Has anyone found a fix for the problems with using Adobe PSE 11 with OS X 10.10.1?
My Photoshop Elements 11 not working well with the iMac after updating to Yosemite. I cannot print from PSE nor cut and paste. The Adobe plug in fix does not plug in.
Hello PW, I am having this problem and all suggestions haven't worked yet. Where is the Preferences|Documents you are referring to? I am on a PC and using Windows.
EDIT: I found it and did, but still not working.

In Adobe Pro XI when converting an excel file to a pdf, the pdf is not retaining the page size settings. Has anyone found a fix for this?

It doesn't print each page as a separate job unless the orientation is different - that's the bug. And the name of the job is taken from the name of the window, not the name of the tabs. That's how every application works, which, I think, is why Excel allows the specific selection or the active sheets to be printed.
Still, that does sound like a plausible explanation.
However, even if presented with multiple prints with
the same name, the spooler should print each one!
The spooler does print each one - you can watch the spooler process the multiple jobs. I think, though, that they are being overwritten since all the jobs have the name of the window as the job title. And since this happens after the Save Dialog is presented, there's really nothing the application can do. To Excel, it's one job, the multiple orientations don't matter; it's just that Apple doesn't handle it correctly.
As a workaround, you can print the selections one at a time and give them unique names and then rejoin them in one PDF file. -

Has anyone found any solution for the noise problem for an iMac 21.5"?
I have recently bought a new iMac 21.5" 1TB. There is constant noise which sounds like it comes from the disk drive. It is very loud and annoying and you can hear it 10 ft away even. I took it to the Apple store and of course it is too noisy in the store for them to hear it. I left it at the store for them to check and you guess it, they did not notice any disk drive problem and return back to me. I am not an advanced users and I tell you I am not complaining out of the blue and it is not my imagination. After digging through the community, I seem to find a number of threads indicating that there is noise issue on the iMac.
Now I am worried that I have returned my iMac. If this is not a defect, I am thoroughly disappointed in Apple for designing such a crappy product. How can they let a product like that out?
Before I give up, does anyone out there have any advice? Is my only option now return the unit?Millions have not had a problem so perhaps yours is due to a bad install. I've tried two fixes:
1. Went to Firefox Profiles at AppData >Roaming > Mozilla> Firefox > Profiles > Default Profile > Extensions and look for the directory where the Google Toolbar is installed. Mine is located at {3112ca9c-de6d-4884-a869-9855de68056c} directory.
Changed the maxversion to 10. Find this line <em:maxVersion>4.0.*</em:maxVersion> to <em:maxVersion>10.*</em:maxVersion>\
2. Went to Lib dircotry and opened up the file toolbar.js with a text editior and replaced all www.google.com/accounts WITH: accounts.google.comYou can turn off compatibility checking, but more and more of the Google Toolbar will not work. Google is no longer supporting the Google Toolbar so you should use the alternatives.

Has anyone found a solution for the screen freeze on iPhone 6 plus?
I have an iPhone 6 plus on t mobile. Since buying the phone, there has been difficulty with the screen randomly freezing. I was wondering if this was a software fix or do I need to have the hardware looked at.

Has anyone found a cure for the U052 print head error. it was factory installed.
It just quit doing anything. You would think i could still fax at least. Not a chance i will recommend Canon to anyone. this machine is less than two years old. The Re-Seat instructions are a joke.
Whether this is quick or simple could be subjective.
I have found consistent success with exporting a reference or self-contained QT and then re-importing and placing the HD file in a 16x9 SD sequence and then letting FC do the down-convert(actually a Kona LHe card is doing the work). Export your SD movie and then compress for DVD in Compressor.
Would if you have a 120 minute show? This approach is still way faster than running a 120 minute show through Compressor on a Mac Pro 2.4GHz Quad-core with 8GB of ram and Qmaster.
I find Compressor to be consistently inconsistent when it comes to any HD to SD conversion for DVD no matter what the source is. Sometimes it works wells sometimes it doesn't.
I would suggest a test with one minute of your most complex footage and even play with no interlacing on the SD sequence. It may seem counter-intuitive but in my experience it works.
I am using FCP7 and cannot say how different your X experience will be. -

The the scanning feature of the HP worked fine, until, key word here stay with me now, until Apple updated their software, then the integrated periperal, the scanner that is, no longer functioned as intended.
When Apple updates/upgrades their software and/or hardware it is the responsibility of the 3rd party manufacturers to keep up! Not the other way around. -
I've only had my iphone 5s for a week. I keep getting an error message of "Server has stopped responding." I need the server to work. Does anyone know if there is a "fix" for the problem? Other wise, I probably best return for a refund and get a Samsung. Thanks

Unlikely. Based on the complete lack of detail of the issue provided it is entirely possible the same issue would occur.
Unless and until the user provides some actual details of the problem, there is nothing the indicate that the issue is with the iPhone. -
After updating my 4S to iOS 5.1.1 last night, none of my data applications are working today, nor Siri, iMessage or anything of the like. I'm at a loss as to what might have caused it. Is anyone else having this issue/has anyone found a fix? Everything seems to work fine if I connect to wireless, but if I'm not connected to it then nothing is working. My service provider says everything should be working fine, I still have the 3G symbol and full bars.
Somebody clearly hasn't read the User Guide.
Basic troubleshooting steps are retart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW.
If you have tried ALL of these steps and you're still having problems, then you need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation. -

Do you have a fix for the problem with Avast. Your upgrade process notifies me that it is not compatible with Avast so I always delete it. Soon I will just start using IE since Avast has worked fantastic for me. But I would rather not. Please help.Avast needs to update their Web Rep add-on for Firefox 5.0.

Has anyone found a solution for this?This seems to be an annoying part of the newer OS. When I first got my Pearl in 2008, I didn't have that occur. However once the OS got upgraded, and now with the Tour, it seems like that is the way it works. Not clear to me why they would have thought this is preferable.

I assume you are using transitions. This is not a bug - it is how iMovie handles transitions.
There are two settings for transition overlap - full and half. If you are using photos only, you may get the results you want by setting transition overlap to half.
