Can anybody tell me the difference between Header table
and item detail table . for eg: EKKO(Purchasing Document Header ) and EKPO(Purchasing Document Item) TABLE.

Header Table:
It is the key table for any Business Process Document. i.e. When a document is created the doc number, is stored as key in this header table.
Eg: For EKKO -- EBELN is the Key.
Other Details that relate the entire document like document creation date, document value etc are also stored along with it in the header table.
Item table:
For any document created in header table we may have 0 or more items. These individual items are stored in Item table. This item table contains Document Number and Item Number combination as key. These individual items have their own values. The combination of item values can be in header table.
Eg: EKPO - EBELN and EBELP is the key.
The net value in the header doesnot guarantee the total of item values. This may depend upon condition tables that apply on each item.

I am looking at the keys on the Opportunity Header and Item table which are GUIDs.
I have the following scenario.
1. My source table contains the Opportunity Header GUID
2. My target table requires all the fields from the source table and some Opportunity Header and Item attributes
I can write WHERE clause logic for my Opportunity Header attributes
For my Opportunity item attributes I was going to introduce a count - this is not possible with Item GUID unless a part of the GUID is incremental for each line by 1 or there is a maintained field otherwise as part of the Opportunity Item which is a number representation for each line.

Hi,
In the CRMD_ORDERADM_H table you have the Opportunity GUID as well as the Object ID which is the opportunity id. In the CRMD_ORDERADM_I table, you have the GUID and also the NUMBER_INT which is the item number. See if you can use the item number.

Header will be always a single time data in a transaction
where as Item data is Multiple lines of data
Item data in most of the times consists of more number of lines.

Header and Item table - Form Design Question

Hi All,
I have a header table and Item table. For every record in the header table I have multiple records in the item table. I want to have a adobe form in the following way
1. A new page starts for every record in the header table and Items in the item table for this header record can span multiple pages with the same header information.
2. When all the items are displayed for that particular header record, a new page should start for the next header record.
I created one internal table in the following way
Header_field1 Header_field2 Item_table(with all the items for this header record)
Header_field1 Header_field2 Item_table(with all the items for this header record)
I am not sure how to use a table for this scenario (Should It be a nested table?).
Please provide me some ideas.

I have a nested table like the one below.
Main table u2013 Has header and Items information. Every header record has some header information like BP number, name and all line items for that BP in a nested table .

In the output BP number in the first record of IT_HEADER gets displayed and then all the Item records in IT_ITEMS for that BP get displayed. This is repeated all the records in IT_HEADER which is perfectly fine.
Please provide me some suggestions to solve the following issues I am having
1.     I need a page break between records of IT_HEADER. I want the new subform1 for the next header record to start in a new page. I tried conditional break option, on the only field BP number in header sub form. I have two master pages and two body pages. All the above information is in master page 2 and body page 2. I am also not sure what to select in the TO section of the conditional break screen.
2.     When there is an overflow in IT_ITEMS I need the Header sub form to be shown in the next page too.

Both has same functionality.
but if u are using FAE, u ahev to check for the
~intial condition of the source table,
~ duplicate entries, if any
Inner join will fetch the data from all the join tables at once. FAE will fetch the date from a table first then use that data to fetch data from subsequent table.
say in ur case, if u r using FAE,
1.select from mkpf.
2.select from mseg fae in I_MKPF.
first try using JOIN. if it is taking lots of time, then try FAE.

The Line item table always have the header tables key as one of the key field. so u can use it.
for eg : VBAK-vbeln and VBAP-vbeln
Vbeln is the link between sales header and item table.

I am very confused to find table name like BOM header,production header or item i know table name BOM header is STKO,& Order header AFKO.As per procedure am go to header press F1 i got table name but not header or item table name.

there is difference in table name and field,
Put cursor in screen field, press F1, it will show description about this field. Then press "Technical Information" button, you can get field name and table / structure / view. If you get a table / view field, check the data in table / view, you may find it there.
Exploring Search help (display available list to help input value by pressing F4 in screen field).
Sometimes field with search help can be found be displaying field in its search help. Example, tcode XD03 (display customer) field Customer (RF02D-KUNNR). It is a stucture field, to find the table, place cursor in screen field, press F4 (display search help), run search help until it show available list. In this list, place cursor in field customer, then press F1 to display technical info. You will get table/view field for this

Create xml file with nested internla table or with header & item tables

Hi I have a requirement like, I need to create an xml file for header and item details. For 1 header there may be multiple line items.
I did search in forums some where I came to know that we can use XSL:IF to achieve this. but I could not able to do this.
I tried with using nested internal tables also but now luck.
can anybody please suggest how can we create xml for header and item detials.

For this you will need to define header for the ALV. Here is a simple example how to do this:
First you need to write one Header form like following:
FORM f004_header USING it_head TYPE slis_t_listheader..
DATA : wa_line TYPE slis_listheader.
CLEAR wa_line.
wa_line-typ = 'H'. " H = Header, S = Selection, A = Action
wa_line-info = 'List of Sales Orders'.
APPEND wa_line TO it_head.

before calling REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY you need to call following

Table name for the AMOUNT field in header details of costomer invoice

I need the table name for the field AMOUNT(wrbtr) which is in header details in fb70 tcode .I have checked many tables like bseg bsid, there its showing the amount but at item level.

the table behind structure INVFO is RBKP (Header level).
For item level you have table RSEG.
These tables refer to MM.
Once the MM documents are completed and you post the corresponding invoice RBKP data goes to BKPF and RSEG data goes to BSEG data.
The relattion between MM(RBKP/RSEG) and FI(BKPF/BSEG) documents is in field BKPF-AWKEY. This field usually contains (RBKP-BELNRRBKP-GJAHR that is MM documentMM year).
e.g. (BKPF-AWKEY = 51056024412009)

If u r talking about the whole record in VBAP then it is possible. But if it is only with the field VBELN then ideally its not possible. But some one has modified VBAP table data from SE16N transaction.
When we create an order VBAK and VBAP tables will be filled with header and item details. But later
If u delete all the line items from the order then in ur VBAP table there won't be any entries for that VBELN while ur VBAK still have an entry. Just open that order in VA03 and see if it has any line items. I hope there won't be any.
If u need still more clarity then create an order and check the tables. Later delete all the line items from the order and check the atbles again.

How to stretch background image, How to change show detail item header

Hello all I have a few questions I would like to pose humbly to your collective wisdom, FYI I use Jdeveloper 11.1.3 and ADF Fusion
First, how do I stretch the background Image? I have a background image in a show detail item but it is very small. 400 by 400. Thing is it's just a pic of the color red gradually moving from bright to dark in the image. So stretching it should not make it look horrible, but also repeating it makes it look silly, because you have 50 little images of dark red to bright red, instead of one big image of dark red to bright red. Can this be done and how?
Secondly how do I change the header of the show detail item in a Panel Accordion? I have 8 Show detail items, in the middle of my page and the user can click and switch between which one is open, which makes for a nice effect, but I would like to give each of the show detail items a particular color. I did this with the backgrounds but I can't do it with the header, which are always visible, while only one background is visible at a time. I tried using the skinning technique but I wasn't able to change the header (I changed the background so the skinning was done correctly). I used

}Because I read in the Fusion Guide (or somewhere) that the show detail item cannot be skinned and therefore doesn't have a property like af panel Accordion.

Third when I drop the data control on the page and if I pick search form, why can't I use the CreateInsert button? Why can't I use the form to Create new rows? It keeps giving me some type of error, like Row is out of bounds or something? Is that some mistake with my database, or page, or is it not possible to do it like that?

Thanks I haven't really had time to play around with this, as I have other concerns, but I do plan on coming back to it, and it is one of the things about ADF that really is bothersome. Creatively it means I can choose between 2 styles when making an app Blaf Rich and Fusion (the other ones are just worse versions of the two) while I will concede that the superb out of the box functionalities and things I can do declaratively probably mean I won't have a Dreamweaver type freedom of design I thought there might be a way to do some of these custom design changes.
A few questions though
When you skin the accordion are you able to propagate the changes to show detail item headers? Because that is one thing that I really want to change, just the color of the headers but I was unable to do so.
Also there is a component that is not part of a panel accordion or panel tabbed called panel box. Again I changed the backgrounds to great effect but I need to change the panel header and in this I failed.
Granted I used the css color attribute for both not a picture so maybe that is the reason. Just wondering if you succeeded.

This stores in text objects so you need to pass
Here is simple thing to find what to pass to the read_text function module.
Go to delivery - If you want to find header text - GOTO (on application menu) - Header -texts - Double click on the text where you enter text - GOTO (on application menu) - Header - This will give you a popup kind of screen where you can find the
text name (if it is header - only delivery number and if it is item - deliverynumber + item number ) , lang, Text id, Text object
This will give you the required parameters... .

Here is an example to clarify the ideas:
In general, every time you have a header-> lines structure you have a unique key for the lines that has at least header key plus one or more fields. I'll make use of this fact.
I'll try to put an example of how to work with header -> line items and a cache technique using hashed tables.
Just suppose that you need a list of all the material movements '101'-'901' for a certain range of dates in mkpf-budat. We'll extract these fields:
mkpf-budat
mkpf-mblnr,
mseg-lifnr,
lfa1-name1,
mkpf-xblnr,
mseg-zeile
mseg-charg,
mseg-matnr,
makt-maktx,
mseg-erfmg,
mseg-erfme.
I'll use two cache: one for maintaining lfa1 related data and the other to maintain makt related data. Also I'll only describe the data gathering part. The showing of the data is left to your own imagination.
The main ideas are:
1. As this is an example I won't use inner join. If properly desingned may be faster .
2. I'll use four hashed tables: ht_mkpf, ht_mseg, ht_lfa1 and ht_makt to get data into memory. Then I'll collect all the data I want to list into a fifth table ht_lst.
3. ht_mkpf should have (at least) mkpf's primary key fields : mjahr, mblnr.
4. ht_mseg should have (at least) mseg primary key fields: mjahr mblnr and zeile.
5. ht_lfa1 should have an unique key by lifnr.
6. ht_makt should have an unique key by matnr.
7. I prefer using with header line because makes the code easier to follow and understand. The waste of time isn't quite significant (in my experience at least).
Note: When I've needed to work from header to item lines then I added a counter in ht_header that maintains the count of item lines, and I added an id in the ht_lines so I can read straight by key a given item line. But this is very tricky to implement and to follow. (Nevertheless I've programmed it and it works well.)
The data will be read in this sequence:

select data from mseg int table ht_mseg having in count all the data in ht_mkpf
loop at ht_mseg (lines)

   Can any one please guide me how can I send different Partner data to Header & Item by running a Z Quotation Report in SE38. Actually Now I am able to create a Quotation which takes same Partner data of Header to Item data as well but my requirement is to send different Partner data to Header & Item in a quotation.
