Hana Ado NET Multiple SELECT

Hi everyone,
Is it possible to get multiple result set from the only one call of HanaDataAdapter.Fill(DataSet set) method?
What I mean, in Hana Studio I can easily excequte the following query:
Select * From "MyDatabase"."MyTable";
Select * From "YourDatabase"."YourTable";
which returns multiple results.
However, the same HanaDataAdapter.SelectCommand.CommandText will rise an Exception: Incorrect SQL syntax near ";" ...
The same issue at HanaDataAdapter.ExcecuteReader() call.
Is it any way to solve this problem, I need to minimize the number of queries to database.
Best regards, Evgeny.

Technically these are two separate SQL commands for SAP HANA Studio.
In fact, the SAP HANA Studio parses the text in the command prompt before executing and then issues parse and execute commands for every found SQL command.
Your requirement "to minimize the number of queries" sounds slightly "unsharp".
Why do you want to minimize the number of queries? Could it be that you want to optimize your network traffic, instead?
Or do you want to save on the parsing overhead?

  • How can I create multiple selection check boxes in a report row?

    Hello,
    I'd like to know how a multiple selection checkbox can be created in report rows. In brief, I need to create a questionnaire template and each one of the questions will have multple options checkboxes, that means that the user can select more than one of the answers.
    Should I use apex_item.checkbox ?. I have no clue here.
    Please advice.
    Thank you

    I’m looking for a script that will duplicate the selected object or the content of the clipboard into multiple selected layers inside a document.
    I have not find any discussions around this, but I’m asking if anyone have already seen such script.

  • How to submit a multiple-selection list box in an Infopath Sharepoint form as multiple entries on a Sharepoint list?

    I would like to be able to submit an Infopath form with a multiple selection list box in Sharepoint as multiple entries on a Sharepoint list.
    For example, a user has to complete the following fields:
    First Name:
    Last Name:
    Favorite Color (can select more than one):
    [] Blue
    [] Red
    [] Yellow
    [] Green
    If the user picks blue AND red and submits the form, the Sharepoint list would feature TWO entries, both with their first and last names, but with different colors in the "Favorite Color" column.
    Please let me know if there is a way to do this. Any guidance would be helpful!

    Hi redhotc,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to set multiple default values for a multiple checkbox list in InfoPath form.
    I did a test with SQL database table. I set three default values for the checkbox list by adding three values field under the group field(Data->Default values), each value field is for a default value. Then publish it to my SharePoint site, everything

  • Passing dynamic table name in ADO. net destination

    I am new to SSIS and I have a requirement where i need to pass dynamic table name in ADO .net destination .
    My package contains an "Execute Sql task" in the control flow which computes the destination table name to be provided at run time and stores it in a variable expression
    "@[User::Table_name]"(which has a scope of full package).
    Now, the problem I'm facing right now is that , I am unable to use this variable expression in the ADO .Net Destination .
    I need to pass this variable expression as the table name in ado .net destination.
    But, whenever I use this variable in place as the table name I keep on getting this error and my package fails:-
    [ADO NET Destination [403]] Error: The Table or View name is not expected. \n\t If you are quoting the table name, please use the prefix " and the suffix " of your selected data provider for quotation. \n\t If you are using multipart name,
    please use at most three parts for the table name.
    Although ,I am able to run my package when i am providing the existing(static) table name.So there is nothing wrong with the  package.
    Tried a lot of things still not working..Please help...

    I am having the result stored in the variable expression . I just need a way to be able to use it as the Destination table in ADO .net Destination.
    I am not sure if this will work for you, but I am able to store the table name in variable and use it dynamically (via data flow task expression property ) as shown.
    Thanks, hsbal
    Hi Adeep,
    Based on my further research, just as hsbal said, we can set a variable as ADO.NET Destination table via Expressions property in Data Flow Task.
    If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.
    Thanks,

  • Multiple selection in JTable

    Hi ,
    The problem is to select multiple rows and columns in the JTable like that of a excel application and have the focus on the first column of the last row. for example if select cells from ( 1,1 ) to ( 4,4), after selection the focus should be in cell (4,1). i have written a prgram( which is below) which uses listSelection to find out the cells which are selected. i found out the cells which are selected also. but i do not know how to get the focus on that cell. i have attached the code below also.. i want to know whether there is any method which set the focus to the particular cell. Can the problem above can be solved in any other way..or a simpler way..

    Whic cell is focused depends on where you begin your selection. The cell that you press your mouse first will be the focused one. Here is how I implement the mutiple selection functionality in a JTable as what MS Excel provides. This class is independent of my any other package. your table has to have column headers and a upper left JLabel corner(int the scroll pane containing the table) in order to make this class which I named TableSelectionAdapter function properly. You can revise and imporve it as you need, however.

    Small fix to List multiple selection commit.
    Problem: Dispatching programatically mouse_down event to the item renderer would not put it in the selection.
    Reason: commitSelection() was getting called twice, once through ListBase.commitProperties() and a second time through List:commitProperties()
    Fix: Clear the multipleSelectionChanged flag inside commitSelection() to prevent it from being called twice.

  • Select MULTIPLE default values for a multiple selection list box based on another field in Infopath 2010

    Hello there - Before I explain my issue, I would like to point out that I have reviewed some other discussions on selecting default values for multiple selection listbox. But my issue is specific and different, and not answered by any of the discussions
    I visited.
    I have a multiple selection list box (say for example all countries in the world as values), and I would like to pre-select or setup multiple default values (say five countries) based on some criteria that I query from MS SQL database table.
    I know we can go to Data | Default Values option to setup one or many default values for multiple selection list box. When I enter the default values manually this works. I also right click the field under the Multiple-Selection List Box group, then select
    Add another Value Below and set the Default Value for this field to setup multiple default values.
    However, if I reference a field (either an infopath field or a field from SQL database) I am not able to setup multiple default values. Infopath automatically selects the last field I selected for all instances and in the end I am able to see only one
    default value selected instead of many. How to fix this problem? Why would infopath allow multiple default values when we enter it manually but not when we reference some fields?
    Please let me know if you need more info. Appreciate your help.
    Thanks!

  • Check box in Grid for multiple selection

    Hi,
    Right now i am using dynamic code to generate grid for checkboxs(multiple selection) it is working fine but it is taking time to generate grid.Is there any method(MII 12.0 option) to display data along in the gird
    Thanks
    Ramesh

    In MII 12.2 we added the "checkbox" display option/feature for the MII iGrid applet for displaying boolean values using the checkbox icon.  If you want something more robust and interactive the iGrid may not be the best choice and leveraging an XSLT to generate HTML dynamically from your XML data , HTML 5 libraries, or dHTMLx can all be options for supporting more robust UI displays.
    Perhaps this link will help you along with understanding the XSLT route:
    Interfacing MII and the dHTMLx Editable Grid  The following document will discuss in detail how to create a working interface from the dHTMLx Editable Grid to MII Query Templates. It also includes a sample project with a working example and content to illustrate how this interface can be achieved.

    PS: Please remember that the MII UI is intended to be a mash-up design so just about any web technology will work...I say just about because .aspx will not as there isn't a .NET backed for NetWeaver.

  • Checked some items of multiple-selection list box when form loaded in infopath

    Hi
    I customize sharepoint list with infopath. I have multiple-selection list box and want to checked some items of that automatically when form loaded. how can do this?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to pre-select some items in the Multiple-Selection List Box.
    I recommend to follow the steps below to achieve this goal:
    Click Default Values under Data tab in InfoPath, expand the dataFields and navigate to the Multiple-Selection List Box field.
    Set the Default Value of the Multiple-Selection List Box field.
    Right click the field under the Multiple-Selection List Box group, then select Add another Value Below and set the Default Value for this field.
    Repeat step3 based on the number of the items that you want to be pre-selected.
    More information are provided in the link below:

    Best regards.

  • The ADO NET Source was unable to process the data. ORA-64203: Destination buffer too small to hold CLOB data after character set conversion.

     We developed a SSIS Package to pull the data From Oracle source to Sql Server 2012. Here we used ADO.Net source to pull the records from Source but getting the below error after pulling some 40K records.
      [ADO NET Source [2]] Error: The ADO NET Source was unable to process the data. ORA-64203: Destination buffer too small to hold CLOB data after character set conversion.
    [SSIS.Pipeline] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_PRIMEOUTPUTFAILED.
     The PrimeOutput method on ADO NET Source returned error code 0xC02090F5.
     The component returned a failure code when the pipeline engine called PrimeOutput().
    The meaning of the failure code is defined by the component,
    but the error is fatal and the pipeline stopped executing.
     There may be error messages posted before this with more
    information about the failure.
    Anything that we can do to fix this?

    Hi,
      Tried both....
      * Having schema type as Nvarchar(max). - Getting the same error.
      * Instead of ADO.Net Source used OLEDB Source with driver as " Oracle Provide for OLE DB" Getting error as below.
           [OLE DB Source [478]] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR.  An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80004005.
           [SSIS.Pipeline] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_PRIMEOUTPUTFAILED.  The PrimeOutput method on OLE DB Source returned error code 0xC0202009.  The component returned a failure
    code when the pipeline engine called PrimeOutput(). The meaning of the failure code is defined by the component, but the error is fatal and the pipeline stopped executing.  There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the
    failure.
    Additional Info:
       * Here the Source task is getting failed not the conversion or destination task.
    Thanks,
    Loganathan A.

  • Multiple Select in same Query

    I'm building a report based on a single table in APEX. The report requires the following.
    select user, project, count(start date ), project, count(end date) where date between 01-jan-07 01-feb-07
    (simplified to show the idea)
    basicaly a count of projects that started between two dates and the ones that ended between the same two dates relating to the user.
    I have writen the selects to do both parts and they work BUT is it posible to glue them together in a single statement?
    I tried to searching the forum on "multiple selects" but never realy got anything close.
    Is it possible to do this type of select? If so does it have a special name (so I can try a search on that name)
    Thanks
    Bjorn

    First of all, '11-MAY-06' and '19-MAY-06' are not dates, they are strings. This has some important disadvantages:
    1) Oracle has to implicitly convert them to a date, when they are being compared to a date column
    2) Your application will be NLS (National Language Support) dependent, so they might break when you change a setting
    3) When compared to a varchar2 or other string column, the comparison will give incorrect results. For example: 12-MAY-06 will be between 06-JAN-06 and 18-JAN-06
    Bottom line: convert those dates to real dates using the to_date function, or the date 'yyyy-mm-dd' variant.
    Back to your question, apparently you don't want to count the number of occurences of CON_ACTUAL_START and CON_SIGN_OFF, but you only want to count them when this date is between the two boundary values. So use the following:
    select mli_clo
         , count(case when con_actual_start between date '2006-05-11' and date '2006-05-19' then 1 end)
         , count(case when con_sign_off between date '2006-05-11' and date '2006-05-19' then 1 end)
    ...Regards,
    Rob.

  • How to get multiple selections from jsp page in my servlet

    Hello Everyone,
    I've a list that allows users to make multiple selections.
    <select name=location multiple="multiple">
        <option>
             All
        </option>
        <option>
             Hyd
        </option>
        <option>
             Dub
        </option>
        <option>
             Mtv
        </option>
      </select>I want to get the selections made by user in jsp page from my servlet, selections can be multiple too.
    ArrayList locList = new ArrayList();
    locList = request.getParameter("location");when I do so, I get compilation error as the request returns string type. How do I then get multiple selections made by the user.
    Please let me know.

    For those kind of basic questions it would help a lot if you just gently consult the javadocs and tutorials.
