  • When Firefox is not minimised, there are problems with jamming sounds and FPS drops.

Hello, I have some issues, when Firefox is not minimised. When I watch movie on my BS Player or playing World of Tanks and I have not minimised Firefox (there is a window, no matter it is maximised or just window), there are visible FPS drops, but when I minimise the Firefox window, it works just fine. Also when I connect my laptop to my sound amplifier with 2.1 speakers, I can hear a jamming, hamming and whirling, also works fine, when Firefox is minimised. Is there any way to remove this? Its quite annoying. I tried to disable all addons etc., nothing worked. Thanks.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

  • Sudden jitter and fps drops in all 3D games

Hello! So I'm running Windows 7 on a MacBook Pro (13 inch, mid-2012 model) with Intel HD 4000 graphics.
Lately, I been experiencing sudden jittering in my games, particularly 3D-games-strangely, games like Bastion run just fine. The fps keeps going up and then quickly back down, ranging from 20 to all the way down to 12 or so. This is peculiar, because not long ago I was able to run games like Aion in medium to high settings, The Sims 3 in high settings, and Skyrim in low settings no problem, with no jitteriness whatsoever. The games seem to run smooth for about one minute before the fps drop occurs, with all affected games following the same pattern of fps drops-it goes from normal speed to a fast jitter, then normal speed again and repeats the cycle. It does not return to its normal fps, just keeps jumping back and forth. I have noticed that when this happens, the laptop heats up considerably and the fans spin a lot faster-this did not happen before with any of my games, so I do wonder if the best and only solution is to open up the macbook and see if the problem is internal or if there is anything else I can do. I've tried resetting the SMC to no avail-nothing seems to work. I've even re-installed Windows 7 and all of my games-nothing is working. At first I thought the problem was only exclusive to Skyrim until I opened up Aion (which I played a few days ago with no issues) and was greeted with the same drastic jumps of fps. If anyone can help me out with this and maybe offer a few suggestions, I'd love to hear them, because I'm stumped.

Spoke too soon-the problem is back again. It played nicely for about half an hour this time before it started lagging once more, both in Skyrim and Aion. Bastion is still fine, however.

  • MSI gt683r Overheating and FPS drops

Hi, My name is Jose Gabriel Kordahi Amair
Im a gamer From venezuela, and i just Bought a MSI GT683T with the
    following Specifications:
    Intel Core i7 2670QM
    Nvidia GTX 560M 1,5GB GDDR5
    12GB(4GB*3) DDR3
I bought it, cuz for the time and the avaible technology out there on
the market this laptop was at a great Price (on February 2012 at
    1350$)
I was not using it To much For gaming cuz i Got a hight end desktop,
this laptop was just for backup when that one fails.
Now im having problems with overheating, i have noticed that in some
scenarios that this laptop is suposed to behave  incredibly well it is
failing Like playing Battlefield 3, Dirt 3 and a Lot of more games and
    Hight end aplications.
On Idle, the CPU temperature Reachs like 58-65 celsius when it is on
ECO OFF and the CPU Frequency its at 2.2GHZ.
When im playing a game like Battlefield 3.  the CPU reachs
    Temperatures like 85-92 celsius.
I attached some screenshots Of this.
I have noticed that when this happens the the game´s frames per second
drop dramatically From 60FPS (with Vsync on) To 25 or 15 Fps for 30
or 25 Secs while the CPU gets a little bit cooler.
I know that the reason of the problem is the CPU temperature because
all the characteristics of the GPU remain the same.
I Did not upgrade or update any other driver than the GPU driver From
the Official Page from Nvidia hoping that this was the problem, But
    nothing Changed.
Now i want to know if there is any RMA service or a warranty or
Technical support to solve this problem.
Do i have to Update any driver? , is there any solution for this
problem? , because it makes the performance drops so bad.
So please I hope to have a response from you.
    Thx

  • GE 620DX heating and FPS drops while playing the secret world

I bought this laptop a month ago and everything works/plays well (LOL, Walking dead, HON, SC2 and Diablo 3) but everytime I play TSW on low (everything set to 0), my laptop becomes really hot like 85-89 gpu temp. It's hot that you can burn your fingers if you touch the vent. Is this normal or should I return it to the seller? Thanks!

If it has instabilities you should definitely return it to the reseller.
If not, it might just be some driver/game compatibility issue.
Can you check if you have the latest driver installed.

Also check on the website of the game if there are any patches available.

  • My SLi issue and what seems to have solved it.

I've had my new xpower  motherboard for a few weeks now.  From the very first day everything has worked with one exception.  When I put a second GTX 460 Hawk on the system for SLi problems began.  The first thing I noticed was the computer would take a long time to boot into BIOS.  Some unusual codes would be displayed.  Once booted up, sometimes it would reboot right away.  Other times it would seem stable until I tried to do something.  Doing something would cause graphic drivers to crash and then recover and then crash and recover again.  Sometimes this crash / recover cycle would result in a hard reset.
4 out of the 6 load indicator LED's on GPU 2 were always lit even when there was not supposed to be a load on the card.  The other two lights would flicker.  GPU 1's LED's would sometimes indicate a load and sometimes would not regardless of the actual load.  Once in a while things would stabilize well enough for me to actually play a game.  In Skyrim, I would get random crashes where the screen would go black, the GPU fans would slow to minimum speed, the sound would cut out, then there would be a pause.  After that the game would recover right where it left off as if nothing had happened.  Eventually the computer would crash and I'd have to turn it off and start it up again only to have a new set of random crashes and errors.
I removed the second card and messed around with the computer with only one card in PCIE slot 2.  This worked better but not perfect.  I saw strang FPS drops in games at random times.  Even turning all settings down to their lowest wouldn't fix this.  My FPS would drop to 4 to 9 frames and hang there for 10 minutes.  The cards usage as displayed by after burner would only be around 10 %.
Anyway, I was poking around the Internet, trying to find a way to describe this problem when I found a small bit about PEGO - Gen X.  This BIOS setting allows you to set your PCIE slots to a specific speed.  You can set them on the xpower motherboard for PCIE 1, 2, 3 or Auto.  Default is Auto.  So, GTX 460 Hawk's are generation 2 (PCIE 2) graphics cards.  I assumed the motherboard was "automatically" adjusting slots 1 and 5 (where my cards are plugged in) to PCIE 2.  Now it may have been doing that but at the very least not consistently if at all.  I set the PEGO - Gen X to Gen 2.  When I booted up the machine it was fast.  On both cards the LED load indicators only showed two lights.  Now I'm able to do things without any crashes or FPS drops.  Games are smooth.   Skyrim's FPS Is between 30 and 120.  The problem appears completely solved.  The thing I don't understand now is why the Automatic setting wasn't working.

Contact Bose. I have seen several posts from people having trouble with Bose devices.

  • Stuttering and synch problems after export to H.264

I edited some AVCHD video in Premiere Pro 5.5.0, rendered a 5 minute sequence, and exported to H.264 for Vimeo, using Vimeo's guidelines:
    NSTC
    1280X720
    29.97 fps (as shot)
    Progressive
    Square pixels
CBR 5 Mbps (tried VBR 1 pass and 2 pass as well, with no difference)
    Audio output AAC
    44.1 khz (from 48khz original)
    320 bps
bitrate precedence (tried frequency precendence first, no help)
The export plays fine in VLC player 2.0.1, but in Quicktime and after uploading to Vimeo, the audio plays well, but the video stutters and is mostly out of synch.
If it makes any difference, MacBook Pro, 9Gb RAM, Mac OS X 10.7.3
    Any ideas?

Well this is weird, and a likely candidate for the Journal of Irreproducable Results. I deleted the videos from Vimeo last night just before I posted to this forum. I then shut down the computer for the night. Booted up this morning, and the H.264 export played fine in QuickTime, and in VLC. So I uploaded it again to Vimeo here: https://vimeo.com/40655208 (password protected, by the way, intended for my client's approval. PW = DIYEFT) and it now seems to play fine.
To say I'm puzzled doesn't begin to describe it. If my internet connection had been slow last night (Time Warner cable, not the quickest out there) that might help explain the sutttering on Vimeo, but it wouldn't explain the similar stuttering in QuickTime.

  • GTX560 Ti TF2 fan noise

    Hi,
    I have a GTX560 Ti TF2 (non OC version).
Now that I replaced all the fans on my case to quiet ones, I noticed that the card fans make a weird but very annoying noise, but only between 40% and 45% (the minimum).
I made my own OC and I only apply when I need it, so all I want is to know if is there a way to decrease the minimum fan rotation on afterburner.
Or a bios that JUST change that option, nothing more.

You can ask MSI about a possible VBIOS change for your specific model. They released a silent BIOS for the N560GTX-Ti Hawk which I believe reduced the fan speed to 30%.
I questioned MSI about my own GTX 560 for a similar but was advised that applying too low a voltage for my card will indeed stop the fan from spinning. This was tested by them.
Therefore it was decided to maintain 40% fan speed for my model.
    >>How to contact MSI.<<
    Alternatively RMA the card.

  • NX8800GT 512MB Shows huge momentary and cyclical drops in FPS

Hey guys, i am the brand new and proud( i think) owner of a NX8800GT card; but sadly things are not going so well for me in that department. The thing is that ALL games i play, even at low resolutions and doing things like staring at a wall; have cylical drops in FPS. What i mean is that games play great at first, but after a few seconds a cycle starts where the FPS drops and the card makes some noises(nothing major, meaybe the fan speeding up). But the thing is that after each cycle, the FPS go back to their original number. So this is very anoying while playing, i mean one second you are in awe of your game and the next you can barely play it. Here are my specs:
    E6750 4MB 1333 FSB(overclocked to 1400)
    MSI P6N SLI PLATINUM
    2 x Kingstone KVR800D2N5K2/2G 2GB
    NX8800GT 512
    Raixmax RS9-SE Case(pretty well cooled)
    2 x Sata Hard Drives
    1 x DVD/RW Dual Layer
750 Generic PSU(seems to be ok, both 3 pin entries on the card are connected)
First i though the card was overheating, since the fan seems to speed up when that happens, but i checked and the card seems to be cool enough not to cause any problems(70 celcius at the most, but i still need more checking on this) Well needeless to say i've tried every nvidia driver known to man and google right!
The thing is when i first installed, allthough i didn't have time to do any major benchmark, i never notice this while playing Crysis at full for like 10 minutes. It all started when installed a lot more driver/utilities stuff on XP. So i am thinking new OS instalation, but i'd like to avoid this since i have very little time to do it. I also tried to underclock it to factory standards uing corecell application, but i noticed no improvement whatsoever.
I don't think it's a hardware issue, but i am worried nonetheless. Other thing i noticed is that the 650I drivers for the mother are not up to date, but i hardly thing this could cause any issues; everything else is on it's last version. In any case if you guys have any experience to share on this, it will certainly come in handy. Thanks in advance!
    reynanuy

Hey guys you WILL NOT believe what the fracking problem was! I tell you it's incredible, i am laughing like a maniac right now!  Remember when i told you i had installed Crysis and played without problems on my first system boot, well the second game i tried was Medal of Honor: Airborne. You see at the time the game made my pc reset, strange yeah but not something i would qualify as cathastrophic. However the game was heavily lagy for me and had that same fps drop that would make my life miserable for the next two weeks. You see as a last-ressort-out-of-nowhere i just came up with the idea to reset the CMOS; and thanks to my shiny P6N's CMOS reset button, voila Crysis was working like wonders! After i recovered from the shock and that little piece of me who had died came back from the dead: Then i said "ok, the most afected game by this issue was MOHA so let's try it to make sure the issue is resolved". I installed the game and atempted to play it ... BSOD(with some crapy message) I restart: Crysis running like crap again!  That's the issue, that's the fraking issue! It seems that the fraking game fraked up my CMOS!!!!!  Can't tell how and most of all, can't tell why the hell, but that's the hard cold truth. EA ruined my life for 2 weeks! How do i get back all those hours of sleep!?!? In anycase i've just tried both games for like 15 mins each and they are running great, so i think this is resolved ... whatever it was! But it's shocking to know that a game can screw up your firmware. I am thinking on going over to EA boards and complain about this, i mean come on! This should not have happened! Neither to me nor to anyone. In anycase you guys have any Know Issues over here so i can post the solution? I feel like other poor soul like me might have this issue in the future and i would like to save him/her the excruciating pain( ) i had to endure. Well in anycase this reminds me of the myst's ending (great movie by the way), luckily i never gave up until the end!

  • ITunes Stream Stuttering and Crackling Noises (Temporary Work Around Option

Note: If you don’t take the time from your busy schedule to address these suggestions being provided in this and future upcoming series, then by all mean continue with what you were doing before and continue to experience the frustrations and problems. The series is not meant to be a cure-all for the problems you are having. But the information will go a long way toward correcting and improving a lot of issues that you may be having with your system. Think About It !!!!!!!!!!
I listen to the radio a lot using the iTunes player as well as listen to music that I have transferred to the player. When a problem occurs it aggravates me to no end especially if it is occurring when I am try to relax to my music. At times I am also experiencing the stuttering and crackling issues in the 7.0 update that has been recently released. The following information can be useful in temporarily correcting this problem until Apple comes up with a patch to resolve this issue. If you choose to proceed with implementing this information then you assume any liability that may occur during your attempts at using and applying this information. This information has so far suited any needs that I may or am currently having to date personally.
1)Quick Time Preferences – In the Quick Time Preferences\Audio tab check to make sure that the settings are at the default level. Your platform may reflect a different khz Rate. On my platform my default level will be the following:
    Rate: 44.1 khz
    Size: 16 bit
    Channels: Stereo (L R)
When I listen to my music I like a good quality stereo sound so I have my audio sound routed from my laptop to my CD or Video jacks in the back of my stereo. Stereo System: Pioneer SX 251R Receiver. External Speakers: 2 - 8 ohm Yamaha.
Make sure the Safe Mode box is unchecked. Close the Quick Time player. Now, when you begin experiencing the stutter problem there are two immediate steps that you can try to correct the problem:
1)Stop the stream or the music that you are listening too and restart the service each time that the event occurs, (In my case the events that have been occurring has not been consistent when they do occur. Close monitoring in place on all connection ports. Running Snap In’s deployed: IPSec Monitor/MMC Console– Currently monitoring IKE and IPSec Statistics for any changes. To run this snap in properly the Event Monitor must be in the running state and actively logging events in the Administrative\Event Viewer Folder) I will also be configuring Dr Watson to generate a Stack and Dump file log to the desk top in the event of an unexpected occurrence. or,
2)If that does not correct the problem then try the following: Go to the My Computer folder and open it up. When you have done so, Right click the Local Disk and enter the Properties section. When the Local Disk Properties box comes up, enter the Tools tab, in the Error Checking section, place a check mark in the “Automatically Fix System Errors” and click start\yes. Back out of that and close all running programs including firewall in the tray next to your clock and reboot the system.
Once you have rebooted run the Disk Cleanup utility and the Disk Defragmenter utility. While we are using the Disk Defragmenter lets take an extra step to insure that we defragging the hard drive volumes as much as possible. Click on the analyze button a second time. If there are any entries in the box highlight the first entry and run the Defrag utility a second time.
Tip! If you would get in the habit of running defrag process regularly on a daily basis it will help improve the overall baseline performance of your machine.
Last Step: Open your player and try again.
If you are still experiencing the problem and it hasn’t leveled out to your satisfaction then there are two additional steps that I have personally used or am currently using that may help with your issues. The steps will involve installing a small batch file program and a hot fix patch.
User Profile Hive Cleanup Service– (Batch Program) Open your Browser and type in the following address: www.microsft.com once the page has loaded look for the search bar in the upper right hand corner of the page. In the search bar type in the following: “User Profile Hive Cleanup Service”. Once the search result page comes up click on the first result to bring up the proper download page. Before you can use this batch program you will be required to go through a short validation process before you can download the program. The validation process is to ensure that you are running a genuine windows platform.
    Overview
The User Profile Hive Cleanup service helps to ensure user sessions are completely terminated when a user logs off. System processes and applications occasionally maintain connections to registry keys in the user profile after a user logs off. In those cases the user session is prevented from completely ending. This can result in problems when using Roaming User Profiles in a server environment or when using locked profiles as implemented through the Shared Computer Toolkit for Windows XP.
On Windows 2000 you can benefit from this service if the application event log shows event id 1000 where the message text indicates that the profile is not unloading and that the error is "Access is denied". On Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 either event ids 1517 and 1524 indicate the same profile unload problem.
To accomplish this the service monitors for logged off users that still have registry hives loaded. When that happens the service determines which application have handles opened to the hives and releases them. It logs the application name and what registry keys were left open. After this the system finishes unloading the profile.
Once you have downloaded and installed the batch file close all running programs and reboot. Now, ‘This is important”, lets determine if the batch file is properly running after installation. Go to Start\Help and Support. Once the Help and Support Center comes up click on the following link: “Use tools to view your computer information and diagnose problems” under the “Pick a task” section. Once the page has been loaded in the left hand pane click on the “Advanced System Information” link. Once that page has been loaded click on the following link: View detailed system information (Msinfo32.exe).
Once the System Information box is loaded look in the left pane and open the Software Environment Tree and click on the following link: Windows Error Reporting. If the batch program is properly running you should see the following entry: “User profile hive cleanup service version 1.6.30.0 started successfully
&#x00a”. The ending symbols may be different on your platform.
Now, we want to go to another location in your system to verify this entry and that this service is properly working again. Pull up your “Control Panel” and enter the “Administrative Tools” folder. Once there enter the “Event Viewer” folder. Then enter the “Application Folder”. If the service is properly working the following entry will be logged: User profile hive cleanup service version 1.6.30.0 started successfully, Event ID 1001. If for some reason this program is not functioning properly a different error code other then the Event Id 1001 will be generated and logged in this folder. Also if one is generated you will want to verify if it’s a genuine error. To do this you need to go back into the help and support center Advanced System Information link and click on the following link: “View the error log”. If anything goes wrong a corresponding general entry that was logged in the Event Viewer will be logged in this link verifying that a problem had occurred. All of the information in the logs will be useful in your trouble shooting efforts. To date I have not had any measurable conflicts to occur while using this batch program to date. Closing Overview: when this program engages it will target itself at the Kernel System only at shutdown and startup. A corresponding entry will be made in the folders that I have described above stating that the program had started or failed.
System Restore Feature and USB Device’s – Event Viewer\System and Application Folders\Event ID SR 1 (Hot Fix Patch) – I have noticed that some folks are loading and unloading iTunes in attempt to correct problems. Also, I see by the forum board that a lot of folks are having a lot of problems with their iPods. Think about this for a moment, iPods will have their own unique set of drivers to operate from. I am going to attempt to explain an experience that occurred with me last year on this issue. When working with USB Devices it is important to keep your eyes on the Event Viewer folders for the following event id being logged: Event ID SR 1. This is especially true if you are using your System Restore Feature. The main folders that you want to keep your eyes on are the “System\Application” folders.
I have not witnessed any specific Software Applications generating this code in general at this point in time. But when it comes to Software and USB Devices I have personally experienced a situation that did cause a SR 1 entry last year. Example: My wife has Sevier medical problems. When we travel I keep a USB Flash Drive on my key chain with her medical information installed in case of an emergence. The Medic Alert E-Health Key was a new device that came out that had bugs that needed resolved just as with iTunes 7.0. The short of the story is that the flash drive was conflicting with the System Restore Feature, which led to additional problems such as conflicts in the Add/Remove Utility. I could not properly unload the Uninstall .Dll files when trying to uninstall the flash drive itself using the Add/Remove Utility. During a conversation with a Microsoft Support tech I was informed that other unloading issues had also been identified in the Add/Remove Utility. I could be wrong but I think there is a patch available that would help with unloading issues while using the Add/Remove Utility. To keep an eye on any possible loading/unloading issues that I may have while using the Add/Remove Utility, I use the following program to determine if there any issue’s that I need to deal with: (30 Day Trial Program-Fully Functional)
    http://www.mikasalonen.com/remove/?remove40
Program Name: Remove 4.0. All of the information you need to know about this program will be summarized in the provided link. If anything: USE IT !!!!
NOTE: This SR 1 patch is only a temporary hot fix. They are suggesting that we wait until the next Windows XP service pack release that contains the hot fix.
    Article Id : 888402
    Last Review : June 01, 2006
    Revision : 1.5
Also keep this in mind. The only time that you want to become concerned about the SR 1 issue is when you notice an increase in the number of SR 1 entries in Event viewer logs. If you are logging two (2) or more events then I would begin investigating the problem. Again, In my case the System Restore Feature was identified as the initial cause of conflict when the conflict first occurred when loading the USB Flash Drivers. So, if you suddenly notice this entry in the Event Viewer then you can pretty much bet that you are experiencing a USB issue that is conflicting with the System Restore Feature. But there is a Hot Fix available to temporarily resolve this issue as I have stated. Go back to the Microsoft link that was provided. When the page loads, in the search bar in the upper right hand corner of the page type in the following KB 888402. Be Advised – if you have to resort to this measure you will have to contact the Microsoft Support Team directly by phone to receive this patch.
When you talk to the tech you will need to provide the following information: A brief description if the Event being generated in the Event Viewer as well as a brief description of the problem that you are having. Once the tech has verified the information he/she will e-mail the hot fix to you in a zip folder if I’m not mistaken.
    System and Third Party Drivers
Drivers can be another source of conflict that can have a direct impact on how your system operates. I have already given you an example of this in the System Restore/USB Devices section. They can also cause unexpected stability issues. In addition to that malicious Root Kits and Trojans can download drivers on your hard drive without your knowledge further complicating matters. So, before I close this information out let me show you how we can quickly gather and display a listing of all drivers that are currently installed on you hard drive by using a very simple program. (This program will be a 15-day Trial program).
    Program Name: My Drivers 3.11
With this program you will be able filter out all preinstalled drivers that came with the system at the time of purchase, thus exposing the remaining Third Party drivers and as well as the Unknowns. If you know what your doing I would take this time now and disable the drive(s) in question if removal procedures are deemed necessary once you have obtained the driver listing. My overall objective with this program is to immediately determine if there is anything out of the norm with the drivers overall.
A download link is unavailable at this time. The web site appears to be under construction at this time.
As a final step on this issue I suggest keeping an eye on the Device Manager for any sudden “Yellow Warning Symbols” appearing within the Device Manager Tree Structure.
Print this information off and us it as a reference point. Any new helpful hints that I can think of will be posted as soon as I can squeeze the time in.

  • Stuttering and lag during playback  when hooked up to TV

    Hi,
I recently bought the monoprice mini display port to HDMI adapter for connecting my MBP to my HDTV. I managed to get everything connected without too much problem, but once I started playing HD content through iTunes I noticed that there was substantial stuttering and lag. If I disconnect my computer and watch through the laptop monitor there doesn't seem to be any problem. The strange thing is that my wife's 3-year old macbook doesn't seem to have any problem playing back the same content on our TV using a DVI to HDMI cable.
I've tried using both video chips. If anything, the 9600m GT chip seems to produce MORE stuttering, rather than less. Perhaps I'm dealing with a heat problem here?
Has anyone had similar problems? Any workarounds? I've tried both the 1080 and 720 settings- there wasn't much difference.
    Thanks.

Thanks, however, I have the correct NTSC setting and I am plugging into the correct jack(s) on the tv but all the pictures are black and white.

  • Confused - whats the difference between K8N Neo4 SLI Platinum and Diamond??

MSI web page says the Diamond has:
"Silicon Image's SATA RAID supports another 2 SATA II ports. Transfer rate is up to 300MB/s."
    http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=638
their Platinum page doesn't list the Silicone Image raid as a feature on the Platinum.
I have K8N Neo4/SLI Platinum and it has the Silicone Image raid - I'm using it now.
    Can anyone explain this?
Another question:  for both boards it shows:  "NV RAID (Software) - - RAID function available for ATA133 + SATA HD drives or 2 SATA HD"
How can the Raid fuction work for ATA133 drives since the cables for SATA and PATA are different?   What do the mean Raid for 133?
    Thanks!!!
    Tony

  • Macbook air July 2012 airplay with video stutters and stalls

I have Mountain Lion installed on my base model 13" Macbook air 2012 and airplay is stuttering and stalling when playing video in VLC and mplayerx.  I've got a belkin n600db router and the 3rd gen apple TV (latest software).  Is anyone else seeing similar issues?

I've got the same problem.  Late 2011 17" MacBook Pro mirroring to 2nd generation AppleTV (720p) over AirPort Extreme supporting 802.11n.
I agree with your Apple "hope" and the sooner the better.  AirPlay mirroring was the single largest motivator in getting Mountain Lion.

  • Quality and FPS amazingly low.

We are using FMS 2 for our website. We are trying to create a
simple browser-based video chat application. We have set everything
up and we set the options so that the application is allowed to use
the maximum bandwidth available and deliver the highest quality and
FPS possible. Despite all these optimizations FPS is like 1 frame
per second! We know for sure that there is still unused bandwidth!
Any ideas what would be the limiting factors decreasing the quality
of live video and audio chat?

I just ran into something where if I had high quality video going out (Camera.setQuality( 0, 100 );) and no audio, I'd get splendid video. However, as soon as I added audio, my video quality plummeted and looked awful. Since I was using the max bandwidth and highest quality, I was perplexed. After much experimenting, I found that just limiting my quality a bit (85 instead of 100) quickly yielded much better results. I think the high quality video and the default quality audio are too much for a stream to handle and so it kicks the video down a flight of stairs. But if you ease back on the quality, it doesn't get upset and it doesn't degrade your video quality. That's my experience, at least.

  • Gaming App dont work. very big drop with core speed and fps.

hello. I recently bought MSI R9 290X 4GB gaming and when i install MSI Gaming app and try to run it it shows me "The platform does not support this application.
second when i play or test it 1080p the fps stick to 60 and more but when in game loads of people go in to one place and start fight with boss the framrate drops to 10-18 fps and GPU core speed drops from 1030MHz to 500-600Mhz. How its posible with graphic card allmost from top end in 1080p ???

The CPU stick at max temp 64 its watercooled with 2xnoctua coolers at radiator btw it sits in fractal ARC XL so Airflow its masive in this case 2X140 Fans front 1x 140 bottom 1x 140 exh in the back at top is that rad with noctuas. with all other games is no problem Tomb Raider at full detiles 60+fps midle earth shadow of mordor the same full detiles and its smooth with high fps and gpu core speed stick to max only in GW2 it shows only when its many ppl in the same place during fight with boss the fps drops so low to 10 and gpu core speed drops too like i say before. The fight looks like in link, during normal play fps 30-80 its strange too.not with graphic card like this.i didnt try this from cd cose i dont have and dont use cd-dvdrom.i will try to get them from cd and check.
