I have an iphone 3gs. I have 7 separate email accounts on the phone. Everytime I update, it reloads all of the emails as new unread emails. Is there any way to either delete all or alternatively stop it from reloading all prior emails?

I can click each one, move them to trash and then delete all. However, I am wondering whether there is any way to either (a) delete all from the inbox or (b) stop them from reloading?

Hello Kizzyk,
I would start with taking a look at the settings to make sure that you are able to send and receive messages. If everything looks good then the next step would be to remove the accounts and add them back in. He needs to have his own account, the sooner the better.
As for content, non-protected songs can simply be copied to his own new library, and he can use them. As for protected content and apps, anything he still wants will have to be replaced.

Is there any way to restore deleted calendars back onto my laptop from my iPhone.

I recently installed Maverick on my laptop and have been having trouble syncing my iphone calendars with my laptop calendars, like I used to.
Like an idiot, and without any research, I joined iCloud thinking I could sync calendars this way. I didn't realize that it deleted my calendars off my laptop in creating my iCloud calendars. The syncing with my iphone still didn't work, and so again, like an idiot and without research, I deleted my iCloud account ot discover that all my calendars on my laptop are now gone.
My iphone still has the calendars on it, (albeit old and out of date), so is there a way to restore the deleted calendars back to my laptop from my iphone or from the backup on my laptop.?
Running Maverick on laptop and iTunes 11.1.3. iPhone is an older 3gs but fully updated running 6.1.3

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it, then copy it to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

Sure, bring your 3GS in and they will give you about 10% off towards the cost of a new one. You would be far better off to sell it yourself.

Close out of the mail app, double click the home button and completely close out of the mail app.
Then do a reset, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release then wait for the phone to boot back up.
then check your mail again.

I assume that you don't have the installation discs, so:
1. Reboot
2. Hold command + s key down after you hear the chime.
3. When you get a text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account (hitting return after each line):
(Type these commands very carefully)
mount -uw /
rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
shutdown -h now
4. You will go through the setup process again, create a new admin account, login to it and then change your existing account password or whatever else you need to do. You can delete the account you made in this process, or not.

I found one other way to do it. I just deleted them all out of my iTunes library. Now I can re-import them from Window's My Music file with the original artists' names intact.

Do you have a back up?
If not you're into using file recovery software like File Salvage - you can download a free trial and it will scan the disk for you and tell you with might be recoverable. Actual recovery will require that you purchase the app. There may be many files with the same or similar names. Always recover the largest file size.
There are other such apps. Search on Macupdate or the App Store

There are lots of ideas floating on the web for this particular issue - all of which I tried. I had the same problem and it turned out to be my USB cable. I thought the cable was fine as it would charge my phone and play but the data transfer pin was bent. I replaced the cable and it fixed the problem. Worth a shot as it is an easy fix!
