GWG assets values less 1000 Euros,  new tax germany 2008

Hi,
is there anyone in the space, who solve the low value problem for GWG assets with a value greater 150 and less 1000 Euros for the year 2008?
Heomz-Jürgen

Hi,
we followed the instructions in SAP note 1082378:
- creation of a new asset class for low value assets
- creation of a new depreciation key (linear, 20% over 5 Years)
and used the proposed values for the different valuation methods.
The result for the cumulated depreciations of every of the 5 years was correct, but the value was evenly spread over all periods of the fiscal year (fiscal year variant K4). We need a depreciation only once in the last period of the FY.
We tried to adapt the procedure described in note 1082378 (change of differnt parameters of the valuation methods), but the result was always wrong.
Do you have any idea to fix this problem?
Thanks and best regards
Klaus

  • Asset Value less than 5%

    Dear All,
we want the list of all assets whose value is less than or equal to 5% in the respective fiscal year,so that we can scrap those assets.
Is there any SAP Stand report/program available for our requirement,if so suggest.
If not, suggest any other work around like Query,Report Painter, etc  with details steps("Z" report,my client is not interested).

    .Hi,
Easier way is to execute the report S_ALR_87011963, download the data into excel and filter less than 5 or 10 percent value assets thru a formula.
Another option available is to use an additional field for computing NBV and call that field in the query.
Net Book Value = KANSW + KNAFA + NAFAG

  • How to upload two different asset values for Book & Tax Depre in FA

    Hello all
kindly let me know how to resolve a situation where we have different methods of calculating Depreciation. For Example SLM for Book Depreciation and Diminishing method for Tax Depreciation.
To calculate depreciation we use straight line method for book depreciation and diminishing value method for Tax depreciation. In this case, we have 2 different asset values to calculate book and tax depreciation.
Since SAP allows to upload only one asset value (Gross book value), I get correct book depreciation value but incorrect value for tax depreciation as the tax depreciation is calculated based on gross book value instead of net book value (gross book value less accumulated depreciation value).
    For Eg
    FOR THE FIRST YEAR
    BOOK DEPRECIATION:
    Asset Value = 1000
    Depreciation Method : SLM
    Depreciation rate is 10%
    Depreciation Amount = 100
    TAX DEPRECIATION:
    Asset Value = 1000
    Depreciation Method : DIMINISHING METHOD
    Depreciation rate is 15%
    Depreciation Amount = 150
    FOR THE SECOND YEAR
    BOOK DEPRECIATION:
    Asset Value = 1000
    Depreciation Method : SLM
    Depreciation rate is 10%
    Depreciation Amount = 100
    TAX DEPRECIATION:
    Asset Value = 850
    Depreciation Method : DIMINISHING METHOD
    Depreciation rate is 15%
    Depreciation Amount = 127.5
KINDLY LET ME KNOW HOW TO UPLOAD THE PAST DATA WITH TWO DIFFERENT ASSET VALUES (IE 1000 & 850)  FOR THE ABOVE.

  • Asset Value which are below 5000

    Hi,
I have one requirement for the Assets which are below 5000 Value, Asset should be depreciated 100% as on booking date. They are not OK with creating
either "Low values asset class or 100 % Depreciation Key". kindly let me know is there any other possible ways to achieve this?
    Thanks
    SV

    Hi SV,
I understood the requirement but my question is what is the issue in creating a new depreciation key because that is the most appropriate way? If I use any other depreciation key which is not depreciating the asset to 100% then for audit purpose it will be very difficult to justify it.
The only way of doing it without depreciation key is mass scrapping of asset using ABAVN. So either identify all those assets and mass scrap them or better create a new asset class for assets value less than 5000 currency units and mass scrap them.

  • FA-retirement-Asset value date and posting date are not in same fisc year

    Hello,
I would like to post retirement in the new fiscal year but with asset value date in the previous year so that NBV is calculated correctly. It is not possible neither in ABAON nor in ABAVN with any transaction type.
I always get message 'Asset value date and posting date are not in same fiscal year'.
Is there any way how to handle this?
    Thank you,
    Jan

    Hi,
I have tried this but the settings of our Depr keys works in the way. That if you use asset value date in the new month it will calculate depreciation for the whole month.
This means if I retire with asset value date 31.12.2008 - NBV will be calculated as at 31.12.2008.
If I retire with asset value date 1.1.2008 - NBV will be calculated as at 31.1.2009.
    Thank you anyway!

  • One asset value to be transferred into different new asset codes

    Hello,
I have one asset which has to be transferred into different new asset values. The instance as below:
    Old Asset: 1000
    Value: Rs. 10000
    Transferred into
    New asset code: 1100
    Value: Rs. 3000
    New Asset: 1200
    Value: Rs. 2000
    New Asset: 1300
    Value: Rs. 5000
How to proceed? I have tried in ABUMN with partial Transfer but unable to get the result. Need help.
    JK

    Hi,
This can be done through ABUMN only.
You have to post 3 transactions individually to that old asset.
For the first ABUMN transaction choode partial transfer and choose amount specification and enter 3000
For the second ABUMN transaction choode partial transfer and choose amount specification and enter 2000
For the last ABUMN transaction choode Complete retiremnet.(So the balance of 5000 will be transfered to the third new asset)
    Please check.
    Thanks,

  • Asset value for Calculation of Tax Depreciation

We have been told that many of the assets created as of 1/1/2008 have a different (lower) tax value than their beginning book value.  Book value is correct for standard book depreciation.     Is there a process to update the tax value of assets created in SAP similar to the transaction AS92 used to update values for Converted Assets?
It was suggested that we use the method of Unplanned Depreciation tcode ABAA with TTY 642/652 to change the tax value of the asset.  When I tested this I found the various tax depreciation methods were calculated based on the beginning book value for year 1 and not using taking the special depreciation into consideration until subsequent years.   This is using Depreciation Area 10, MACRS, Dep. Key M200.
Is there a better method of altering asset book value for tax purposes or a better way to alter the tax depreciation calculation so it takes Unplanned Depreciation into consideration during year 1?
    Current simplified tax depreciation example:
    Beg. BV $1,000
    unplanned dep posted $100
tax depreciation for year 1 $100
tax depreciation for years 2-10 $88.88
    The preferred depreciation is $90 years 1 - 10.
    Thanks for your assistance,
    Jeff

I think I had the cart before the horse on this problem.  The correct way to look at this is what is the best way to get the correct "Net Book Value" and not the correct tax depreciation posting as it never actually gets booked.
By knowing the incorrect Beginning BV, the rate depreciation is applied in year 1 and finally the desired Net BV value at the end of year 1 for tax purposes I am able to calculate the correct Unplanned Depreciation for tax to make everything work out correctly.
    correct beginning tax BV $1,200
    Beginning Asset Book Value $1,800
    depreciation $360 (20% of BV)
    Unplanned depreciation  $?
    Net BV for tax at end of Yr1  $960 ;  or  1,200 - (1,200*.2)
With the know values above that makes my unplanned depreciation for Yr 1 to be $480.  Year 1 and all following years depreciate correctly after the Unplanned Depreciation is posted.
I am marking this as resolved unless someone sees an error in my thinking.
    Thanks,
    Jeff

  • Mid 2010 Macbook Pro +1000 Euro repair costs (no external marks)

    Hello together,
I am looking out for some advise. My mid 2010 Macbook Pro 15inch with an anti glare display just got a new logic board. I paid more than 500 Euro at a Premium Reseller called mStore in Kiel (Germany) to replace it, because the display stayed black after booting. My Macbook didn't even have a single external mark or scratch on the housing. I accepted it and said to myself if it is working again, it is alright. But less than two month later a vertical line is drawing from the top frame to the bottom (see photo). The line is narrow, it is just one pixel, but it is really annoying because it is always in sight. I went to the same reseller and asked what to do, they recommend a second repair attempt for again 500 Euro. In less then two month I cannot afford +1000 Euro for a laptop with an actual value of about 1100 Euro.
What is the best thing to do now?
I am really disappointed by Apple's quality. I am 24 years old and everybody in my family is using Apple computers since I can think back. The first time I could call a Mac my own was when I was 13.
When I graduated from school I was 19 and worked in a hospital to finance a new iBook G4. I had this one for about four years and it has been traveling with me through New Zealand and Asia for more than a year. I never had any issue with it, even when I dropped it from the top bank in a dormitory. It is still alive and working fine.
When I started studying the time came to buy an Intel Mac (15'' Macbook Pro, anti glare) and again I was very happy with the quality. I have also been a huge advocate for Apple products and was confidently suggesting them to friends and family. But today I feel disappointed by the brand.
    Best
    Marco

I had the same problem on a display MBP 15" in 2010, and it is a  display problem recognised by Apple.
It was covered by the warranty.
If you do nothing, the number of vertical pixel lines will increase over  time.
Good that Apple helped you out of this problem.

  • Problem in Asset value calculation ... ANEP and ANLC

    Hellö ,
We have a problem in calculation of the Fixed Asset values. Please see the link below for the problem. Technically it sums up like transaction values are available in the table ANEP but ANLC table is with the wrong value, Some of the transactions are not reflecting in the calculations of planned values for some of the Assets.
    http://docs.google.com/View?id=ddqnbgm8_49cmgq86gx
We develop and implemented a functionality with the next
    characteristics:
    a. When we ran the MIRO transaction to a fixed asset situation, a
substitution in accounting documents (using a user-exit ) determines
the profit center to the fixed asset and insert the line
    item in a custom table.
    b. The custom program identifies all pending line items for processing
(via custom table) and, for each fixed asset identified, reverse the
original accounting document, and post the fixed asset in the profit
center '04219CL000'. To do this movement between the profit
center '04106CL000' and '04219CL000' the custom program uses a zero
    balance account.
    c. First of all, the custom program set the Field <negative values>
    (BAPI1022_DEP_AREAS- NEG_VALUES) using the function
BAPI_FIXEDASSET_CHANGE. Later the custom program post the accounting
    document using the function BAPI_ACC_GL_POSTING_POST;
    d. In less than 1% of the cases the fixed asset posted in this process
it seems with a problem: the asset line itens (transactions  - ANEP
table) where correct posted but the fixed asset acquisition values
(ANLC table) where posted in a wrong way (it's initialized - without
any value sometime or not summing up some transaction values properly).
    e. Our custom program does not update any field value on the asset.
All the modifications on the asset are being made by the standard
    functions above.

    Hi,
the problem is: Does anybody give you the correct value for each part?
If you know the value for each part you can use transaction ABUMN to transfer values from one asset to a new asset. With this transaction you can create a new asset. And you can make a partial transfer.
If you use this transaction you can simulate before you transfer it.
But as I said the problem is to find out the correct value. In germany for example we have to activate all in one fixed asset (computer with cbu )
    Hope this answer your question.
    Best regards

First, when you post related threads you should cross-link them so people have access to all of the information about the problem you are trying to work with.
    partitioning a table
    >
it even shows me values that start with W,V,I,1,2,3,4,24,5 etc
although the number is less(696out of 6785) this is undesired
    >
Yes - that is what it should be doing.
These are the steps you took to populate the table
    1. You originally inserted ALL data into table 'drop_it' with no restriction on the PROD_DETAILS values.
create table drop_it as select * from mv_prod_search_det2;     2. Then you converted the PROD_DETAILS value to upper case. That has no effect on numbers or other non-alphabetic characters.
update drop_it set prod_details=upper(prod_details);3. Then you create a new table with only one partition using MAXVALUe
    PROD_DETAILS VARCHAR2(1000 BYTE),
         SIGN VARCHAR2(42 BYTE)
    PARTITION BY RANGE(PROD_DETAILS)
PARTITION MAX_VALUE VALUES LESS THAN (MAXVALUE)
);4. Then you populate the partitioned table by exchange. It now has the same data including the numeric data.
ALTER TABLE drop_it_p EXCHANGE PARTITION MAX_VALUE WITH TABLE drop_it WITH VALIDATION;     5. Then you split the one MAXVALUE partition into two partitions. One with data < 'B%' and one with the remaining data that sorts higher based on your character set.
    ALTER TABLE DROP_IT_P
      SPLIT PARTITION MAX_VALUE AT ('B%')
      INTO (PARTITION p_a,
PARTITION MAX_VALUE);     The split on 'B%' when creating partition p_a is equivalent to you 'WITH VALUES < 'B%'. Since PROD_DETAILS is a VARCHAR2 datatype that 'LESS THAN' comparison uses the character order based on your database character set and most, if not all, character sets have characters that sort lower than the uppercase alphabetic characters.
For example in the ASCII character set an uppercase 'A' is decimal 65 so 64 other characters (including the digitis 0-9) sort lower than 'A'.
    http://www.asciitable.com/
As the doc you cited shows
    >
•All partitions, except the first, have an implicit lower bound specified by the VALUES LESS THAN clause on the previous partition.
    >
That 'first' partition has no lower bound so ALL data, including digits, that sort less than 'B%' will be in that partition.
    >
please help me eliminate these rows
    >
Either don't select the data to begin with or remove it using a simple DELETE query. Also you can do the case conversion when you select the data.
create table drop_it as select upper(prod_details) prod_details, sign from mv_prod_search_det2 where upper(prod_details >= 'A';Before you do that you should make sure you define the actual business rule you want to use to define the data you really want to keep and exclude.
Because most, if not all, character sets also have characters that sort HIGHER than the alphabetic characters. That ASCII table shows five of them. If you don't filter them out you will get data where the values start with those characters.
Even if you do filter them out there is nothing in what you posted that would prevent a user from inserting that data back into the table.
And, of course, there are characters that sort BETWEEN the lower and upper case alphabetics.
You need to determine what the allowable characters are in the PROD_DETAILS column and add code (e.g. check constraint or trigger) to make sure users can't enter data that includes those characters.

  • Asset Value Date - Wrong posting

    Dear All,
Company code is on live, Assets legacy data taken as on 31st-March-09.
Later we find that some of the assets [new purchases, in previous fiscal year (2008)] was not posted.
For that recently we posted that transactions F-90 using posting date is current date and document date is Actual acquisition date.
Due to document date in previous fiscal year system taten posting date as asset value date.   So, depreciation posting missing for previous year.
I need your help.  How can I rectify this???
Other than reversing the existing posting, what is the scenario????????
    Thanx
    Regards
    partha

    Hi,
In order to post ,post capitalization please closed the previous asset accounting year.In ABNAN T.Code screen please update the original val date field with the date  of the previous year from where you need to start calculating the dep. Doc date and posting date should be of the current FY.Also check T.Code Ao90 for updating the field Revenue from post capitalization with proper GL Account.
If your statutory audit for 2008-09 is not yet completed then you can think about T.Code AS91.While  using T.Code ABNAN the following line items are generated.
    Asset        dr
    Acc Dep         cr
    Rev form post capitalization cr
The system will only calculate dep of previous year. For the current year dep which are yet to be posted will be posted in the next schedule dep posting run.

  • Asset Value Date in Settlement

    Hello!
We would like to settle investment measure to a completed asset, so the settlement rules have been updated with the completed asset, status of the order has been changed to TECO (technically complete).
When we settled the order (not via u201Cko88u201D but via automated program which uses our client) it turned that out asset value date is different than posting date, so the system takes the date when investment measureu2019s status has been changed to TECO instead of posting date, as asset value date.
Would anybody know where and how to change config, so asset value date is the same as the posting date?
Thanks in advance for any hints.

    Hi,
When i try to post settlement of AuC in transaction AIBU with parameters:
    document date: previous fiscal year
asset value date: previous fiscal year
    posting date: new fiscal year
    I know that:
The asset value date is the value date for Asset Accounting. It can deviate from the posting and document date and be in posting periods already closed for Financial Accounting. <b>However, the posting year and asset value date year must be the same.</b> (SAP documentation).
But maybe someone knows the way, how to post such a document??

  • Asset Value Date Exit and Enhancement

    Hi,
We have a requirement from customer, that the asset value date in ANY asset posting transaction cannot be less than or equal to 30.06.2014 it should always be 01.07.2014 or higher.
So, please let me know if there is any User Exit which can be used to restrict the Asset Value Date. If yes, then will this User Exit work for all transaction codes, or we need to write different logic for every transaction code.
    Please advise.
    Regards,
    Devdatth

    Hi,
To transfer one asset to another asset within a company code can be done through ABUMN only.
While doing this transfer you have enter the document date, posting date, and value date for the transaction, but all these dates should be in same fiscal year only.
In your case you must have been entered the dates for asset value date and posting date , and these two dates are in diff financial years.
Please make sure that both the dates are in same FY.
Hope this will fix your issue.
    Thanks,
