Header Link not working well

Question

I created a header file and included it inside every page.

I used a index.jsp (<jsp:forward page="faces/createProduct.jsp" />) and forward user to the createProduct.jsp page. On the createProduct page, the outputLink generated:
Product List
which looks correct. When I clicked on the link, it shows: http://localhost/myContext/productList.jsp
Apparently, the link is not working, since it does not go through the faces servlet.
If I submit the form (form is reload because of validation error), the html source is still <href="productList.jsp"ProductList</a>. However, when I click on the link, it shows http://localhost/myContext/faces/productList.jsp, which is good.
Looks like the forward on the index.jsp cause the problem. The web application root is still http://locahost/myContext after the forward. After I submit the first form, it became http://localhost/myContext/faces
How to resolve the problem? Thanks.

I think redirect on the index.jsp can solve the problem. Is there other way?
