  • Creating new files in Sun ONE

    I just started learning Java and I downloaded the Sun ONE developers tool. I want to know how to create a new Java file from scratch using the code editor in this tool. I looked through the help and there doesn't seem to be a way to do this. I can edit a file, or ad a file to a project, or create a new folder, or create a new project, but there are no instruction is the help for just creating a plain old ordinary individual Java file. Like I said, I'm new to Java, so I'm starting out small, like one file at t atime. Other than using a mregular run-of-the-mill text editor, is there a way to create new Java files in Sun ONE, and if so, how?

    Hi,
    Click on the Filesystems tab.Then right click the file system node->choose mount.Mount the directory where you need to create your new java file.
    Once the directory is mounted,
    Right click the directory -->choose new --> classes-->Main--->then enter the name of the name ,this willcreate a new java file.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to deploy a WAR file to Sun One Portal Server

    Would someone please tell me the instruction of how to deploy a WAR file to Sun One Portal Server 6.2. Thank you.

    I would advise against this. We tried that and it totally hosed the server.xml file and took our staging portal server down.
    I have no idea what was "in" the server.xml or other files, but trying to deploy a .war file using the WS admin interface hosed portal server's settings.

  • Issues in deploying files on sun one application server 8.2.

    Hi,
    We have developed a project using java, JSP & Struts Framework. The database used is oracle 9.i. We have created a single war file as it is a small application. Initially we had deployed this project on Tomcat Apachee server and now we have migrated Sun One application server 8.2.
    During the deployment process we checked the "Verify" option. This option throws up certain errors for unknown reasons / resaons which we are not able to figure out. How ever if we do not check the "Verify" option the project gets deployed and runs sucessfully on the server.
    Here is an extract of the Log file:
    FAILED TESTS :
    Test Name : tests.web.WebArchiveClassesLoadable
    Test Assertion : All classes in this Web Archive are loadable. Please refer to J2EE 1.4 Specification Section #8.1.2 for further information.
    Test Description : For [ careers.war ]
    classes [ ] referenced by [ ] are not found
    Please either bundle the above mentioned classes in the application or use optional packaging support for them.
    Can some one throw some light onto this issue.
    Thanks

    can you run standalone verifier and let us know what results it produces? to run standalone verifier:
    .../bin/verifier <path to your war file>
    If it still produces those empty [] in the resukts, then please file a bug.

  • Removing warning for "Default CSS file not found."

    I am getting this warning in Flash Builder:
    "Default CSS file not found."
    I can not for the life of me figure out how to get rid of it. Any suggestions?

    Default css file can be specified as a compiler option (per SWC, I think).
    See http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/help.html?content=compilers_14.html
    For example, flex framework has a default CSS file: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4\sdks\3.5.0\frameworks\projects\framework\default.css
    Do you have some library project or a swc with default css file option turned on, but the css file is missing?

  • Creating JNDI datsource for Sybase 11.2 in Sun One Web Server 6.1

    Hi,
    I would like to get detailed explanation on how to create JNDI datasource in Sun One Web Server 6.1 for Sybase 11.2. Can anybody help?

    Did you read and follow the WebServer manual? Since you did not even provide a version number, I'll point you at the latest:

  • Starter question: ear created on sun one studio can't be redployed

    Just start learning sun one studio. Followed the tutorial of helloworld, test succeed on sun one studio's RI server. I tried to redeploy the ear file on sun one's application 7, got error message:
    Deployment Error -- Error while running ejbc -- Fatal Error from EJB Compiler -- -- Failed to load deployment descriptor for: hello cause: Error reading from file: C:\Sun\AppServer7\domains\domain1\server1\applications\j2ee-apps\hello_2\sun-EJBModule_Greeter.xml
    under hello_2 folder, the applicaiton server unzipped descriptor is named: EJBModule_Greeter.xml.
    shouldn't the ear file be able to redeploy without modification on any J2EE complied application server? what did I do wrong?
    Thanks for your help.
    regards.

    I'll answer my own question - for anyone else who may want to know. The tool is SUN ONE Migration tool for application servers, and it can be found at URL http://www.sun.com/migration/sunonetools.html.
    The migration is from J2EERI to S1AS. I haven't tried it out yet , but will soon.
    Earlier I asked ...
    Do I understand correctly - I must use a migration
    tool to migrate from SUN ONE to SUN ONE?

  • Sun ONE Web Server & Remote User field

    Hi,
    I look for a tip to my Sun ONE Web Server 6.1 SP2 configuration.
    I have:
    - OS: Sun Solaris 8
    - Apache 1.3 (listen port :80)
    - Sun ONE Web Server 6.1 SP2 (listen port :81)
    - Weblogic 8.1 SP4 (listen port :8001)
    The 3 applications are in the same server.
    My first configuration works:
    - Apache works with basic authentification by password file (generate with htpasswd) and communicates with Weblogic
    - Weblogic listens http requests and work with the remote user id (use method HttpServletRequest.getRemoteUser())
    My second configuration doesn't work:
    - Apache works with basic authentification by password file (generate with htpasswd) + reverse proxy mode (use VirtuaHost) and communicates with Sun ONE Web Server
    - Sun ONE Web Server works with no authentification mode and communicates with Weblogic
    - Weblogic listens http requests and works with the remote user id (use method HttpServletRequest.getRemoteUser())
    The HttpServletRequest.getRemoteUser() returns null in my second configuration.
    How I can configure my Sun ONE Web Server to foward the remote user id ?
    Thank you.
    Christophe.

    Can you send your obj.conf?

    Hi,
    I have the same problem that you had with the path to the .png file in
    sun one studio 4, ME.
    Have did you solve it?
    I have all my .java files and the .png file in the same dir. and
    the call for creating the Image look like this:

  • Some CSS files not loading – limit on number?

    Hello,
    I am using Edge Inspect to work with a Rails site on an iPhone.
    When I browse to the live site it works fine, but when I browse to the development version some CSS files do not appear to have been loaded. I.E. The page displays without the styles from those CSS files.
    However, it does display with the styles from other CSS files defined in exactly the same way! So this is not about relative vs absolute URLs or ‘localhost’ vs IP address on the network.
    Given that the production version on a real domain displays fine via Edge Inspect, is it possible that Rails development behaviour is messing up Edge Inspect? In development, Rails creates <link> tags for every CSS file, whereas in production it concatenates and minifies them.
    As an aside: this whole issue is tricky to debug because I don’t see any CSS <link> tags in the <head> when I inspect the device. That includes the ones which are being applied, so I don’t get where the styles are coming from at all. Is this a foible of how Edge Inspect works? Just on iPhone (5S)?
    Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
    Leo

    I solved it!
    Turns out my hunch was correct – either Edge Inspect or the iPhone is choking on the large number of individual CSS files.
    By changing the relevant stylesheet_link_tag I was able to get it working.
    From:
    <%= stylesheet_link_tag 'application' %>
    To:
    <%= stylesheet_link_tag 'application', debug: false %>

  • Wiki CSS files over HTTPS use only RC4

    I finally found the answer to my problem of why the wiki CSS files wouldn't load.
    It turns out that the wiki forces an HTTPS connection and it retrieves the CSS files from https://d11xdyzr0div58.cloudfront.net. The encryption used for those CSS files uses 128-bit RC4 with MD5. In Firefox, the about:config parameter name is
    security.ssl3.rsa_rc4_128_md5
    I had turned off all RC4-based encryption for SSL3 in about:config because RC4 is old and not appropriate for secure use in the modern day. Since SSL works by the server offering to the client all of the encryption algorithms it's willing to use, and then the client selects the ones it likes, my assumption was that if the encryption parameters for a connection include RC4 Firefox would just not ever pick one of the RC4 options. However, I had no idea that there would be a website that ONLY offered RC4. My guess is that this is the case for the wiki's CSS file server, because only by turning on the about:config parameter mentioned above can I get the CSS files to load.
    Is there a way to address this issue? Preferably, either the CSS file server needs to support alternative algorithms (it looks like a cloud host, is that under our control at all?), or the wiki needs a way to be viewed in non-HTTPS mode. I don't care about the security of the wiki CSS files, I care about having RC4 turned on in Firefox -- I shouldn't have to enable it.
    I considered filing a feature request, but I wanted feedback first.

    A couple of years ago, I wrote an extension for Firefox called CipherFox (see my sig below).  One of its features is disabling RC4 in about:config.  I've had RC4 disabled all this time, and the Arch Wiki is the first time I've ran into trouble with it being disabled.
    I too don't care much about the CSS files being encrypted.  Here's what I did a couple of months ago as a crappy, hacked-up workaround:
    (1) A Greasemonkey script to change link and script href's to point to http instead of https:
    // ==UserScript==
    // @name Archwiki Cloudfront SSL
    // @description Removes SSL from Cloudfront href's
    // @version 1.0.0
    // @author MkFly
    // @include http://wiki.archlinux.org/*
    // @include https://wiki.archlinux.org/*
    // ==/UserScript==
    var head = document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0];
    var link = head.getElementsByTagName('link');
    var script = head.getElementsByTagName('script');
    var cloudfront = "d11xdyzr0div58.cloudfront.net";
    for (var i in link) {
    link[i].href = link[i].href.replace("https://" + cloudfront, "http://" + cloudfront);
    for (var i in script) {
    script[i].src = script[i].src.replace("https://" + cloudfront, "http://" + cloudfront);
    (2) With that installed, loading the Wiki pages was still delayed while it tried to connect via SSL and waited to time out.  I worked around that by blocking them with Adblock Plus:
    |https://d11xdyzr0div58.cloudfront.net/*
    I know this is a hacky way to do it, but it works for now.  Hopefully Cloudfront will let us use something better than RC4 in the future.
