Header in ALV print (no OO)

Hi friends! I need some help. I made an ALV using function (not OO). IN screen everything is fine, inclusive header with logo, but when I send it to printer, all header don't print! Why my header don't get printed?

In the grid, we have big-sized 'Report Fiotec of users ', space line before is ignored.
In print preview as in the spool file, 'Report Fiotec of users ' is output on top in default character size.
You may set a breakpoint in the Form to see if it is called and processed correctly. Possibly it is because you try to create the output only on first page - that mean only once in your case. Better check IF SY-PAGNO = 1 or use the event TOP_OF_LIST.

For some column headers in a report, the translations in Turkey are more than 40 characters, because of which while executing the report in TR language, the column header is getting truncated.
So, I would like to know if we can increase the column header length while printing the ALV Grid(OO ALV) output.
Or else, Is there any way where we can divide the column header into 2 rows.

The problem we have is with the column headers, there is a limit of 40 characters for the column header in ALV reports. So, increasing the outputlen also did not help.

Multiple Heading in ALV Grid

I have a requirement to display Multiple heading in ALV Grid, I am using the Class 'cl_gui_alv_grid'. please let me know if you have Any suggestions.

I had attempted to do it in the object oriented way, but found no ready solution, so I settled for the below solution.
Please use the function REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE.
This allows you to print multiple lines in the header.
I had a requirement of showing 5 lines in the header.
So i went on like:
DATA: it_list_commentary TYPE slis_t_listheader,
 wa_list_commentary TYPE slis_listheader.
wa_list_commentary-typ = 'H'.
wa_list_commentary-info = <text>.
APPEND wa_list_commentary TO it_list_commentary.
wa_list_commentary-typ = 'S'.
wa_list_commentary-info = <text>.
APPEND wa_list_commentary TO it_list_commentary.
I fed he internal table with all 5 lines like above.
Finally I called the function.
CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE'
 EXPORTING
 it_list_commentary = it_list_commentary.

Header in ALV grid

Read the posted messages but still have some query regarding layout of Header in ALV grid. Using ALV Grid (not OO concept) in the report.
- Can texts be printed in two sections in a single row like
Name : Designation:
Age: Cost Centre:
- How to increse the row size of the header. Right now have to scroll to see the complete header.

The font size depends on what you have specified for the parameter SLIS_LISTHEADER ( H = Header, S = Selection, A = Action are the valid values), I don't think we have selection of the font size as such.
So, in your case you can specify Name / Designation as Header and Age / Cost Center as Selection so that they appear in different font.
I am guessing you are using the function REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE, for writing the header.

Its displaying well in output, but when I select excel download, the header is getting printed 4 times in the alv output and in the excel download it is printing twice. Please advise how to keep the header once. Note : I am not using any paging concept, simple header at the top.

You have to refresh your header internal table before populating it with data i.e,
FORM TOP.

2. if new set of field occurs : new header should be printed.
Can someone please suggest me how to do this using ALV report.
Details : I have to do subtotaling with a particular set of field 4 times. 2 times on the same field which i am doing it manually and creating an internal table which conatins all the information.

i got a requirement to disply material no.'s in descending order in lav grid/list both..
now, when i did sorting of the column, grid is displaying the output fine but in list HEADER IS GETTING PRINTED MULTIPLE TIMES, one for each new matnr [although it gets descendigly sorted],

Header in alv grid using class

    I developed alv grid using class method.
First I created CREATE OBJECT GR_CCONTAINER
then CREATE OBJECT GR_ALVGRID
then PERFORM FIELD_CATALOG TABLES GT_FIELDCAT----
for field catalog
    PERFORM LAYOUT CHANGING GS_LAYOUT.----
for header
    p_gs_layout-grid_title = 'class method'.
p_gs_layout-sel_mode = 'D'.
APPEND P_GS_LAYOUT TO IT_LAYOUT.
and finally CALL METHOD GR_ALVGRID->SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY
the report is cooming fine but in header it comes only "class method".
but i need also
1. reporting date
2. reporting time.
   can any body tell me how i can i put 2 more heading line

i need to dislay header as well as item details in an alv pop up. I am using FM REUSE_ALV_POPUP_TO_SELECT. but I am not able to get the header information. I am able to get the item details for a particular Purchase order number. I need to display purchase order number in the header of alv POPUP.

Header in ALV using Oops

I need to display Table header in ALV using Oops.
I need to data from 8 fields which I get in the run time of the program.
I am new to Oops ALV, I have done a similar thing in normal ALV but not in oops.
Detailed info required, Custom container settings as well.

Header line only prints on first page of multiple page document

Hi, I've created a SmartForms table and it has the Header, Main, and Footer sections. I've created table lines for the Header and Main sections. In the Header section, I've checked 'at Start of Table' and 'at Page Break'. The form prints multiple pages fine, BUT the header line only prints on the first page and not at any of the multiple page breaks.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing this?

Remove that 'at Start of Table' check box and check it.
