Has anyone created a device driver for the DG101 Programmable Delay Generator?

I am wondering if anyone has written a LabVIEW driver for the DG101 Programmable Delay Generator third party device?

I have looked at the instrument driver network and there is nothing listed there.  The board comes with the source code for the device as well as a gui to run under windows but I am working on the PXI-8196 embedded controller running a RTOS so the .dll that comes with the board is not compatible.   I have been on the phone and email with NI over the last 3-4 weeks trying to figure out how to import the .dll, how to wrap the .dll, and how to create a new .dll.  I spoke with someone yesterday and they told me that I would have to write a register level interface driver to work with the board and that it is very difficult for even the most experienced person.  They suggested I outsource it but I was just curious, seeing that this board belongs to a very small community of programmable delay generators, that someone may have written a driver that is available.
Thanks,
Tracy L.

Has anyone found a workaround driver for using a Xerox WorkCentre PE220 Series printer with Mountain Lion?

    John -
My "Use" menu only contains Apple print drivers.  And Canon drivers, from the location I set this machine up.  None for my home use....which is a Xerox machine.
Not being on the menu, I don't know how to acquire this generic driver.
    Any further helpful hints?
I appreciate your thoughts and help.

  • Has anyone submitted a successful application for the up-to-date program?

has anyone submitted a successful application for the up-to-date program? I submitted my application 2 days ago and when I log on it's still under review.  Has anyone had difficulty with this? When they finally get back to me am I likely to be offered iworks? - I've fulfilled all criteria, I just wonder whether they expect me to jump through any more hoops

Change your Mac's System Preferences to English and go to the Mac App Store and you should see it for free.
Otherwise see the Apple Up-To-Date Program:

  • Has anyone received a shipping notification for the iPod touch 5 yet?

Has anyone's ipod shipped yet? Mine was ordered on the 28th and it still says processing, although I can't return order at this point. I wonder if that means it is about to ship or something. Also I read somewhere that apple was shipping them on the 7th I heard that some had already shipped.

Your frustration is understandable. Leaving an ambiguous "October" on the shipping date is doing them no favors. If I had to guess, I would say that they weren't sure how much time they would be able to devote to manufacturing the iPod Touch vs. the iPhone 5 since they didn't know what the initial demand would be for the iPhone, and they do share some of the same hardware and components. Considering that we are seeing statuses change at all, this does seem to indicate that Apple is at least now moving along with the process. I sincerely hope they communicate accurate shipping dates soon, as even if that date is later in October, at least it will be a solid date.

  • Has anyone ever written a driver for LabVIEW for Omega CN9500 process contollers w/Modbus protocol over RS485?

Omega has a protocol manual to facilitate this on their web site

    Jay,
Most folks use an OPC Server, such as Lookout Protocol Drivers (sold under package "IA OPC Servers") to communicate with devices using the Modbus protocol from LabVIEW. The KnowledgeBase below describes this method in detail.
Drivers for Communicating to PLCs, RTUs, and Other Industrial Hardware"
As for direct Modbus protocol VIs for LabVIEW - I have never personally used them, but I have seen many Developer Exchange posts in the past where folks have used and recommended them. Simply search this developer exchange for "modbus AND labview" and numberous discussion threads on this topic will be returned.

  • Has anyone needed to use AppleCare for the AppleTV2?

My complimentary 90-day support ends soon, and I'm wondering if it's worthwhile to buy the extended care for this particular device?

Here's an excerpt from the email from Apple:
"The AppleCare Protection Plan for Apple TV gives you:
    Apple hardware coverage.
Hardware coverage on your Apple TV, included accessories, and AirPort device or Time Capsule"
Does that mean that my current (and older) AirPort Extreme is included in the Apple TV coverage?

  • Anyone create a step list for a Win 7clean install for a W500?

I will be performing a clean install of Win 7 Home Premium edition on a new hard drive at the end of the week.  I am currently compliling all the drivers I anticipate I may need (although Win 7 will probably load most of them automatically).  I have read a few threads about performing a clean install on a W500.  Has anyone created a step procedure and the drivers that will be necessary?  Thanks in advance.

  • Firewire device driver for Windows XP

I have connected my Mac and my Windows XP computers together using Firewire.
The Windows XP computer reports it found a new device.
However, Windows XP needs a device driver to be able to communicate with the Mac.
Is there any device driver for the Windows XP computer that would allow it to see the Mac over the Firewire port?

PCs do not support firewire target disk mode, so you will not be able use your Mac as hard drive on your PC. Your only option is to create a small network using TCP over firewire...which XP supports but Vista does not.

  • Has anyone created a NI-VXI driver for the Ardence RTX operating system?

Has anyone created a NI-VXI driver for the Ardence RTX operating system?
a VXI instrument through a PCI-VXI-8335 card (in the PC) talking to a PCI-VXI-8345 card (in the VXI chassis) via MXI-3, Has anyone created a PCI-VXI-8335 card  driver for the Ardence RTX operating system?

Now  i want  develop driver on RTX,my hard platform is similiar(PCI8335+VXI8340+1418A),and after i read the PCI baseaddress,i find PCI8335 only has memory-map,so that means if i want to driver this board ,so i take following steps list below:
1.use Rtmapmemory() to map the baseaddress to virtual address
2.using memset() or memcpy() to driver the 1418A board
    is this right?

    Hi G-Money,
The communication will be over TCP-IP.
Thanks for your offer to help.  I don't really need assistance in figuring out how to communicate with the device in LabVIEW at a transport layer.  I'm just trying to take inventory on what's already been done, at a messaging protocol level, that could be useful as a reference or starting point.
    Thanks,

  • I would like to know if you have to back up a macbook hard drive, can I use a external hard drive that has been previously used to back up several pc 's, or is it best to have a separate external drive for the Mac?

I would like to know if you have to back up a macbook hard drive, can I use a external hard drive that has been previously used to back up several pc 's, or is it best to have a separate external drive for the Mac?

In the Mac side of things, backups usually come in two flavors: clones or incrementals.
A bootable clone is a bit-for-bit copy of all essential files in the startup volume. If using the Lions, clones can be made using CarbonCopyCloner or just plain old Disk Utility. These backups represent the safest protection of your info, but take the longest to do. Recovery is an inverse process: you copy the clone back into the internal drive.
Incremental backups start with a complete backup of the startup volume and only copy whatever changed from the previous run. OS X includes the fully integrated Time Machine backup utility to do this. It is extremely easy to do and takes the least amount of time. Recovery is another matter altogether since you have to start with a freshly installed instance of the OS and have to apply all intervening backups to bring the result to the latest saved version.
As for where the backup takes place, the recommended media is an external dedicated drive or drives connected via the fastest interface available on your Mac: Thunderbolt, USB3, Firewire, or USB2. Network-based backups, wired or wireless, are attractive but may not offer the same performance and hence take longer. Also important to note that the entire drive need not be completely dedicated to a single backup. The Mac's EFI firmware infrastructure allows for an unlimited number of partitions on a hard drive and each can be used for either type of backups.
Holler if you need specifics on how to do each. This was just an executive summary.

I have the latest driver for the touch-pad, from synaptics, for my toshiba laptop L505D-S5986. Operating system is Windows 7 (32-Bit). Have tried it on other browsers, and works as it should. The last add-on i installed for Firefox was "Fox Filter" so my kids couldn't accidentally stumble onto sites of immoral tastes. Hello Steve.
You may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
If you detect a faulty add-on, you should contact its author for support. You can also search for alternatives. Site filters are relatively common in the add-ons gallery: [http://addons.mozilla.org addons.mozilla.org].
