Handling Multiple  Idoc types

Hi All,
In a IDOC to File Scenario ...
Sender side SAP system sends 3 types of IDOCS , Ex MAtmas. cremas,debmas.
At XI side , I want to gather those idocs based on some time interval ,and i want to create 3 types of files at receiverside...ex: one for vender , one for material, and one for customer.How it is possible . Explain the steps -IR and ID .

Hi Vijay,
After collecting these 3 IDocs finally you are creating 3 different files for 3 Idocs. then what is the need of collecting them. I think you no need to collect them so develop as 3 separate interfaces(still you can use single configuration scenario). So finally your configuration scenario contains 3 sender agreements, 3 receiver determination, 3 interface determination and 3 receiver agreements.
Note:- If you want to create  single file for all these 3 idocs then only you need to collect them otherwise not required.
hope you are clear.
thanks,
madhu

  • How to handle multiple exception types in JSF 2?

    I'm trying to handle multiple exception types in JSF2, including a default error page for any unexpected exception types. The problems I'm having are:
    1) ViewExpiredException is handled only when no generic exception handler is specified
    2) "Regular" exceptions like NullPointerException are never handled
    My managed bean:
    @Named
    @SessionScoped
    public class MyController implements Serializable {
    /* A method that does nothing */
    public void doNothing() {
        //do nothing
    /* Generate a null pointer exception on purpose */
    public void generateNpe() throws NullPointerException {
        Object x = null;
        x.toString();
    My test page to generate the exception:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

        </h:form>
    </h:body>
    </html>
    My web.xml:
    <!-- Redirect all NPEs to this page; this never works! -->
    <error-page>
        <exception-type>java.lang.NullPointerException</exception-type>
        <location>/error/error003.jsf</location>
    </error-page>
    <!-- Redirect all VEEs to this page; this works fine if the next section is excluded -->
    <error-page>
        <exception-type>javax.faces.application.ViewExpiredException</exception-type>
        <location>/error/error002.jsf</location>
    </error-page>
    <!-- This grabs everything, even with the previous sections defined.  If I exclude this error-page section, VEE works fine but NPE still does not get redirected -->
    <error-page>
        <exception-type>java.lang.Exception</exception-type>
        <location>/error/error001.jsf</location>
    </error-page>My questions are as follows:
    1) How can we handle "regular" java exceptions like NPE?
    2) How can we define a catch-all for unexpected exception types, while still respecting specific exception handlers for VEE, etc?
    Thanks,
    Benjamin

    Is your data model right? If you are adding in one and deleting in another it sounds to me more like a process that an entity, in which case you may revisit your data model and simplify it, add in a session bean with the process method to co-ordinate between the two.
    However, if you want to map multiple different tables within a single entity bean it is possible and just part of the mapping. How you actualyl specify it depends on which implementation you are working with.
    Cheers,
    Peter.

  • Want to add multiple idoc type with single message type.

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a problem. I want to add multiple idoc type with single message type in WE20.
    How we can do this in WE20 or is there any other way to do that?
    Please help me.
    Thanks in advance.
    Srimanta.

    hi,
    basically in partner profile i.e. in we20 , we add details to the receiver / sender port that we have created using we21.
    so what exactly we do in that is that we first use the message type for those idocs that we have created.
    now based on those message type we create a process code. now this is the reason why you cannot apply several message types with the same name in we20... as process code is unque for each message type.
    so thats why you can only assign the same message name to several idocs in we82 and then in we20 define the process code for that message type.
    it will solve your problem.
    hope this will help you!!!
    Thanks & regards,

  • Message Split: File to Multiple IDOC Types

    Hi,
    I'm attempting to perform a multi-mapping using BPM where I have File -> XI -> IDOC.
    The result will be 3 DIFFERENT IDOC types, but depending on the payload of the file, not all will be created. I have followed the steps in this weblog: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/2748. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
    This works fine as long as all 3 messages are being created, however if only 2 of 3 IDOCs are to be created, I receive an error in the PE.
    I have set the occurances of the target messages as 0...1 in the Message and Interface Mappings.
    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    ><i>This works fine as long as all 3 messages are being created, however if only 2 of 3 IDOCs are to be created, I receive an error in the PE.</i>
    Just noticed this
    The reason is when you have a 1:N mapping inside the BPM, all messages need to be compulsorily be created. If you have 3 messages in the target side all 3 messages / idoc's need to be created as the output of your multimapping.
    As a workaround, if the condition which you want to check does not exist and you do not want the idoc to be created, in the mappingcreate the idoc, use some dummy flag and then use a switch in the BPm to decide if the idoc is to be sent to the target system or not.

  • File to multiple idoc types

    Hi All,
    Can anyone explain me how to configure a scenario where I have file sender and 2 idoc receivers.
    When I have gone through some documentation I came to know that this is not possible using BPM. How true it is ?Please explain.Also explain my above scenario.
    BR,
    Harish.

    HeY Harish,
    There was a kinda similar ques posted y'day but the reverse way round 1 idoc sender and 2 files had to be generated u can refer to that Re: Scenario-- One Idoc--> Two files has to generate.
    I think it also possible with out BPM as discussed.
    Might be try this considering that you are doing a assynchronous scenario.
    SAP IDOC
    Import  Both the IDOCs
    IR:
    File:
    1 data type
    1 messgae type
    1 Message Interface (outbound, asysnchrnous)
    Message Mapping: Either perform a multimapping or do 2 mapping file to idoc 1, file to idoc 2.
    Interface Mapping: 2 Interface Mapping.
    In the ID:
    Same  steps
    Import the both  Business System.
    1) Define communnication channel file sender, 2 receivers idoc.
    2) 1 Receiver determination
    3) 2 Interface Determination
    4) 1 sender agreement
    5) 2 receiver agreement.
    I havn't tried this ever. If doesn't work then i suppose  1 receiver Communication channel, receiver agreement , will do.

  • Handling Multiple Attachment Types in B2B Rosettanet

    Hi,
    We are encountering some issues while sending Excel (i.e. xls) attachments along with B2B rosettanet transactions. Other document types - PDF, text are going find without any issues.
    We have added "application/pdf : application/vnd.ms-excel" as additional mime type, but the attachment is still not getting posted to TP.
    This is what I see in the wire message -
    </pidx:InvoiceTotal> </pidx:InvoiceSummary></pidx:Invoice>------=_Part_69_226988743.1322688178936Content-Type: application/pdf; name="Niranjan%20Query_HOU-ECMCSTST01003632.xls"Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64Content-ID: <Niranjan%20Query_HOU-ECMCSTST01003632.xls>Content-Description: Niranjan%20Query_HOU-ECMCSTST01003632.xls0M8R4KGxGuEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPgADAP7/CQAGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABAAAAAQAAAAAAAAAAEAAAAgAAAAEAAAD+////AAAAAAAAAAD////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////9/////v
    One guess that I have is "Content-Type: application/pdf;" is causing this issue, but not sure how to set this value based on document type. Any suggestion on what we need to change to get this working?

    Hi Adarsh,
    Can you check what is this '%' symbol in your file name 'Niranjan%20Query'? May be it should be some empty space

  • Configuration scenario of file to multiple IDOCs in XI

    I have to configure a scenario of file to multiple IDOCs in XI.
          I have XML file in MDM server. And it contains multiple segments. Each Segment is  a combination of DEBMAS and ADRMAS.
    So in XI configuration I have to separate the mapping for DEBMAS and ADRMAS. And my ADRMAS idoc should post first in R3 and then DEBMAS should post.
    These IDOCs are multiple because each segment in XML file will be a IDOC.
    Does BPM process is mandatory here or we can do in any other way.
        Could you please suggest how to do this configuration. If you have any documents pls share with me.
    Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi,
    First you need to split the messages into multiple IDOC types. As you are going to send this to IDOC adapter, it is required to have BPM to split the message.
    These 2 docs may help u:

  • Error Handling in File to Multiple IDOC Scenario?

    Hello Experts,
    My scenario is file with Multiple records and I want to send it to SAP system.If there will be 10 Records in my file I need to create 10 IDOC in Target system.
    I can use below of the two options.
    1) File to Multiple Idoc (1.N Mapping)
    2) Using BPM
    3)Directly place the file in SAP application server and process it via ABAP Program.
    However I am not clear in which option error handling will be more effective.Please suggest.
    Basically I want to handle If out of 10 records 9 are correct and 1 record is not correct then I should be able to report within PI without affecting 9 correct records.Is it possible 9 records will be sent to SAP system and PI will only show error for 1 incorrect record.
    Also I will be doing this scenrio for transaction data with huge size (1 Million Records).Which approach will be more effective in this case.
    Thanks,
    Pushkar

    Hi Patel,
    I want to handle If out of 10 records 9 are correct and 1 record is not correct then I should be able to report within PI without affecting 9 correct records.Is it possible 9 records will be sent to SAP system and PI will only show error for 1 incorrect record.
    when working on graphical mapping, the target structure is created when there are no errors in all records of source structure.
    suppose if we have validation error in 9th and 10th record, then we can not process the first eight records and inturn we can not store the two error records in XI for further.
    i suggest you the third option, you can directly place the file in SAP application server and process it via ABAP Program.
    this is far better because you can do more customizations as you have to deal with millions of records.

  • XML IDOC data (hosted on a web server)   &  handling multiple WSDLs

    Hi ALL,
    1)how to design an Interface for picking up an XML IDOC data (hosted on a web server) which will be uploaded to SAP or converted to a file
    this is what the customer has given me ..can any one explain me this and help me how to more forward
    2).This Interface must use UDDI concept because we are going to use multiple BAPIs /RFCs as WSDLs
    what is this mean can any send me some document on this
    3).Use web-service navigator concept as we will be handling multiple WSDLs
    i worked on 1. to define a place holder in WebAS for holding the
    wsdls.
    2. publish the wsdls in WebAS UDDI Repostory
    but i have never used web-service navigator concept as we will be handling multiple WSDLs what is the difference ..send me some step by step docs ..
    thanks very much
    RK..

    1.I am not clear with the requirement too. THere is no big deal in sending XML to IDOC or File. Based on your requirement you have to import IDOC structure or ify ou are using file, create a structure for the file.
    If u are asking about sendin the XML directly without mapping, even you can do that without MM and even IM.
    Please be more elaborate and if you are not clear with what client said, paraphrase them or ask again. Its not good to start work unless we are very clear with the requirement.
    you can say to my understanding i feel this, now pI will send data like this. Is it correct?
    2. More information on UDDI
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UDDI
    I dont think you need to worry much about this now with many features provided in ESR especially
    3. http://<Host>:<port>/wsnavigator/
    The webservices going out of PI are published here.
    provide host and port are host and port details of ext system.
    Once you enter link in your browser, it shows the available webservices hosted there.
    All you need is to click on the required wsdl and test it.
    It is as good as sending your data from PI to other system.
    It is similar to Altova XML spy but the difference here is you enter the values directly here but in XML spy we send XML .

  • Collect Multiple IDOC(Single IDOC type) to single file using BPM

    Hi All,
    When i am generating multiple IDOC for the same message type, i am getting multiple payload for the same as a result i used to get multiple files generated in application server.
    Now if i use BPM only to collect multiple IDOC to a file then what all the steps that i need to follow for the same.
    Ex: I want to post 10 IDOC for a single IDOC type,, Now using BPM in XI i want to collect all the 10 IDOCs with multiple payload into one single message and then want to process this in XI to generate the file.
    It would be glad if anyone refer me a good step by step blog for the same.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jay

    Thanks a lot Abhisek.
      I have also got a blog explaining the exact thing. But in the blog the ID part was missing which is present in the link you have provided.
    I will be glad if you can through some light on the ID part,, however the IR part and the BPM part is now mostly okay to me.
    I will configure this today only,, and may seek your help for any huddle.
    Thanks a lot once again.

  • Multiple Idocs to XI with exception handling.

    Hi,
    I m doing a scenario,sending multiple idocs to file via XI.while doing dis,i m using BPM.For the BPM part i m following the blog https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/2034..but [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] wen i check in SXMB_MONI,my message isn't successfully processed out f BPM.In this,exception is triggered at d beginning.and it always throw exception and message not successfully processed out f BPM.In the workflow it is showing error in the first step and remaining steps are compIeted.Here, i m throwing exception by the use f deadline branch.Can,anybody tell me how to handle dis exception/error?

    Hi Rajeev,
    I am using a loop with in a block inside the BPM inside which receive step and container element is used.In parallel to loop branch,i m using deadline and exception branch same as in blog 2034.i m using infinite loop wid time limit mentioned in the deadline branch.After coming out f dis block,i m using transformation step and den send step is used.When i check in graphical workflow,i m getting error in send step stating that an empty container element is used while sending.But,wen i m checking technical workflow,i m getting error in first step after the creation of workflow and workflow started messages in the log details.after which the exception occured is shown in the workflow system..

  • Split Single IDOC into Multiple IDOC's Based on Segment Type

    Hi Experts,
    I have a scenario IDOC to FILE ,  Split Single IDOC into Multiple IDOC's based on Segment Type
    Outbound:
    ZIdocName
    Control Record
    Data Record
    Segment 1
    Segment 2
    Segment 3
    Status Record
    I should get output like below
    Inbound:
    ZIdocName
    Control Record
    Data Record
    Segment 1
    Status Record
    ZIdocName
    Control Record
    Data Record
    Segment 2
    Status Record
    ZIdocName
    Control Record
    Data Record
    Segment 3
    Status Record
    Please suggest me step by step process to achieve this task.
    Thanks.

    Thanks a lot Harish for reply.
    I have small doubt. According to your reply , If we have N number of segments in single IDOC with same fields in all segments then for splitting Single IDOC into Multiple IDOC's based on Segment Type we need to duplicate N number of target IDOC tree structure.
    Is that possible to Split single IDOC into Multiple IDOC's based on Segment Type using only one Target IDOC structure without duplicating the Target IDOC structure tree.

  • Multiple customers in Sender Party for IDOC type KU

    Hi All,
    My scenario is IDOC to HTTP with sender IDOC Type KU.
    We are using PO 7.4 and IDOC_AAE.
    I have done the following settings.
    Created a Sender Party and assigned a customer under party identifiers. (Also I can't add multiple values with same Agency and scheme it throws eror in PI)
    For a single customer the end to end scenario is working fine.
    But if I try to send the IDOC with other customer Number it fails as the entry is not maintained for that customer in Sender Party identifiers.
    Also I can't afford to create a different party for each customer as there are hundreds of customers in the ECC Application system.
    I also tried with value mapping but it won't worked.
    Please suggest on this.

  • Multiple IDOCS of same message type To Single File

    Hi Sap All.
    here i have got a tricky situation of sending Multiple IDOC's of same type to a Single File via PI.
    the Integration architect has created an Integration Gudeline of how to do this.
    from the SAP-ECC side the follwing below are the steps thatr he mentioned
    To allow IDOCu2019s to be processed sequentially in a queue, the queue processing option on the partner profile must be selected. In addition the rule name which is used to create queue names must be specified.
    NB On the partner profile (for the partner / message type) you must also set the output mode as collect IDOCu2019s (it cannot be set to transfer immediately) u2013 This means the IDOCu2019s are created but not sent to out (to SAP PI)
    As standard there are two rule names delivered CONSTANT:EDIQUEUE and FIRST_16_OF_MESTYP. These rule names are linked to a SAP function module and therefore custom queue names can be build either as an u201Chardcodedu201D name or based on the data in the IDOC.
    The program RSEOUT00 should be run to transfer the IDOCu2019s to PI. The IDOCu2019s will be placed in the SAP ERP qRFC (rather than the standard RFC)
    My Questions :
    1. how and where  we can select the Queue Processing option on partner profile  in SAP-ECC as mentioned above
    2.how and where we can define the Rule name as mentioned above
    3.how  and where we can set the output mode as Collect IDOC's in SAP-ECC as mentioned above
    4.what does the EDIQUEUE and FIRST_16_OF_MESTYP  will do and how they linked to SAP Function modules
    will be waiitng for a the best solutions.
    Regards.
