Have an iphone 3GS, 2 email accounts.  My work email account used to work.  Now if I send any emails from this account it only appears in my sent box.  Recipients internal and external do not receive.  IT person cannot figure why occurring.  Any insight?

Have a iphone 3GS; 2 email accounts.  one is for work.  It used to work fine until about Feb 2011.  Now when i send emails from my work account it only appears in the sent file.  Recipients do not get email.

This has nothing to do with your iPhone.
If a message is in the account's Sent mailbox, this means the message was successfully sent. If a message cannot be sent for whatever reason, it will remain in the Outbox.
What happens to a message after it was successfully sent has nothing to do with the email client or computer/device used to send the message.

    Did you check your gmail account to see if it is working OK?
    Are you sure you didn't make a typo when you entered the gmail address as a change?

  • Delivery report shows status of Pending for external address. Email sent to both internal and external addresses.

    We have an Exchange 2013 on-premise server and seem to have an issue with emails sent to internal and external users at the same time.
    The issue came to light because someone sent an email to 44 recipients, of which one was internal. None of the external recipients received the email. I checked the delivery report in the EAC and found the internal email marked as 'Delivered' and all of
    the external ones marked as 'Pending'. I checked the queues and there were none. I did some testing and sent an email to just one of the external addresses on the list, it arrived. I tried sending the email again to all of the recipients, the external ones
    all showed 'Pending'. I tried it again, but this time excluded the internal email address and all of the 43 external emails were immediately delivered.
    So it seems that the issue only arises when we are sending to both internal and external addresses.
    I then tried a test email to one internal address and one external address. The Delivery report says that the internal address was delivered immediately, while the external address is 'Pending' and gives more information saying: 'Message delivery is taking
    longer than expected. There may be system delays. For more information, contact your helpdesk.'. To add further mystery to this, the email was actually delivered.
    So, I have two concerns:
    First is seems that some emails sent both internally and externally are only arriving internally. This is a huge problem because I don't know how many have been affected. There may be many lost emails we don't know about.
    Second, it looks like I can't trust the delivery report. It says pending for some emails which didn't arrive, but it also says pending for some which did arrive. That is no good at all.
    For info the server is running Windows Server 2012. I have run a Microsoft Update to check if there are any to apply and the only Exchange one is a spam filter update, which I doubt has any bearing but I will apply when I get chance.

    It has the similar situation as yours.
    This issue occurs because a function in a message tracking component tries to obtain the information for the recipient instead of the external recipient.
    Please try to upgrade to the latest Exchange update to check whether this issue can be solved.
    Also please check whether Throttling has been set.
    Please run "Get-TransportService | fl" to check the MaxOutboundConnections parameter value.

  • All USB, internal and external do not work

    It does not recognize the keyboard, trackpad or internal bluetooth.
    When I connect an external keyboard or mouse does not recognize it either. If I connect a flash drive does have power (the LED lights flash drive), or connect a mighty mouse also has light, but the MacBook does not recognize either the mouse or pendrive.
    In system profile it does appear the USB controllers, but no device recognized, and if they produce energy, because if I connect a USB flash drive or a lamp, or a mighty mouse do the LEDs that light up for the devices. But for the system, both the boot and Mac OS X or Windows (bootcamp) not recognize it.
    If I connect to macbook by remote desktop, keyboard and mouse that I have, obviously, or use a program to control the mouse from the iphone via wifi also works as logitech touch mouse Touch Mouse
    I can not reset the pram, nvram, or anything that needs to press something before you can connect through remote desktop or touch mouse.
    Airport works, external display works, sound works, termal sensor works, fan speed works, battery and macsafe works, I can't to know if firewire works sorry.
    Any ideas?

    This has nothing to do with your iPhone.

  • MacBook Pro internal and external speakers not responding

    For the last 3-4 weeks, I've had odd bouts of incidents where the speakers (internal) stop responding at all.  I have a set of external speakers that are normally plugged into the computer, but they have also stopped producing sound.  Is there any way to troubleshoot this to determine the source of the problem.  (PS:  NOTHING works.  Even Skype contacts, iTunes playback, notification sounds -- everything is out.)

    Bad really, coz if you could see a red light it would be much easier to solve.  The red light would indicate it was operating as a toslink (digital audio) connector and the switch that changes it from analog to digital audio was stuck.  It can be unstuck by wiggling a toothpick or cocktail stick in the socket.  It means it's much harder to diagnose what your problem is.
    Suggest as a first stage that you attempt a PRAM reset followed by a SMC reset if still not working, then report back here.

  • Migrating from Entourage and now can't send mail except from  Mac account

    I've just started using Mail after using Entourage for many years and I must say it's been a frustrating start (having separate applications for Mail, Address Book and Calendar is a pita so far). But most importantly I can't get Mail to allow me to send mail from any account other than from my .Mac account (no problems receiving mail). I'm using the same outgoing server settings as in Entourage but no joy - I get an error message saying it can't use the outgoing server. I have no problems with this in Entourage. For example, from Entourage I can send mail using my BT Internet account or my Bulldog Home account using the following outgoing mail server settings:
    SMTP SERVER: mail.bulldoghome.com
    ACCOUNT ID: [email protected]
    PASSWORD: my email password
    Also, how do I access my hotmail?

    Ok here's another one. When I delete a mail retrieved from a non Mac mail account (eg my BT Internet account) and empty my Trash in Mail it does not delete the email off the (BT Internet) server. I have not checked "remove copy from server after retrieving a message" so that I can access the email from multiple locations. But when I do delete it I obviously want it removed from the server.

    Speed might not be optimal, but you'd be best using home sharing from a computer and controlling your Apple TV with the Remote app anyway.
    The direct answer to your question is yes, it will work.

    I want to set up Mail so that only 3 Users can access mail both internally and externally from the office, the others I want to allow internal mail to each other but not to send/receive externally. Is this possible? If so how do I configure this behaviour?

    I have this problem too. Am with Telstra/Bigpond and have been on the phone with them numerous times to numerous people repeating the same steps: Troubleshooting, changes settings on the phone to include POPlive and different port settings, setting the server to keep emails for 7 days on both the iPhone and Outlook, resetting the iPhone 4s and deleting and reinstalling the mail account.  I set up a gmail account to confirm that my iPhone can receive emails and it can.  My husbands iPhone does not receive emails also. HELP.

    I would start with taking a look at the settings to make sure that you are able to send and receive messages. If everything looks good then the next step would be to remove the accounts and add them back in.     AT&T does not issue unlock codes for iPhones.  I had to think a minute, because I never had a 3GS myself, and thought it might have been different for them, but my daughter had one, and the unlock process is the same as for the 4.  After AT&T approves the unlock (which means the contract has been fulfilled), they notify Apple.  AT&T then sends the phone's owner an email detailing the process to unlock the phone, which consists of backing up the data, then restoring the phone as new in iTunes (which is where the unlock comes in), then restoring the data backup and then syncing.  I went through this to unlock my AT&T iPhone 4.  SO, I'm not sure what the unlock code business is about, except that it doesn't sound legit.
