Have such a long parameter value how do I pass it?

I'm using 10g report. I have a MFC module that calls this oracle report using the link.
I can create a URL and pass the parameters, it works fine, but some occasions, I have to pass down very long (more than 10,000 characters) parameter value to the report. I know there is a limit on URL length.
In this case, what do i have to do?
I heard there is a way to use a parameter file instead.
This file doesn't have a size limit?
where can I find the document regarding this matter?

If for that client_id form2 has any record it is displaying fine but if there is no record for the passing client_id , form2 could not get assigned to that client_id automatically. I want to get that parameter value in form2 so that I can add a new record (detail table). Please help!!
SumitaIn your servlet you can read directly the file using request.getInputStream().
In this way you get the InputStream of the file selected by the user.

CRVS2010 Beta - Missing parameter values
I want to export my report to pdf file and I want to set some parameters in report in runtime.
But when I try to do it I have exception "Missing parameter values".
Productversion: Visual Studio 2010 + Crystal Report 2008 + service pack v3.
I read that problem was resolved in service pack v2.
But now I don't have any idea how to fix my problem.

Invalid parameter value Error while Extending PoReqDistributionsVO
Hi,
My Requirement is to restrict user from enetring certain values in a field in iProcurement Page based on some condition. The attribute on which I have to place the validation is CodeCombinationId and the VO name is PoReqDistributionsVO. So, I extended the VO and generated the VORowImpl class for the extended VO. Please note that I have extended the VO just to override the setter method for the CodeCombinationId in the VORowImpl. I did not change any other thing on the VO. Once I deploy the code, I am getting the following error for the first time:

And then if I try to open the page again, it gives me multiple distribution lines. (Say for example I have only one distribution line for the requistion line and my distribution table PO_REQ_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL has total 20 records, then all the 20 records are getting displayed in the front end.)
So, clearly after I extended the VO, the viewlink is not able to identify the viewlink.
I went through the following thread:

As suggested in the therad, I thought of copying all the view link related methods from the original VO files. But, I could not get any Viewlink related information in any of the three seeded files PoReqDistributionsVO.xml, PoReqDistributionsVOImpl.class and PoReqDistributionsVORowImpl.class. But I can find one View Link oracle.apps.icx.por.req.server.ReqLineToDistributionsVL in teh server which is linking PoRequisitionLinesVO to PoReqDistributionsVO.
Could anyone suggest me what I need to do to resolve the issue.

VO Substitution : JBO-25006 : Invalid parameter value passed for source

I want to add 2 new fields (attribute columns) to an existing VO for which I am trying to use VO substitution. I have followed these steps.
1. Downloaded all the class files from server to local machine
2. Opened an OA project and extended the VO by changing sql query to add 2 attribute columns
3. Added 2 transient VO attributes to map them to the added fields in sql query
4. Create a BC4J substitution and imported jpx file using jpximporter
While opening the page which consisted the original VO that I extended (creditRequestsVO), I am getting below error. Appreciate if anyone can throw any light on this.

Retrieve Crystal SQL statements without first submitting parameter values?

I am retrieving SQL statements for Crystal reports without issue, but a large number of our reports have parameters and for these the following error is thrown when I try to retrieve the SQL statement via RAS using getSQLStatement():

I have to put a parameter value in a text-symbol and insert that text-symbol in a field.
Ex : If Text-001 = Field name & unknown
the desired output I require is
itab-field2 = Fileld name field1 unknown.
Just like displaying of a message, is it possible with text symbol ??

Create two text-symbols
001 --> Field Name
002 --> Unknown
Have a Variable of type char . --> DATA var type char20 .
CONCATENATE text-001 P_parameter text-002 INTO var separated by Space .

How do I pass a void *pointer to a dll in LabView
I did read previous posts on the matter and tried just about everything, inlcuding defining the pointer as a U32 int.
What I am trying to do is program FLASH using WindRiver VisionPROBE EST...
I do have some sucesses... )
I can open a connection to the EST, initialize it, start & stop the target. No problem here..
Here are some additional details:
I can't read memory, write to the target register or program the FLASH, yet. Any advice on how to get further with this? Typically, when doing this using WR's visionClick sw, we need to use a register file which sets up the target. I have not seen any reference to this in their API.
I can convert to CVI if necessary. I am using the dll's from WindRi
ver. I'd prefer keeping everything in LV, but LW-CVI is fine.

status = EST_WriteTargetRegister (long handle, Unsign int register, void * value)

How to include input user parameter values in XML report output?
How can i include input user parameter values in XML report output. I a have a report which can be run by providing start date and end date. I would like to include value of these parameters in XML output to enable me to figure out dates for report, just by looking at XML output.

manishI think all the XML attributes can contain lexicals. If you bring up the property palette against the report object you can just set the following:
XML Tag Attributes: myParameter="&<P_1>"
where P_1 is your user parameter. -
How to understand the strange parameter values shown by 'pstack core'
I encounterred a problem that led to a core dump. I use 'pstack core' to shown the calling stack.
However I could hardly understand some of the parameter values below:

Why did the 'this' pointer of the instance of class ComEndPoint become 0xc? I don't think it is a valid value of pointer. Does anybody have any idea about this problem?

According to the source code, the 3rd parameter in the function below, which value is 0x66, was not changed in the scope of the function. However it became 0x0 when it was used as the 4th parameter to call the function above. What't the matter?

I heard that Sun C++ uses 'register windows' to pass the parameters, i0~i5 are used for the first 6 ones. Somebody told me that what I saw in the pstack might not be creditable because the registers might be changed within the function. Is that so? Would anybody plz tell me more details?

The function call instruction advances the "register window" to reveal the next set of registers, if there is one. If not, the registers are spilled to the stack to free up a window. The function return instruction moves the window back. (It's a purely hardware feature.) Eight of the registers in adjacent windows overlap, the origin of the "window" term. Registers %o0 thorugh %o7 in the caller become registers %i0 through %i7 in the called function.
On SPARC and x64, some function arguments are passed in registers, depending on how many arguments there are and their types. (The x86 architecture has no registers available for passing arguments.) On entry to a function, the parameters passed in registers might be saved on the stack, but do not necessarily need to be saved on SPARC. The Solaris ABI requires that space for the registers be allocated, but the space is not necessarily used.
In a core dump, the actual registers, particularly for functions other than the current one, are not available. The pstack operation doesn't know how many parameters a function has or what type they are. It shows the contents of the first 6 words on the stack that would hold arguments, if there were arguments, and if they were actually saved on the stack.
In optimized code on any platform, the stack area for a variable or argument is not kept up to date. Computations are kept in registers to the extent possible, and saved in memory only when necessary.
On SPARC in particular, the argument values shown in a stack trace need not be accurate. -
help. I have a Google Hangout in 40mins and my sound seems to have vanished. I went to Sys Prefs and it came up with Digital Out....and the Internal Speakers option is no longer there. How do I reboot, or fix this please?
There are many possible causes for this issue. Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Some may not apply to your model. Back up all data before making any changes.
1. Start with the steps recommended in this support article. Don't skip any of the steps. It's the starting point for further efforts to solve the problem.
2. Make sure you have a fully up-to-date installation of OS X.
3. If you've installed an application called "Memory Clean" or any other third-party software that is supposed to "clean" or "purge" memory automatically, remove it according to the developer's instructions and restart. You should do that even if the software is not causing the problem, because it's useless.
4. Other third-party software that has been reported to interfere with sound output includes "Boom" and "Samsung Kies." If applicable, uninstall according to the developer's instructions (not by dragging something to the Trash.)
5. If an AirPlay device is selected for sound output from iTunes (or from other applications via third-party software such as "Airfoil"), deselect it.
6. Launch the application "Audio MIDI Setup" by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search and selecting it in the results (it should be at the top.) Select Built-in Output from the list on the left. If the Mute boxes are checked, uncheck them.
7. If a red light is visible in the audio-out port when sound should be playing, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a mini-stereo jack of the proper size. If not, the machine needs to be serviced. Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by the warranty.
If there's no red light, the switch may still be stuck in the headphone position. Try to free it the same way.
8. Disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard and mouse, if applicable. If more than one display is connected, disconnect all extra ones. Restart and test.
9. If you have a MacBook Air, turn off Bluetooth and restart.
10. Start up in safe mode. Don't log in; just restart as usual when the login screen appears. When you do, make sure the words "Safe Boot" do not appear in the login screen. If they do, the system is still in safe mode and sound won't work.
11. Reset the NVRAM.
12. Reset the SMC.
13. Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
