When it asks for another ID on an App Update, it means that the application was purchased under your sister's ID but downloaded to your device from the iTunes library that you share. Even though you both have your own Apple IDs, since you are syncing on the same computer, you are using the same iTunes library.
Whoever purchased the app is forever tied to it, and you can only have one version of a particular app in a single library....

I took the iPod to the local Apple shop. The guy put the iPod onto a docking station and checked it - answer "connections are OK". Disappointed after buying Apple Product...because sometimes they are prevented from sharing such information? they don't know? could even require sending it 'out' to a repair center.
though with most electronics, there is only so much that can be swapped out, and even then a new unit and let engineering see what and why.... and maybe there is a defective chip, sensor or even shorting -

Why won't it let you sync? What happens when you try to sync it? Any error messages from iTunes? How is your iPod configured to sync music from your iTunes library? In other words, what options do you have selected from under the iPod's Music tab in iTunes? To access this tab, plug your iPod in, select it under Devices in the left hand pane of iTunes, and over to the right locate and select the Music tab along the top.
Or are you trying to manually manage your iPod's contents? In other words, is the Manually manage music and videos option enabled from under the iPod's Summary tab?

This problem happened to me a month ago. The way I used to fix it:
1. Go it DFU Mode. For going into that, check this page.
2. Connect your iPod to your PC which has iTunes and iTunes will detect your iPod in recovery mode.
3. Press Shift + Restore if you have the .ipsw firmware file downloaded on your windows PC or just click Restore and follow the instructions to download the firmware file.
4. Wait and finally you're done! -
