VO Substitution : JBO-25006 : Invalid parameter value passed for source

Hello All,
I want to add 2 new fields (attribute columns) to an existing VO for which I am trying to use VO substitution. I have followed these steps.
1.     Downloaded all the class files from server to local machine
2.     Opened an OA project and extended the VO by changing sql query to add 2 attribute columns
3.     Added 2 transient VO attributes to map them to the added fields in sql query
4.     Create a BC4J substitution and imported jpx file using jpximporter
While opening the page which consisted the original VO that I extended (creditRequestsVO), I am getting below error. Appreciate if anyone can throw any light on this.
Exception Details.

  • Invalid parameter value Error while Extending PoReqDistributionsVO

    Hi,
    My Requirement is to restrict user from enetring certain values in a field in iProcurement Page based on some condition. The attribute on which I have to place the validation is CodeCombinationId and the VO name is PoReqDistributionsVO. So, I extended the VO and generated the VORowImpl class for the extended VO. Please note that I have extended the VO just to override the setter method for the CodeCombinationId in the VORowImpl. I did not change any other thing on the VO. Once I deploy the code, I am getting the following error for the first time:
    ## Detail 0 ##
    oracle.jbo.InvalidParamException: JBO-25006: Invalid parameter value PoReqDistributionsVO for source passed to method ViewLinkImpl.setSource. Explanation: view def mismatch
    And then if I try to open the page again, it gives me multiple distribution lines. (Say for example I have only one distribution line for the requistion line and my distribution table PO_REQ_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL has total 20 records, then all the 20 records are getting displayed in the front end.)
    So, clearly after I extended the VO, the viewlink is not able to identify the viewlink.
    I went through the following thread:
    oracle.jbo.InvalidParamException: JBO-25006: Invalid parameter value
    As suggested in the therad, I thought of copying all the view link related methods from the original VO files. But, I could not get any Viewlink related information in any of the three seeded files PoReqDistributionsVO.xml, PoReqDistributionsVOImpl.class and PoReqDistributionsVORowImpl.class. But I can find one View Link oracle.apps.icx.por.req.server.ReqLineToDistributionsVL in teh server which is linking PoRequisitionLinesVO to PoReqDistributionsVO.
    Could anyone suggest me what I need to do to resolve the issue.

    Any suggestion on the above issue?

    error during ApplyLogOnInfo() to the tables contained within a report.  Now, this is a "new" error because this was not being thrown when the application was compiled for .Net 1.1 using the Crystal Reports v9.1.5000.0 components.  When the application was migrated to .Net 2.0, and set to reference the the 10.2.3600 set of managed components, this started appearing.
    Also, this will only occur on certain .rpt files that are loaded, and can be thrown when also executing the VerifyDatabase() method.  By certain .rpt files, I mean those that have been opened and saved with Crystal Reports 2008 (warning message when saving indicated that the report will not be able to be opened in Crystal Reports versions earilier the 9.0; should I not assume this is correct?).

    Right, I am aware of the IDE plugin functionality (BTW, I'm going to guess no, but is the functionality present in the "Express" editions?).  When a viewer application is created in VS, you can convert/open it in #d and have all of the designer props/pages available.  When manually adding the viewer in a new #d project, you can add it, but it doesn't show up visually in the forms designer window (boggle).
    > So just make a simple report and try to view it. can you see it?
    I will investigate this probably tomorrow...
    > Also is your report have any parameter? Dynamic or static?
    Yes, there are parameters embedded (?) in the .rpt.  There are no parameters added at runtime; only the parameter values are set at runtime.

  • Popup Key LOV, NULL and "Invalid numeric value undefined for column"

    Hello.
    I've created an item based on database column of NUMBER type and set the following properties:
    Display As = Popup Key LOV (Displays description, returns key value)
    List of values definition=select 'display_value' d, 1 r from dual
    Null display value=%
    Null return value=
    Display Null=Yes
    When I select "%" in the LOV and try to apply changes to database I get error:

    Error Unable to process row of table TTT.
    If I set Display As = Select List, all works fine. But I need Popup Key LOV.
    Could anybody help me?
    I use Application Express 2.2.1.00.04

    Hi all,
    I did my homework and solved this issue. First I would like to thank Patrick Wolf for the invaluable help he gives out on thread Re: Null value handling in LOVs The code presented here is just a minor edit to his code, but an essential one when dealing with Popup Key LOV items.
    Here's what I did:
    1. Create an Application Process.
    Name: RemoveNulls
    Sequence: 0
    Point: On Submit: After Page Submission - Before Computations and Validations
    Process Text:
    BEGIN
        FOR rItem IN
          ( SELECT ITEM_NAME
              FROM APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_ITEMS
             WHERE APPLICATION_ID   = TO_NUMBER(:APP_ID)
               AND PAGE_ID          IN (TO_NUMBER(:APP_PAGE_ID), 0)
               AND LOV_DISPLAY_NULL = 'Yes'
               AND LOV_DEFINITION   IS NOT NULL
               AND LOV_NULL_VALUE   IS NULL
        LOOP
            IF (V(rItem.ITEM_NAME) = '%null' || '%' OR V(rItem.ITEM_NAME) = 'undefined')
            THEN
                Apex_Util.set_session_state(rItem.ITEM_NAME, NULL);
            END IF;
        END LOOP;
    END;Error Message: #SQLERRM#Condition: None
    2. You should be able to submit a Popup Key LOV with a NULL value now.
    Once again, THANKS, Patrick! You rock! I'm seriously thinking of trying ApexLib now :)

  • CRS-5008: Invalid attribute value: ce0 for the network interface

    Hi all,
    we try to install grid infrastructure 11GR2 (11.2.0.1) into Solaris Zone with shared network interface.
    We also modified scirpt racgvip, so it will be able to login (via ssh with key authorization) to the global zone and add or remove interface on zone. Script itself works fine.

    Does anybody know how the orarootagent checks for the network resource?
    It seems that there are some procedures (NetworkAgent::checkLink, NetInterface::sGetIpAddress) inside it. But the problem is that this file is binary.
    Or may be there are some ways to track how orarootagent checks?

  • Binding parameter value pass to VO's query which contain IN clause

    Dear All,
    This based on "IN" clause of VO's query

    d.dep_id = e.dep_id

    So the problem is how parameter pass to this binding variable. (my binding variable param) ?
    my parameter value from IMPL class as --> param = "Manager, CEO, Labor, TeramLeader"
    When execute it should be display as following :
    SELECT DISTINCT d.dep_id, d.dep_name, e.emp_name from Department d, Employee e where

    Hi,
    create a client interface method in viweobjectimpl, somewhat like this
        public void executeForBranches(int[] branch_code){
            ViewCriteria newVc = createViewCriteria();
            ViewCriteriaRow vcr = newVc.createViewCriteriaRow();
            StringBuilder sb=new StringBuilder();

            //System.err.println("Param = " + str);
            vcr.setAttribute("OriginBranch", " IN " + str);
            newVc.insertRow(vcr);
            applyViewCriteria(newVc);
            //System.err.println(getQuery());
            executeQuery();
        }just dragand drop the clientmethod to your taskflow..
    for this you would need to remove the inclause from query
    SELECT DISTINCT d.dep_id, d.dep_name, e.emp_name from Department d, Employee e where
    d.dep_id = e.dep_id

  • Parameter Value passing issue to Web i report from Design Studio APP

    Hi all,
    I am trying to pass values to 2 parameters in a web I report called DIM1_REPORT and DIM2_REPORT. The values with space for example, Computer Sciences Corporation is getting passed as Computer\Sciences\Corporation Looks like the space is getting replaced with \ and as the values doesn't match the database values, no results are being retrieved. I tried using Convert.urlEncode function as well. But no luck still having same issue. Below is the URL,
    "http://servername:8080/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sIDType=CUID&iDocID=AWD5NloJ4rVKoi2Y8m89GY0"+
    "&lsMDIM1_REPORT=" + GLOBAL_SCRIPTS_1.DIM1_FILTER_SCRIPT() +
    "&lsMDIM2_REPORT=" + GLOBAL_SCRIPTS_1.DIM2_FILTER_SCRIPT()
    Has any one faced this issue and have a solution for this? Appreciate any help on this
    Thanks
    Nithin

    Hi Mustafa,
    Thanks for the response.
    I tried to replace the \ with %20 using the following code
    Convert.replaceAll(GLOBAL_SCRIPTS_1.DIM1_FILTER_SCRIPT(), "\ ", "%20");
    But getting error in the script editor saying
    I think \ is causing this issue. If I use any other character other than \ in search expression its not throwing any error in script editor. Any idea is \ considered as delimiter/break in design studio?
    Any other way to fix this issue in design studio?
    Thanks,
    Nithin

  • Parameter Values passed in WEBHTML or Forms Personalization Parameters

    Hi All,
    I'm calling my OA JSP from a core Form via a menu item enabled via Forms Personalization.
    The JSP was tested in Jdeveloper called from another jsp that passed it a Project Number and Task Number that it retrieved and displayed.
    I would like to pass the same parameters from the Core Form that it is enabled on.
    I have set up the parameters on the Parameters section of the personalization using in the format
    'projectNumber=':block.item||'&taskNumber='||block_item
    When I press the verify button the JSP run successfully, however when I rerun the
    form the JSP does not return the data.
    Does the form function definition webhtml need the parameters defining as well and
    if so what would the format be!
    Thanks in advance
    Cheers
    Guy

    Does the form function definition webhtml need the
    parameters defining as well and
    if so what would the format be!No it doesn't. You can pass in the values from the Form Fields using the below statement in the parameters window.
    'param='||${item.<block>.<item>.value}
    Please note that you need to close your form (that you've personalized) and re-open for personalization to reflect.
    HTH.

  • Invalid Form value passed?!

    Hi there,
    We recently migrated to CF MX 7 from ol' CF 5. This error
    started appearing, and I'm not sure but maybe it is related to text
    encoding on the site.
    This error appears (sometimes!) when certain text is entered
    in the textarea box for posting via a comments form. Not sure if it
    is related to single quotes or high ascii. Would either of these
    possible generate such an error?
    The error comes up regardless of whether using CFFORM or if I
    convert the form to <form> the error comes up with the same
    sample text.
    Suggestions appreciated!
    -Chuck

    You can also use several CF functions or UDFs to
    automatically convert all special characters to their URL-escaped
    or HTML-formatted equivalents. Try URLEncodedFormat(),
    HTMLEditFormat() and PreserveSingleQuotes for starters. Look up
    string UDFs on CFLib.org - there are plenty there, including those
    that will strip/convert all html code as well.

  • How can I show Search Form parameter values in URI of Results page?

    I have searched through these pages for posts relating to caching but haven't seen any that relate to my issue.
    We run a website that accesses data through search forms and returns matching data to the requester in a results page. The search criteria are entered in a form and the results page is generated by a servlet that gets the search parameter values that the user entered using the GET method.
    I would like rewrite this Search page using JDeveloper to bring our old code up to date and take advantage of new features that should help performance. In particular, I want to utilise the WebCache.
    To use the WebCache effectively, the cache needs to know what the search criteria were when it delivers a page so that repeated requests using the same criteria can be served directly from the cache.
    The data retrieved by a query may change from one search to to the next so I can't use time-based caching. But, I can use the WebCache Invalidation interface from the back-end DB server to flush old data out of the WebCache when it is changed, but to flush out the correct pages I need to know the parameter values passed.
    If I just follow the demos, it seems like the search parameters are all hidden in beans or something which means that the Web Cache can't be used for what I want. The parameter values are important.
    So my question is: is there a way of showing the search parameters used in the URI to the Results page? Can the old GET method of parameter passing be used (or can I somehow just put the old style parameters onto the URI?)
    Alternatively, is there a simple How To or Demo on how to use the Web Caching facility with JSF?
    (ADF Caching and Java Object caching do not seem appropriate for my needs. ADF caching seems to be limited to having fragments cached for fixed periods of time and Java Object caching is orders of magnitude slower and involves the Application Server.)
    Thanks for any advice,
    Andy

    Sorry - should have said I'm using JDev 10.1.3.0.4 with JSF & ADF BC.

  • Using "and","or"(eg Anand Y) as parameter values to BI Publisher reports

    I'm trying to pass a name parameter containing "and" for eg Anand Y, This value does not get passed to the report.Log reports invalid parameter value.
    Has any one faced this issue before?

    Rainer,
    Thanks for your reply. It helped me work around seeing the Adobe error message.
    Like you suggested I changed the report query attributes to use the ADVANCED xml-structure property (so my xml file would not be empty).
    Here is what my xml file looks like when the query returns no-data-found.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <DOCUMENT>
    <DATE>03-MAR-08</DATE>
    <USER_NAME>TDIPPER</USER_NAME>
    <APP_ID>750</APP_ID>
    <APP_NAME>APEX - Application Builder</APP_NAME>
    <TITLE>Monthly_Detail_Report</TITLE>
    <P5_MONTH_FORMATTED>2008 February</P5_MONTH_FORMATTED>
    <REGION ID="0">ORA-01403: no data found
    </REGION>
    </DOCUMENT>
    Here is what my xml file looks like when the query returns data. For this example I've removed most the data... I just want to show my structure.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <DOCUMENT>
    <DATE>03-MAR-08</DATE>
    <USER_NAME>TDIPPER</USER_NAME>
    <APP_ID>750</APP_ID>
    <APP_NAME>APEX - Application Builder</APP_NAME>
    <TITLE>Monthly_Detail_Report</TITLE>
    <P5_MONTH_FORMATTED>2008 January </P5_MONTH_FORMATTED>
    <REGION ID="0">
    <ROWSET>
    <ROW>
    <POSTING_MONTH>01-JAN-08</POSTING_MONTH>
    </ROW>
    In the rtf template like you suggested I added conditional logic to show a no-data-found message else show the contents of my report. The key idea here is that if ROW (holds the data) is defined in the xml structure then there is data returned from the query else I show the no data message.
    <?if:not(ROW)?>
    No Data Found For Specified Search Criteria.
    <?end if?>
    <?if: (ROW)?>
    ...detail of my report is here...
    <?end if?>
    Thanks for your help in resolving the issue. I do prefer to have Oracle fix the issue of showing the Adobe error when report queries don't find data, but this is a good work around until something better comes along.
    Thanks,
    Todd

  • Value for a parameter based on another parameter value

    Hi all,
    i am using report 6i and 10g db.
    I have to create a report based on some parameter values. For example
    Two parameter named as P_emp_code and P_emp_name
    In the first parameter p_emp_code has list of values like empcode emp_full_name ie like 0002108 Vanitha Lanet Mendez
    when user select P_emp_code i want to display the fullname in p_emp_name .
    I tried as follows in list of values
    select emp_fullname from emp_master where emp_code=:p_emp_code
    then getting error bind variable cannot be used
    Please suggest a way .
    Thanks
    Rincy

    Hello,
    The thing you are asking for set and editing the reports parameter form's value. Then i don't think you can do this by using the report parameter form.
    But there are two alternatives for this task.
    1. Create one form using form builder and pass the parameter and run the report from there. So, you can use the code as you showed in your first post.
    2. Why don't you make this Title setting automatically? I Mean using the gender column (with decode/case condition) of same table.

  • How to disable "Enter Parameter Values" for optional paramters?

    I'm having issues getting the Crystal Reports .NET Viewer to suppress the "Enter Parameter Values" dialog for optional parameters.  I have templates created using Crystal Reports 2008 and am linking against the CR for VS 2010 runtime.
    Within the report template the optional paramter has "Optional Prompt" set to "True".  This particular parameter also allows multiple values and is used in record selection.  Within the record selection it is using HasValue().
    It seems the parameter is set up properly as I have other parameters that are set within the code that are not prompted for.  If I pass in the optional parameter through the code the "Enter Paramater Values" dialog also does not appear and the report is generated correctly.  All of the parameters are set using ParameterFields and they are set before the ReportSource is set.
    Looking through the .NET API documentation it seems like the CrystalReportViewer should have an "EnableParameterPrompt" property that would do what I want however it doesn't seem to be a valid parameter as I get compile errors when I try to use it...  Not sure if it matters or not but I am using managed C++ and our application is built using Visual Studio 2005.  Could that maybe have something to do with it?
    Thanks,
    -Ben

    OK, I'm going to answer my own question as with a little more digging I was able to find out that I needed to set some stuff on the report document to specify that there are no values.  Still not sure why "EnableParameterPrompt" is not valid for me though as it seems like that would work as well.  At any rate here is what I needed to do:
    ReportDocument->ParameterFields[<Optional Parameter Name>]->CurrentValues->Clear();
    ReportDocument->ParameterFields[<Optional Parameter Name>]->CurrentValues->IsNoValue = true;

  • Need Help: Dynamically displaying parameter values for a procedure.

    Problem Statement: Generic Code should display the parameter values dynamically by taking "package name" and "procedure name" as inputs and the values needs to be obtained from the parameters of the wrapper procedure.
    Example:
    a) Let us assume that there is an application package called customer.
    create or replace package spec customer
    as
    begin
    TYPE cust_in_rec_type IS RECORD
    cust_id NUMBER,
    ,cust_name VARCHAR2(25) );
    TYPE cust_role_rec_type IS RECORD
    (cust_id NUMBER,
    role_type VARCHAR2(20)
    TYPE role_tbl_type IS TABLE OF cust_role_rec_type INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER;
    Procedure create_customer
    p_code in varchar2
    ,p_cust_rec cust_in_rec_type
    ,p_cust_roles role_tbl_type
    end;
    b) Let us assume that we need to test the create customer procedure in the package.For that various test cases needs to be executed.
    c) We have created a testing package as mentioned below.
    create or replace package body customer_test
    as
    begin
    -- signature of this wrapper is exactly same as create_customer procedure.
    procedure create_customer_wrapper
    p_code in varchar2
    ,p_cust_rec customer.cust_in_rec_type
    ,p_cust_roles customer.role_tbl_type
    as
    begin
    //<<<<<---Need to display parameter values dynamically for each test case-->>>>>
    Since the signature of this wrapper procedure is similar to actual app procedure, we can get all the parameter definition for this procedure using ALL_ARGUMENTS table as mentioned below.
    //<<
    select * from ALL_ARGUMENTS where package_name = CUSTOMER' and object_name = 'CREATE_CUSTOMER'
    but the problem is there are other procedures exists inside customer package like update_customer, add_address so need to have generalized code that is independent of each procedure inside the package.
    Is there any way to achieve this.
    Any help is appreciated.
    // >>>>
    create_customer
    p_code => p_code
    ,p_cust_rec => p_cust_rec
    ,p_cust_roles => p_cust_roles
    end;
    procedure testcase1
    as
    l_cust_rec customer.cust_in_rec_type ;
    l_cust_roles customer.role_tbl_type;
    begin
    l_cust_rec.cust_id := 1;
    l_cust_rec.cust_name := 'ABC';
    l_cust_roles(1).cust_id := 1;
    l_cust_roles(1).role_type := 'Role1';
    create_customer_wrapper
    p_code => 'code1'
    ,p_cust_rec => l_cust_rec
    ,p_cust_roles => l_cust_role
    end;
    procedure testcase2
    as
    l_cust_rec customer.cust_in_rec_type ;
    l_cust_roles customer.role_tbl_type;
    begin
    l_cust_rec.cust_id := 2;
    l_cust_rec.cust_name := 'DEF';
    l_cust_roles(1).cust_id := 2;
    l_cust_roles(1).role_type := 'Role2';
    create_customer_wrapper
    p_code => 'code2'
    ,p_cust_rec => l_cust_rec
    ,p_cust_roles => l_cust_role
    end;
    end;

    Not possible to dynamically in a procedure, deal with the parameter values passed by a caller. There is no struct or interface that a procedure can use to ask the run-time to give it the value of the 1st or 2nd or n parameter.
    There could perhaps be some undocumented/unsupported method - as debugging code (<i>DBMS_DEBUG</i>) is able to dynamically reference a variable (see Get_Value() function). But debugging requires a primary session (the debug session) and the target session (session being debugged).
    So easy answer is no - the complex answer is.. well, complex as the basic functionality for this do exists in Oracle in its DBMS_DEBUG feature, but only from a special debug session.
    The easiest way would be to generate the wrapper itself, dynamically. This allows your to generate code that displays the parameter values and add whatever other code needed into the wrapper. The following example demonstrates the basics of this approach:
    SQL> -- // our application proc called FooProc
    SQL> create or replace procedure FooProc( d date, n number, s varchar2 ) is
      2  begin
      3          -- // do some stuff
      4          null;
      5  end;
      6  /
    Procedure created.
    SQL>
    SQL> create or replace type TArgument is object(
      2          name            varchar2(30),
      3          datatype        varchar2(30)
      4  );
      5  /
    Type created.
    SQL>
    SQL> create or replace type TArgumentList is table of TArgument;
      2  /
    Type created.
    SQL>
    SQL> -- // create a proc that creates wrappers dynamically
    SQL> create or replace procedure GenerateWrapper( procName varchar2 ) is
      2          procCode        varchar2(32767);
      3          argList         TArgumentList;
      4  begin
      5          select
      6                  TArgument( argument_name, data_type )
      7                          bulk collect into
      8                  argList
      9          from    user_arguments
    10          where   object_name = upper(procName)
    11          order by position;
    12
    13          procCode := 'create or replace procedure Test'||procName||'( ';
    14          for i in 1..argList.Count
    15          loop
    16                  procCode := procCode||argList(i).name||' '||argList(i).datatype;
    17                  if i < argList.Count then
    18                          procCode := procCode||', ';
    19                  end if;
    20          end loop;
    21
    22          procCode := procCode||') as begin ';
    23          procCode := procCode||'DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line( '''||procName||''' ); ';

    28          end loop;
    29
    30          -- // similarly, a call to the real proc can be added into the test wrapper
    31          procCode := procCode||'end;';
    32
    33          execute immediate procCode;
    34  end;
    35  /

  • Group by parameter value

    Hi,
    How can I group by a parameter value?
    For instance, I have the following:
    <?for-each-group:Opportunity[there is a filter here];./ResponsibleDepartment?>
    This grouping works fine if I enter field values such as "ResponsibleDepartment" (as in the above exmaple), "Product", and "User". Each of these values refer to actual field names. I would like instead to use a parameter, but unable to use a parameter as in the following:
    <?for-each-group:Opportunity[there is a filter here];./$ParamGroupBy?>
    (the parameters that the user can choose are the actual field names).
    This results in error. Can I not use a parameter in this way in a group?

    Hey Sorry. Didnt test it.
    If its going to be a xdoxslt variable then you can do it as
    <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX,'grp', 'DEPT')?>
    <?for-each-group:/ROOT/EMPLOYEE; ./*[name()=xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'grp')]?>
    <?NAME?>
    <?SALARY?>
    <?end for-each-group?>
    For the sample xml
    <ROOT>
    <EMPLOYEE>
    <NAME>Name1</NAME>
    <DEPT>Sales</DEPT>
    <SALARY>1000</SALARY>
    </EMPLOYEE>
    <EMPLOYEE>
    <NAME>Name2</NAME>
    <DEPT>Development</DEPT>
    <SALARY>1200</SALARY>
    </EMPLOYEE>
    </ROOT>
    I am not sure how it can be done for xsl variables.
    You can refer http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/2006/05/dynamic_sorting_or_sort_by_par_1.html for more details on its usage.
    The blog has usage details of xsl variables too in this context.
