Headers with Data Underneath

Hello all, I am pretty new to labview, and I've seen variations of this question asked, but none have really quite answered it the way I need it to. So my question is this: I want to put data underneath column headers, then append only the data. Right now I have it set up so it appends both the header and the data every run. I will attach the code I am using, the output file that my code produces, and the sample file which is what I would like my output file to look like. The files attached are .xls but I will be using .csv. (Attachment issue) Thanks in advance.

the context help for "Write to Text file" says "If you wire a file refnum to the file input, writing begins at the current file position. To append to an existing file, set the file position to the end of the file by using the Set File Position function." as can be read here...

Why can't you use a loop here? Which "setting" are you talking about?

Isn't that what you want? To write the latest data values without a header?
Why don't you attach a VI to show what you have programmed so far?

Can I change dates underneath events?

I am brand new to iphoto and have a question. There is a date, and sometimes a range of dates, that show up underneath each event when the mouse is placed over the event or the event is active. For some of my events, this date is accurate. For others, however, it is very inaccurate (for example, it will show a range of many years for the photos in the event that were all shot on the same day). It probably has something to do with settings on my digital cameras....anyway, is it possible to alter these dates?
I tried going in to Photos>Adjust Date and Time and made adjustments that way to all selected photos in the event, but to no avail...the dates underneath the event folder still display the original and inaccurate date information.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Booting Windows 8.1, blinking underscore problem - with data already on partition.

So I updated my OS X software from the App Store (just a newer version of Yosemite than before) not too long ago. I wanted to boot into windows because I had certain data and applications on there I needed that have no version for Mac. So I tried booting, but when I boot the windows partition, nothing goes beyond the blinking underscore. I tried researching the problem; people have had the issue with the blinking underscore, but that is when they tried installing windows [there was no data on the line]. I however installed windows quite a while back and it is stacked with data that is pretty important for me. If there was a way for me to transfer the data to an external drive or the Mac partition as backup, I'd gladly just re-install windows. But there's data, I need the data on that partition. I know it's 100% possible to get the data, but I'm not sure anyone has found a way yet[?]. I've seen solutions that require things like gdisk, but the problem where that stuff would be required is a little different from mine; their partition wouldn't show as being bootable at all, so I didn't try that method (I'm just being cautious, Macs aren't my specialty ) However, in Disk Utility, the partition is labeled as disk0s4, which is similar to those other problems people have had in the past. If possible, can somebody point me in the right direction, or maybe even walk me through it? I'd greatly appreciate it. And if my problem does get solved, can someone suggest a safe way of updating OS X without it corrupting my data on other partitions?

Well the only update other than Yosemite would be Autodesk Sketchbook from the app store, but I doubt that it would have to do with bootcamp, so no, there were no updates other than a new version of Yosemite. And have testdisk, but do I need to search for lost partitions? That's an option I can see here. If I need to look specifically for NTFS headers, then maybe I'd needs steps on how to do that.

EDIT 2: It stopped and showed me this message. My total hard drive space is 750 GB including all partitions. I honestly have no Idea why the 4000 and 3000 GB are showing up

Column headers and data are mismatched in Data tab of views after move col.

Currently, I am using Windows XP, SQL Developer Version 1.2.1 Build Main 32.13.
Java platform 1.5.0_06
Oracle IDE 1.2.1.3213
I'm having trouble with display of data from views in the "Data" tab of SQL Developer. If I move a column left or right of its original place, the data no longer line up with the proper column heading. The data are in the correct order, but the column headers are out of whack. Also, in the Single Record View, the data and column headers are mismatched.
Refreshing the view, closing the view, closing and reopening SQL Developer do not "reset" the view so that the data and proper column headers are lined up. Even dropping and recreating the view does not force SQL Developer to use the proper data-column header match.
Just to be clear, the data within the view is fine. It is the display of the data-column headers in the "Data" tab of SQL Developer (and the single record view) that is wrong. The mismatch seems to occur after a column is moved in the view.
Is this a bug? I like the ability to move columns around within the display of the view. However, much more important that the column headers and data line up correctly.

Thanks much. I found the correct file, deleted it, and the column headers and data match up again.
I found the correct file by searching the directory for one of the column names that occurs in the view (though I had to find both instances of "COLUMN_NAME" and "COLUMN NAME" (without the underscore)). Not sure why there were files with both versions.
Do you know if there is any way to prevent those XXXXXXXXXTableSettings.xml files from writing all together (oracle.javatools.controls.nicetable.NiceTablePersistentSettings)? I looked through the SQL Developer preferences but nothing jumped out as being the setting to switch off.
Should I be doing anything in particular to bring more attention to this potential bug so it might get fixed in a future release?

Details: Another try in fixing this bug. When legacy-collection is false, Actionscript Array on the client becomes Java Array on the server and my fix yesterday assumed this case. However, when legacy-collection is true, Actionscript Array becomes Java ArrayList on the server. So added code to handle this case.

this may be old news to some people, but I just realized we can have the desired benefits I originally listed (encapsulation, reuse, maintainability, security) TODAY by using pipelined functions and using the table() function in Apex report region queries.
So the report query basically becomes, for example (if get_employees is a pipelined function)
select * from table(my_package.get_employees(:p1_deptno))
The only downside compared to a (weakly typed) sys_refcursor is that you have to define the type you are returning in your package spec (or as an SQL type). So it's a bit more coding, but it's still worth it for the other benefits it provides.
I like Apex even better now! :-)

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A folder window will open. Inside it there should be files with names as follows:
Envelope Index
ExternalUpdates.storedata
Move those files to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have longer names that begin as above. Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is damaged and that Mail has to quit. Click OK. Warning: The process may take hours if you have gigantic mailboxes. For reasonable-sized mailboxes, it should only take a few minutes.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the files you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.

Custom Headers with LrHttp.post?

I am using custom HTTP headers in my application and this works
great with LrHttp.get. However, LR doesn't send anything when I try to do this with LrHttp.post.
My code looks like the following:

            local data, hdrs = LrHttp.get(url, customHdrs)
            data, hdrs = LrHttp.post(url, xxx, customHdrs)
Any ideas? Has anyone used custom HTTP headers with post before?

I've used standard headers with LrHttp.postMultipart, but not custom headers with LrHttp.post. Could you try using LrHttp.postMultipart instead to see if it has any more luck for you than LrHttp.post?
Also have you tried using something like Fiddler2 to intercept the HTTP traffic and confirm whether or not the headers were sent with the request?

Web Services deployment error "Server returned nothing (no headers, no data)" and more

I'm developing a large-scale VI with an associated web service VI in 2010 SP1. The "auxiliary VI" is responsible for data capture and analysis as well as communications and data storage. It is fairly large and communicates with the web method VI via network-shared variables [and I'm using the DSC module to allow event handling on the shared variables].
I can build and deploy the web method VI just fine and it runs great. However, I need to communicate between the auxiliary and web method VI's, and it looks like I can't do that without including the auxiliary vi in the RESTful web service build [by the way, is there any way to do this with web service builds?]. When I added the auxiliary vi to the build, it built fine, but then during the deployment I got:
"Server returned nothing (no headers, no data)"
The next time I tried to deploy, I got a spurious NI Auth dialog per this KnowledgeBase article. Following the instructions for case 1 ["Application Web Server failure since last start"], I ran Services.msc and found that NI Application Web Service was indeed not running. I tried to restart the service but got this error:
"The NI Application Web Server service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service."
The KnowledgeBase article suggests restarting at this point and I did, but I still see the same behavior. So I really have a few questions:
1. Is there any way to deploy a network-shared variable library across a deployed web service and local VI?
2. What causes "Server returned nothing (no headers, no data)" upon deployment? A google search returned very little.
3. What does this mean: "The NI Application Web Server service on Local Computer
started and then stopped..." and what do I need to do to get my Application Web Server back up?
[to heap on the pile... I tried to re-enable the Application Web Server from localhost:3580 and got an error. Then localhost:3580 went off-line also.]

Update.
I noticed that the Application Web Server was trying to deploy the broken web service and was choking on it. There seemed to be no way to erase the .lvws originally created by the build. I could delete the deployment folder at $(WebServicesRoot)\UserServices\deployed\<Service Name>-<Globally Unique Identifier (GUID)> but it was recreated from the .lvws every time I attempted to restart the service.
So I called NI and they pointed me to this directory [in XP]:
C:\Documents and Settings\LocalService\My Documents\LabVIEW Data\WebServices\Standalone
The .lvws was in this folder. I deleted it and now I can run the ApplicationWebService. Apparently this undocumented hidden file is a "not-quite-bug" that is recognized as needing a fix in upcoming releases.

Assistance with Data Merge for product sell sheets

Last year I started creating product sell sheets for our sales team. The sell sheet is built containg these elements: A product photo, a data table displaying product numbers, descriptions etc.. Underneath the photo and table is a text box. I have created a lot of these sell sheets for a variety of product categories. The prices are updated fairly often, maybe once every month or two. I created all of these using excel and Illustrator. Other than photoshop, Adobe products were forign to me and never looked into what indesign was capable of until now.
I am wondering if the data merge feature would be a good fit for what I am doing. I would be more than happy to share my project files. I am asking for a little bit of hand holding here to expedite this process. Anyone out there willing to take a look and help me out??

PDF Sell Sheet created in Illustrator (would like to have the same look and feel but have the data automated in Indesign)
Excel Data (Looking to reformat the way the data is displayed so that it would work well with Data Merge)

I don' think data merge will lend itself well to that sort of layout. It's just not sophisticated enough. For datamerge, all the data for each module has to be in one row on your excel sheet. Example: The setup on top will yield the example below. The image has a placeholder in the far left.
For your example, I think your best bet is to set up table styles. (table styles won't hold column widths, but there is a script that you can use for that: it's referenced in this thread. If you make good use of paragraph styles and table styles, it will still go much more quickly in InDesign.

Can not see the option Execution with Data Change in the infoprovider?

i can only see 2 options

Can Not Remove "with" Data from Calendar Event Details

I currently have a Palm Tungsten|E2. For a short time I used to sync it with my work computer; this was before they replaced the computer (lease was up) with a new one where it was locked down and I could not reinstall the Palm desktop. Since then I have been syncing it with my home computer that runs MS Vista. Just recently I have noticed that when I create new Calendar events on my Palm, they all get a new "With:" data line (and a user from my old job) after sync'ing with my home computer. Selecting this "With:" entry brings me to a screen that allows me to select from a list of people I may "Done", "Reply", or "Reply All" to; although selecting either reply only causes a fatal error that requires a soft reset (button on back of machine). Looking at the event through the desktop software shows no data point so that it may be cleaned.
I would like to know why my desktop software is adding this person to a "With:" data point to all new entires I create on the Palm hardware, how do I turn it off and keep it from doing it in the future.

Are you sync'ing the new device to the same username in Palm Desktop as an older device?
If you are, this will cause problems on the new device. When you sync the device, it saves the device settings, 3rd party apps, preferences, etc. in the backup folder in the username folder on the PC. When you sync the new device it copies the contents of the backup folder for the old device to the new device. This will cause corruption in the settings for the new device thus causing erratic behavior of the new device.
The best way to preserve your data is to export the data in each category in Palm Desktop to a seperate folder on your PC.
Create a new folder on your PC somewhere that is convenient. Name it something like Palm Desktop Data. Click on the link below and follow the instructions on that page for the export procedure.

Make sure you select all for the range in the export window.
With the data saved in the folder you created, make a copy of that folder and save to a flash drive, cd-rw or external hard drive.
Anytime you make a change in Palm Desktop, export the data that was changed to that folder and save again to the external media.
With this process you can always import the data back into Palm Desktop anytime you have a problem with the data in Palm Desktop or if your computer/hard drive/device crashes.
Looks like you may need to hard reset your device and rename your backup folder. Go to http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=887 and follow the directions to do a hard reset. Next before you hotsync your data back over you will need to rename your backup folder, to do that go here;

If you want to check the records daily instead of checking the data in R/3 manually ......
You can try this...
If you have staging DSO(level 1) that means whatever data is in source system load it to Staging DSO without any routines or any modifications.
Now load this DSO data to Cube or DSO(level 2) as per your requirement with routines etc.
Now Staging DSO contains Source system data.
Now the level 2 Cube or DSO contains BW data with some modifications.
Now create a Multiprovider based on level 1 and level 2 data targets.
Now create a report on which keyfigures you want to test the data.
In Multiprovider there is a field called 0infoprovider in data packet dimension.
you can drag this infoprovider to the columns and restict your keyfigures with level 1 and level 2 data targets.
In the first column you can see the level 1 DSO data ( source system data),in the 2nd column you can see the BW data.
Now create a formula which gives the diffrence b/n level 1 and level2.
that is R/3 data - BW data.
If the diffrence is zero both R/3 and BW data are same.
if the diffrence is not eqaul to zero check whether any routine is there or not.
