Having trouble getting a job to run using job scheduler
I am using Oracle 11g. I run a sql script that schedules a job:
exec sys.dbms_scheduler.create_job( job_name => '"SYSTEM"."UCR"', job_type => 'EXECUTABLE', job_action => 'D:\UserCountReport\bin\ucr.bat', repeat_interval => 'FREQ=HOURLY;BYHOUR=3;BYMINUTE=0;BYSECOND=0',start_date => to_timestamp_tz('2011-07-21 US/Eastern', 'YYYY-MM-DD TZR'), job_class => 'DEFAULT_JOB_CLASS', auto_drop => FALSE,enabled => FALSE);
exec sys.dbms_scheduler.set_attribute( name => '"SYSTEM"."UCR"', attribute => 'job_weight', value => 1);
exec sys.dbms_scheduler.enable( '"SYSTEM"."UCR"' );
commit;
exit;When I am connected to the database, I run these commands:
SQL> SELECT JOB_NAME, STATE, job_action, repeat_interval FROM DBA_SCHEDULER_JOBS
where job_name='UCR';
JOB_NAME
STATE
JOB_ACTION
REPEAT_INTERVAL
UCR
SCHEDULED
C:\UserCountReport\bin\ucr.bat
FREQ=HOURLY;BYHOUR=9;BYMINUTE=0;BYSECOND=0
SQL> SELECT JOB_NAME, status FROM DBA_SCHEDULER_JOB_LOG where job_name = 'UCR';
JOB_NAME
STATUS
UCR
SUCCEEDED
UCR
SUCCEEDED
UCR
SUCCEEDEDHowever, I don't get any signs that the job has run even though Oracle says all the runs have succeeded. The batch file that the job is supposed to execute creates a file and writes stuff to it. However, the file is not written. When I run the batch file from command prompt, it executes correctly.
I have tried following instructions here:
Answers to "Why are my jobs not running?"
However, all three of these commands return errors:
SQL> select value from v$parameter where name='job_queue_processes';
select value from v$parameter where name='job_queue_processes'
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
SQL> select count(*) from dba_scheduler_running_jobs;
select count(*) from dba_scheduler_running_jobs
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
SQL> select count(*) from dba_jobs_running;
select count(*) from dba_jobs_running
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00942: table or view does not existI've tried various other commands from that list and I get errors as well.
I'm not quite sure where to go from here to troubleshoot this problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

So I changed my script to this:
exec sys.dbms_scheduler.create_job( job_name => '"SYSTEM"."UCR"', job_type => 'EXECUTABLE', job_action => '%windir%\system32\cmd.exe /C D:\UserCountReport\bin\ucr.bat', ....I now have this:
SQL> SELECT JOB_NAME, status FROM DBA_SCHEDULER_JOB_LOG where job_name='BOXTONE_
MONTHLY_UCR';
JOB_NAME
STATUS
BOXTONE_MONTHLY_UCR
FAILED
BOXTONE_MONTHLY_UCR
SUCCEEDED
BOXTONE_MONTHLY_UCR
SUCCEEDED
JOB_NAME
STATUS
BOXTONE_MONTHLY_UCR
SUCCEEDEDIs there a place with log files that will tell me why the job failed? If so where are the log files located?

Hi,
What's your operating system and browser?
You should ensure that Flash Player is enabled in your browser.
If you are using Windows and Internet Explorer:

I'm now having trouble getting mac mail to work on my mac. The mobile me account works great on iphone and ipad but it won't connect to my mail account. Password is correct. What else can I do? Using OS10.68
HI,
The Apple IDs from @mac.com and @me.com (Older MobileMe and more recent iCloud Names) are also Valid AIM Screen names.
Any other sort of Apple ID is not a Valid AIM Name.
A Google ID that is associated with Google Mail Account (And has "Talk" enable on your Google Settings) can be used in iChat as Jabber Name/ID. (Google Run Jabber server).
Jabber and AIM are different IM Services and it is not easy or straight forward to add Buddies from one Service to the Buddy List of another. (As A Starting point consider it "impossible")
iChat 4 and 5 have links to the registration page of @Mac.com here with a "Get an iChat Account" button in the add (Account) screen (You select @mac.com or MobileMe and then press the Button - Choosing AIM and then pressing the button used to lead to the AIM registration page but AIM moved their page).
Apple IDs can be any valid email (or an @mac.com or iCloud registration)
Therefore you could make a Google ID into an Apple ID.
However this will not be a valid AIM Screen Name the way @mac.com or MobileMe/iCloud ones are.

I have an older IPOD classic that I'm having trouble getting new purchases from library to IPOD. I use to have a IPOD icon in the source list on the left side of the screen. Now that is all gone. My purchases are coming up as recently purchased but can't figure out how to get them transferred to IPOD. I also can't find how to confirm setting is for manual not auto sync as the first computer I had blew up and am now using a different one. I haven't had any of these problems prior to the updates.
G'day Mate,
As an avid flight simmer I bought a new soundcard my previous was
an audigy 2 platinum ex with an external module I really liked but somehow all of a sudden I was getting a screech when using FS9 sor I opted to change to the present. Well stone the crows my soundcard was auto updated with new drivers and well you guessed it the soundcard did not show in the sound video controllers window No I have just joined this forum and it looks like3 you may have the answer for me . I am now going to do as you suggest and see what happens.

Im having trouble getting my macbook pro to boot up after a fail safe boot, im getting as far as the grey screen with the apple loggo. so im trying to run a disk repair but is saying the disk is locked, how do i unlock disk??
Some clarification may help.
You say you cannot boot normally. It shows a gray screen with the Apple logo.
Did you say it will boot successfully in Safe Mode (boot, then hold down the Shift key)?
How did you boot the machine to run Disk Utility? (Which keyboard combinations)? -
hi all
im having trouble getting my laptop to connect to my mac using migration assistant. my mac has a code on the screen but my laptop doesnt respond and just says it waitng for my mac to respond.
any idea? pleaseHi Christina, belated welcome to Apple Discussions if nobody said it already.
I've had some experiences with these new flash memory recording camcorders, and I'll give you a quick rundown of what I've learned. Many of them (JVC, Panasonic, etc.) tend to record in a .MOD file format, which is non-standard, proprietary, and unrecognizable by most software. I thought Canon was usually a little more standards-compliant, but it appears they also use this .MOD format in your specific camera model. There are likely a couple ways we can get around this though!
In order to play the files, you will likely need to change their file format (.MOD) to .AVI manually. You'll have to locate the files on your Mac, and then manually change the file names so that the file extension (after the period) is .AVI
At that point, a video player application such as http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html>VLC should play the files fine!
You should be able to transfer new video files from the camera to the Macbook Pro with no problems as well. Just plug in the camera to the computer via USB, and also make sure the camera is plugged in to charge. Once it's plugged in, open iMovie (came with the MBP, in the Applications folder) and the MBP should take care of the rest.
Let me know if you have any success with any of this!
FYI, the thread that I got some of the above information from is here:

What about when using the "Time Capsule" HD as the external disk, especially when it is connected by ethernet cable? I'm having trouble getting it to work at all. Don't need it to work as anything else, other than a ethernet connected Time Machine backup. Already have a wireless network that works fine so no need to mess with it. We get the internet via cable company and their modem is upstairs and the Time Capsule is downstairs in the basement. The latest error message was about it could not backup as it was already in use (should have written it down before clicking OK and moving on.
See if this helps...

I am having trouble getting my Lightroom 5.0 upgrade to accept my Lightroom 4.4 serial number. I recently installed Windows 8, 64 bit on a second solid state HD on my computer (had a virus problem for which I had to format C and reinstall everything). The new ss HD is drive C and my operating system and my programs are all installed there. All my documents and files are now stored on my original, reformatted drive, which is now drive D. I was using Windows 7, 64 bit. Could all this be the reason my serial number is not being recognized? PHH
Hi 48phh,
Yes Lightroom 5 takes the Serial Number of each previous version and you can do the Upgrade from any 1, 2 3, or 4 version of Lightroom,but somethig different for the Upgrade from the Mac App Store ... see how here: http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/upgrade-mac-app-version-lightroom.html
you installed Windows 8 and installing only the operating system, but keeping all the app certainly and during the operation something can be lost, especially if you run Clean after installing the system by deleting the folder containing the old system, it's better to wait to do so.
However, no problem, because to do the 'Upgrade all you need is the old serial number and don't need Lightroom4 to be installed on your machine ...

I am having trouble getting ITUNES to work I have deleted itunes and everything associated with it and reinstalled and I still get the same errors,
The application has failed to start because of MSVCR80.DLL
INTUNES WAS NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY ERROR 7
THIS APPLICATION FAILED TO START BECAUSE ICUDT49.DLL WAS NOT FOUNDGo to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:

Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

I'm having trouble getting a custom JPanel to display correctly...
HI, I'm having trouble getting a custom JPanel to display correctly. I'm using the JPanel inside a JFrame to display some really custom graphs. The graphing side of this whole thing works flawlessly. The problem I'm having is that when I close the JFrame by using setVisible(false); and then openning it again using setVisible(true); all the information on it is garbage. There are buttons from the JFrame which orgininally opened it and it has trouble openning a second graph if I choose too. I also have the same problem if i move the frame off the screen and move it back. I'd really appreciate any help.
Thanks!With option #1 -- I modified and rebuilt the 3rd-party JARs and referenced them in NetBeans. When I choose clean and build, the Ant processes results in an error: "jarsigner returns 1". So it doesn't seem to run at all.As long as you rebuilt the jars correctly without the original signature, I think it should work.
An example of unsigning a jar using ant is here:
http://frank.zinepal.com/unsign-a-jar-with-ant
Do you think the multiple-JNLP idea would work if NetBeans didn't apply "my" signature to the 3rd-party JARs? Aside from manually copying the original JARs into the \dist directory, is there a better way to tell NetBeans to leave the 3rd-party JAR alone (ie, don't sign it again)?I think it's supposed to work (it's the mixed code signing situation I referred to in my prior post).
For example, from your description it sounds like the default NetBeans build doesn't really support this style of deployment, so you would have to create a custom build which does what you need and is not triggered by NetBeans - which is doable, but annoying - it's sounds like you tried this, but were unable to get it to work as expected. For NetBeans specific help, you are better posting to a NetBeans forum (though you might be just the second person who has tried to do this with a JavaFX app).
Also need to check the end user experience is acceptable too, because I think the dialog and warning handling for the mixed code situation is different.
Look at the deployment guide section "Using <fx:resources> for Extension Descriptors" - I think it documents how to do what you want if you use a custom build file rather than letting NetBeans do the work:
http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/deployment/javafx_ant_task_reference002.htm#CIABGCEE
Hmm, a lot of running around to deploy an app which can open a file . . . -
Having trouble getting Unwired Platform to work.

Hi,
I'm having trouble getting the Unwired Platform to work on my server. I've installed everything on my machine.

If you're having trouble getting your Zen up and running, seriously, go to this thread. http://forums.creative.com/creativel...essage.id=8429?So many people have gotten their Zens to work by using these methods, and the thread should've been stickied on these boards long ago. It will help stop all the unanswered questions. Ozzey
Sorry for the slow reply. Yes, the fixes are for those V that are not recognised when plugged into a usb port. You should take the advice from altheus:?Simple solution that should work...
Download Windows Media Player from here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/download/download.aspx
With a program such as WinRAR or WinZIP extract the file "wmp-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe"
There should be a few EXE files:
wmp.exe ::: Windows Media Player Program Files
wmfdist.exe ::: Windows Media Player Distribution Pack
umdf.exe ::: User-mode Driver Framework (THE IMPORTANT ONE!!!)
Run them in this order.
Uninstall the previous MTP driver that has failed, and then restart.
Connect your Zen and it should detect and work perfectly!
PS. You don't need to have install the Validation thing for this to work. This seemed to be the one that helped most people. If that doesn't work, go to the Microsoft and look for "issues with Zen Potarble devices". It will tell you how to rollback to WMP0 (if you are using ) so that?it will recognise the V, and then reinstall MP, or just stay with 0, your preference. P.S. For this fix, you will?need to extract?the files of WMP Beta . Beta 2 and Final don't have it.Message Edited by Ozzey on 2-08-200606:54 PM
