Having trouble setting the look and feel

hi, i've almost finished my app and am trying to improve it's appearance. I'm trying to change the look and feel but i can't seem to get any changes to take effect. i've been reading through the tutorial on L&F but obviously am not 'getting' something.
At the moment all I'm trying to do, is to add the line below. I'm not totally sure where to put it though. I've tried putting it in the main method and nothing happens. I've also tried putting i the CreateandShowGUI() method and that doesn't seem to do anything either.
Where should it go?

Put it before you start assembling your GUI, ie. instantiating and adding components.

Hello everybody, I work as a Graphic Designer for a company that is asking me to create an Icon for a software that we own, I am having trouble as to how do i go building one, I use Illustrator and Photoshop but I am not sure how to give the Icon the 'Look and Feel' of an Icon, the colors look a bit different and so the 'texture' of my vector image. If anyone can explain me or point me to a good website that explains how should I go on building an icon so it looks like an Icon that will be great. don't know what you mean by "look and fell of an icon". You could go to vectortuts.com - it has lots of tutorials on the creation of different icons. Also check hicksdesign.co.uk for their presentations on icon concepts

Is this a new Apple iD? If it is, and you have already set it up, then you have two options:
1. Temporarily put a Credit Card or Gift Card on the account to download the free app. If you put a credit card, then once you have downloaded the app, you should be able to go into your Account preferences and change the payment option to = None.
2. You can download the fee App, and then set up a new Apple ID.

Setting defaut look and feel under Gnome generates errors.

We are migrating some of our developer machines to linux, and in the process we are testing in house applications to ensure that in program file locations are correct and that everything just works. Each of our applications set the default look and feel at startup, which hasn't been a problem until now. Errors are being generated, despite no apparent affect on the application or how the application looks. Commenting out the the line of code that sets default look and feel result in an application that looks exactly the same, but with no errors. Keeping the line commented isn't an option, since the applications look horrendous in a Windows environment w/o the Windows L&F.
My question is: Since these errors have no apparent affect on the application, do we need to worry about them? Can they be safely ignored?
UIManager.setLookAndFeel(UIManager.getSystemLookAndFeelClassName());will generate errors during application lifetime, a snippet of the errors:

I want the header to be displayed in Bold with Underline to it.

It does not work this way. You have to use a content editor webpart.

I created one custom Look and feel (CLAF) stylesheet(like., font color, types are changed) for my project requirements.
Everything is working fine.but the problem is under Footer, global links are not visible and also no space between the copyright and Privacy statement. how i will resolve this problem. please help me on this.

Have you used the "Customizing Look and Feel Administrator Responsibility" to create the new look and feel.
That has some bugs.
If you have followed the standard way of doing it, you can log a SR with support and ask.

SSHR reskin AKA 'How to Use Adobe Flash to Transform the Look and Feel...

There was a presentation at the OHUG 2011 Conference titled 'How to Use Adobe Flash to Transform the Look and Feel of Oracle HR Self Service'. It presented a method of 're-skinning' SSHR to present a different UI to the user.
Looking for anyone out there that has attempted to apply this to their Oracle HRSS pages. I know this company has developed (is developing?) a product based on this approach. I want to see if anyone has done it on their own and would be willing to share some details.
Follow-up question. Has anyone availed themselves of the bespoke UI Development based on this approach from Applaud Solutions (as mentioned on their website), and care to comment on your experience?

Any update on this please? Even we are looking for some pointers in this area.

Hello Tj,
You can spend some time on how to create your own Template, but it comes down to design your site in html and then break it into pieces and change the Templates in APEX with that html.
In that html you use tags e.g. #BOX_BODY# to tell APEX where the forms and reports need to come.

I think the best method is to just try it. Sure we give a course on that too, so it's up to you if you need training on that or the doc/your tries are sufficient or not.
Once you know how things work you can do pretty much everything.

"Unlike". iOS 7 doesnt display well on my 4S. iOS 6.1.3 should still be supported for older hardware. I think I shall me moving to Samsung Galaxy now. Was really hoping hte new iphone would get a bit larger.

What turns the trial into the live software is signing in. If you sign in with the Adobe ID that has the subscription, the trial becomes live. First check your account on Adobe.com to make sure that the subscription is live.
