Having major connection problems lately

Hi everyone.
I've been having some serious connection problems lately. It just started all of the sudden and I'm hoping someone may have had and successfully troubleshot the issue.
Recently, I can't stay connected to the FTP server. I'm constantly getting messages like these:
"The connection to the remote host has been lost. Click refresh to reconnect."
and
"An FTP error occurred - cannot get remote folder information. Dreamweaver encountered an internal data error. Please try the operation again."
It connects sometimes. It successfully uploads files sometimes, but rarely. What's really odd is that I am looking at the remote files in DW... it's typically only when I try a PUT operation that the errors pop up. Also, it successfully DELETES the remote version of the file that's being uploaded, then errors on the upload, so it is DELETING files from the server and then not replacing them with the updated version.
Very odd.
I can connect via a browser just fine, and the web host said they had no trouble connecting either. Has anyone seen this before? It just started out of no where.
Oh, and I have set exceptions for DW in the firewall, so that shouldn't be the issue. Sometimes, when I've power-cycled my router it works for a bit, then stops again. Could it be in the router?? I mean, I'm always connected to the net, it's just these FTP operations that are not working.

Ok no difference, I don't get any drive errors that seem significant or numerous, sometimes I don't get any at all, the disk always verifies and I haven't had to run a repair on it yet. I've gotton one or two drive errors, I'll save them next time I run either DU or DW.... however with permissions, there are a lot and they all fix (except: see below: Last 3: ACL errors are always there) but as I keep having to do force quits and system re boots they keep coming back; posted them below IDK if this will help you to help me, LOL... but figured it couldn't hurt, the ones below are re-occuring I know i've seen them b4. . . Don't know if this makes a difference but on initial install I had several font conflicts w/system fonts, I renamed suitcases and that error message hasn't come back . . . but do you think this could be a font issue . . . I have like 12,000 fonts of which a couple hundred are ususally always active . . . IDK it doesn't make sense to me it would be, but you never know... just a shot in the dark
I also saved my last PS crash report and it was like 100 Pages long, I've never seen one that long, I make a pdf of it and post link to my idisk, if its something that you can interpet.

OSX Mavericks having internet connection problems.

Just updated to OSX Mavericks on my early 2011 MacBook Pro, and it's having internet connection problems. I'm using wi-fi, and so far only Firefox and Mail will connect. All other programs (such as iTunes and App Store) won't establish a connection. This is a problem that only started after I installed Mavericks. What can I do to fix this? Thanks in advance.

App Store / iTunes Store relies on Safari settings if you can't access secure sites from Safari then they won't work... Reset Safari and make sure Block Cookies Setting is not set to Always. You can also try to create a new user and see if it works there to help isolate the issue.

HT6030 Having major Mail problems since I updated Maverick on my 27" iMac. Delays deleting emails and moving emails to other folders. Anyone else having this issue? If so, any known fixes?

I have an iMac that around 3 years old. Just installed Mavericks when it first was released. I also have a Time Capsule (2TB) that runs my network to my other three Apple devices: iPad2, iPhone 5s and a new Apple TV. Having major Mail issues here. Everything is very delayed and extremely slow. Moving emails to other folders sometimes takes a few minutes and the same goes for deleting emails. Delete them and they don't go into the trash for several minutes. It's getting very frustrating to say the least. Mail also quits very often. Mail also will freeze with the little color ball spinning, therefore I would have to force quit Mail. When the errors occur, it's automatically sent to Apple but there hasn't been an update since 10.9.1 that has fixed it. Apparently, that update was only for gmail issues. Anyone having the same problem? Fixes please?

I have my entire network and all Apple devices setup as IMAP, not POP. If your settings are setup as a POP account on all devices, emails will not erase when deleted on your other devices. Just something to keep in mind. I'm sure you're aware of this but just wanted to throw it out there. Google IMAP vs POP. However, it seems like your having the same issues as I am. I'm going to swing by an Apple store by me and speak to the genius bar and see if they can come up with something or are aware of this issue. Keep you posted.

Having internet connection problem with a new Actiontec GT794WG

I am currently using Westell 327w which works completely fine. Its internet light comes on after few seconds the DSL light becomes solid. I am trying to change it to GT794WG, because I have been using 327w about 4 years.
By the way, I am having a connection difficulty with my new GT794WG modem.
Although I connect every necessary cables such as DSL, Ethernet cables and turn it on, an internet light on the modem does not flash. There is no problem with DSL light. It becomes solid after few blinking. Only problem is the internet light. I know that it refers that the modem can not connect with the internet.
I don't understand why the new modem can't connect to the internet which my old modem can?
Can anyone help me solve this problem?

I'm having major buffering problems since the IOS7 upgrade. Proxy settings are set to off.

I,m having major problems with buffering on my iPad & iPhone since the IOS7 update. My proxy settings are set to off.

Turning off and back on or hard reset seems to work for a day or two. After resetting I am occasionally losing messages that were there before reset. In addition, I have had 3 messages that I received a notification for when they came in but go into messages and not there. Message incon still shows 3 unread messages but when I open messages I have no unread messages??? Power on-off or hard reset does not seem to fix this. At least a reset gets imessages working again. Hope fix is out soon. This is a PIA.

I am suddenly having Bluetooth connection problems with my 3G

I have an Iphone 3G, I have had it for a while (not quite upgrade time) and I have been using a Samsung WEP 490 with it since the day I got it. All of the sudden within the last 2-3 weeks, my bluetooth will disconnect and reconnect repeatedly from the phone even when they are side by side. I thought that maybe the bluetooth was dying, so I went and bought a new one (different brand and iphone compatible it said) But i had the exact same problem... only worse! Is anyone else having this problem, or know how to fix it? I don't know what changed. The last time I tried to software update on my iphone it said I was up to date so I'm not even sure if it is a software issue. My sister is having the same problem having her phone connect to her car (also all of the sudden and same phone). I am running 4.2.1 Is there a way to find out when that install took place so I can see if it coincides with the problem?

Having internet connection problems

I have been having problems connecting to the internet. I have an iMac, and frequently my internet connection drops, then I have to turn wi-fi off and turn wi-fi back on.
This can happen repeatedly, sometimes in switching from one webpage to another.
We didn't have this problem when we first got the iMac, and I didn't notice a problem until I activated the firewall, when the computer is purchased.
Could the problem have to do with setting preferences?
Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated.

Unfortunately there are quite few threads on here where users seem to have intermittent wifi connectivity issues, and there doesn't seem to be one-fix-for-all solution.
You could try these ideas one at a time to see if any one of them helps.
I've seen it reported on here that deleting the wifi connection entirely in Network Prefences and re-creating a new one can help.
You could also try adding these openDNS numbers (if there are any numbers listed already made a note of them in case you need to re-instate them): System Preferences>Wifi>Advanced Button>DNS tab - on the left at the bottom click the plus sign and type the numbers 208.67.222.222 - click the plus sign again and add these 208.67.222.222 and save the settings.

Is anyone else having major performance problems with FMLE since the upgrade to Mavericks

OSX Mavericks seems to be having problems with streaming uploads in general, but in particular, I can not stream videos with FMLE at all. I tried it with my accounts at Ustream and Justin and they have the exact same results, with the stream pausing and going black after just a couple minutes. It doesn't seem to matter what my output settings are; this will happen even if it's set for extremely low bandwidth.
This did not happen when I was using Mountain Lion. I am almost certain the new OS is causing the issues, but I am not sure how or why, and am having trouble finding others with this problem.
Other programs I am using in conjunction with FMLE are CamTwist and Soundflower

I have problem streaming to twitch/justin.tv using Mavericks.
I've tried most of their FMS-servers without success. I get this loop:

I am having ongoing connection problems with the Clash of Clans app which means that I lose battles, resources or boost times. This results in a loss of gems which I have purchased but will not be refunded as they will not accept responsibility.

Whilst playing Clash of Clans I will continually lose the internet connection. This means that I lose battles, resources, gold etc and lose boost times. I have informed Supercell who blame my internet connection even though the iPhone, laptop and TV all work fine so it is obviously a technical problem with their game and probably something to do with their last updates.
As I have purchased gems I feel that I should be compensated for my loss but they will not accept responsibility nor investigate the technical issue. The loss of connection occurs constantly with the game often freezing during replays or searching for battles. This is obviously not a connection issue.
What suggestions do you have to resolve this situation?

Thanks for the reply. I asked because I also wanted to see if others had encountered the same problem.
I have no problems with my internet connection as I run my TV, laptop and iPhone off the same connection with no problems. I believe that since the recent updates to the game this has caused the problem. The game often freezes, cancels out or returns me to the main game screen during battles or replays.
What I want to know is how do I get the game designers or owners to acknowledge my problem as at this time they keep telling me it is my internet that is a problem and not their game. How do they know this when they refuse to investigate. What can I do and who do I go to for support if they won't accept responsibility?
I am very grateful to you for replying but concerned that if this can happen to me then how many other gamers are losing out and paying for something that they are not going to receive.

I seem to be having ethernet connectivity problems on my thunderbolt Macs - can anyone help?

Today (fateful coincidence?) BOTH my Thunderbolt Macs (27" i7i iMac and 13" MacBook Pro) report No connection to internet in Safari - using Network Diagnostics shows Ethernet/Internet to be working fine, but Safari error continues (onscreen message has strange formatting - each line of the message is repeated three times). This problem looks identical to an earlier problem which was fixed by an early Thunderbolt Display firmware update. Swapping ethernet on my Macbook Pro from Display Ethernet to MacBook Ethernet results in same problem. Meanwhile Email continues to work fine! Any insights/hints/lifelines greatfully received ...

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. First, disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard, mouse, and monitor, if applicable, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including your login items.
Launch the application(s) and test. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)

Update to iOS 8.0.2 having network connection problem.

When i updated to iOS 8.0.2 for iPhone 6 and there is network connection. My service show "No Service" when my SIM card is inside my iPhone 6 without removing it. Is it only iOS 8.0.2 having issue for iPhone 6?? Anyone could help me?
