation

Hi Gurus,
I need to write a custom connector for the target. I know the steps to be followed for provisioning.
Can someone guide me how to write the reconciliation tasks in this custom connector.
My schedule task should iterate over all the records, or oim will do iterate over the records. I am confused about this.

If you have "many" (more than 1 000 users or so) you should break up the user loading into chunks.
Take a look at this thread: Re: GTC incremental reconciliation task.
Start by breaking up the the recon into more manageable chunks of a 1000 users. In some cases you need to do leverage additional methods to stop OIM from gauging on massive amounts of user events.

OIM 11g : Flat-File Reconciliation using GTC Connector

I am using OIM version 11.1.1.5
below are the mapping used :
login -> User Login
firstName -> First Name
lastName -> Last Name
eMail -> Email
organization -> Organization
Employee Type -> Role
User Type - User TYpe ( note : OIM version 11.1.1.5 do not have design console access it has User Type avialable for mapping ).
also fallowed all the steps mention in few thred running in this forum but I am still not able to create user using FF file .
I am seeing the same error in the log as given below.

Make sure you checked onf of your recon fields as 'Matching Only'. If you do not pick one field for matching, GTC will not create any reconciliation rule for you.

Good Day!
Hi Folks!
I would like to ask if you can share some references or any documents which tackles on the development or creation of reconciliation rules for OIM 11GR1. Currently, we are trying to pull users from a SAP system and provision them to MS AD. Currently, we want to develop reconciliation rules such that we can avoid doing manual ad-hoc link.
Aside from the documentation guide, are there any other references there available in helping us to develop recon rules from a simple definition and from there maybe we can pick it up to define a complex one?

Well if for update type events you provide a blank value for mandatory fields, it will still process the event because OIM already has the value fed in for those fields at the time of creation. So it really does not throw those missingRequiredFields error. The only case when you can see those errors in update events is when you have checked the Required checkbox in the RO Attribute definition. So if you have not marked it as mandatory in the Resource Object then update event will not bring any error.

As you told that this is throwing the same error in Create/Update events both. So best would be to do a re-apply from design console and see what the exact error is. Now if its for create as well then as per *..375* it could be mandatory fields as well. Go to Reconciliation Manager, open up any event, click on Re-Apply Rules. Now see what the error is:
- If its says attribute * . . * provided does not exist in OIM like error then you are providing some wrong value for any OIM attribute *(Organization, Employee-Type or user-Type)*
- If it says Mandatory Values not Provided for User creation the you are missing some mandatory fields.

Reconciliation of User's Manager Field using GTC

Hi,
Could anyone suggest how to manage the reconciliation of Manager field of users using GTC.
As for the first trusted reconciliation of users , the manager value coming from the source would not exist in OIM, so if we map the manager field of source with manager field in OIM, it would fail, as the manager user doesn't yet exist in OIM. How can we implement this.

We have configured our GTC with the manager attribute mapped as well, in the sense, there are race conditions, manager user might not exist while OIM is reconciling and trying to create a user.
So, the recon event comes as Data Validation Failed. But eventually the users will be created and this Retry Failed Recon Events ST, which is OOTB will slowly resolve all the users as and when the users are created in OIM.
What happening is :- when i am running this Retry Failed Recon Events ST (as there are lots of failed recon events), OIM is crashing after every half n hour.
What i could see in logs is below:- Is this somehow related to CPU usage and Memory???

Any provider operation that occurs during that "end" or "clean-up" phase would have been executed e.g. Data archival. In case you want that data to be a part of next Reconciliation execution, restore it from Staging. Provider logs must be containing details about storage entities that would have been archived.
The column ID_USUARIO exists in the ADM_PRIVIL.USERS_OIM_TEST table.
